We had a horrible experience trying to find a reputable transportation company to transport a 17,000 pound truck from Arizona to Oklahoma that we had just purchased. I signed up on a site to get quotes, did not notice sellers DOT number was still visible, which allowed transport companies to look up dot number and obtain companies name and phone number, transport companies started contacting the seller to arrange pick up, outside of the site I was using to get bids, misleading the seller as if they were the hired transport company. This made the process more stressful, and caused confusion with the seller. Quotes I received on the website ranged from $2600-$3300.00 to transport the truck. Pick up window averaged up to 7 days after transport as booked. Each company that responded, I checked their reviews on BBB/google, their business registration on Secretary of State in the state they were located, and checked the operating status on FMCSA site. I was surprised to see horrible reviews on BBB, and some unprofessional responses from the companies and some brokerages/transport companies had no authorization status on FMCSA I happened to come across Amerifreight on google by accident! I checked BBB (4.8 rating), S.O.S (active/in compliance) and FMCSA (authorized brokerage). I was interested in speaking with them; they had the best history by far on BBB, authority on FMCSA. I called and spoke with Lisa Henderson. She was the most informative agent I spoke with, very upfront about what her company does and what to expect during the process. They only use companies with 4.5 star rating, they vet each company before they are assigned. She reassured me that she would be with me through the entire process, from arranging transport, pick up, and delivery. After I signed up with Amerifreight, with in a couple of hours Lisa had found a transport company, that could pick up the truck the following day (12/6/23) eta arrival 12/7/2023 for $1415.00, requiring a $315 deposit at time of booking, and remainder paid to transport company. Due to shady transport companies bothering the seller, Lisa went a step further and arranged for seller to contact transport company to arrange pick up time to ensure the truck was released to the correct company. After seller made contact with transport company set up pick up time at noon on 12/6/2023. I immediately received an update, the driver reached out and introduced himself. When driver showed up to load the truck he called me to confirm last 6 digits of vin to ensure correct truck was being loaded. I inquired about ETA a couple hours later for following day, attempt to arrange for someone to be at the shop, driver responded promptly eta 1-2pm, would let me know better eta in the morning. First thing the next morning I received an update transport would arrive around 2:00pm, which ended up being the time of arrival. Truck was unloaded quickly, no issues, guy was nice, professional, thorough at the time of drop off. Lisa kept her word and checked in randomly to ensure we had no concerns during transport! I'm very pleased with my experience with Amerifreight and transport company. They worked together, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great!

We shipped our car from Michigan to Washington State using Ameri-Freight. (***We initially signed up with Rapid Auto Shipping about 2 weeks before and their Rep. Ed Hunt assured us that the price would not increase from what he quoted. He gave that assurance several times leading up to our pickup date. On the day the car was to be picked up Rapid Auto Shipping tried to extort another $400 out of us saying there was a problem with the initial carrier.) We then contacted Ameri-Freight, spoke with Robyn, and our car was on the carrier that same day! The price was great and Robyn's communication skills were excellent! She's a true professional in her field. The car arrived on-time (5 days) and it was a great experience! (Especially after all the stress with other brokers that preceded our hiring Ameri-Freight. Thanks Robyn!!!

AmeriFreight found a transporter for my car from coast to coast with only a week and a half notice before my pick-up date. Custumer service was great and I was in contact with one person from start to finish so I never had any question who to email or call with any questions. My car arrived at my front door right on time with no problems at all. I would definatly recommend AmeriFreight to any one looking the transport a vehicle. They will find you the best and most reliable carrier to move your vehicle where ever it needs to go. read more

Amerifreight shipped my car from Maryland to San Diego, CA. They delivered it right on time and even drove the car to my home since they couldn't fit the truck on my street. They communicated often to ensure that everything went well. Decent price. read more

I had a great experience with AmeriFreight. It was my first time shipping a vehicle and I shipped my jeep from Arizona to Washington State. I was pretty nervous but the sales rep Erica Hudson reassured me and was patient with me as I was going back and forth. She explained the process really well and it eased all nerves. She constantly checked on me, and even when she was out of office on the weekend, she had someone cover for her to check in. I had received an offer from a truck carrier that was too pricey, and she negotiated with the driver but ultimately he wasn't willing to lower the price. Thankfully, we waited and she was able to get me another truck carrier who was way cheaper! The drop off and pick up was smooth, and I'm very happy with how everything went. Erica was amazing to work with and she constantly checked in throughout and after the whole shipping process again. I'd definitely ship another vehicle through AmeriFreight! read more

STAY AWAY!! Quoted $975 that became 1300 when they actually booked the carrier - 4 days later. I purchased the AFTA gap coverage insurance via them as well. I took a 6 minute close up video of every inch of the car before it was picked up clearly showing no scratches or dings ..just deep shine. Car came through with a gouge in the front door and scratches on the roof and both sides. AFTA claim denied saying "pictures" provided at time of pickup didn't provide detail. AFT A is NOT a real insurance company..just a scam. Also the drivers are in on the whole thing. He writes car dirty at time of pickup. The car was shining! The problem really is..in my opinion..the whole moving / shipping industry is full of shysters. Good luck finding one but stay away from this outfit! read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY I was trying to ship a car from VA to OR and had to cancel my order with this company because a carrier was not booked within the 7 business day window. I was very disappointed with the lack of communication from these agents. I kept calling during the 7 day window to check in and asked that they call me with updates. I understand that it was a difficult time to ship over the holidays and with winter weather conditions but I would have at least liked a call from them to know they were working on it. I received no communication and zero confidence from them that they could find a carrier. After asking Lecia what she recommended or what she would do in my situation she said she would not ship a car and drive it instead.....again zero confidence in this company. Very frustrated that my time was wasted and I have to rent a car longer until I can get my car shipped. I decided to go with an actual moving company and pay a little more for a guaranteed pick up date. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AMERIFRIEGHT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

Jorge did a good job at setting everything up for us and getting our Yukon on its way to hawaii. I gave him 4 stars because there was a day when we had an issue with the car carrier and my husband and I made a few phone calls and left messages for him to get back to us and it wasn't until 8pm that we heard from him. With that being said, he did get back to us and from that point forward handled every issue that occurred with our car carrier. He was able to make the necessary phone calls for us to make sure our Yukon made it on the ship to hawaii which the car carrier delivered past deadline. Thanks to Jorge, our vehicle will be in hawaii shortly after we arrive. Jorge was excellent with email correspondence. read more

I researched extensively shipping companies to ship my father's truck from Washington State to Virginia. I spoke with Justin who was very knowledgeable and courteous. He answered my various questions and gave me information that I would not have thought to ask for. The truck was shipped within a week of booking and arrived 4 days later in great shape. read more

Lecia from Amerifreight was really easy to work with throughout the shipping process. She called regularly to check up on the status of the car and promptly returned calls. Great customer service overall, but unfortunately my car was assigned to a bad carrier leaving it damaged and dirty upon delivery. Lecia tried to help by contacting the carrier for me in attempt to resolve the situation. I would advise doing a thorough review when selecting the broker/transporter company (in this case Amerifreight) AND the carrier (Topline) when the bid comes in, especially for a long haul across the country. I trusted Amerifreight to use dependable carriers, but in this case my car was not delivered in good condition. Once your car has been picked up by the carrier, the broker company cannot control how the actual shipping will go. read more

Couldn't have been better. After lots of research on many companies we settled on AmeriFreight. I admit to being skeptical of all the companies acting as brokers in this business, but Josh at AmeriFreight was straightforward, helpful, and honest. We had several calls for options that would have gotten the car to Chicago before we wanted it there and when we got an acceptable pickup date I can't believe we could have been any luckier than to get Peter at C2C Transport. Amerifreight delievered on time service at the quoted price and Peter held the car in Chicago for us a couple days (NO CHARGE!) The car was delivered in the same condition it was dropped of in, okay, it needed a car wash, but no damage, extra charges, holding the car ransom for some "additional" charge. After the car was picked up I had no need or reason to contact AmeriFreight other than to tell them we had the car and all was fine. Given my trepidation with this whole process and what felt like a real crapshoot, I couldn't be happier with the service. Do your research, check reviews and BBB ratings. There's a lot beyond the broker's control, but if you don't opt for the hard sell, lowest cost, you've got a fair shot of getting good service. We're glad we chose Amerifreight read more

I thought the carrier (NAO auto) my broker (Lecia at amerifreight) found was fantastic. The driver was very communicative, picked up on scheduled, delivered early and didn't cause any damage to the car. However, I struggled to find a way to communicate effectively with the broker. I was clearly just a number to the brokerage company. I had flexibility in my pick up dates and drop off dates but I may not be so flexible in the future because it seems it made it harder to schedule. The first carrier she found wanted to pick up the car within a few hours. Unfortunately the person who was relinquishing the car had already left for work. That's where the frustrating part of the experience started... After we missed that first carrier, I tried to be clear and communicative on what days and times were available for pick-up within a 10 DAY window (and not overly restrictive...big chunks of time... for example, "all day on Tuesday" or "before 4pm on Wednesday") but apparently that information made it "too hard" to find a driver. I don't understand why the broker asked for my pick up availability if it was going to be such an impediment. I imagine other people who work normal 9-5 jobs have even more restrictions. It would have caused less frustration to just let the broker go out and get bids from carriers without knowing our exact pick-up availability. She didn't find anyone until ~2 weeks later and it wound up being ~$100 more than originally quoted (IL to OR... wound up costing ~$1050). read more

Needed to get my car from California to Massachusetts and had never done anything like this before. I did a small amount of research and AmeriFreight was BBB accredited with good reviews, so I went with them. Despite some initial confusion/mishap with my contracted truck service that was found for me through AmeriFreight, I was still impressed with the open communication, prompt response times, and overall friendliness of the staff. I would use them again and recommend you check them out for your transportation needs. read more

I utilized AmeriFreight to ship two cars from Chicago to LA. I worked with Graham Turner to schedule two separate deliveries. This was my first time shipping any vehicles across country so I quickly learned that AmeriFreight is just a broker for the carriers & AmeriFreight's prices can be negotiated down significantly. My 1st vehicle ended up arriving over 1 week later than the scheduled delivery date which resulted in additional rental car charges for me. When I attempted to contact Graham about the delayed shipment, he never returned my call or emails. Next time, I will work directly with the carriers or utilize another broker firm that will delivery per the agreed upon dates. read more

I must prelude this review with a bit of clarification. First off, it is understood that AmeriFreight is a company which puts users in touch with shippers. They do not personally ship the vehicles, and as such can be seen as an intermediary between the customer and the shipping intricacies. This being said, I believe that the service I received in my experience with them was not acceptable. Because AmeriFreight takes a cut of the shipping cost for their service, I expect them to handle any sort of issue that occurs in the shipping process, and to recruit the finest and most reliable shipping companies for their consumers. Before I go any further, the email request sent to me for a review reads the following: "Please base your reviews on the performance of AmeriFreight only. Although we try to select the best carriers available for your car shipment and we do our very best to assist you throughout the entire car shipment process, it may still happen that a carrier's performance is unacceptable. In these instances, we encourage you to leave a separate review for that carrier." This is not acceptable. I will not fully pardon AmeriFreight for any issues in the shipping process - to do so would be to excuse them from the service that I am ultimately paying for completely - leaving only their ability to respond to emails in the balance. Now on to the review. My vehicle arrived 1/2 a week after the expected delivery, which was picked up with ample time for transportation - 19 days in transit. Because I was pressed to get to work on the following Monday, I was forced into renting a vehicle instead of having my own. Because I am under 25, this was quite expensive in my state due to a young drivers charge. As such, the fallout of my experience shipping the vehicle was an extra $270 in rentals that I should not have had to deal with, as both AmeriFreight and the shipper in question both confirmed that the vehicle would be on time. I was even warned that it could arrive early, and to be ready for an early pick up. It is my opinion that AmeriFreight did nothing to resolve the situation once the vehicle was picked up, and that they did not follow up in a substantial way once the ball was in the shipper's court. In my mind, their job should have continued past this point, giving me updates and keeping me informed. For the premium you pay to have an intermediary like this, I expect more substantial effort on their part to avoid issues, blacklist companies with poor records and keep the customer informed during the entire transportation experience. For those interested, the shipper that was chosen by AmeriFreight was Melan Enterprises Trucking LLC. I certainly would not recommend them either. read more

My only gripe about this company is the first price they give you is not the one you end up paying!!! I paid $700 extra!! It took about two weeks to find a driver for a pickup. But my car did arrive without no damage!! That's a plus. At first the communication with this company was not so good. It took me trying for one week to contact my agent. I finally called the main office to talk to some one about my order. After that contact between us was very good. read more

This was my first time dealing with AmeriFreight. I shipped my Toyota Corolla from Las Vegas to Cleveland, OH. I first learned about them on a USAA moving forum and I figured that if anyone knows about moving, its people in the military. I appreciated that I was paired with one agent throughout the entire process, and he was always attentive and accessible by phone and email. The car carrier was great and once the car got on the carrier, it was across the country in a matter of days. read more

I had just received the 1970 Corvette in good condition that I had Amerifreight broker a enclosed transport for on 7-12-2014. I received the car on 8-31-2014 where 3 weeks of this time were spent trying to find a truck that would pick up my car in West Virginia. Due to the remote location of where my car was, I went from $1700 to $3345 in a effort to attract a transport company into picking up my car and shipping it to Portland Oregon. Amerifreight found a company called BATS Motorsport in my area that was heading near the WV area and said they would pick up the car in a couple of days, what they really meant was a couple of weeks. My car was supposed to be picked up 8-7-2014 and delivered 8-22-2014 but was not. Communication with Amerifreight was good but not so much with BATS. Amerifreight put what pressure they could on the transport but this didn't seem to make much of a difference. BATS did deliver the car over a week late from when it was scheduled to be delivered and they gave me a $200 discount for my inconvenience. This is what I have learned from this experience: (1) Get everything in writing, what the truck driver says is not always the whole truth. (2) Make sure you have the transports itinerary (in writing) for pick ups and deliveries, as this can change as they are adding loads along their route which pushes your car back on the delivery list. (3) Make sure that the transport company you use has GPS tracking so you can keep track of your delivery. (4) Check to see if you can broker your own deal with a transport company as this could save you time and money. Thank you, S Downing read more

Do NOT use this company. I hired AmeriFreight to ship my car across country, and after the truck carrying my car overturned and totaled my vehicle, AmeriFreight refused to return my $325 fee for delivery. I can't imagine a worse customer service experience. read more

Be careful with this broker -- very professional and above-average customer service; however, the actual vehicle transport service was a nightmare. Driver lost both keys to the vehicle, yet only agreed to replace one. The insurance provider pushed by AmeriFreight does not accept phone calls, does not respond to messages left on its website, and the password/log-in details provided to file claims are bogus. Requested multiple log-in credentials and all failed. Driver called at MIDNIGHT to coordinate deliver of the vehicle and threatened to return the vehicle to its original destination if we did not do as he ordered. Do not subject yourself to the catastrophe we had to endure . . . read more

Horrible!!! How this company exists is beyond me! 25 years in the Marine Corps, and have never seen a worse company utilized for the movement of my vehicle. Quoted at $795, ended up paying $1,090. Also told me to give them a 7 day window for pick-up, and of course they never picked up until the final day. Once this company got their broker fee, they never called me about pick up dates, estimated times of pick ups, no heads up.....NOTHING!!! If there was a - rating on here, I would gladly give it to this worthless company!!! read more

We made the biggest mistake by choosing AmeriFreight as our auto shipping company. We chose them after reading the BBB reviews and other online reviews. They first charged us $345 at the time of placing our order to ship our vehicle from Rhode Island to Texas. We placed order on March 4th, 2014, and after waiting multiple weeks without the car being picked up, we finally cancelled the order. We then went with another more reliable car shipping company that picked up the car in 2 days of our request, and delivered it to us in 1 week for the same price as AF. Since we cancelled the order with AmeriFreight on March 20th 2014, we have contacted AmeriFreight by phone and by email at least 20 times regarding our refund and they have responded with blatant lies about our refund check being "in the mail", as well as then being told to wait 30-60 days for our refund. It has been over 90 days since we cancelled our service, and we continue to receive nothing but lies regarding our refund. This is the worst, most unprofessional, unethical organization that we have had the misfortune of ever dealing with. This organization professes to be the best on their website, but is a complete scam by charging their commission upfront after which there is no motivation or customer service on their part to perform the agreed upon service, nonetheless neglecting to refund the money after the service was canceled. Buyer beware, what happened to us is nothing short of being scammed out of $345 of our hard earned money. We do have a list of our correspondence with AmeriFreight from the start, and if they continue to deny our refund, we will be forced to take legal action. read more

Excruciatingly bad! Ordered my car shipping a full 2 months in advance. They were real attentive, answered emails, picked up phone calls, right up to the point where I gave my credit card and placed my order. Then they were silent. Never called when they said I was on their "callback list." Never found me a carrier. Here is a brief summary of their terrible service: 1) Amerifreight changed my agent multiple times. I had to deal with 4 different agents, none of whom ever proved to be helpful: Dustin Himes, then Jorge Cruz, then Jessica Ferris taking over for Jorge when he went on vacation, then Graham Turner. 2) Amerifreight increased my price 4 times: first it was $995, then $1050 when I actually placed my order, then upped to $1200 when I called the week prior to my deadline expressing concern about making my pickup date, then $1300 the following day when I was at my wit's end. Low-balling the quote is playing dirty and increasing it 4 times is outrageous. 3) They never found a carrier, and eventually I had to cancel because I couldn't wait any longer. 4) Did I mention your assigned agent never answer emails or return phone calls after you place your order, and you have to call through their main line to find them or someone else who just happens to be around? read more

When I contacted Ameri Freight about bringing my car from California to Tennessee I spent a lot of time explaining to the Ameri Freight representative, Lecia, the exact circumstances surrounding this car. I told her it must be in an enclosed carrier and that it was a very expensive show car. She told me she would put it on the board for the price we agreed on which was not cheap to say the least. She called me back and said they had a carrier that would do an excellent job and had a 100 out of 100 rating. Maybe it is my fault for making the assumption that she knew this delivery company and had first hand experience with them. I feel certain that she had no knowledge at all about the company or the driver that delivered my car. If she did and these people have a 100 out of 100 rating then the car delivery business is in a pretty sad state. I have listed below all of my complaints. I was led to believe that when the car was picked up I would be notified by the driver. I never heard anything from the driver. The seller in California did call me saying the car had been picked up and even sent me pictures showing it being loaded. I wasn't in a big hurry for the car to arrive so I didn't worry when I still had not heard anything five days later. I had the drivers phone number from where he called me before he ever picked the car up saying he couldn't get hold of the person in California to arrange the pick up. It was because he was calling the wrong phone number. I don't know how this happened because the phone number written on the e-mailed copied I received from Ameri Freight was correct. Any way I decided to shoot the driver a text on the evening of day six which was a Friday. He said he was in Memphis Tennessee and it looked like it would be Monday or Tuesday for the delivery. I told him that would be fine and to just let me know for sure when he knew for sure. When I had not heard any thing back from him late on Tuesday I sent a text asking if he had any updates on the delivery time. His response was "In Memphis now will plan on seeing you either late Wednesday or early Thursday". I don't know what happened to the delivery on Monday or Tuesday or even ask him why he was still in Memphis several days after he said he was leaving Memphis. I wasn't in a hurry so I still wasn't worried about anything. The text I got was on Wednesday at 7:17 p.m. said was "See you tomorrow at 1 is that ok". My exact response was "Yes, I will have to leave work to meet you so as you get closer let me know. I will plan to meet you at 1:00 unless I hear any different". His response was "No problem everybody loves the car by the way. This comment sent a red flag to me. I wondered who was "everybody" and how could they see a car in an enclosed trailer. I sent back this question. Has the car been on the truck the entire time or have you had to load and unload it as you made your way across the country. His response "Hasn't moved since California". The next time I heard from the driver was at 12:07 p.m. on Thursday and he was confirming the address he was suppossed to drop the car off at. I confirmed that the address was correct and since it was 45 minutes before we were supposed to meet I assumed that by him asking this he was close. His reply text was "passing Lebanon Tennessee now so 2.5 hours away. I replied with "I thought we were meeting at 1:00" His reply was "Yes sir moving as fast as we can". This is fine but I wonder when he was going to let me know that the time had been changed from 1:00 to 3:30. The answer is that he wasn't going to. I would have left work and went to the meeting place only to find out then that he was going to be 2 1/2 hours late. The next text I got was at 2:34 saying he was in a traffic jam and would be later than previously stated. The next time I heard from him was at 3:40 and his question was "If you don't mind me asking how much did this car cost?" I asked why and he said "I figured it was very expensive build probably one of the sharpest restorations I have seen in all my years of moving these cars" I told him that yes it was a very high quality build. He said I was very impressed with the quality of the finish. Remember this comment for later when I tell you how he handled this quality of finish that he was so impressed with. He finally got close to the meeting place and sent me a text that said "It's a red and black Peterbilt". Now I was really concerned because the carrier it left California was a white trailer. I didn't say anything I just figured I would find out was was up when we met for the drop off. He gets to the drop off and this guy can't speak one word of English. Yelp is limiting me to 5,000 characters in this review and I have 6,597. If you want the remainder of the story e-mail me at ssrhall@aol.com and I will be glad to share it. read more

Amerifreight is a company who will strive to get 5star ratings. But it deserves none. You will be lucky if your car gets delivered in good condition and in that case they will take all the positive credits. However if the car gets damaged, expect least help from them. I transported my car from Minneapolis to Phoenix through Amerifreight in Feb 2015. I also purchased total protection plan through Josh Contreas of Amerifreight by paying additional premium so that it will cover the damages to my car during transportation. My car was delivered to me with damages on the rear which I even noted in the delivery bill of lading. I got 2 quotes from collision shops and gave it to Josh. However the whole team is least willing to help me get the amount of my claim. They will talk all good before the move but will retract from their words as soon as you pay them the money. STAY AWAY from this company. read more

Ok lets star by saying this , they are not a deliver company they are just brokers meaning they will find you another company who will deliver your car, .. ok here my experience with this company i choose this one because of their rating on google and consumer affair, ok i did my quote online they get me a quote of $985 to deliver my car from NY to Nevada i thought it was a good price so next day i get a call from Harris David so he told me the details and tell me it gonna cost me $1095 still a good price so ok i sign the contract via email and everything its set , the next day i get an email saying they found a carrier so i call and i spoke to a girl she told me the driver will charge 1150$ to deliver my car i say ok lets do it then she tells me i have to make a deposit but she was lost on how much the deposit was so she tells me she was gonna call me back, i send an email to Harris David asking about how much the deposit will be and this is the day i am still waiting a response, ok then i remember the email he sent to me when i did the contract so i made the payment through Paypal, then i call and they never answer so since hours are different i thought maybe they were closed so i wait till the next day and called them another girl pick up the phone and i explained her what happen and i told her i made a payment via Paypal she didn't now that they had Paypal and they didn't get my payment so i wait 4 hours till they found it and they didn't even know how to see if someone made a payment , ok the driver couldn't accept because they took long to put me on the list , when i spoke to Harris i told him theres only 3 days that they could pick up the car, he told me no problem when the girl told me they had one for Friday i told her what i told Harris so she ask me to pay $480 dollar because its priority a thing that Harris didn't told me i told her no and explain to her ok on Monday i call them to ask them why they didn't pick up the car if the girl told me that they were gonna pick it up on Sunday so she try to put Harris on the phone and theres was a lot of excuses that he was at lunch called you back in 30 min hours passing call back he was in a meeting last thing i did i wait for him for like 35 min, and when finally he pick up the phone he was very rude and telling me another story when they find a carrier they charged $1521 double the initial price i was mad already and i just want my car so the next day they found a carrier and send me the info and everything and they never called me back or send me an email about the progress of the deliver on my car , they only care about the deposit and that is so please try to find a direct company not a broker you will save a lot of money . My car was picked up on 3/22/2016 and I did not receive it until 4/5/2016 at 8:45pm and I had to WALK in the dark in Oakland, CA to meet the driver. I was told it would onlly take 5 to 7 days to get my car. It was over a week and Amerifreight nor the driver was willing to reduce the amount charged for my car being over 1 week late. The car carrier was ECG Auto Transport out of Miami, Florida. I called them as well and asked for a reduced amount, they flat out said absolutely not. The car was picked up 5 days later than the last part of the range I was given and it ended up costing $500 more than I was quoted. I found the company only responsive when they had "good news" for me that the car was actually being picked up. During the time I was in limbo, it was difficult to get ahold of them or they offered me little information and were very unapologetic. read more

Worst broker service ever! We went with amerifreight due to the good reviews. 4 weeks later no one has picked up our bid. We tried to be proactive and called them each week to check as we really needed the car for work. Same excuse each time: no one likes to drive that route. Finally when we gave them an ultimatum. Within 2 hours they all of a sudden were able to find a driver but it would cost us 50% more than our initial bid. We cancelled that day. These guys are so unprofessional, lacked communication and couldn't care less if your car gets a bid. Needless to say we went with another company (Direct Express Auto Transport) and our bid was picked up within 4 days and delivered 4 days after that. read more

I read many horror stories about people who have had their cars transported - so I was very skeptical. I also hd a very short window of time to get my car picked up. I called AmeriFreight - and spoke with Graham - within 30 minutes, he had a truck that would be able to pick up my car within the time frame I needed. He promised he would be with me every step of the way - and he was. As someone who never had done something like this (and someone who read bad reviews from nearly every other company I was considering) - I had a ton of questions...but he answered them all and didn't make me feel wrong for asking them. My car was actually early - and in perfect condition. The truck driver was also very nice. If you're on the fence about which trucking company to use - I would recommend you give AmeriFreight a chance and ask for Graham. I am receiving nothing for writing this review - and I also rarely ever take time to write these. read more

Can probably find a better shipping broker. My original agent was fired and it took me calling the main number to convince them to begin working my vehicle shipment again. At least 5 days elapsed with no contact from the company. Even though their "fine print" spells it out, you shouldn't bank on their initial estimate to be anywhere close to what it actually will cost to ship your vehicle. Add a couple hundred dollars, and that's what it'll ultimately cost. Overall, just didn't get the sense they were concerned with me...only getting paid. Their on-phone customer service was good...and they always answered the phone after my first experience - even after hours. Ultimately met, but did not exceed, my expectations. read more

One of the worst experiences Ive had in a long time. The vehicle arrived with an extra 170 miles from when it departed. DMV inspection certificate to prove it, with the same date as the pick up date. There was cigarette ash everywhere and it smelled completely of smoke, even found a cigarette on the floor. The interior was trashed as well. The car now has a horrible rubber burning smell when it drives and the torque converter is likely shot since the carrier had the center differential locked for some unknown reason. The carrier was also using another customers vehicle for personal use. He claimed it was his cousins but later found it wasn't his cousins. He charged at me when I told him that I had spoken with current owners and that he was lying. After the police arrived he admitted that it was not his cousins vehicle and that it was a customers. He traveled 15 miles(30 total) to pick me up in the car, as well as well as back an forth to the hotel they were staying at. They were using e-cigarettes in the vehicle as well. My car was almost missing 40% of the full tank that it had when it was first picked up. AmeriFreight did nothing, shipping company refused to do anything, the driver made threats and tried to force payment and signature. Oh yeah, and the battery was dead. 2014 Toyota 4Runner Limited. read more

I had no experience shipping a car across the country, but Ali Jones was a great help. She was very forthright in regards to the way the process works as well as the costs associated with shipping. You do need to read the fine print, because Amerifreight is a broker that puts out bids that the actual trucking company's accept based upon the fee. Ali was upfront with me about all costs and the final cost came in about where she said it would and I was not surprised. Overall, a positive experience for me. read more

Service was ok. I know I cannot base Amerifreight services on the carrier but since I had no choice on the carrier that I got then who is to blame. I payed Amerifreight to find me a carrier. I would think that they would find me a reliable one not just any one that would take the offer they were selling. Which by the way the original rate was not what I payed at the end anyway. So in the in the sense that they found me a carrier, yes they did their job. That's all I can take from that. We're they responsive. Not really. The rep stated he would call me when he found me a carrier. I guess I expected him to give me an update before or on the day that I wanted the car delivered. Instead I called him the next day, to find he maybe found a carrier but he wanted more money from me. To make the long story short, I guess I am one of the few who was not wowed by their services. read more

My experience with AmeriFreight started off well. I explained my situation: my car broke down mid-road trip to grad school and needed to be shipped from the garage in a two-day window (Th/F), just over a week later. I was quoted a price, and I spoke with Ali when I called back to confirm later that day. She said she'd honor the quote, and explained the process: when they found a driver, they would contact me for confirmation, then charge a $300 deductible. I felt like I was in good hands and relieved that my car situation was finally being resolved. But then things went downhill. I hadn't heard anything, and called back a few days before the intended pick up date to see if any progress had been made; no bids on the job, but I was assured this was normal and it would be more likely to be picked up when the job status was "active." Then I woke up to a receipt for a $345 charge. I gave AmeriFreight a call, but the employee I spoke with said he couldn't help and asked me to call Ali when she got into the office. I called back just after her shift began, and after introducing myself and explaining my confusion, Ali asked who was the agent handling my case. Frustrated, I said I thought she was. To her credit, she refunded the extra $45, but when I asked about pick up dates, she said it was for the Monday following the Thurs/Fri when I needed the car picked up, outside of my clearly communicated deadline. At that point, it was too late to arrange pick up with another company. Ali did call to confirm that I received my car, which was nice. Bottom line, yes, my car arrived in one piece. The driver was very responsive and responsible - really, the best part of everything. But Ali and I seemed to have some communication problems that made my experience extremely frustrating. I will not be using them again and suggest you save yourself the headache. Disclosure: I received a $50 discount to write a review. read more

Amerifreight first offered low rates then waited until the day before the desired delivery date to tell me no one has picked up the order. They said they were "trying" and repeatedly offered "better" responses if I paid a higher premium for service. After several days of no responses, I made arrangements to have the vehicle driven to a major city to get better responses from autotransporters. I took off work and rescheduled plans for the weekend, but the car was not delivered by the contract date. Several phone calls and emails to Amerifreight resulted in responses of "we're trying to reach the truck driver". The car arrived late on the next work day and I had to take more time off of work to pick up my car. Although I paid a premium to have my car delivered on time, Amerifreight said that they cannot control the driver and things happen beyond their control. In this case the driver selected by Amerifreight was stopped at a Highway Patrol weigh station and held there for 30+ hours because he had been driving excessive hours. When I requested a reduction in charges because the vehicle was not delivered on time and did not meet the terms of the contract, Amerifreight said that the driver will not release the my car until the full premium amount was paid in cash. I am severely disappointed that Amerifreight would not work with me to reduce the costs when I paid a premium for expedited delivery and had to repeatedly change plans to adjust for late delivery. It took 2 weeks from the time I contacted Amerifreight to the time my car was delivered, Texas to California. read more

I have shipped a few vehicles on behalf of my company in the past and have always had issues with my previous experience with other brokers and carriers. I considered flying one of our employees to drive this vehicle from one location to another and then flying them back but I decided to give it one more chance and chose AmeriFreight. I am glad I did. I finally found a company I can rely on. AmeriFreight moved our vehicle without incident. Although they are a broker that then connects you with a carrier, they (Ali Miller) stayed involved from beginning to end to ensure a high quality of customer service. She proactively called me throughout the process to check on how things were going. There was an initial small delay in picking up the vehicle but she was proactive in getting that resolved within an hour. This exceeded my expectations and I will use them again without hesitation. read more

the only reason they give you the lowest price is because they will never ship it for that amount they will make you wait for 2 weeks and then start giving you higher prices plus they will just forget about you and you have to keep calling them to check about it. i just wasted 2 weeks waiting on them worst idea ever read more

I was really apprehensive about the whole car mover thing, and I was still kind of skeptical even while making the reservations. But, I have to say that AmeriFreight was great! My car moving price came in below the upper estimate dollar rate, and my car even arrived early! My car was a little dirty because of the snowstorms, but otherwise, in perfect condition. I was really impressed with how friendly & professional every single person was, that I dealt with. I would definitely use AmeriFreight again!! read more

I researched online, as I always do first when entering new territory. As a result, I then called AmeriFreight. Lecia assisted me in understanding what would be involved in shipping my car to my Mom in Maine, who needed a car within the next couple weeks. Lecia answered questions honestly about what would be involved, and I was confident in dealing with AmeriFreight. We confirmed some things by email and finished setting things up for her to search for a truck to transport my car. Lecia called me about a day later and had located a driver, but I was not able to get my car to the pickup location that soon. Lecia understood that and said she would keep looking for the next opportunity. Lecia called me again in a couple more days just to keep in touch and confirm she was still looking for a driver for us. Things had changed some at my end, and I told her there was a chance I wouldn't be shipping my car after all if we ended up buying a car for my Mom from someplace nearby to her. I told Lecia maybe she should put my request on hold until we figured things out. Lecia was very understanding and said to let her know when I wanted to reactivate my request. After several days, we determined my car was still going to be the best way of meeting their needs, so I called Lecia, and she picked up right where we left off and began looking again. The very next evening, on behalf of Lecia, George from AmeriFreight, called me with an offer to ship my car the next morning. The pickup and dropoff locations I had given for each end of the shipment would involve some travel for us but I had figured these would be fairly easy to access with a large truck and trailer. George told me right away that the driver's fee was a little more than their initial estimate of shipping costs, so I needed to decide if I wanted to do it or not. I considered the increase and asked if we could negotiate any closer delivery points to the pickup and dropoff locations I had originally chosen. I said I would be willing to pay the extra amount if the driver would pick up my car very close to my home and also deliver right to my Mom's home in Maine, since their current car had gotten very untrustworthy, even for short distances. This would save them and me together, almost 60 miles of driving to meet the truck, plus another driver and vehicle to get each of us to or from those locations. George called the driver, made our offer, and the driver agreed. We had a deal, I signed the contract and sent a scanned copy to George by email, and he provided the contact number of the driver so we could communicate directly as needed. The driver, DR Transport, called me and we arranged for pickup right from my home the next morning by 11AM and delivery right to my Mom's home sometime the following day. WOW. DR Transport's driver and an assistant came at 11am, took pictures and filled out a form noting some minor paint damage on my car (at 15 years old, with over 200,000 miles, it was in good shape for its years, but it wasn't "mint condition") and then they loaded it up on a single vehicle trailer. It was getting individual service all the way to Maine! I rested easy and was confident that AmeriFreight had done their homework and DR Transport would take good care of things. The driver and assistant were super nice guys and comfortable to deal with. They delivered the car to my Mom's home the next day, almost exactly when they had expected to arrive. The car was unloaded and inspected by both parties, payment was made, forms signed and provided to my Mom, and the whole process was finished. I admit that my greatest concerns had to do with letting a car I've trusted for so long be put in the hands of total strangers and go off down the highway. But honestly, by dealing with AmeriFreight, my concerns were alleviated and I rested easy about it. They handled my private information responsibly, put in time searching (TWICE,) located a responsible driver, informed me of everything I would need to do, cautioned me about things I shouldn't do, and didn't just disappear once I had paid my deposit and shipped my car, instead following up after the fact to make sure all was well. And to think, I was seriously thinking of driving all the way to Maine myself and then flying home. I would have lost a few days time and work, probably some sleep, and added another 900 miles on the car, not to mention leaving some family and home responsibilities to others to others during my absence. I give AmeriFreight and DR Transport A+ marks and if I have to ship again, I'll just call AmeriFreight, have them check with DR Transport first, and then just relax and then let them set it up for me. This was WAY easier than I would have thought read more

Ok, So the first thing you need to know is how this business works. There are truckers throughout the US who make regular runs. Depending on how busy they are and the location of your vehicle, THAT ...and only that is what sets your price. There are a ton of brokers who post the opportunity (your request for pickup and delivery). The truckers all scan the same posts and then choose the cars they pickup based on the price you are willing to pay and if it fits their route. One day a truck might go cross country for $1,200, the next week if the same trucker is busy, it might cost you $1,800. The brokers have absolutely no say on what the truckers will take. It is 100% the decision of the trucker. Brokers who offer less prices are just trying to get you locked in and then up the price. If by the unlikely chance there is a truck who is willing to take their lower price, then you possibly would get that rate. That's a dice throw and you don't want to end up with a guy in a pickup truck with a shoddy car trailer hauling your late model luxury car. If not, you will wait as long as it takes for you to get a legit truck to take your offer, or, as they all do, the broker will call you back after a few days and tell you that you have to pay more. So what makes Sam at AmeriFreight better than everyone else?..because she is an honest woman who gave it to me straight from the start. I had plenty of time with this car, so we initially posted the offer relatively cheap. Sam was completely honest with me on how we might get lucky but if we didn't get a quality taker on the price within a few days, we may have to up our offer. Sam was awesome with her communication and was willing to discuss options at any time. After 4 days, we decided to raise our offer slightly. Mind you, she could have come back with a higher number than we ultimately offered and guaranteed her comission but instead she was looking out for my best interest and upped it a little at a time. So after a week we put out a slightly higher number and got a taker within a few days. Mind you, everything is flexible when you are trying to get the best price, so unless you want to pay top dollar, which will pretty much get you your car EXACTLY when you want it, then you have to be flexible. They picked up the car the next day and said the trip from Fresno CA to CT would be around 7 days. Turns out the car was picked up by a local hauler who brought it to Southern CA for the long haul truckers. It sat there for a few days but then a wonderful guy named Steve and his wife picked it up. The dispatcher co-ordinated the pickup and Steve and I talked two days before delivery to schedule an exact pickup location and time. The car ended up taking around 10 days from the initial Fresno, CA pickup point Fairfield, CT drop off, but having good communication made the whole thing go like clockwork. My suggestion is to save yourself a lot of headaches and go with the AmeriFreight company. Be sure to ask for Sam and her team. Tell them you read this review and want the straight story. Then take their advice when they give it to you. FYI, they don't take their commission until your car is scheduled for pickup! Most of the negative reviews in this business are because of the hustle the brokers give you and you always feel like you are being lied to and upsold. This was a great experience. Last, Don't believe any reviews you read other than on Yelp. All of the others are untruthful paid reviews that the companies put up themselves. Check the difference between their reviews and Yelp's and you'll find the truth. And don't pay attention to the cry baby's who don't understand this business and complain about things they didn't ask about or clarify on their own. Jon read more

We moved from Utah to New Hampshire for employment. I was certain that I was not going to drive my family and cars across the country given that I only had a short window between terminating one job and beginning the next. I sought out all methods of having our two cars transported to New Hampshire. Doing web searches, talking with friends and colleagues, I quickly became discouraged. There was no guidance and it seemed that many companies turned out to be frauds. I read that companies were paying to have positive reviews posted, others were fakes and some simply outsourced the job to un-knowledgeable third parties. I became so distraught that I looked into rail transport and other means. However, none of these were available to our destination. I began making calls and receiving quotes from many companies online. I finally stumbled on AmeriFreight via the BBB. I sent them an email and actually received a call from a PERSON, Graham. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He helped me understand the process of auto transport and clearly explained his role in the process. He made no false promises and I felt that I was speaking to a real, honest person. That, along with the reviews I read, made me contract with AmeriFreight. Graham clearly explained to me the different options for shipping my cars: covered or not, closer pick-up times and protection/insurance options. He worked with me on my tight moving schedule and we agreed on a pick-up window. Well in advance to that window, he found me Green Way LLC Transport, who agreed to move our two cars. I have a small SUV and a passenger car. Green Way was on the spot in communication and professionalism. All along the way, Graham from AmeriFreight kept in touch and ensured that my communication and interaction with Green Way was on target. The day prior to pick up, we actually had to change the pick up location by 30 miles. There was no problem in contacting AmeriFreight and Green Way short notice and they agreed to meet us at a new location. The pick up went smooth, professional and was right on time. Along the transport, we kept in touch with the carrier and with AmeriFreight. No issues. Our cars arrived right on the day promised. We actually were not able to pick up the cars on the delivery day and AmeriFreight and the carrier arranged for our cars to be stored for two more days. For pick-up, we were again accommodated beyond the call of duty, having the storage person come out and meet us to hand over our cars two hours after their closing time. In summary, I am simply amazed by the professionalism, honesty and overall accomplishment of AmeriFreight, and Graham specifically. Our cars were dealt with perfectly, we were accommodated beyond the call of duty and there were absolutely no surprises or issues. There was no damage to the cars, delivery was on time, communication was honest and professional. We were always aware where the cars were, could always get with touch with AmeriFreight and the Carrier, and had absolute peace of mind while our cars were under way. Price was very reasonable and right on par with other quotes. Our final price even included two days of storage after arrival on location. I highly recommend AmeriFreight and only wish it would have been easier to find our about them in the first place. I hope that my review will help convince you of using them for your transport needs. I would be happy to answer any questions. read more

AmeriFreight was recommended by a friend who had good luck with them. This was not my case. They put me in contact with Aztrans, my carrier, and the whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. AmeriFreight first tried to tell me that the cost of my shipment would be $100 more than the quote that I received online -- something that my friend also experienced. However, after haggling with them (which I would have preferred NOT to do) they agreed to honor the online quote. Regarding shipping, I was originally told that the car would be picked up on a particular date. However, last minute, that date was moved several days earlier. This wasn't horrible, but it was inconvenient. Then the real problems began. I repeatedly told AmeriFeright that I would not arrive at my destination until later that month. They told me that the carrier would keep my car at their lot and that all I had to do was PAY for a cab to go pick it up. I thought this service was supposed to be easy? Door-to-door? Why should I take the time and pay the additional money to pickup my car 15 miles away? Thus, AmeriFreight agreed that the car could be kept at the carrier's lot ("for free" they said, trying to make me feel privileged) until my date of arrival. Unfortunately, the day I arrived at my destination, I soon found that one of the Aztrans drivers was keeping my car at his HOUSE and that the keys to my car were IN his house. This meant that I could not pickup my car even if I wanted to pay for a cab. Further, the driver was out of town for the week and I would therefore not be able to receive my car until his return. Managing without a car for a week meant that I had several additional expenses which I now had to pay for out of pocket. Both AmeriFreight and Aztrans refused any sort of discount given the late delivery, unprofessional treatment, and additional out of pocket expenses. Finally, after filling up my car with gas for the first time since receiving it, I noticed that the gas flap releasing mechanism was broken (the metal inside was bent, was being used to keep the flap attached to the car, and additional pieces of metal inside the flab were broken off entirely). Since I didn't fill up WITHIN 48 hrs of receiving the car, the insurance coverage that I purchased through AmeriFreight is totally worthless. Overall, a bad experience. I would not do it again. Unprofessional all around. Try your luck elsewhere. read more

In the past five years, I've had cars shipped from the East Coast to the West Coast, and from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California. I never had a very bad experience but a few times there were inconvenient delays without good reason, some surly customer service, and none of the service providers ever stood out a being notably superior to the others. When it came time to select a transport company to ship my car across country to my mother, I wanted to be certain I hired a company with a great reputation for delivering upon promises, providing outstanding customer servie and support, and charging reasonable rates with no hidden fees. After a few research sessions, a few conversations with various providers, and soliciting a handful of quotes, I settled upon AmeriFreight, a company with which I had not worked before. From my initial electronic communications and phone calls with Jessica Ferris, I knew I had made the best choice. She is the consummate professional, direct and honest, and always quite courteous. The quote she sent me was accurate and honored throughout. No hidden or surprise charges here. Throughout the whole experience, she called or wrote to update me and check in on me, connected me with the local driver who was also very courteous, and she ensured things revolved around my schedule, not theirs. Jessica and AmeriFreight knew how important this particular shipment was to me because it is a gift for my mother and I wanted it to arrive on time in exactly the condition I shipped it, and equally important I wanted anyone who contacted my Mom to be polite, helpful, and kind. Jessica ensured all those goals were met. My Mom told me this morning that the car arrived exactly as the driver promised and he was very nice to her. I had sent my Mom over a dozen photos of the car taken the day it was picked up, and she said it's in exactly the same condition. The first estimate I got from Jessica was it will be picked up on either May 6 or 7 and arrive 10 days later. It was picked up on May 6 and arrived on May 10. Jessica sent me a note, too, to let me know it had arrived and to ask if everything was okay. Yes, Jessica, it certainly is! Next time I need to ship a car, and every time after that, I will hire AmeriFreight again and that is due in large part to Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, in all sincerity for taking care of something very important to me. YOU ARE TRULY WONDERFUL!!! read more

I needed to ship my 2015 Honda CR-V from Virginia to California by Jan 6, 2016. In the beginning of Nov 2015, Graham gave me an estimated quote of $830. I found this price was much lower than other auto-shipping company, so I paid the deposit $290 and they started to find the driver for me. Until the middle of December, I still haven't heard anything from Graham and I began to worry if they really could get me a driver before Jan 6, 2016. So I called Graham and he promoised that I would be his top priority. He indeed fulfilled his promise and found a driver for me (CAA transport) within one week after I called him. The driver asked $950 for delivery fee, so now the total cost would be $290 + $950 = $1240, which was much higher than the original estimation ($830) from Graham. I was not sure if this "price suddently jumped" was normal in this business or I was being tricked. Frankly speaking, the price of $1240 actually lied in the range from the quote of other auot-shipping companies ($1200 ~ $1300), so I did not see what kind of advantage I would gain if I kept going with AmeriFreight. However, I was in a hurry to get the car shipped so I still accepted their offer. The pick up date was set to be Dec 25, 2015 and they said the car would arrive in California before Jan 6, 2016. However, I told them in the beginning the car had to be delivered after Jan 6, 2016. Otherwise, I could not get my car in person (my flight was Jan 6, 2016). Fortunately, they checked with CAA transport and CAA transport agreed to hold my car and wait for my arival. The CAA transport did deliver my car on time on Jan 7th, 2016 and finally I felt relieved after getting my car. To conclude, I think AmeriFreight did get the job done in time. However, I do have the following suggestions for them. 1. Avoid "the final price suddently jumping so high compared to the original quote" 2. Pay more attention to the customer's requests in the beginning. Do not let the customer to remind you. 3. Keep interacting with the early-booked customers with emails or phone calls to let them know you did not forget them, especially when the pick up date is approaching. I look forward to seeing AmeriFreight becoming a 5-star rating company and shine in the future! read more

TL, DR: AmeriFreight is awesome, and I will use them forever. So here's the thing: I ship cars that I really care about cross-country every three years. I'm not a collector, nor a dealer, nor a broker. I'm a US Army Soldier with a wife and teenaged daughters. Every two-to-three years, my duty station changes, and we have to get our small fleet of vehicles from one state to another. So I have a lot of experience with car shippers, but, unlike a business that does it professionally, I care passionately about the cars I load on the truck. They're not for some buyer at the destination, they are _my_ cars, and I want them to arrive quickly and in great condition, because I and my family will be driving them. They're like old friends to us. AmeriFreight is, hands-down, the best and most professional car shipper I have retained. Their paperwork is simple and self-explanatory, their prices are reasonable, and they do exactly what they say they will do: move your car quickly and safely from origin to destination. What I really, really love about them, though, and what has made me a customer for life, is their ability to communicate with the customer. AmeriFreight kept me informed at every stage of the transaction. Their e-mails arrived promptly, they kept to their communication schedule (if they told me they'd get back to me the next day, they got back to me the next day), they made sure I knew who I was talking to and why when my case was referred from one employee to another, and, miracle of miracles, when I called them, a real human being answered the phone, demonstrated familiarity with my shipment, and ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. The driver showed up at exactly the right spot, bang on time, and treated my car with respect and care as he unloaded it from the truck. He was scrupulous about the post-shipping inspection, and gave me a receipt without prompting. The entire process went smoothly, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. The next time I ship one of my cars (and there certainly will be a next time, alas), I'm calling AmeriFreight. They're offering me a $50.00 discount to post this review, but I would've done it anyway. With customer service this good, they deserve to prosper. read more

You know how broker's talk your ear off and promise you the world when all you want is a reasonable estimate and whether they will be a good match for your service need? Then I'd recommend calling Sinclair at Amerifreight. I called this company because they were toward the top of the list for long distance car transport. I had the luck of Sinclair picking up when I called. He was friendly and indormative but not overtly so, like those saccharine brokers who coddle you and are sunshine and roses but walk away before the ink has even dried on the contract. We had to ship two cars, but on seperate dates. I explained my situation to him about how the date for shipping my car was flexible but the other vehicle had to be guaranteed on a certain day. He was quick to understand the situation and explained the process from start to finish and once I understood the process, we worked out an arrangement that suited my cars needs and requirements and also took a huge weight off my shoulders. Sinclair went above and beyond to find me the best driver and accommodations I required. After updating me on an offer, I declined and he was intuitive enough to know not to reach out if the offer was not close to my price range. Since we are moving, time is 9f the essence and he did not waste any by calling unnecessarily, and went the extra mile to explain my situation to the driver so they would accommodate my pickup time and date and also got the driver to agree to a lower price. All of this was taken care of and all I had to do was eaign a few documents and have a couple pleasant phone callswith Sinclair. Once he obtained a a reputable driver, she texted me instantly and took things from there. My car arrived on time and in great condition. Sinclair called me occasionally to give me updates on the status of my vehicle, which was very much appreciated,. He calmed me down the first time we spoke and I'm a bit of a control freak so for me to put my trust.in him to handle 95% of the situation, is no easy feat. He was always reassuring when I had questions or concerns. I wish I found him earlier so I didn't have to deal with the stress of pre shipping jitters. Thanks for everything Sinclair, truly. read more

Thank you Jordan, Thank you AmeriFrieght! First, incentive or not to post a review doesn't mean the review has to positive, just honest. I am honestly happy and satisfied with my entire experience working with AmeriFrieght. I had anxiety just thinking about the logistics of getting my car from California to Connecticut. My car is very important to me as it is with most folks. I started surfing the net and became overwhelmed with all the companies that transport vehicles. I asked people I knew to try and get "word of mouth" referrals. Got a few with low BBB ratings. Back to the net. Called around and got some quotes. Some were too low (made me nervous, as it should), some too high. Time was running out for my dead line for my transportation needs. Studied theTransport Review site one last time and decided to call Jordan. Very pleasant to work with. So glad I trust my "gut"! A+ BBB rating. Any negative review was handled. Price was fair. All questions answered. Jordan was very patient, professional and courteous. The gentleman who drove the truck was very nice and professional. Needless to say it was smooth sailing or should I say rolling all the way... They did everything they said they would. The timing, the tracking, the constant communication. I am very happy that I can recommend a good solid transport co. to others. That they will be able to rest assured as I was. read more

We started the car transport process back in May with another company. My dad wanted my son to have my mom's 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. Dad lived in Pennsylvania, we are in Arizona. Being 82 years young, my dad wanted an honest company who stood behind their work, was on time, and showed up when they said they would show. With that said, we contracted with a company to move the car in June. The car was ready June 23, 2014. The business we first contracted with prided itself for its quick turnover (1-7 days, not the industy standard of 7-14 days). I was thrilled. Our quote was affordable (but as I later learned not competitive), so our car sat. Trying to call the company was fruitless; lots of left messages on answering machines. A total lack of communication and how the car transport business works. Totally unprofessional. My father became increasingly frustrated as well waiting on a driver to pick up the car. So with that, I called another company. They were vey nice, and they explained the car transport system to me. It was refreshing. I decided to network through the BBB (Better Business Bureau). AmeriFreight was right up there on their recommended companies. Right from the start, Ali Miller explained the entire process, apologized for other companies nasty business practices, and told me what I needed to do to have AmeriFreight move my vehicle. She posted my quote, got an interested driver (Thanks BEST and Hector!!), coordinated the car move, and kept me posted on every aspect of that move. I knew when the vehicle would be picked up, what my dad needed to do, and when the car might be delivered. Ali helped me contact the driver and the company, and it all ended up great. The car took 6 days to travel from Pennsylvania to Arizona. The driver Hector could not have been nicer to my dad and I. If you want a great experience with a company who care about how they did and what you thought, give AmeriFreight a call. Thank you, thank you Ali Miller. Our family is so very appreciative. read more

My parents moved back to the US from overseas and they needed their vehicle shipped from western NY to Texas. I have never transported a vehicle before and know absolutely nothing about how the industry works. I, like everyone else, submitted a request to a couple sites and was inundated with quotes, phone calls, and texts that ranged from $600 to $3,000. Without knowing much, I jotted down some numbers and called a couple carriers back in the hopes of learning something. I ended up not trusting anyone I spoke to because info was all over the place. I was more confused than when I started. Then I found the Transport Reviews website. I joined, ran a quick search, and decided to make phone calls to the top 5 rated companies. AmeriFreight came in way under everyone else cost wise. I was very skeptical at first because the rate was so darn low, so I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised at how professional it is. It has loads of good information for the novice such as myself. I took a shot, called and got hooked up with Brett. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and emails. I did go ahead and make those other 4 phone calls. Only one other company was as pleasant to deal with, but their rate was $500 more for the exact same service. So, I booked using the J-tracker feeling rather proud of myself. About 5 days later, Brett called and they already had a carrier. The rate was $200 higher than originally quoted, but I was not surprised as it is spelled out clearly in the confirmation email that rates can be re-negotiated depending on the carrier but they will be confirmed prior to pick up. Having said that, even at the higher rate, AmerFreight was STILL cheaper than anyone else by at least $300!!! The vehicle arrived 8 days later in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to use AmerFreight again. Kudos for being a different breed of auto transporter in what is seemingly a dog pile of mutts. read more

Robin L. Classy company moves classic truck! This was my first experience hiring a shipper to move a vehicle. I was very concerned after reading horror stories on the internet about bad shipping companies. I was most certainly concerned since I was shipping a 1971 Chevy C-10 Pick-up in original condition from the West coast to the East coast. After searching Google for a few weeks I settled on Amerifreight for their quick response to my quote request, price, and positive reviews. Jessica was my contact and she answered all questions and responded promptly via phone and email. In fact even one day I sent an email to Jessica and I received an "out of office" message back. I called the office and they said she was out sick that day, but she still responded to my email within a couple of hours. Now that is dedication! Back to moving the truck, I selected the economy package to save money. Jessica stated it may take 5 to 7 days before the truck would be scheduled to be picked up and the truck was picked up on day 7! Even though the Memorial Day holiday was in the middle, the truck was loaded for delivery as promised. I was very pleasantly surprised, when the truck made its journey successfully from San Diego, California to Newark, Delaware in just 4 days. No damage on the truck. The driver, Nazarius from New Empire Brothers called me called various time to keep me up to date of when he would be delivering the truck. Since he was arriving late night, he gave us options of where and when he could deliver the truck. The truck was pretty dirty, but I expected that because I went with the Open Transport. I found out that Nazarius had to move my truck on the transport during the journey and had to jumpstart it, but he did not charge me extra for that. An all-around great experience... I'd use Amerifreight again. read more

It is very important to understand the system that Amerifreight uses prior to shipping with them. Amerifreight does not ship directly, they are merely a middle man service to link you up with direct shippers. This means that they can't have direct control over the quality or timing of the shipping process. They do, however, attempt to do so by ensuring that all shippers are insured (which is good), as I had one back out because they didn't want to produce those documents. The price you get quoted first will likely not be what you pay in the end, especially if you pick a longer timeframe and cheaper option. You are given a couple of options/timeframes or "packages", and the shippers sort of "bid" on them. They likely know they can get more, so expect to pay $100-400 more than the lowest quote. If you pay the highest rate from the getgo, you can probably get a fast shipment, otherwise if you try to save money it may take time and not be on your most desired schedule. That being said, mine took longer and was more expensive than expected. The shipper did not show up on the first day, and arrived a little later than expected for delivery as well. The car, however, was in good shape (it was a classic car, so this was very important to me), and in the end that is what mattered more than the time to me, in this particular instance. If I needed the car faster it would have been more frustrating. The Amerifreight staff seem great and very helpful and responsive. Just understand that you will pay more than your initial quote, there are VERY HIGH credit card fees in addition to that charge, and that Amerifreight doesn't ship it themselves. In summary, their service feels slightly misleading, but in the end work out-- just at a higher price, in my case about $200+$100 credit card fees. read more

I recently relocated from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and my new employer was going to pay for the move. However, the local moving company who was contracted with my employer was unwilling to discount the price for shipping my 2002 Hyundai Elantra. That meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a portion of the move. After putting a large down payment on a new house in Philly, I didn't have the extra cash on hand to do that. So, after reading numerous laudatory reviews of AmeriFreight online, I spoke to Jessica, who gave me a quote of $495 for economy, open-truck shipping. Jessica also explained that there was an option to allow carriers to bid up to $200 more, if time was of the essence, which it was for me. Within an hour of speaking with Jessica, who was very professional and fully explained what to expect with the bidding & shipping process, we had a carrier bid for $650. That was still very acceptable because it was about HALF as much as the original moving company had quoted me. The carrier was IKA Group LLC, and my contact person was a friendly gentleman named Eldari. Both Jessica and Eldari were consistently available by phone, text, and/or email throughout the shipping process. Because the carrier beat me on the way up to Philly, I had to go meet Eldari in Bensalem, PA (15 miles outside of Philly) to pick up my Hyundai in the "yard." The yard was very dusty and dirty, because of high-traffic tractor trailors using dirt roads and dirt parking lots, but my car started fine and did not appear to be damaged during shipping. In sum, if you want to save hundreds of dollars by avoiding the inflated prices of name-brand, contracted movers, then do what I did...CALL JESSICA at AmeriFreight! Phone Direct: 678-608-0557. I have never shipped a car before so I didn't know what to do. I put a request online for quotes and I was immediately inundated with a barrage of quotes. Ameri-Freight was actually one of the first. I decided to check the top shipping companies by Google and according to the BBB, AmeriFreight was in the top 5. So I called them up. I actually needed to ship out the car fairly quickly as I was going to be taking a new job in California within 10 days. AmeriFreight said the earliest would be the 24th with 7-8 days shipping. So, I figured I'd rent a car for a couple days. Well, after submitting my deposit, a couple hours later I received a call about picking up my car on the 21st and that it would be there on the 26th when I arrived. I met the transporter at the local grocery store parking lot, he loaded the car, and it was in LA when I arrived. I plan to use AmeriFreight again when my wife moves to LA in a month. The one thing I was not expecting was that I would need to pay the auto transporter in cash the day of pickup. I thought I would pay the money to AmeriFreight and then they would pay the auto transporter. Nope. To me, this raised red flags. I don't know if that's because of my upbringing in this generation that just uses credit cards all the time or something else. It would have been nice to have been told this initially before I started the payment process. However, I did some more research after the fact and auto transporters do only take cash or money order as standard practice. My worries were eliminated. I ended up paying with a money order. I arrived in LA, picked up my car after some problems with the auto transporter (they gave me the wrong address), and I am now driving my beautiful Orange Challenger around LA. I will use again. read more

This is a review for AmeriFreight and Erica who works there (order No. 1501708008-JC). First I have to say the whole Auto Transport in general is a very "scummy" industry. Too many rip-off brokers saying they will do something for you and end up just stealing your deposit. And the too many transport companies that say they will be there and either cancel on you or not show up at all without notice. Also, any quote you receive is the least amount you will pay and not the most likely amount you will end of paying. So after reading many reviews I decided to go with AmeriFreight. I got my quote (least amount, which AmeriFreight was upfront about) and we were off and running. Erica and AmeriFreight started doing their thing and after telling her the date parameters (pickup & arrival) I needed to work with the fun started. There were a couple of small missteps along the way which were caused by the transport companies having issues, not AmeriFreight, but finally we were able to get everything done on time and the whole pickup & delivery couldn't have gone more smoothly. Erica updated my file with notes, which any of her other co-workers could inform me about when I called and Erica was unavailable. I appreciated that. I ended up paying about $100 more than my least amount original quote and I'm actually glad I did. I'm guessing I ended up with one of the best, most reliable transport companies in the business getting my car from South Florida to North Georgia in less than 24 hours. I ended up paying 180 (credit card) to AmeriFreight after they had the job scheduled and 455 (cash) to the transport company when they showed up with the car. Thanks Erica and AmeriFreight. read more

Journey of myCamery from San Diego to Portland, OR, overall its good. My Car had to move from San Diego to Portland, OR when I contacted Amerifright, Graham told me the fact that they are a brokerage company for vehicle transportation and they link up actual carrier and me for this movement. I was told that there is a carrier available either next day or the 2days from now and the delivery would require a minimum of 3-4 days for 1600 miles distance. As I need car for 2 more days, but I thought the car would be in portland by the time I reach there I have chosen to get my car picked next days and it will be 3 days by the time in portland to pick my car. The car was picked by CSA Auto carrier at 1AM the next day by Garik (driver) we quickly finished the paper work and he said car will be delivered to me in portland in 3-4 days. I reached portland on third days and took a rental car for 2 days just in case if myCamery is delayed. I was contacted Garik after 3day regarding the delivery time and he said he is stuck with some other car delivery and he will be there in 5-6 hrs on 4th day. And I called him on 5th days again and he said he will be there by afternoon that day and I was hopeful I can return my car as I took it for 2days. However the car was delivered to me in the evening at 10PM on 5th day in good shape. It was dusty due to rain as told by Garik but it was in same shape as it was picked. Though I had to pay for my rental car an extra day of rent. I was glad that car reached me in 5days as it is in same condition. So overall I give them a Good rating for this satisfactory service. read more

Very good experience overall. Ali Miller was great to work with. She was friendly and helpful each time I spoke with her on the phone. It took more than 15 days for her to find a carrier but she contacted me within that time and kept me posted. She changed the pick-up location to a larger city nearby which worked because she found a carrier shortly afterwards. It took approximately three weeks. The cost to transport my truck came to more than the original quote but was within the average cost from other quotes that I had received. The truck had to be driven to a location different from the address it was located at. A little inconvenient as I had to have family members coordinate with the carrier and drive the vehicle to where the carrier wanted to meet since I had already left the area. All-in-all the pickup went well. The carrier delivered the truck in six days which was sooner than I had expected. The truck arrived fine, no damage. The only thing to mention was it had oil on the top and right side of the truck. Not sure if it came from the vehicle above it during transport, but thats what it appeared to look like. It took a little scrubbing but I was able to clean it off and the truck looks fine. I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to anyone looking to transport a vehicle. Just keep in mind they are a broker and not the company who actually hauls your vehicle, but they do appear to be selective in the carriers they use. I would definitely use them again if I had to transport another vehicle. read more

I got so lucky. I had no idea where to start as this was our first time having a car shipped cross country. I searched the internet and AmeriFreight's name kept popping up as the best company to use. I read the 5 star reviews and decided to try the company. I couldn't have been any luckier picking AmeriFreight. They were incredibly responsive right from the start. They assigned me a personal consultant and he answered every one of my thousand and one questions. He was very patient and thorough. He informed me of the entire process and helped me plan out the move. Even though we were in different time zones, someone was always available to answer my questions. They gave me an official quote (it was very competitive compared to the 3 others I called) and amazingly the final cost was lower than the quote. We ran into trouble since the car was in a gated community both upon pickup and delivery (I didn't think about the truck not being to get in and out of the gate) but they helped us through every aspect of this snafu. The car arrived without a scratch and sooner than we had expected. We are thrilled with the service and professionalism of this company. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and use them again if we ever need them. I highly recommend that you speak to AmeriFreight! Our order number was 1501599105-XH if you need to verify that we are truly customers. The company followed up with us afterwards to make sure all our needs were met. Very impressive! read more

This company is AWFUL. I would never recommend to anyone. I was quoted $1125 for a trip from NH to GA which was far more than the three other carriers I spoke with. I chose to go with another company that charged me $300 less and was nothing but pleasant. When I explained my situation to them they said this company AmeriFreight is known for price gouging and bad business practice. Shocker. When I told AmeriFreight I was going to use a different company they told to me they would be keeping my $225 deposit even though they were not rendering any services. I explained to them that over a month ago I decided against using them and would be going with a less expensive carrier and was confused as to why they had even posted my vehicle when I was contracted with another carrier. The manager never got on the phone and their customer service rep Samantha Smith hung up on me when I said I would be forced to dispute with my bank. Clearly the sales reps make a commission and are not looking out for the customers best interest, just their own pockets. I have NEVER heard of a company keeping such a large deposit when they have done nothing for you, or explained that this is their business practice. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. My bank has assured me that this will be taken care of but would have been a heck of a lot easier to have had AmeriFreight do right by me and just refund my deposit in the first place. read more
