There is nothing worse than looking at your chimney and seeing pieces of brick falling out. This…read morewas happening with our chimney and each year, the problem got worse. It was only a matter of time before it would crumble completely. Time to get it repaired. Unfortunately it was too far gone for a repair so a complete tear-down and rebuild was necessary. I received a few bids but I leaned towards Tony because of his positive reviews on several review sites. That and the fact that his bid was very competitive. Also, TK Mason did not ask for a percentage of the payment to accompany the signed contract. Some companies require a payment up front before the work begins and the remainder of the payment due at the end of the job. This was the deciding factor for me. There were a few delays, thanks to our rainy Spring weather but once a clear day was forecast, Tony's guys showed up and started work. They worked on my chimney all day, ripping out the old one and building a complete new structure. Their attention to detail was impressive and their brickwork expertise definitely showed on the finished product. They cleaned up nicely and left me with a chimney that will most likely outlast the rest of the house. I've posted a photo of the chimney taken while our roof was being replaced.

Josh Haase communicated with me throughout the process, checking in regularly so that I knew where they were in the process as well. The wall is beautiful and honestly, I wish I'd called and had his team out years ago. Competitive pricing and stellar product! Not only that, on the final day, I hired him to perform a foundation inspection on my new property and he was able to get that done and a full report out to me and my agent in a very quick turn around. Fast forward 10 days and the bank had questions - I added Josh to the email chain and he put those concerns to bed. He's still providing service and cares almost 2 weeks after business has concluded - that's not a thing anymore. I highly recommend Haase to anyone who needs any work. I will be a repeat customer for sure!

After a number of quotes from different places, we had Accurate fix our issues. When the village inspector suggested a drain tile test the owner of Accurate was out in 15 minutes to asses the extra work and helped the team with the work. Well, turns out they were recently bought out by a private equity firm. Their salesman came out, took a look around the basement, and wrote up a quote for a $16,000 drain tile repair. He was very professional and took time to explain the quote to me. The only problem was that I then had an independent drain tile inspector come out a few days later and tell me there was no sign whatsoever that I had a drain tile issue. He told me it was clear the water came in through the windows, and that I should repair the drainage in the window well and replace the windows for a fraction of the price. It's a good thing I knew better than to drop the $2000 down payment Accurate's salesman requested at the end of his visit, but it is too bad to think other's may fall for their sales pitch. We had previously heard that Accurate was upfront and honest in their dealings with customers, but since they have been bought out, it seems that making the sale has become priority #1.
