    I had no issue with American Airlines in St Louis. Normally, when people do a review on a business like this, it is to vent or aire a single incident or gripe. American is always my first choice to fly if I have one. The staff here were professional and friendly. They were also knowledgeable and helpful. My flights out of here have always taken off on time and landed a bit early. Even though the majority of my flights have been smooth, It is pretty much out of their control sometimes. The onboard entertainment on their flights are pretty good. Most all of their planes have wifi that will allow you to track your flight, see connecting gate information, listen to music and view live television and movies from your own personal device. Their snacks leave a bit to be desired. They do give you the full can drinks the majority of the time, but they only have those nasty rectangular cookies. Bring back the pretzels and peanuts. On a positive note my flight was a little more than an hour, a couple of times, and they still served snacks. I enjoy flying with American and am sad to see that they have gotten so many negative reviews. Welll over 90% of my experiences with the airline have been positive. But I guess to each their own.

    "Operated by Sky West" on outside of cockpit

    I feel like American Airlines did a bait and switch with Sky West. Pay attention when you're booking a flight. American Airlines has farmed out some of their flights to Sky West. The plane says American Eagle and the cockpit outside it reads "operated by Sky West". The plane is smaller. The experience is notably, novice. Our pilot missed the deboarding platform by 1 foot so we all had to sit back down and seatbelt up again. I could also tell by the rough way we prepared to land. But the most important inconvenience was that once we got to the main terminal, they had us go through a door onto a shuttle to another location where smaller planes are, a makeshift terminal, which added an additional 30 to 45 minutes each way. There were two extensive lines for terminals four and five. Both were the same length to get on the shuttle to the main terminal. When the line in front of me emptied onto the shuttle, the girl in the yellow vest literally pulled the blue strap from the poles right in front of me when I was the only one left standing! I had been there the whole entire time even when the line was long! The chaos was palpable because they don't know what they're doing and when you're tired from a flight, the last thing you wanna do is take a shuttle to the real terminal. The shuttle is literally in traffic against the airplanes on the tarmac. Not only that, but after you get shuttled to the main terminal, you have a 5-10 minute walk to get to passenger pickup! Very disappointing because I have the AA credit card and was choosing American Airlines, not Sky West. The seats seem more cramped and the seatbelts are smaller. No place to pitch your phone for a movie. Not impressed at all.

    Terrible customer service, both in person and over the phone. Fly anyone but American is my recommendation.

    the whole flight got delayed from 10am to 4 pm. so annoying. i almost had to be the pilot myself.

    Had a brief 45 minute layover at STL between 2 Southwest Airlines flights. Both flights took off…read moreand arrived on time, planes were clean, staff were friendly and the flight from STL to LAS wasn't full so I was able to snag a window seat, and the middle seat next to mine remained open so I was able to spread out a bit. The ability to use iMessage and WhatsApp for free once I connected to the in-flight WiFi was a bonus. My primary reason for giving Southwest Airlines only 2 stars is because of this airline's pricing tactics and in my experience, non-existent customer service. I went on Southwest's website and found flights I wanted, only to get an error when I attempted to book and pay. When I immediately tried to re-book just seconds later, the price per ticket for the same itinerary had increased significantly. Southwest customer service was no help when I contacted them, and replied to my messages with seemingly pre-written and "canned" responses that didn't actually address my reason for reaching out.

    Nothing but positive things to say about Southwest. They have been my airline of choice for a while…read morenow. Every time I fly, i always fly with them.. Getting through check in is fast and easy. The gate agents, ticket agents, flight attendants and customer service representatives are always nice and polite. With all the changes they are making, they still seem to be the most affordable.
