I was so hurt, the service was okay I guess, we had ordered 4 Phillys and 2 orders of wings and 1 gyro. They took way too damn long, like more than 40 minutes, but we were patient. But besides that everything was super salty, like overly salty, fries were ugly and dry and sad like fried in old oil, the wings were overly seasoned, they gave us lemon pepper with a side of wings if you know what I mean instead of lemon pepper wings. We couldn't even eat the wings because of how much seasoning there was. They also need to invest in A/C

I have to keep it a buck, good wings are extremely rare. All of the chains like Buffalo Wild Wings…read moreand Wingstop put out horrible food these days and there isn't much effort that goes into the wings at spots like that. But Flava Wings? Yup, they definitely have a repeat customer in me. First off, one of the easiest ways to get 5 stars out of me is to be CONSISTENTLY good. There are some restaurants I go to strictly for the experience, but quick takeout spots like Flava Wings need to be tried a few times before I feel comfortable leaving a review. I can't speak to the only slightly above favorable reviews (I typically won't try a place ranked lower than 4 stars unless someone I trust recommends it), but I can only speak from my experience. The caveat is that I have never physically been to the restaurant, so my review is based only on the quality of deliveries. For what it's worth, I hear it's in a gas station. There are a couple wing flavors that I'm pretty much addicted to and must order every time I order: the "Ooooweee Sticky & Wet" and the plain, extra crispy. The Sticky and Wet sauce remind me of a tangier version of Chicago mild sauce (if you know, you know). Their wings are full of flavor and always come fresh, hot, and presentable. What I like most is that the wings are on the bigger side but not so big that they look like they're on steroids. They have a nice crispy snap when you bite into them and the texture is always perfect. Another standout menu item is their Cajun corn and the apple pie egg rolls (just try it). The crinkle fries are also good, and I like the seasoning they use on them. They make for a good pairing with the wings. They also offer standard dipping sauces like ranch and bleu cheese. Flava Wingz is definitely a place I'd love to get a catering order from to feed a bunch of people. Everyone I have introduced this place to loves it and is also a repeat customer. I may try actually going in to see what the establishment is like, but honestly, unless I see Master Splinter from Ninja Turtles cooking my food, I will continue to indulge. If you like wings that are fried to perfection, consistently tasty, and well seasoned, give them a shot.

Big Horn BBQ has become one of our family's go to spots when we're craving BBQ. My 15 year old son…read moreis definitely a carnivore, and his favorite thing to order is the pound of brisket as his meal. He is completely in love with it! He also has Type 1 Diabetes, so having the option to order just meat is actually a huge plus for us. He doesn't always love having to dose insulin for every meal, so being able to get something like a pound of brisket with little to no carbs gives him an option where he can just enjoy his food without having to think as much about his insulin. It may seem like a small thing, but having those choices makes a big difference. My girls usually get the chicken tender meals, and even the kids portions are huge. There is almost always enough left over to take home, which is always a bonus. My husband and I usually share the three meat meal. The turkey is honestly the highlight for both of us. It is really good and probably our favorite meat they offer. We usually get the ribs and brisket with it as well, and everything is pretty solid. I wouldn't say it's competition style BBQ, but for a local restaurant, it's definitely good BBQ and a place we enjoy coming back to. The portions are generous, the food is consistent, and it's a restaurant that works well for our whole family. The sides are also really good and there are plenty of options to choose from. The desserts are probably the one area that didn't stand out as much for me. I tried the bread pudding, and it was just not my favorite. The flavor and texture were a little different than what I expected. That being said, the BBQ itself is what keeps us coming back. Overall, Big Horn BBQ is a great spot with good food, big portions, and options that make it easy for everyone in our family to find something they enjoy. The service is fast and it feels like a cowboys restaurant with all the animals on the walls!

They have good BBQ, but for me the BBQ brisket baked potato is the best. I get it every time, and it's always satisfying especially with the bbq sauce. The baked potato for me is so large that you can easily share it or eat from it twice. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese, yams, and corn casserole. The yams had good flavor, but some pieces had a slimy, mushy texture. The mac and cheese was pretty standard, while the corn casserole tasted almost like bread pudding with corn, which may be delicious if that's your thing. Since this was my first time dining inside, I noticed they had a large array of desserts and coffee options that I'll most definitely be returning to try. The inside of the restaurant is massive, decorated, and spacious enough to accommodate both small and large parties. The customer service could have been better. It's usually great when I order through the drive thru window, so it was disappointing that the service inside wasn't the same.
