We hired Matt to cater our wedding on April 6, 2019 and he was as absolutely PHENOMENAL. Everyone could not stop talking about how amazing the food was! Matt was professional, punctual, and just a complete pleasure to work with! I can't extend enough praise for American Heirloom and the food! Not only was our wedding catering amazing, we met up with Matt initially while he was posted up during his regular business hours and the food then was fantastic also! (See photos)

I've been searching for a really good Cuban sandwich for a long time, and this was exactly what I was looking for. The bread was perfectly toasted, the meat was tender and seasoned just right, and every bite was delicious. The service was friendly, and the overall experience made us feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back to try more from the menu. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food and an amazing Cuban sandwich, I highly recommend giving Sazón Caribeño a try!

But we went on a Friday night around 6pm and half of the trucks weren't open. The alcohol one wasn't open either! We were waiting around to see if maybe they're just behind because we saw a guy there, but nope. There was barely anyone there besides us. This place is fun and clean, and has so much potential. Hopefully it gets more traffic and more trucks open up.

A good after my own heart-Tacos, and my favorite cuisine-Korean BOOM I've found my forever go-to eats at Helotes Market Day!! I got one of each: Beef Bulgogi, Jukgang Pork, Chicken Kalbi Beef Bulgogi: Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Not greasy or overloaded with sauce. All the expected flair of authentic Beef Bulgogi. Even with the kimchi slaw, it wasn't spicy, my 5-year old shared it with me without a hitch. Doenjang Pork: Also well seasoned, perfectly chopped sized meat also not greasy or saucy. Just right! A hint of spicy, but also nothing my daughter couldn't handle. (Chicken) Dak Kalbi: Probably the best chicken version of my favorite Korean dish ever! It was the best smelling, had the most complex flavoring (you could really taste the Korean style flavors in this one) the spiciest of all, (but still tolerable for the non-spicy eater) and of course perfectly cooked and bite size chucks of meat. and if eating them right off the grill wasn't enough, they have a great selection of complimentary sauces, limes and cilantro onion garnish...I didn't get the name of the sauces because I seriously inhaled them as soon as they handed them to me. Marla and her husband (the amazing ‍ and fellow veteran) are awesome! it was such a treat to chat with Marla while waiting on my foodie treasure! I think I just made a new best friend!! The pricing is fair compared to other food vendors/trucks in the area especially for what they are offering. But even if they were a little pricey, I'd still eat them-because let's face it, there is no comparison to this amazing Korean Taco mobile! Even my husband who hates kimchi was convinced these are THE BEST Korean Tacos in San Antonio!! A once a month treat...keeps me wanting more!! A once a month treat that is well worth waiting for!!

It might be less busy now as the construction worker foodies that made up most of their clients have dropped off now. However, coming to their brick and mortar location is more convenient for me as I enjoy having my lunch in an AC environment opposed to outside in the Texas heat. The menu is also expanded which I do like. I went with the Pork Frintanga plate. Pork is very tasty and chewy which is a nice touch to me. Add in the sweet plantain and fried cheese and this dish was definitely a winner. Big change up from the food truck meals of mainly papoose, which are a great food truck item. Service is a bit quiet, due to the language barrier, and their lack of speaking English probably hurts the business for non Spanish customers. For me, it adds some authenticity to the experience.

This is the kind of place you come back to again and again when you want real food that actually satisfies.

This was a nice surprise treat. I don't agree with the bad reviews, and it was just shy of a 5. Let…read moreme address those bad reviews. The fries...these were a huge surprise! When I opened my plate, I was like great, crinkle fries usually mean bad fries. The fries were crispy but soft on the inside. Dare I say someone working the fryer either knows double frying, or resting refry...plus the seasoning sprinkled atop added to the perfect cook. I can't believe I'm saying that about fries. So please don't make me look bad and serve dry over cooked fries for anyone else that reads this and tries them. The Mexican burger, although a good burger, is not a classic Mexican burger. You can't just throw avocado and extra mustard and call it that. Seems to be the theme in town with places that sell it. I can count on one hand the places in town that sell a true Mexican burger. It was also a bit of a hot mess, but still a great patty and decent flavor. The birria was good. Just a tad bit over salted. Which compared to the 90 percent of other places that serve extremely salted birria in town, makes it a winner. Great tacos, great cheese, and the consume was delicious as well. We like them a bit more on the crispy rather than soggy, and they hit it out of the park on that. Again, you salt in stages, not at the beginning where the salt gets condensed in slow cooks. Just a guess. The mini tacos, I usually don't get them. We made an exception this time. Glad we did. The tortillas were nice, they were thin, and weren't para fried like at other trucks. What I mean is the tortilla wasn't tough. The asada was seasoned adequately, and they didn't skimp on the portions. What would have been perfect was some pickled onions. We added charro beans for a small charge. Those were good too as well as the rice. I feel like more and more places are starting to charge for what used to be beans included with your tacos. Overall affordable, great flavor, and decent portions. We would come back!

So I figured we could try out this food park to see what they had & maybe satisfy my craving. Sadly, I didn't find any place that had loaded fries lol but I found several trucks open on a Thursday around 430pm. A few trucks were closed, including a coffee truck and what appears to be a clothing boutique on wheels. I thought that was pretty unique. The parking lot is deceptive as it can fit maybe 8 cars straight across. If those are full, ummm you may have to play car tetris lol. That said, they have so many sources of family entertainment. There were two bouncy houses, giant jenga, other board games, and corn hole. I can see how this could make for a very fun weekend evening. There's also covered seating in case of inclement weather or you block you from the harsh sun. We ordered from three separate trucks, El Capricho Snacks, Zupollos Latin Foods and Swirlz. See separate reviews for those particular eats. I can see myself coming here when I was a little bit of everything lol.
