American Deli is under new management as of 2021. The service isn't quite the same. Whomever answered the phone wasn't very nice. The wings aren't as crispy as they used to be and the cooks didn't have masks on when I went a few months ago. We used to love the previous owners so this was disappointing to us. Stopped by here spontaneously while in the area. Nice simple small place, hard working people out to make a living. Tiny eating area with one table broken and marked off as unusable. The place is clean and modern and the bathrooms are clean. The TV blaring to my right above my head was too loud. I wanted a tuna salad, but they had no tuna. So I went with fish and Cole slaw. The fish was delicious, no complaints there. The Cole slaw as ok. I'm not a big Cole slaw person, but it was decent. I wanted coffee to drink, but they didn't offer coffee. My friend had a chef salad or something similar, they didn't have but a few simple basic dressings, none of which are homemade. All little generic packets. I was literally calling every American deli in Atlanta to see if they have one in TX or if they can deliver So when I found this it was heaven on earth. It's an hour away from me but I don't care! A solid 4. This is one of those places that sell wings, fried rice, philly Cheesteak, fries and I believe shrimp. Not the best one I've been to but I found the prices to be very reasonable. The cheesteak was good, wings pretty good, fries really good and it came with a drink for under 12 dollars. I found them polite and fast. If I was in area I'd go back but wouldn't make a trip for it. read more

The Chinese lady is rude as hell. Also, I ordered 15 wings and could only get two flavors, which made no sense to me... Nor do they allow the option for all flats. I would have been fine with paying an upcharge, but obviously pinching pennies is more important than satisfying the customer here. read more

Owner is real rude. Have been coming here on in off since I'm from Atlanta and love the chain. But this owner at this particular location always has something smart to say. I order here on average 3-4 times a week. I ordered the other night and by the time I finished with the customer the store was closed. So I come in today and the owner says hey you ordered last night and never showed up you need to call if you can't make it. I said I apologize I got caught up with a customer. "Yeah you need to call, I had to throw food away" ok I understand but you should understand things happen. She just shook her head. I definently won't be spending my money at this location anymore there is a wing spot 2 doors down. Probably where they get all there customers from. read more

I am very bias but a very truthful review. I'm from Georgia but moved here from ny and the first spot I was looking for here in dallas was American deli. This location definitely didn't disappoint at all! The wings are delicious, Philly cheesesteak is amazing both chicken and steak. The fish is delicious and looks and tastes like it is fried to order and the people there are nice. You can also call an order ahead of time and for the most part they are usually done around the time that they have told me. My only problem is the rice, I never knew they offered it but decided to try it one day and that is a big NO. read more

This is a great cheesesteak and wing location. Been working this area of town almost two years and hadn't tried it. Cheesesteak was very good, wings were great. I have the Spicy Chili. Good size portions, quick service, hot and fresh food. They need to keep the tables clean though read more

I recently visited this establishment. I ordered the wings and my daughter ordered the shrimp plate and they were both delicious. So far my experience has been great but I do wish there were more options and the prices were a little less but it was worth the cost. read more

Ok I might have different review then others here's why. I work around the area so it's easy for me to stroll over there instead of McDonald that's in Walmart or Walmart dirty deli food. This food is ten times better. There food is basic American dishes that you've tasted anywhere probably but some times it's good to get back to the basics. If your consistent sometimes basic can be good when other fast good places don't even meet up to basic. I had the burger which was good. The meat was juicy and flavor was simple. It was cooked to order to hot and fresh unlike McDonalds sitting in some food warmer. The toppings look fresh to. The fries are crinkle but I like crinkle fries some people don't. I had the Philly steak cheese which was really good. It was fresh and hot and full with flavor. They gave me some free sample wings I believe it was lemon and pepper. I was surprised for min I don't know if it's right to say that there better then wing stop. May I'll do a review on the wings later when I actually order them. They were good though. I met the owner and she's happy to be here in Dallas as the business in established in Georgia. Like I said I work around the area a lot these restaurants can't get it right or just be inconsistent. After getting a flyer on the window while in Sam's Club, decided to try this place. Had been craving some good fish and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and fast for a good size order of four plates. The fish was cooked well and flaky with spot on seasoning. The burger look juicy and huge, but I craved fish. Will go back and try other items and when the craving for fish is back. read more
