The planes hold about 30-40 passengers and are smaller than standard flights. It was a very comfortable flight and easy on and off. We've flown JSX many times, but our last flight was a disaster caused entirely by their own staff…read more The check-in agent never asked for our dog's paperwork, never checked if we had a carrier, and never updated the manifest correctly -- even though we always select "service animal" when booking. Because of his mistake, the flight attendant who seemed already irritated, spoke over us, refused to listen, and demanded we shove a puppy under the seat in a designer handbag -- not even a safe carrier. Instead of reviewing our documents, she escalated immediately to the captain and supervisor, who removed us from the plane without explanation or apology. Other passengers were shocked at how poorly it was handled. To make it worse, the same check-in agent then tried to cover himself by falsely claiming we were removed because I "swore at the pilot," which is simply not true. We were removed because JSX mishandled the entire situation from start to finish and refused to take our paperwork. This was an avoidable mess created by untrained staff and made worse by rude, dismissive behavior. Extremely disappointed -- JSX needs serious retraining before calling itself a premium airline.

Security at Islip is Fast, the Frontier counter is very friendly as long as you are not asking for free upgrades or free stuff that you should have paid for and the whole team was efficient. I last flew from Islip to Atlanta in December, 2025 and had trouble with my paperwork for my service dog. Queen Everett who is a Frontier employee was kind, helpful and gave me great customer service to clear up the problem and get me, my daughter and my service dog on the plane. However- in Key West, the staff member who checks bags also assists with boarding therefore they shut the bag check in 1 hour before departure leaving the check bag area completely unmanned and nobody else seems to know where they are or why they aren't there. And they decided to depart 15 minutes early so they shut the bag check in down even earlier. Also- they have no people to speak with in customer service. You can only text or message on their app. I repeat; they do not have anyone to verbally speak with to resolve issues.

GOOD WHERE IT COUNTS…read more Virgin Atlantic doesn't participate in TSA Pre. So even if you have a Known Traveler Number (KTN), you're stuck going through the regular security line - which at JFK can be insane. The check-in and seat selection process seems broken. One agent said you could (should) go online a day in advance, and so did an automated text alert. But the site didn't work, and provided an incorrect error message. A different rep explained that actually it wasn't available. But the planes are in good shape, staff is friendly, and ticket prices reasonable.

Awful company, had a horrible experience at JetBlue and their executive officers did nothing which…read moreshould tell you something about their brand. First off, my wife and I traveled to Clearwater, FL in November 2018 and our flight was an hour or two late there which is normal nowadays. We enjoyed Clearwater but I got sick at the end of the trip and had to be hospitalized due to high ammonia levels which was a first for me. As soon as I got out of the hospital, we needed to fly back. Our flight was delayed for over 12 hours which made me very uncomfortable. They gave everyone on the flight a voucher for $250 to try their airlines again. Not really worth it and I was upset but my wife and I let it go. We ended up using the $500 credit and another several hundred of our own money on a flight to Chicago during the Summer in 2019. We should have known better, the whole experience was a TOTAL disaster. We experienced several delays, clueless customer service representatives (tried to put us on a 4:30 pm connecting flight) and the flight was exceedingly long as they kept us circling in the air above our destination. This made my wife extremely sick (she is a type 1 diabetic). She said something about it to the crew and was ignored. When she got off the plane she went to the nearest lavatory and threw up excessively. What really made me upset was no one at JetBlue was willing to help us out AT ALL! I called and tried to see if executive offices would remedy this and they responded by telling me to go to hell.

The next plane, an older Airbus, forced gate check for carry ons, no in seat entertainment or charging and while reliable, just not top notch travel accommodations. But we got there safely and on time, coming and going. That's what really counts.

I'm 100% sure I caught it from her because I didn't go anywhere during the weekend since I got back on Friday. If you work in the service industry, there's a simple rule: if you are sick, stay home. Obviously, this airline doesn't care about its passengers. They allowed an ill flight attendant to work a 15-hour flight. What a shame. A week later, I'm still not 100%
