All of our closets include a dedicated air supply vent. Fresh, climate controlled, air is continuously being circulated throughout each unit, as well as the entire building. Each unit, as well as each hallway, is lined with raw cedar boards. The wonderful aroma of the cedar fills the air creating a fresh environment each day of the year. All Custom Self Storage units are finished with level four drywall to offer a smooth surface for the painted walls and ceilings. Our competitors, contrarily, have steel partitions with sharp jagged edges. Our solid wood doors are easier to use and are safer than our competitors roll up steel doors. Custom Self Storage units are uniquely available with pre installed ventilated shelving. These shelving racks offer convenient places to hang clothes or stack boxes to make the most efficient use of the space provided. Additional shelving may be requested as well for any special storage needs. Our most popular customer option is the Organized Living Lifetime Shelving, a heavy duty industrial strength shelving system that can handle heavier boxes (up to 150 pounds per linear foot of shelving) than typical systems. This system is adjustable to any height offering convenient flexibility.

I had originally been interested in Stratford Self Storage since it is so close to my house, but when I went in April they were completely booked up. Word of warning if you need a storage unit look in early spring or late fall so that the Wake students don't have a chance to snag every one of them! They have a decent sized loading area out front. The only down side it is sloped on both sides, if you don't park exactly in the middle you have to worry about your cart rolling away. They have about six cart options inside so you can easily find something that works to carry all your belongings in. The manager and front dest staff are friendly and are happy to help. They do lock checks every Monday so if you forget to lock your unit they have you covered. They are located behind the Total Wine and More and IFC Chefsmart.

I called and stopped in a few times to find the best option, and the manager, Victoria, took such good care of me. She answered all my questions and presented me with several different options to fit my needs. She also spent extra time with me on the "move in" day and helped me move my stuff from one unit to another. The location is slightly hidden behind Carrabba's and Total Wine. There is a deep slope leading to the entrance. When I asked why such a slope, she told me it was to ensure there was no flooding. She explained it well, I just don't understand landscaping. The hallways are always clean, no funny odors, and I feel safe keeping my stuff there long term with the climate controlled units.
