I've been going here for a couple of years on and off. I tried every type of diet before starting…read morehere and they didn't work. I'm very active as well, but what used to work when I was younger did not anymore. Since starting in 2018, I lost 45lbs and went from a 14/16 to a size 8/10. I stopped going for a while due to surgery, gained 15lbs from being sedentary for 6 months and decided to go back to Rivas in May. I was able to lose the weight again and I feel great. This isn't a quick fix. It's a tool to help you get on track with your habits. I love the nutrition counseling session and workbook they give you. It's a great starting point to reset your bad habits. Mine was portion size and too many carbs. I never went keto, but lowered the carbs significantly and logged everything. It's amazing how that works! The diet pills took my cravings away so I could stick to my better habits and not feel deprived. The staff is amazing and friendly. There are 2 providers on staff. One is a Dr, the other is a PA. They want you to ask questions and tell them if anything doesn't seem right or you have questions. I did more frequent visits at first and then once I got the hang of it, I spaced them out more. Overall, I highly recommend them. They will screen you for contradictions to the medication so make sure you tell them everything you're taking, but they are not your primary physician so make sure you speak to your primary too. My primary doesn't prescribe diet medication and doesn't do nutritional counseling, so Rivas is perfect for me. Coordination of care is always important.
