Do not hesitate. Do not be concerned. Do not be sad one you've realized how much fun this is. Go to American Axes in Atlanta and have-a-blast. I went there with my 14 year old daughter and we had oh so much fun throwing axes. The staff there could not have been more friendly or helpful. While we we more of the family-oriented guests, I bet being there with a bunch of adults would have been NUTS! There were a couple of after work peeps who showed up and they were having the times of their lives. I have to look to see if there's a franchise up in Maryland because I'd go there in a heartbeat. Seriously, don't let the sound of the idea of throwing axes keep you from going. It's good clean fun and something you'll come back to do again and again.

We had an amazing time for our team building event at 'The Works' location. We learned how to throw axes & knives and then had some friendly competition with games. It was so much fun and was the best team outing ever - and was a great stress reliever too!! I will definitely be coming back in addition to having their mobile unit come to on-site events. Thanks so much to Dan & Wes for making everything run so perfectly, from booking to event day. I would like to give a special shout out to Wrigley, the world's cutest mascot, it was love at first sight.

We walked by, as we spontaneously explored The Works. Best decision of the day! Staff was super courteous, gave us a detailed tutorial on "how to throw an " and let us loose in Zion! Super fun and happy to know I'll survive the apocalypse...

Great place to have a company event. Dan Fisher is just the best. We have done 2 events this year and we absolutely love it and will do more events as needed. Jan Vaccaro Beyond The Curb Landsaping

Located in between fox brothers and dr scofllaw, is American Axes atlanta location where you can practice your axe throwing skills! I went with a group of girls and it was so much fun we each paid about $28 each. Free parking is all around at the Works! The less people who you go with the more practice you can get so keep that in mind, i felt like three girls was a good group to do! Its hard at first but Marley was such a great teacher that we all had not only so much fun but also all got it in the wall! Thank you Marley for your great instructions! We also ordered scofllaw from right next door and it got delivered straight to us which was awesome!

I've been here twice and it was soooooo much fun both times! I'm not an athletic person (AT ALL!) but even I have hit the bullseye a few times! If I can do it, you can do it! One thing that surprised me about throwing axes is it's a great stress reliever as well! I only rent a bay for one hour if it's just two of us taking turns with the axes. Any longer than that would be too long for me. One hour is just enough time for two people. The staff here is friendly and fun to work with as well.

Had an amazing birthday at American Axes with friends. Our axepert Abby was amazing!!! She gave us great instructions on how to throw, cheered us on and offered suggestions and encouragement along the way and kept the fun going the whole time all while ensuring we had everything we need. If you're going to have two lanes than then the private room is a steal and is totally worth it! Loved having the private space away from the crowd on a Saturday night. We're already talking about going again!

I'm actually pretty good at it! Make a reservation on line, come on in at your time, they will give you a tutorial, and then some practice time. It is all in the wrist... and then start your games. It is like a big game of darts. I have yet to get beat where I have not let someone win. (Date, my sons, and so on) The prices are not cheap but it is a lot of fun! They have wine, beer, soda, chips and light food... so don't come hungry... eat before you get here. It is Well worth the experience and if you're like me... you'll come back for more.

The venue is spartan, but nice enough, and the staff are friendly and helpful! We truly enjoyed ourselves for our first time axe throwing. I want to mention that while we had made a reservation for six, we were unable to bring 2 of our people with us. I did not ask for a refund on the other two people. I suppose I could have. However, as this was a birthday event, and I wanted things to go smoothly and easily, I didn't bother. Also, the reservation that I made was for a single lane with the 2 axe throwing targets. When we arrived, there wasn't anyone else there. I'm not sure if it was just because there was no one there, or if they were just being nice in general, but they allowed us to use 2 lanes with 4 axe throwing targets and that made it even more fun! They brought out popcorn for everyone and had a fridge-bar with some canned drinks and snacks. I really didn't take any pictures, but I definitely intend to come back. So, next time; I promise. I did take a video of my sister and her friend losing the Jenga game! Enjoy!

My group of 14 had an absolute blast axe throwing -- we were laughing, cheering, and getting surprisingly competitive! Our instructor (whose name I sadly forgot!) was awesome -- full of energy, super patient with all of us first-timers, and made sure we were safe while still having tons of fun. His tips really helped us get the hang of it quickly! Beyond axe throwing, there are plenty of other fun games to enjoy -- giant Jenga, Connect Four, darts, and even an arcade game or two. Plus, there's a cute little bar area where you can grab a drink and snacks and hang out between turns. Highly recommend checking this place out -- I'll definitely be back! **deducted a star due to no convenient parking **
