Our lives took a bad turn on April 11 when a serious fire ripped through our home. Heavy fire damage to my kitchen, porch (total losses) and attic -- along with smoke damage throughout the house, made it clear from the first hours that we needed a good team to get us back in our home of 23 years. Enter Bill Pacelia and Kristin Lemire, who did a tremendous job organizing the team, cleanup and demolition of damages. They also did an efficient inventory of items that would have to be thrown out or cleaned and stored for however long it would take to rebuild. They also were patient, answering each one of my many questions with courtesy and empathy.
Right after that very extensive process is when reconstruction Project Manager Mike Pacelia came in with a tremendous affinity for organization, which included working with the insurance company, lining up reliable contractors and putting together an ambitious schedule to get us in by Labor Day.
Guess what? We are moving in Sept 3, thanks in large part to a robust construction plan organized by Mike. He is not only a terrific project manager, his client services are such that he kept me informed every step of the way -- laying out my options and listening to what I wanted. He is no-nonsense, focused and driven.
The same holds true for everyone I worked with at AIR. Bill P. was with me the night of the fire -- recommended by a local fire chief whose opinion and counsel I hold in high regard. From the minute he put us in a hotel room, I knew I was in good hands with AIR.
How confident am I in AIR's performance? We aren't even done yet, but I know without question that they will execute these final days in their usual professional, efficient fashion.
Thanks to everyone for helping put our lives back together. It was an adventure, but I feel fortunate that AIR was by my side.
