I got a few quotes Yelp of the three quotes On 3 Moving was the most reasonable. I followed up on it and they confirmed the rate and emailed it and paid a deposit. They followed up with calls and text to let me know the two guys would be there soon and they showed up on time. They unloaded the trailer with my furniture quickly and without incidents and followed direction. AJ from there was there the whole way on the move and kept in touch. Made a stressful move that much more stressful. We scheduled an interstate move to Maryland with this company as they are one of few in the area that will do a move outside of NC. They communicated often between the original quote and signing the contract. The team loading our home were good. They were somewhat organized and arrived on time. This was the last positive moment thereafter. They were scheduled to arrive on a Sunday afternoon but after waiting a few hours at our new home, we couldn't reach the movers. Someone finally called us back and let us know they hit traffic but we had to pay the extra hours for hired help. The vanity desk I had was completely destroyed without apology (and the insurance has yet to pay out anything six weeks later), our boxes were moved into our garage instead of our home and they didn't want to put together our beds (as contracted). It was horrible customer service. When I called to ask about the issues, we were given a lot of excuses and the runaround. Now that I know I'll have to replace my vanity on my own, I can say unequivocally that I do NOT recommend this company. They don't value your items or your time! read more

We used On 3 Moving this past Monday to transport furniture and other heavy items from storage in High Point to our new apartment in Chapel Hill. The movers we worked with were Cedric Webster (I believe he is the owner or one of the owners) and Sam. They were very prompt and efficient, nice and eager to help, and they moved us at an affordable price. We got quotes from various moving companies in the Triad and On 3 Moving could not be beat. Cedric and Sam showed up on time at the origin in High Point. They quickly and safely loaded everything into a rented U-Haul truck and drove straight to our apartment in Chapel Hill. Cedric is originally from High Point and is familiar with the Triangle area so he knew exactly where to go. Cedric drove the truck and Sam drove separately in a sedan. This was my first experience with movers who did not have a company truck. When they were done with the move, they left the U-Haul truck at our apartment complex (for the truck rental company to retrieve) and left together in the sedan. I think this cost savings is passed on to the customer. When we called around for estimates, On 3 Moving had by far the best price. The hourly rate they quoted us for two movers was only $80/hour. The next best rate was $120/hour. They quoted us $100 for the truck, wrapping materials, and dolly and another $80 for mileage over 50 miles. If you contact them for an estimate, see if they have any discounts. For example, they offer student discounts. We didn't have a whole lot of furniture since we were moving into a two-bedroom apartment so the entire move, including travel time from High Point to Chapel Hill, took less than four hours. The move went faster than anticipated and as a result, we paid less than expected. That was nice. Take care of your movers and remember to tip them. The loading in High Point was a relatively easy job, but the unloading and moving in Chapel Hill was more difficult because Cedric and Sam had to climb a few floors and carefully navigate narrow stairways to get to our apartment (no elevator, unfortunately). We certainly could not do this move without their muscle and professional help. Some of the pieces we had were heavy, sturdy, classic desks and sofas from High Point furniture companies; not flimsy, cheap "disposable" furniture from IKEA or Target. These are not easy pieces to move and they did a great job with them. They definitely worked up a sweat, especially with one of the desks (it was no joke). Not only did they carry all this very heavy furniture up several flights of stairs, but they maneuvered them through tight doorways. It was like figuring out a jigsaw puzzle. Our dining room table was too big to fit through the front door so they had to disassemble it to get it inside the apartment. They then reassembled it once inside. We appreciated all that they did. During the booking process for my move, I inventoried my items (equivalent to a 1-bedroom apt) to be moved with Ajani. Ajani told me that I did not have a lot of items and that my move should take no longer than 3 hours. On the day of my move, the movers arrived 45 minutes late. I had to contact them to find out where they were. 3 men arrived. One of the men, Chris, was agitated and upset. He clearly did not want to be working. From that point, I primarily only saw two men moving my items. The two men were initially working expediently, however, once we reached the 2-hour mark it seemed that they slowed down. One of the movers was a bit inexperienced and had to be directed on what to do and how to do it. Towards the end of the job Chris disappeared (approx 90-120 mins) and left the 2 guys to complete the job. They implied that this was his normal behavior. After the 2 remaining movers completed the job, hours later, my credit card was immediately charged for double the estimated job price. I was NOT provided with a final bill outlining an itemized list of expenses less the deposit paid. I was sent a QuickBooks invoice for a balance double the price of the initial quote. Also, the movers removed my Peloton screen from my bike, and left the screen on the floor at my old residence. Chris told them to do this and said the screen was too fragile to move- crazy! I had to make the movers go back to the old residence to retrieve the screen and also found two pieces to my temper pedic bed which they also left in at the old apartment. At one point we started helping them move boxes because I knew I was being charged by the hour and felt they were milking the job. After calling to complain I spoke with Ajani a few times who apologized for the service and said that "operations" was willing to offer me $125 credit towards my final bill which is unacceptable. This credit was to compensate me for Chris' work stoppage, our observing the movers on their phones, and another time seeing them taking a break. Any break would have been fine as long as I was not being charged. Ajani said that Chris was only there as the driver. This makes no sense! Chris was working and then stopped. He was to provide me with the final bill and didn't, but he immediately called "operations" to charge my card once the 2 movers finished. Ajani also said that Chris was one of the team leaders. As I re-read a review on Yelp, Chris is referenced as an operations manager. You get the sense that a game is being run on you and one probably is. If I had not just done a long-distance move 2 years ago with FlatRate Moving (they provided 3 movers) from New York to NC I wouldn't know what to expect. I had a 2-bedroom apartment and moved into a 2-bedroom apartment in NC. FlatRate moved my items out of the NY apartment in 2 hours. And the local NC crew moved my items into my NC apartment in 2 hours. The total job only took 4 hours!! Overall, this company is not professional and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I grew up in the military, have moved personally many times as an adult & have professionally handled business move-ins & trade-show shipping & setups. Admittedly I have high standards - and I'm happy to report the crew at On 3 met those standards & as people gave a great, non-stressful experience. Chris & Verse (sorry if I get the spelling wrong) were the onsite movers and I believe Cedric, AJ were the folks on the phone. Phone office people were able to accommodate me last minute for an unplanned move of stuff from my apt to a local storage. Chris & Verse arrived well w/in the target window. Brought masks and wore them when inside. Assessed the space & got a rhythm going quickly (it's a bit of a walk w/ the truck unable to be seen from my apt door to the parking lot). They were friendly, personable had a great work ethic & good problem solving. I saw the inside of the truck before we left for the storage facility - it was neat, packed safely, roped down. I had zero worries about my things arriving safely. Also. My move to date had been fairly stressful and they were calm, responsive & really made what can be a chore into a decent experience. I gave 1 star since movers were on time at 10:30 and the team lead managed to keep his upbeat positive attitude through this whole nightmare. 99% of the problems were due to management. I had to move my 2 bedroom with an office townhome into storage. They did an online quote, and AJ asked me over the phone to give a detailed inventory?? I then confirmed at least 3 times that they would do the packing and bring supplies. The week before they confirmed, and I said I'm pretty sure they'd need more than 20 boxes, they asked how many so I said 50-60, maybe 70 since I'm not a mover and don't know. They showed up with 15! Of course they had to leave for 1.5 hours (which I paid for) to get more supplies. At 8 pm Chris the other owner/manager showed up and spent the next 2 hours berating and yelling at the team when he supposedly was there to help. He came in at 9 and said they had to stop now even though they hadn't moved everything out yet, I could take it up with AJ the next day. They didn't finish unloading till after midnight, and I was already charged before I even got home for the whole move. Oh the last 1%? The guys broke my wardrobe door, and I have yet to get a reply from my complaint to, you guessed it, the management. The storage unit looks like they threw everything in, little to no protection on most of my items! I went with them since the competition said I'd have to supply my own blankets and these guys said no problem, but I don't think there were any of theirs used in my storage unit (I can see one of mine). I found this company on yelp and thought I would trust to do business with them based on their reviews and also support a minority business. So my husband and I agreed to hire them to move our furniture from storage in Greensboro to our home in High Point and also unload a POD at our home in High Point. Aj and Yani were very persistent with contacting me to sign the contract and pay the deposit to book our date in February so I thought we were all set until the day before our move, Yani called and asked me if I had any flexibility in my move date. I advised no because my date was already scheduled off work and POD was going to be picked up the next day and had to be empty. I asked her if there was a problem and if I needed to be concerned and she said no, they would work it out. That should have been red flag to look for another mover but I instead trusted what she said. My move was scheduled for 2 movers to arrive at the storage building between 10 am the next day. I received a call from one of the movers at 10:25am apologizing for being late and said he would arrive in the next 20 minutes. I let him know ok, I was on the way and would meet them there. When I got there and they had not shown by 11:00am I figured they may be caught in traffic. At 11:15am I called the cell phone back that the mover called me from and he did not answer. I called the main ph# and Aj told me my move had been pushed back to 12:00. At that point I became very angry at the fact that 1)the mover would not answer the call and 2)why would he or Aj/Yani not call me back and let me know. Aj said they had a busy morning and had 3 call outs. I was like but WHY call me and have me drive 30 minutes to meet him when he knew employees had called out and they did not have the courtesy to call me back? He wanted to downplay it like it was no big deal and made a comment about I had a little 3 hour move and it was going to get done today. I told him that was not the point. I had other things scheduled. I work from home and internet provider was coming at 1:00. My move was supposed to be from 10-1. He then started to lie and tell me one of the movers was at the storage facility waiting on the other mover to arrive and I'm like, dude I am sitting here, there is no one here but me. At that point, I was done talking to him and added my husband to the call. He told my husband he misspoke. The mover was not there but in the vicinity and both movers would be there by noon. 12:00 came and still no movers so my husband called back and asked AJ to have a manager call us back. We received a call back from Chris who said he was the operations manager. He informed us our move had to be cancelled because they were not able to make it that day and he was going to refund our deposit plus extra $75.00 for the inconvenience for a total of $225.00 and give us the ph# to same day movers. Long story short, it cost us way more than $75 to find movers at the last minute, at this point it was already after 1:00PM and Chris told us a bold face lie. The refund was for the deposit amount only, no extra $75. Moral of this story, these guys cannot be trusted. No they have no control over folks showing up to work but they could have been honest from the beginning. They were very unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anybody and will make sure I tell EVERYBODY that is moving to stay away from these jokers! read more

Do not use. Showed up 1.5 hours later than scheduled and movers were high on marijuana. Unable to follow simple commands. See below for timeline of our day: Move scheduled for 10 am 10:15: No movers. I called and am told that they will arrive between 10:30 and 11. 10:45: Movers call to say they are on the way to our apartment. I confirmed the address. They say they will be to our apartment in 20 minutes 11:25 (40 minutes later): Still no movers. I called them to ask if they are lost. They say they are 10 minutes away from apartment. 11:30: arrive at apartment complex smelling like weed. My husband told them where to park the truck and they proceeded to pull in front of the wrong building. We ended up not using their services for our move and requested a refund. Very stressful day trying to get a same-day Uhaul rental ourselves. Disappointing. read more

so, while i have some time, i'd like to touch on my experience with 'on 3 moving services' from friday, july 10th. i'm an equal opportunist when it comes to reviews (good or bad), so it's only right to share my own personal experience with this company. background: i found them on groupon, and prior to purchasing, i called the # to verify their availability for my move date. i was told that the time i requested was available and it would be easier to just book with them directly instead of with groupon. he would honor the same rate. they sent me my invoice on 7/1...i paid the deposit. i reached out via text message on 7/9 to confirm we were still on for our 2 pm appointment for the next day. he confirmed, but told me they would be finishing up a move and due to travel time to me, i should expect them between 2-3. me being flexible, i said ok! i text friday to see if they could notify me when the movers were about 45 minutes away and i would then leave to meet them. THIS IS WHEN MY INTERACTION GOES LEFT. i text that at 1:30 pm...at 2:30 pm (because based on the 1st quoted time, i should've heard from them) I had to call them to see if they would do that and he proceeded to say yes they could but it was going to be around 4. i say ok. 4:08 - i text them asking for a time check response: pushed out to 5 pm. My experience with On Three Moving was awful! They were suppose to come on a Saturday. I cleaned out all my food in the fridge and packed up my non perishables and was prepared for them coming at 10 a.m. They did not call me to tell me they would be late so I had to call them as they had not gotten here yet. He told me there was some issue with the truck that they would be here and he would let me know when they were coming. Close to 1 p.m. I called and no answer. I messaged also. Finally, he calls me back and changes to another day, not the day that was best for me but for them and I only have two days to be out the day they came. They dropped my son's laptop. Several times I heard glass so I do not know yet if any of my glass things were broken. It ended up the storage was not quit big enough, it was late at night and they refused to take what I could not get into storage back to my house. They left me in the lobby with my stuff and no help. The next day I saw cushions and containers of peanut butter laying outside the storage. I thought who would do that? I did not realize for two or three days that it was my stuff laying there full of ants now and I had to throw it away. Cushions to my couch! Because they did not show up Saturday as planned, I had to go buy more food to eat till that Tuesday as I'd thrown mine away thinking they would come on Saturday. There was a problem with th truck but Cedric worked diligently to get the resolved, As soon as Cedric and his partner started loading the furniture into the truck a heavy rainstorm started. The continued to work in the rain and they were super fast and efficient. Finished much sooner than I anticipated. Items moved to storage unit and they were equally fast and efficient there.
