Cliff notes - run far away!!! Went in as a new patient with bad tooth pain. Office staff were okay. Spent their time chatting to each other. One telling the other her hair was really sticky from getting stuff in it while painting. Gross. Dental assistant was kind & did xrays & scan. Dentist came in, asking what was wrong, so explained my toothache. He replied curtly, "You need a root canal" I was surprised as less than a year ago I'd had a very comprehensive exam & crowns, no cavities or root canals were mentioned. I asked if he could tell that from these xrays. His response was, "no, I don't need xrays I go by the symptoms a patient tells me." What??! I should have ran out from Dr Quackers there & then. Sigh. He then blew air on the tooth & tapped on it. Nothing. So he then says,"your issue is you have a crown there & the surface is too flat." I know it is meant to be bumpy, so kind of made sense to me. He got a drill & was grinding at the tooth for a while, no questions as to if I was okay with that, doing fine? Afterwards I commented that the same tooth on the other side was probably the same as it was also a crown. Dr Quackers response, "well that isn't the issue is it, so we're not going to touch that." Okay then. Then a final sweet goodbye from this gem, "now don't chew on that side of your mouth for 6 months, then come back & see me. We'll see how it is going then." I looked at him wondering if he was serious, he was! He said just learn to push the food over to the other side. 36hrs later & I am chewing on the other side of my mouth! I had a cold drink & no issues. Then had a yogurt though & that caused sharp pain that lasted for about 10 minutes. So now I am left to look for another dentist. This time hopefully not as pretentious, haughty or flat! So there goes a few hundred bucks to Mr Quackers. Beware & be aware!!! read more

I am traveling and broke a crown while in the Lancaster area. When I met with Dr. Friedlander he explained the process to replace it. I told him we were traveling and would only be in the area for two weeks. The staff checked with the lab and they said they were able to have the permanent crown ready in time. Dr. Friedlander removed the broken crown and put the temporary on. The whole process took two hours. I was very satisfied with the service I got and the expertise of the dental staff. read more

I chose this dental office because it's close to my job and had a handful of positive reviews recently. After my experience, I can't help but wonder if those were written by friends or staff. Before my appointment, I called weeks in advance to explain that I'd just had X-rays done at my old dentist office and that my insurance wouldn't cover another set. I followed their instructions to email the X-rays and even confirmed the address twice. When I arrived, they claimed they never received them. I showed them proof and resent them while standing there. They still pushed to take new X-rays, assuring me they'd verify coverage first. They didn't. I later got the bill. During the visit, the dental assistant did not even refer to the new X-rays, using my older ones. from them, he stated that I had plaque below the gumline and recommended a deep cleaning following a standard cleaning. I requested to start with a regular cleaning first, given that I was new to the practice and wanted to establish trust before agreeing to more invasive and costly treatments. Suddenly, he refused to do a regular cleaning and said a deep cleaning was "required." When I mentioned that no other dentist had ever required a deep cleaning first, he insulted my previous providers instead of explaining anything. I then mention that he has not even used the new X-rays. Only then did he start pointing at the new X-rays. This visit felt like a sales pitch, full of bait-and-switch tactics, misleading insurance claims, and pressure to approve unnecessary procedures before basic ones. Nothing American about this place, find a different dentist! everytime I came here in the almost decade, always a different hygenist, different dentist and they could never diagnose what was going on With any teeth issues i had. I was apprehensive at first.... Not really a fan of places in a strip mall type setting.... However this place has exceeded my expectations. Staff have been very pleasant at both appointments, they were accommodating to any needs and were there to listen to issues and explain everything. So far the quality of care has been great and they were all professional and met every need so far. Glad I went with them and would recommend them to others. read more

Cannot trust all of American Dental Solutions. Absolutely horrible office and overall dental company. The first issue was that I called the call center to make appointments and had to wait 2 months for a cleaning and the day of the cleaning I had to leave my business trip early that morning to get to the appointment because I had already waited 2 months. When I got here on Nov 19, I was told this location doesn't do cleanings as of September. I was never told this even though I made my appointment end of August through the call center and they never told me that my appointment was cancelled. Then they rescheduled me coincidentally a few days later at the lititz location. I couldn't get an appointment for TWO MONTHS and all of a sudden they had an opening at the lititz location 4 days later? I get there and the cleaning is fine but their imaging system went down so the dentist couldn't take x-rays. I already waited long enough for a simple cleaning and they wanted to reschedule me another day for imaging. How unprofessional. Do you not have any technology that works? Now I also have had a wisdom tooth surgery that I had to schedule two months prior and only on a Thursday which is the only day the surgeon can come in. I told them multiple times I have to work in NYC on Wednesday and Thursday so I need this appointment reconfirmed multiple times especially after what happened with my cleaning appointment. I get to the appointment, had already taken the day off, and the lights were out. No generators were working or the breaker. Once again this incredibly unprofessional establishment has technology that does not work. While we were asked to wait, it seemed like all the employees decided to party and play games loudly instead of figuring out how to fix the light issue. Someone had came out to reschedule everyone, she was incredibly rude when I told her and another patient told her we were rescheduled many times. I asked to talk to a manager and she rudely said she is the manager and then She then tried to make excuses that last week another doctors wife went in labor to make the situation light that this is just Mother Nature. That doesn't help at all, it doesn't help that your locations have the worst equipped technology and have screwed patients over many times. This is the most unorganized , unprofessional, and disgraceful dental office I have ever been to. read more

I will give a 5 when all my work is finished . So far very friendly, professional and do great work . Had top teeth pulled and screws put in for screw in teeth in 3 months . I have a temporary denture plate that they fitted 2 times at no extra charge. Surgeon was great at the Lancaster office i healed up quick and with minimum pain . Once I get my screw in teeth in a couple months I will give a 5 star review if things keep going this good . I also paid cash and they signed me up for discounts whice saved me thousands of dollars . read more

I have been with American dental for a couple of years now. I am so please with how this company has met all my needs. If I call for an appointment I don't have to wait long to be seen. I am most pleased at how I've treated as a patient. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I get extremely nervous at the dentist but they always talked to me and calmed my nerves. Dr Kapa is the BEST dentist I've ever been to. He has so much patience. I'd also especially like to thank the front office staff, yahaira and another young lady I forgot her name. But they are the first people I see when I arrive and the last when I leave and they are so friendly and warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend American dental solutions 100% read more

We recently moved back to the area and, as a first time patient, I was impressed with the initial visit. My x-rays, cleaning and exam went off like clockwork. I felt both the hygienist and doctor were quite knowledgeable and informative but not overbearing. My prior dentist that was always proposing additional services. That wasn't the case here. Great place! They work late so they are able to fit me in when I need them. They're super friendly and funny. My whole family goes - everything from braces to deep cleaning and then some. They do a good job and explain everything to you as they go along, so you're never left wondering what's going on or why they're recommending things. I love this office, the staff is very friendly and helpful. That being said, I have to give a poor review due to them constantly changing the office hours. I chose this location for my orthodontist because it was close to work and they had evening hours. I generally work until 5pm. In August, I was scheduled at 7:30pm and got a call asking me to reschedule because the office was closing at 7pm. In October, I was scheduled at 6 and got a call to reschedule because the office was closing at 6pm. I had to find coverage for myself so I could leave work for my daytime appointment because there was no available evening appointments until November. The office doesn't open until 9:30am when I am already working so that leaves a very small slot of time between 5pm-6pm that I can schedule an appointment. I am very frustrated with this. Had I known they would be changing the office hours, I would have looked for a different orthodontist. read more

I have yet to be greated with a smile from the hygienist at the Lilys Pennsylvania office. The secretary is extremely nice and friendly and always pleasant. i've worked with several different hygienist and my experience has all been the same, they get an attitude when I asked a question concerning a procedure or the necessity of diagnostics.
