Brunch menu selections are limited but they have other options for lunch too. Had french toast and shrimp and grits. Both were delicious! French toast wasn't too sweet, which I really liked since I usually don't order french toast with concern it may be too sweet like dessert. Portions were also pretty big! Service was also very fast and friendly. Waiter came to check on us frequently and was very prompt in getting us our food and drinks. Would love to go back for some tea!

While I know many come for the food, I personally make the 25-minute drive for one thing: the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. Or at least, I used to. Lately, it seems like something has changed in the process. The cheesecake hasn't been setting properly, and the cream cheese isn't fully blended into the sweet potato, leaving noticeable chunks. The flavor, once rich and decadent, has also diminished, making me question if it's still worth the trip. That said, I've heard the rest of the food is still solid, so if you're craving Southern comfort food, it may still be worth checking out. But for me, unless the cheesecake returns to its former glory, I might have to sit this one out.

They promptly went to demonically threaten another unsuspecting couple at the bar who mentioned it to the bartender and they just motioned a yeah, annoying hand gesture and went back to raking those sweet tips. I thought to tell my waitresses incase they came back in or were a regular since they seem to know ppl and harassing every weekend. I asked who I should talk to if it ever happens again since there's no bouncer. Her first reply was " Well, they weren't my table". The hell is wrong with you ppl??! We enjoyed our meals, and were surprised when the manager decided not to charge my husband for his meal because his meat was not quite as rear as it should have been. Talk of service above and beyond. The interior was warm and welcoming on this cold windy day, giving us a feeling of hearth and stone warmth. The experience was great and heart warming. The food and drink prices were pretty reasonable. Food quality is pretty average for bar food. You know how it is. Nothing of the extreme spectrum of gross or amazing, just right in the middle. I have a receipt from three years ago because I wanted to remember certain drinks that was ordered. Well... The Irish car bombs for instance has not increased in price: $7.50. I can't believe some of their prices haven't changed in years. But their drink selection has all sort of types and prices. They needed to clean the booth, so we waited, but when we were taken to our seats, one side of the booth still had cocktail stirrers on the seat. (Likely 4 smaller people would have been able to squeeze into that booth, but knowing we had 3 larger adults in our party of 5, I asked if we could move to a table.) Moving to the open table required a manager's override. Very thankfully, a waiter asked if we'd been helped, when he noticed us standing near the hostess stand, and explained that a manager needed to make the change to a table with chairs. (The hostess did not explain that to us.) The waitress at our table was polite to us and provided excellent service, but it was clear she was trying to rush us along. I ordered the almond encrusted trout, which was okay, but the mashed sweet potatoes were served cold. (Maybe it was wrong of me to assume they would be served warm, as I have had sweet potato salad at a Korean restaurant that was served cold, but seeing that my husband's mashed potatoes were steaming hot, it was another disappointment.). When we told them that we were there for my husband's birthday, they did comp us the cost of a dessert and put a lit candle in the desert for us. However, the overall experience and food were just okay, not great, as we had hoped.

Pricing overall is steep for lunch, $17 for the sloppy joe and $24 for the French dip. I also added two THC cocktails at $24, so we're talking a $75 lunch. Also a little odd, the receipt states if you leave without signing it they'll add a 20% service charge on top. Wasn't expecting that. Food-wise it was fine. The French dip has a strong smoky flavor which was a different take on it. The sloppy joe lived up to its name, extremely sloppy. Overall it was an okay lunch, nothing spectacular for the price point.
