If you don't care…read moreabout getting the right tux, go here because you will be met at the door with a crotchety man who seems like he hates his job and life in general. For my senior prom, I went here to get my tuxedo and I wanted it to be perfect. To ensure I got everything right, I asked Mr.Zemo if I could try on a couple different jackets and shirts. Every single time I asked for a new one, he groaned and acted like it was so physically taxing to take a jacket off the rack. Isn't that your job? Why should you make the customer feel badly for wanting to try on other options? At one point he even said to me, "the faster you try on the jacket the faster you get out of my store". Dude, I understand acting a bit offensive as part of a gag, but Mr.Zemo continuously crossed the line as it got to a point where I genuinely felt like he didn't want my business. I kept my composure throughout the entire experience which was hard because he was getting on my nerves, and I made sure I was respectful, but I was just interrupted with "WHAT?" Or some other bitterness. The quality of the tux itself was good, aside from some broken buttons on the shirt sleeve. In my opinion, I just regret giving this business my money because Mr. Zemo does NOT deserve it. Go to someone who is kind and willing to help rather than an old man who complains at every given opportunity.

I sent over a quick photo of myself in my current dress jacket and collared shirt, without a tie, and was transferred to David. I explained the situation, he sent me a photograph of options, I selected one, and he arranged delivery on his way home. By 5:45, I was wearing a smart Eton tie and everyone was pleased. That kind of responsiveness, judgment, and service says a great deal about Richard Mitchell and the whole team. When I get a picture from the photographer, Jaime, I'll send it along. We have been loyal Macy's customers for years, and I'm not exaggerating when I say we have spent…read morethousands of dollars here on clothing, perfumes, and jewelry. We have always been happy with our purchases, which is why this experience was so shocking. Recently, I bought a bracelet and a chain as gifts for my mom. Unfortunately, she didn't really like them, so for the first time ever I needed to make a return. The employee was rude from the beginning. She first said she would "let it go this time," but then suddenly changed her mind and refused to process the return, claiming that the tags "didn't look right." The items were in their original condition, and this explanation made no sense. The items were not very expensive, but that should never determine how a customer is treated. After years of shopping at Macy's and spending thousands of dollars, I expected respect and professional customer service, not hostility and accusations. This experience was extremely disappointing and has seriously changed my opinion of Macy's. I hope management addresses this issue so that other loyal customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

This is my experience at the Returns counter in the Stamford, CT store. The lady at the desk is the…read morerudest person ever to be dealing with any customer. Couple of months ago, I saw her misbehaving and arguing with a customer when he was trying to return an item. At that time I didnt think any CS personnel would behave like this to anyone, rather they would go to the extent of understanding the problem. Then I got a first hand experience yesterday, she was aloof, not engaging and lecturing to the extent of ordering around. All I wanted was to return few items alongwith the tags, but she was venting at how the tag is not at the right place, it should be like this, it should be like that etc. And it was not once, every item she picked, she lectured me over and over and when I said, I know you mentioned it before, she flared and told me she will keep telling it. I really wonder if Macy's is really looking at how its customers are being treated, are they given benefit of the doubt, are they being pleasantly and politely addressed, are their needs considered - there's an intention to help and there's what you want me to do about it attitude - and sadly with this lady, its the later. Stamford store should really name this desk from "Customer Service" to "Customer Up yours" department.

Or they OVER buy on a trend from the 2000's....There's no variety. There's nothing that makes this place worth a visit. Most of the staff is just as uninspiring. They offer a halfhearted greeting when you walk in, but beyond that, they're completely disengaged--mostly standing around with their arms crossed, looking like they'd rather be anywhere else. Which makes sense because they barely make minimum wage, which is concerning considering how much the owner walks away with year after year. I probably wouldn't be inspired to help customers either. It's pretty obvious that the owner of this store couldn't care less about their employees--or their customers, for that matter. Unless you're looking for outdated clothes and indifferent service, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere.
