We had a horrible experience trying to find a reputable transportation company to transport a 17,000 pound truck from Arizona to Oklahoma that we had just purchased. I signed up on a site to get quotes, did not notice sellers DOT number was still visible, which allowed transport companies to look up dot number and obtain companies name and phone number, transport companies started contacting the seller to arrange pick up, outside of the site I was using to get bids, misleading the seller as if they were the hired transport company. This made the process more stressful, and caused confusion with the seller. Quotes I received on the website ranged from $2600-$3300.00 to transport the truck. Pick up window averaged up to 7 days after transport as booked. Each company that responded, I checked their reviews on BBB/google, their business registration on Secretary of State in the state they were located, and checked the operating status on FMCSA site. I was surprised to see horrible reviews on BBB, and some unprofessional responses from the companies and some brokerages/transport companies had no authorization status on FMCSA I happened to come across Amerifreight on google by accident! I checked BBB (4.8 rating), S.O.S (active/in compliance) and FMCSA (authorized brokerage). I was interested in speaking with them; they had the best history by far on BBB, authority on FMCSA. I called and spoke with Lisa Henderson. She was the most informative agent I spoke with, very upfront about what her company does and what to expect during the process. They only use companies with 4.5 star rating, they vet each company before they are assigned. She reassured me that she would be with me through the entire process, from arranging transport, pick up, and delivery. After I signed up with Amerifreight, with in a couple of hours Lisa had found a transport company, that could pick up the truck the following day (12/6/23) eta arrival 12/7/2023 for $1415.00, requiring a $315 deposit at time of booking, and remainder paid to transport company. Due to shady transport companies bothering the seller, Lisa went a step further and arranged for seller to contact transport company to arrange pick up time to ensure the truck was released to the correct company. After seller made contact with transport company set up pick up time at noon on 12/6/2023. I immediately received an update, the driver reached out and introduced himself. When driver showed up to load the truck he called me to confirm last 6 digits of vin to ensure correct truck was being loaded. I inquired about ETA a couple hours later for following day, attempt to arrange for someone to be at the shop, driver responded promptly eta 1-2pm, would let me know better eta in the morning. First thing the next morning I received an update transport would arrive around 2:00pm, which ended up being the time of arrival. Truck was unloaded quickly, no issues, guy was nice, professional, thorough at the time of drop off. Lisa kept her word and checked in randomly to ensure we had no concerns during transport! I'm very pleased with my experience with Amerifreight and transport company. They worked together, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great!

We shipped our car from Michigan to Washington State using Ameri-Freight. (***We initially signed up with Rapid Auto Shipping about 2 weeks before and their Rep. Ed Hunt assured us that the price would not increase from what he quoted. He gave that assurance several times leading up to our pickup date. On the day the car was to be picked up Rapid Auto Shipping tried to extort another $400 out of us saying there was a problem with the initial carrier.) We then contacted Ameri-Freight, spoke with Robyn, and our car was on the carrier that same day! The price was great and Robyn's communication skills were excellent! She's a true professional in her field. The car arrived on-time (5 days) and it was a great experience! (Especially after all the stress with other brokers that preceded our hiring Ameri-Freight. Thanks Robyn!!!

AmeriFreight is hands down one of the most dishonest companies I've ever dealt with. Maleah, Carovanzieus, and Michelle did nothing but lie to me day after day, constantly promising my car would be picked up on time when there was clearly no chance left to meet the deadline. They kept feeding me false reassurance instead of being upfront, completely wasting my time and causing unnecessary stress. Told me one number just to get my business and then tried charging me 3 times that. Then, after my deadline had already passed, they suddenly claimed they "found a driver" -- completely useless at that point and just another example of their incompetence. 0 stars read more

DO NOT USE! All the recent reviews are horrible for a reason. AmeriFreight is a broker, not a trucking company. They take 30% up front for supposedly managing the process but they do NOTHING once they get your money. I doubt they even tried to get the best price from the trucking company since they work off commission. The pick-up did not happen at the agreed-upon location. It wasn't even within walking distance. They didn't tell me until AFTER they were supposed to pick up the car that it wouldn't be where we agreed. They were also very late, and I couldn't reach anyone to tell me what was going on. Thankfully I put an AirTag in the car, or I would have absolutely no idea where it was. I could see that it still hadn't left Los Angeles FOUR DAYS LATER even though it was supposed to get to St. Louis in 7 days. I tried to reach someone to find out what was going on, and I finally received a response falsely stating it had left California when I knew it was still there. The drop-off was just as horrible. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, I heard nothing all day despite several attempts to find out what was going on. At the end of the day, they finally responded to tell me the driver had timed out on his hours and couldn't drive anymore that day. That's also when they told me for the first time that the car would not be dropped off at the agreed-upon location but SEVEN MILES AWAY IN A DIFFERENT CITY. They put me on standby, waiting for the driver to text me to come get the car. As all the recent reviews say, stay away!!! read more

I have mixed feelings because AmeriFreight is essentially the "middle man" and my car / items were damanged in transport by the Diesel Auto Express driver. However AmeriFreight still partners with Diesel Auto Express and that's why I'm writing this review. I will say AmeriFreight's agents were always friendly and answered calls quickly. I had my car shipped with Diesel Auto Express this December via AmeriFreight. I was moving cross country and I needed my roof rack and bike rack to be shipped along with my car. The agent from AmeriFreight took photos of my vehicle (with the roof rack and bike rack on) and specifically looked for a driver who would ship my car with the items attached. My car was picked up with both items securely on and the driver (who was very nice) did not say anything about the roof rack needing to be removed. HOWEVER when my car was delivered my roof rack was inside my car (it barely fit.) My $800 Yakima roof rack was cracked and completely taken apart then shoved into my car. I reached out to Diesel Auto Express's insurance company but their deductible has a minimum of $5000 so they told me I would have to file an in-house claim. Of course, Diesel Auto refused to replace my roof rack. All I asked was that they re-imbursement me for a new roof rack. I didn't ask for any compensation for the scratches and damage to the leather seats (which must have occurred when the driver shoved the rack into the car.) They stated that the driver has the discretion to take the rack off--which I can understand however the driver completely broke the roof rack. Why not just be a stand-up company and reimburse me for the item your employee broke? read more

AmeriFreight Is a Complete Scam -- Stay Far, Far Away Let me save you time, money, and a massive headache: do not, under any circumstances, use AmeriFreight. This company is the definition of incompetence, indifference, and borderline fraud. I shipped two vehicles--one to Texas, the other to Los Angeles--and despite filling out every detail with obsessive accuracy, AmeriFreight managed to screw up both in spectacular fashion. Disaster #1: WRONG CITY They listed the wrong destination for my Texas car--a full three hours off. This meant I had to personally negotiate with the driver to get the car where it was supposed to go which cost me at least an extra $100. This wasn't a minor oversight. This was pure negligence. Their mistake. My problem. Their solution? Silence. Disaster #2: Ghosted Over Pickup The LA car wasn't picked up on time. I called five times, got the same robotic nonsense: "The carrier will call you." No one ever did. I had to track down the carrier myself and arrange my own pickup, over 12 hours late. Again--AmeriFreight was completely useless. Disaster #3: 7-Day Late Delivery, No Updates The car was seven days late. No updates. No calls. No apology. I had to play detective and find the carrier on my own to figure out where the car was. Why even hire a broker if you have to do all the brokering yourself? When confronted with questions about the carrier, AmeriFreight again said "let me work on it" 30 hrs later, no response. Disaster #4: Shady Payment and No Receipt Their payment system is a joke. You pay 20% upfront to AmeriFreight by credit card, then you're forced to pay the rest in cash at delivery--yes, cash, in 2025. It's a system designed for zero accountability. When I asked for a simple cash receipt, I got ghosted. It's been 3 weeks. I've called 15+ times, emailed them detailed requests with "CASH PAYMENT RECEIPT" in bold letters and still, nothing. Either they won't or they can't provide proof of the money I handed over. Final Word: AmeriFreight is not a logistics company--they're a middleman that takes your money, passes you off to random carriers, then vanishes the moment anything goes wrong. They are disorganized, and dangerously unprofessional. They created problems, ignored my calls for help, and left me cleaning up their mess--over and over again. As I write this review, I am still waiting on the cash receipts. This company is a masterclass in how not to run a business. If you want stress, wasted time, surprise costs, and zero support, AmeriFreight's your match. Everyone else: RUN. If I could give negative stars, I would. read more

The amount of people that said had a positive experience with Virginia Raynes makes me wonder why my experience was a complete 180. I was looking at shipping my SUV from Oklahoma City to the Denver area since I was moving there and didn't want to drive. I requested a quote and was put in contact with Virginia. I was given my quote and it was a little higher than another quote I got from a different broker (I was looking between multiple brokers). During my initial phone call with Virginia, I had let her know the price she quoted me was very steep. I told her the other prices I was quoted with the other brokers when asked what the estimates were from my other quote. And she had the audacity to say that those quotes "were a sham". She explained that companies like Amerifreight are brokers (which I already knew from a conversation from another broker) and that prices always change even prior to pick up after having a reservation. I explained to her the other brokers I got quotes from were able to guarantee me the price I was quote and that it'll never change. She asked if I had that in writing and I told her yes. I sent it to the email address she used to reach out to me when I had requested a quote. I highlighted the part in the quote where it clearly stated "the price is locked and won't change" just to disprove what she had told me. She refused to acknowledge whether she had received the email I had sent and what I had provided her was a legitimate quote. I have a feeling I caught her in a lie! Even after sending her proof to back up what I had told her, she goes off on multiple tangents and tried using intimidation and other scare tactics to convince me in to thinking that the other brokers I was considering would rip me off in the end and I should choose Amerifreight. The other brokers actually have as good of ratings on Google and BBB as Amerifreight (surprisingly). Virginia said she's working on my reservation now and I told her I did not feel comfortable using Amerifreight after what she had just said to me. She purposefully ignored what I said and went straight to asking me for contact info, credit card etc., to which I immediately hung up. She tried contacting me multiple times to the point I had to block her phone number and email so she could stop spamming me for my business. I'm not sure why or how others had pleasant experiences with Virginia and why mine was a total nightmare. I ended up doing my business with NX LLC. Not only did they guarantee me a firm price, the firm price they guaranteed me with (and the price I already paid for) was MUCH LOWER than the quote I was given for the same shipment with Amerifreight! And the shipper they found for me even picked up and delivered earlier than scheduled. I'm really disappointed with my experience with Amerifreight and urge people who are looking at shipping cars to look elsewhere! read more

Avoid at all costs! They play games and the offer was $400 more than the initial quote that was on the high end. Then the rep Liz was very unprofessional and canceled my listing because she accused me of working with another broker. Told me it's "busy season" and I likely wouldn't get a better rate than the $1700 they wanted to ship my vehicle on an open transport carrier! SGT Auto Transport saved the day and got me a driver the next day, AND FOR LESS than AF's original quote! AF should take a lesson from them on how to treat the customer! read more

If I could give less than a 1 star, I would!! They "guaranteed" me that there would be no "bait and switch" yet that's exactly what happened! I have never posted a bad review b/c I don't want to hurt any business but this a public service warning!!! Less than one day before the agreed upon transport, a stranger contacted me to do a 11PM pickup with the full balance due?! And when I tried to get a old of "Gina" who said she would always be available for any issues, she was nowhere to be found. And I am supposed to "trust" that this stranger was with the company and would deliver the car without further payment requests (even though he had already broken the original agreement)?!?!?!?!?! I just anted to pay a fair price to have my car transported. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. ESPECIALLY GINA. read more

AmeriFreight quoted me $475 with pickup set for June 3. The driver never came -- and no one told me. I wasn't notified until 2 PM the next day that the pickup was missed and a new carrier was booked. What they didn't mention? The new price was $657 -- I found that out after getting the receipt. I had already warned them: no delays were allowed due to storage fees accruing. Instead, I was ignored, misinformed, and left without any say in the cost hike. Then the second driver delayed pickup too, again without notice from AmeriFreight. I requested a supervisor, made it clear I'd be forwarding storage fees, and only then did the broker say he'd "ask the driver about a discount." That was the last time I heard from anyone. On June 6 at 8:55 PM, I got texts from two different drivers trying to pick up my vehicle -- neither knew about the other. I had to sort it out on my own, while at work, because AmeriFreight didn't coordinate anything. Their website claims: "We take care of all the logistics, so you can sit back and relax. This is where the magic happens. We coordinate the timing, ensuring your vehicle is picked up and delivered as smoothly as possible. You don't have to worry about a thing." That is false advertising. I did the work. They took the money. I've filed complaints with the FTC and BBB. Avoid this company. read more

I booked with AmeriFreight about 8 days ago for auto transport, emphasizing that my car absolutely needed to arrive in Atlanta by January 5, 2026. I signed the order and provided all required details upfront. Despite repeatedly following up (multiple calls and messages), I received no meaningful updates on carrier assignment or pickup progress. Today (January 2, 2026, in the afternoon), after yet another follow-up, the representative could only say they were "still looking" with no timeline or concrete information. We're now extremely close to my deadline with zero movement on the shipment. Unfortunately, this forced me to cancel and switch to another carrier at the last minute, causing me to lose valuable time and incur extra costs for an additional week of rental car coverage while I wait for the new arrangement. While I understand auto transport involves variables like carrier availability, the complete lack of proactive communication and inability to provide any reliable status updates made this experience highly stressful and unreliable. I expected better from a company with a strong reputation, especially for time-sensitive moves. I would caution others with strict deadlines to consider options that offer more transparent tracking or guaranteed windows. read more

I received a quote for $859 and the lowest offer I got was $1,600. Other offers I received were $2,300, and $1,800. Why provide a quote if the best you can do is 2x that? In my line of work, we call that lying and undercutting. It's either unethical or laziness on the part of Amerifreight. Regardless, I highly recommend not using them. The people I worked with were nice (shoutout to Henry!) but whoever provides the quote should be fired. read more

They initially lowballed the quote and then made us wait and wait stating "oh we're still finding a carrier, it's a busy time so it won't happen till closer to the actual date" and then today they called and asked for 700$ more than the initial quote. Absolute joke of a service. Stay away from them and go with Montway or literally any other car transport service. read more

Unfortunately, I am giving this company and specifically the customer service agent, Jen Sylvester, a 1 star rating. I used this company to ship 2 cars from NJ to CA in 2023 and all went well. Fast forward to May 2025, I decided to use the same company and agent to ship 3 cars from CA back to NJ again expecting another great service. I booked with the company over 7 weeks in advance. Day of the my scheduled pick up, the carrier never contacted me to arrange pick up and never arrived after I attempted to reach out as well. The following day I reached out again to Jen and AmeriFreight and had to leave multiple messages to get any updates. Jen displayed zero urgency to find myself another carrier for 3 cars that needed to be shipped within the next few days. The following day I decided I needed to go with another company so I texted Jen to cancel my order and receive my deposit refund. She then finally texted/emailed/called me multiple times stating she would find me a new carrier. I had to insist multiple times I have no choice but to go with a new carrier and to refund my money. A week later and no refund, no one returns my calls at the main office and Jen has now ignored all my emails asking for an update on my refund. Unfortunately I had dispute this charge on my credit card due to the lack of refund on their end. Do not work with this company or Jen. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!! Car pick up was almost a week late and they over quoted me by $500. Pick up went smooth but then the drivers car broke down and they had to take the car on and off the truck without me there to supervise. They left it sitting on the car waiting to get fixed with no updates and sent pictures of another car and would no respond to my questions or concerns. Half the staff barely works and is never in the office and they will give you the run around. Especially Hannah or Brooke, so don't even waste your time. SERVICE REQUESTED WAS 11/27 to 12/4 and no updates since pick up. STILL HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE WHERE MY CAR IS AND WILL HAVE TO REPORT IT MISSING. read more

I needed transportation for my car from Ohio to NC. Getting everything set up was easy enough and I don't think the problem was with AmeriFreight but with the dispatch company. Carrier Name: MATILLDA LLC Carrier Contact: Vasil Sabiashvili. The car was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday afternoon, then Sunday night, then Monday morning. The car was picked up in Ohio and a friend was handling it for me. He said the driver didn't even speak English! The driver's truck broke down half way through the trip. I had to make numerous phone calls and send numerous texts throughout the weekend to get updates. No one was proactive in providing information. Of course, I couldn't contact AmeriFreight because they're closed on the weekends! I left emails and made phone calls to express my frustrations. I will say that they did respond and were apologetic and would let the admin know NOT to use this trucking "company" again! Thankfully, my car finally arrived safely Monday morning. read more

The response submitted from the company is inaccurate. And If Amerifreight was actually concerned about my frustration as they say, I imagine they would have called me directly to discuss. I need to address several issues that have been brought up. First, I was told that AFTA was a separate entity from Amerifreight, but only a few weeks ago. When I called to reach Stephen Coles several times over the last 7 months I was repeatedly told he was unavailable would return my call--he never did. When I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to regarding my AFTA claim, I was told he was the only one handling it with Amerifreight. This confused me, since Stephen Coles has an Amerifreight email address and signature, leading me to believe that AFTA and Amerifreight were, in fact, the same company. To further add to the confusion, the contact number listed on the AFTA portal (where I submitted documentation) rings directly to Amerifreight. Given that I had no other resources or contacts available, I kept reaching out to Amerifreight in hopes of finding a resolution to my claim. I was more than willing to speak with anyone else, and would have been happy to, but was continuously told there was no one else. Regarding the photo evidence, I need to clarify that the response by Amerifreight is completely false. I received my vehicle on 7/14 at 11:17 AM and immediately reported the incident on the AFTA portal at 4:04 PM the same day. Less than 6 hours after receiving my vehicle. I didn't hear back from anyone, so I followed up with Michelle Woods, my Amerifreight contact, asking if she had received the information I submitted and if I had done it correctly. I was essentially looking for guidance on the process, though I understand now that wasn't really her responsibility. Stephen Coles should have contacted me after I filed the incident report which would've saved a lot of time and frustration. On 8/9, I submitted the requested documentation (BOL and photos) to the AFTA portal after Michelle kindly procured and emailed me the necessary documents from the shipping carrier. So to be clear--AFTA had the photos of my vehicle less than a month after the incident, but despite this, I continued to receive no responses to my calls or emails. On 9/16, I emailed Stephen Coles again to follow up, expressing that it had been two months with no resolution and attaching the photos AGAIN. At that point, I had been waiting for over two months and was still getting no answers. On 10/2, Stephen finally responded, stating he had been sending emails through the AFTA website (though I never received any- another issue AFTA needs to sort). He mentioned that I should have already received a claim settlement, but I hadn't. On 10/9, he sent another email saying the team was reviewing my claim and would get back to me within a couple of days--but I still didn't hear anything. This was my first time hearing there was a "team" handling my claim. I was told multiple times that the only one to handle these claims...was Stephen. Then, on 10/28 through the AFTA portal, I received a message saying additional documents were needed. At that point, I was frustrated and asked Stephen directly what documents were still missing, as I had already submitted the BOL and photos on the web portal AND directly to Stephen. I also requested that we set up a phone call to resolve this, but received no response at all. Finally, after more follow-up attempts, Michelle Woods confirmed the settlement document should have already been sent. Stephen responded on 11/15, promising to send the settlement and wrap things up--but again, I heard nothing after that. It wasn't until I submitted a 1-star review on 1/23/25, (2 months later), that I finally heard from Stephen Coles. That was the first time I actually heard his voice in 7 months. Let me be clear, on 1/24 was the 1st time that Stephen CALLED me on the phone. The fact that it took a public review for someone to finally get in touch with me is unacceptable. And the response from Amerifreight that photo evidence wasn't provided is simply inaccurate. I've submitted the necessary documentation and photos multiple times, and it's clear that the lack of communication and follow-through has been the primary issue here. This process could have been handled much more efficiently with better communication, transparency, and a genuine effort to resolve the issue. As a customer I felt ignored and disregarded. I am incredibly disappointed in the way this has been handled, and at this point, I just want it to be over. I never intended to leave a negative review, but after months of getting no answers or resolution, it became clear that was the only way to get any sort of response. And I was correct. There is more I could I say and would be happy to discuss with the business owner, but at this point I will await the refund that Stephen offered and hope it does not take an additional 7 months to process. read more

AmeriFreight damaged our car and cost us thousands of dollars when their truck struck another vehicle at 70 mph also damaging several other cars onboard. AmeriFrieght's driver told us there was no damage and that the car was inspected. This was a lie. The car was not checked by any professional. Our car's suspension was completely destroyed. AmeriFreight has ignored us and has cost us thousands of dollars. We were looking forward to starting in a new city but now we are financially struggling and stressed out because AmeriFreight has put us into debt. Below is the official police report which is public information it shows that AmeriFreight damaged 8 cars as well as 2 semi trucks. The police ranked a "Most Harmful Event" and the driving was so reckless that drug and alcohol tests had to be administered. Will update review to see if AmeriFreight ever reimburses us or not. Not very impressed even though I had high hopes. At first when I called to retrieve my quote of $579 that was obtained online, I was greeted by a nice employee who walked me through the process. I was told that I'd be informed once an available driver was able to transport my car home to me from a different state. It wasn't until the next day that I had finally received confirmation. The lame part now though was that I had to act fast or risk losing the available driver. So I opted in, but now the price had jumped up an additional $200 all of a sudden. I had to pay about $278 up front to book and the remaining $500 upon the arrival of my car. I had no choice, I needed to get my car home, so I paid. Even after the payment, the communication with the driver and his company was very difficult. I tried my best to communicate with the company of my work schedule and to see if I could get a better picture of when to expect the driver. But unfortunately, the team did not speak very much English and so I don't think my words and concerns translated over as expected. I was already at work at 9am and still wasn't given any notice of arrival time except for the notification that it would be today. Then at about 9:30am I receive a text from the driver telling me he would be at my address in about 30 min to an hour. So, I had to ask to leave work to go home to receive my car. It was a very draining process that gave me so much anxiety. I tried getting a partial refund back but was denied. But I never want to transport through Amerifreight again. This was not a fun and worry-free experience. I'm happy my car made it home safely but I would never want to have that kind of scare again! **Update. 1/20/2025 at 7:46pm. Upon reading the response from you guys I am hearing nothing but a lame excuse. I remember asking for sure if the price of $579 would be locked in and was told yes. So, please tell me of the part where I was explained about the possible bait and switch fees? Even when I asked before booking why it jumped $200 extra the employee said "yes, it did come out to be just a bit higher, did you still want to book? I felt cornered. The dealership has already been holding my car for a number of days. You guys lack accountability. Just admit that you used tactics to tie me into doing service with you all. read more

I gotta say...there are a lot of companies out there that are shady shady shady! I was so happy to find Amerifreight. They got me a hauler for my car to get it from Cal to MD and they were flexible when I needed them to be. The best part is that you know they won't rip you off and they take their status at the Better Business Bureau very seriously. My car is back, Amerifreight found me a good driver, and now this whole thing is behind me (there was a car accident involved). I'm happy I found them and I'm happy to recommend them to you. read more

This company is a SCAM. They PREY on folks that are desperate to move their cars. The company will send a lowball quote knowing they have beat all of the competition in pricing hoping you will be the next SUCKER to give an upfront deposit to. Which on the website the business claims no upfront deposit. Kinda ironic. The company will have you sign a contract as well which locked you in from canceling if you want all your money back. 2 days prior to pick up the company will claim "DEAD ROUTE" no drivers available and WANT DOUBLE the CONTRACTED PRICE in order to ship your car. That's an ILLEGAL scam called Bait and Switch. If you refuse the company will then HARASS you trying to get you to agree to the ridiculously higher price outside of your contract claiming you need to pay the driver in cash the difference. The biggest problem with companies like this is honest working folks are under the impression that the company is going to move your car from point A to point B for the contracted price and dates agreed upon. That was never the shipping company's plan. I'm reporting this fraudulent company and all of my conversations and contract information to the state this company is operating under. read more

When you call they give you a great quote but beware its a fake quote. When it comes time to actually have your car transported they ask for more money. They claim there is NO DRIVER that will take it for that price. He then will say he will chip in some $ to help...all fake. I ended up paying $400 to get my car and they didn't even get it on the date they promised. When delivered they would NOT take credit card only cash, cashiers check or money order. I can NOT recommend this company. Poor communication and bait and switch tactics. It took 19 days from accepting the estimate with their preferred priority rate ("1-3 days for the vehicle to be picked up") to receive the vehicle from Michigan to California. It took a full week to get a carrier's quote for the vehicle to even be picked up. According to them, "The Priority rate is used when you have less time, about 1-3 days, for your vehicle to be picked up. It is priced at the market rate for similar vehicles on your route." So this was already days longer than they communicated. The cost of the carrier that I was told was already in the area and could pick up the vehicle that same day was considerably more than the original estimate, but I agreed thinking the vehicle would then be picked up that day (Friday) as I was told. Classic bait and switch. The vehicle was never picked up that day. I had made special arrangements for the vehicle to be picked up and had to call AmeriFreight to find out what was going on which became an inconvenience. It took a while to get a response. I was then told that the driver never received the message to pick it up so it was out of their hands. So I would have to wait until after the holiday weekend when the driver would pick up the vehicle on that Tuesday. The vehicle was actually not picked up until that Thursday. The actual vehicle never arrived until the following Monday evening. In fact, AmeriFreight stopped responding to my emails and I had to deal with the driver directly, who stated that he was having truck problems. The vehicle did arrive finally and was in good condition thus the 2-star rating. I really feel that once they had my deposit and the transporter picked up the vehicle they stopped caring about the order. My representative said she would speak to her supervisor about this but she has yet to respond with an answer as I don't feel it's fair that I paid for priority shipping and only received economy service. If it took this long they should have honored the original estimate. read more

The service was around $1100 total from MD to CA. Everything was fine until the day before pickup when I was told that I would need to meet the driver at a location 15 mins from my house. It was a grocery store because supposedly my street was too small for the truck to fit. Admittedly, the truck was huge, however, there were plenty of places closer that we could have met. Additionally, this step in the process should have been disclosed way sooner than the day before in order for me to make arrangements. I booked the service weeks out. Lastly, Lisa told me that an Uber would be paid for by the driver for me to get back home because of the inconvenience. Then, the driver predicted that I over packed the car past 100 lbs and gave me an ultimatum of paying $50 for it OR paying for my own uber!! He hadn't even weighed anything but said that he could tell by looking :( All in all, my car arrived a few days early and in good condition. I did need to again drive to a location other than the drop off address given. read more
I requested an estimate to ship my car and they have been relentless in spamming me, calling me, and texting me. I told them they were too high in price and I used UShip but they will not stop. It's been almost a month. Don't give them your real email, phone, or number. read more

Had Harley shipped from California to Louisiana. Delivered really late at night and bike had paint damage. Next day the company they used said to tell them cost. I got a great deal off 900 to fix damage. That is Harley dealership taking off parts and putting back on bike. This is a Harley Davidson Ultra Glide Classic CVO so paint is not easy to get at all. I have been ghosted by trucking broker and Amerifreight has only emailed the broker to ask him to send bill of lading. Next step is to put a lien against there bond. read more

I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Gave them a months notice to ship cars, when the date was getting closer I began to worry, many calls to them went unanswered with no call back. Donna is useless, maybe time for her to retire cuz shes out of it. I called 3 days before the car was to be shipped as DONNA never followed up with me only to have her text me ALL IN CAPS, with her BS story. 3 days before cars due to ship price increased, almost double. Dont even think of this poorly run place if you are looking to ship your car. I found another place same day that DONNA SHOUTED at me and guess what? They picked up my cars next day. Go to anger management Donna and def take some classes on customer service, you are in need of both, texting customers all in CAPS proves it Look at all the reviews, more bad than good and check out BBB complaints also. read more

Do not use Amerifreight to transport your vehicle. I shopped and compared every way possible. The actual carrier they contracted was Diesel Auto Express. I took pictures and a video. I turned over a vehichle clean of any damage. I bought the addl damage coverage from Amerifreight. Upon receiving my vehichle, damage was spotted as it was still sitting on the transporter, the driver acknowledged the damage and documented it on the papers. Filed a claim, Amerifreight denied it, the additional coverage policy was denied as there is always a loophole where carriers are involved. The actual carrier denied it also, even though they signed the document and pictures documented the damage. Do not hire either company to transport your vehichle, there are reputable carriers out there, not Amerifreight or Diesel Auto Express. read more

I have shipped with Amerifreight before and worked with Brandy which made this 2nd shipment worry-free. Brandy is an exceptional professional with an impeccable work ethic. She sent texts to keep me informed so the entire process was seamless. The driver and transport carrier was exceptional and on time. I will ONLY ship from now on through Brandy, I wholeheartedly trust her. I did speak.to other reps that were extremely professional and followed through with every task and call back. I have used many shippers and by far this one has the best team. Thank you! read more

I think it is important to set expectations. AmeriFreight is a broker. This means I paid $315 to AmeriFreight, so some AmeriFreight employee (broker) can use some secret auto transport kayak search engine and book a driver for me. Too bad the public doesn't have access to this search or everyone will make less money. I think AmeriFreight did a good job in explaining the auto transport process. At least the AmeriFreight broker knew what "lbs" stood for vs some other broker companies I talked to. One thing AmeriFreight did not mention is they don't pick up calls or answer emails over the weekend. Also, expect to pay the upper end of the price range. There is no price lock for booking with AmeriFrieght early as I believe they do their kayak search the very last second. Yes, I paid a lot. I should have booked with Move Auto (https://www.yelp.com/biz/moveauto-burlingame?osq=move+auto+transport) AmeriFreight booked some company named, AR TRANSPORT 2019. The only thing I liked about AR Transport 2019 was they got my car from Mississippi to the Bay Area of California in 2.5 days instead of the estimated 5 days. What I really hated was the driver for AR Transport. It is advertised door-to-door, but it isn't at all. After I paid my $315 and got the info for the driver, I found out the driver wanted to meet near the freeway because he kept saying his truck is tall. I was saying I live 2 minutes away from a Toyota dealership. He said he doesn't know the city well. Luckily, I had a good neighbor. We were suppose to meet at 7:30am. The driver got there at 8am. What a waste of my time. Plus, his truck was not tall. There were only 3 Mercedes Sprinter vans on his truck. It wasn't even long like those bigger trucks that transports cars to dealerships. Second, as mentioned above, the driver got there in 2.5 days. The driver told me he was going to call me the night before, but he decided to call me 2 hours before his arrival. So I had to scramble to find someone to help me meet the driver as my original person was not available. And of course the meet point was near the freeway. My friend was okay with driving out there to meet with the transport driver. Lastly, I guess I'm lucky the driver didn't get into any accident as he could not do math. The transport cost me $1350. I said I would zelle him, but because he is a new contact, zelle's limit is $1000 per day. I'm so lucky my my friend could get $350 in cash. Anyways, I had to explain the 5th grader transport driver that $1 (my zelle test) + $999 (zelle) = $1000. And my friend's $350 in cash would give him a total of $1350. He was confused, but I think he eventually understood he had received all his money. I really did not want to spend that time on the phone explaining that as that week United decided to cancel so many flights and I was had one of those flights. read more

Good on the phone customer representative conversant with all details and good with replies to questions and uncertainty. Quoted me a price over the internet that was wildly low (60% of actual), so felt a bit of disappointment over this not accidental discrepancy. Further promised was a day before call for the pickup window. Here I sit at noon on the pickup day, having also called the actual transport company, and I remain entirely uninformed. Promises made, not really delivered. Wonder if it will be the same for the vehicle. Not happy by a long shot read more
Shipping a car more than 1000 miles is no walk in the park and the market is niche, meaning you will be required to use a broker (intermediary) to identify an auto transport company. After reading countless reviews about the process and companies offering this service, I landed on AMERIFREIGHT. Every aspect of the experience was as expected. I worked with Virginia and she was a pleasure: thorough, professional, responsive and knowledgeable. Process: Provide vehicle information (year, make & model), preferred pick up date and the ship to/ship from location. Based on this, you are provided an estimate which does vary depending on time of year. The information is placed on a board for driver companies who place a bid. The bid is sent to AmeriFreight (pick up and delivery dates will vary) and you are permitted to accept or decline the offer. When the quote is provided, a rating for the driver's company is provided and they are insured. Experience: i was quoted approx $900 to ship a vehicle from CA to IL. Ultimately I paid $1500 (May 2021). I received quotes in pairs on two occasion and each were the same price. The difference was the pick up day. Suspect the companies match quotes as opposed to it being true competition. The driver I was paired with was communicative and extremely responsive as well. However, the driver is the reason for deducting a star because the schedule requires extreme flexibility! Wish I wasn't caught by surprise both times it happened and was advised of my options: can you say "no"? Once I accepted the bid, AmeriFreight provided a pick up day, eg Thursday but the driver called Wednesday at 6p requesting to pick up ASAP. He said he'd arrive in 45-60 min but did so at just before midnight. The same scenario occurred at drop off. I was excited to get my car two days early, but it was after all financial institutions close and you must pay the balance, 75% or so in cash which created a few wrinkles. Add to this, the driver stated he was 2.5 hours away but arrived 4.5 hours 7:30 v 9:50p later. The car was as it looked at pick up but a late night pick up and drop off makes it challenging to inspect the car, thus the reason there's a "at night" box on the bill of lading. In sum, plan to pay at least what is quoted but likely more, allow yourself a few days to locate someone and don't be afraid to say no to the first offer if you have time to wait bit. AmeriFreight is better than the others who inundate you with bulk emails and gimmick like calls. read more

I researched online, as I always do first when entering new territory. As a result, I then called AmeriFreight. Lecia assisted me in understanding what would be involved in shipping my car to my Mom in Maine, who needed a car within the next couple weeks. Lecia answered questions honestly about what would be involved, and I was confident in dealing with AmeriFreight. We confirmed some things by email and finished setting things up for her to search for a truck to transport my car. Lecia called me about a day later and had located a driver, but I was not able to get my car to the pickup location that soon. Lecia understood that and said she would keep looking for the next opportunity. Lecia called me again in a couple more days just to keep in touch and confirm she was still looking for a driver for us. Things had changed some at my end, and I told her there was a chance I wouldn't be shipping my car after all if we ended up buying a car for my Mom from someplace nearby to her. I told Lecia maybe she should put my request on hold until we figured things out. Lecia was very understanding and said to let her know when I wanted to reactivate my request. After several days, we determined my car was still going to be the best way of meeting their needs, so I called Lecia, and she picked up right where we left off and began looking again. The very next evening, on behalf of Lecia, George from AmeriFreight, called me with an offer to ship my car the next morning. The pickup and dropoff locations I had given for each end of the shipment would involve some travel for us but I had figured these would be fairly easy to access with a large truck and trailer. George told me right away that the driver's fee was a little more than their initial estimate of shipping costs, so I needed to decide if I wanted to do it or not. I considered the increase and asked if we could negotiate any closer delivery points to the pickup and dropoff locations I had originally chosen. I said I would be willing to pay the extra amount if the driver would pick up my car very close to my home and also deliver right to my Mom's home in Maine, since their current car had gotten very untrustworthy, even for short distances. This would save them and me together, almost 60 miles of driving to meet the truck, plus another driver and vehicle to get each of us to or from those locations. George called the driver, made our offer, and the driver agreed. We had a deal, I signed the contract and sent a scanned copy to George by email, and he provided the contact number of the driver so we could communicate directly as needed. The driver, DR Transport, called me and we arranged for pickup right from my home the next morning by 11AM and delivery right to my Mom's home sometime the following day. WOW. DR Transport's driver and an assistant came at 11am, took pictures and filled out a form noting some minor paint damage on my car (at 15 years old, with over 200,000 miles, it was in good shape for its years, but it wasn't "mint condition") and then they loaded it up on a single vehicle trailer. It was getting individual service all the way to Maine! I rested easy and was confident that AmeriFreight had done their homework and DR Transport would take good care of things. The driver and assistant were super nice guys and comfortable to deal with. They delivered the car to my Mom's home the next day, almost exactly when they had expected to arrive. The car was unloaded and inspected by both parties, payment was made, forms signed and provided to my Mom, and the whole process was finished. I admit that my greatest concerns had to do with letting a car I've trusted for so long be put in the hands of total strangers and go off down the highway. But honestly, by dealing with AmeriFreight, my concerns were alleviated and I rested easy about it. They handled my private information responsibly, put in time searching (TWICE,) located a responsible driver, informed me of everything I would need to do, cautioned me about things I shouldn't do, and didn't just disappear once I had paid my deposit and shipped my car, instead following up after the fact to make sure all was well. And to think, I was seriously thinking of driving all the way to Maine myself and then flying home. I would have lost a few days time and work, probably some sleep, and added another 900 miles on the car, not to mention leaving some family and home responsibilities to others to others during my absence. I give AmeriFreight and DR Transport A+ marks and if I have to ship again, I'll just call AmeriFreight, have them check with DR Transport first, and then just relax and then let them set it up for me. This was WAY easier than I would have thought read more

Ok, So the first thing you need to know is how this business works. There are truckers throughout the US who make regular runs. Depending on how busy they are and the location of your vehicle, THAT ...and only that is what sets your price. There are a ton of brokers who post the opportunity (your request for pickup and delivery). The truckers all scan the same posts and then choose the cars they pickup based on the price you are willing to pay and if it fits their route. One day a truck might go cross country for $1,200, the next week if the same trucker is busy, it might cost you $1,800. The brokers have absolutely no say on what the truckers will take. It is 100% the decision of the trucker. Brokers who offer less prices are just trying to get you locked in and then up the price. If by the unlikely chance there is a truck who is willing to take their lower price, then you possibly would get that rate. That's a dice throw and you don't want to end up with a guy in a pickup truck with a shoddy car trailer hauling your late model luxury car. If not, you will wait as long as it takes for you to get a legit truck to take your offer, or, as they all do, the broker will call you back after a few days and tell you that you have to pay more. So what makes Sam at AmeriFreight better than everyone else?..because she is an honest woman who gave it to me straight from the start. I had plenty of time with this car, so we initially posted the offer relatively cheap. Sam was completely honest with me on how we might get lucky but if we didn't get a quality taker on the price within a few days, we may have to up our offer. Sam was awesome with her communication and was willing to discuss options at any time. After 4 days, we decided to raise our offer slightly. Mind you, she could have come back with a higher number than we ultimately offered and guaranteed her comission but instead she was looking out for my best interest and upped it a little at a time. So after a week we put out a slightly higher number and got a taker within a few days. Mind you, everything is flexible when you are trying to get the best price, so unless you want to pay top dollar, which will pretty much get you your car EXACTLY when you want it, then you have to be flexible. They picked up the car the next day and said the trip from Fresno CA to CT would be around 7 days. Turns out the car was picked up by a local hauler who brought it to Southern CA for the long haul truckers. It sat there for a few days but then a wonderful guy named Steve and his wife picked it up. The dispatcher co-ordinated the pickup and Steve and I talked two days before delivery to schedule an exact pickup location and time. The car ended up taking around 10 days from the initial Fresno, CA pickup point Fairfield, CT drop off, but having good communication made the whole thing go like clockwork. My suggestion is to save yourself a lot of headaches and go with the AmeriFreight company. Be sure to ask for Sam and her team. Tell them you read this review and want the straight story. Then take their advice when they give it to you. FYI, they don't take their commission until your car is scheduled for pickup! Most of the negative reviews in this business are because of the hustle the brokers give you and you always feel like you are being lied to and upsold. This was a great experience. Last, Don't believe any reviews you read other than on Yelp. All of the others are untruthful paid reviews that the companies put up themselves. Check the difference between their reviews and Yelp's and you'll find the truth. And don't pay attention to the cry baby's who don't understand this business and complain about things they didn't ask about or clarify on their own. Jon read more

We moved from Utah to New Hampshire for employment. I was certain that I was not going to drive my family and cars across the country given that I only had a short window between terminating one job and beginning the next. I sought out all methods of having our two cars transported to New Hampshire. Doing web searches, talking with friends and colleagues, I quickly became discouraged. There was no guidance and it seemed that many companies turned out to be frauds. I read that companies were paying to have positive reviews posted, others were fakes and some simply outsourced the job to un-knowledgeable third parties. I became so distraught that I looked into rail transport and other means. However, none of these were available to our destination. I began making calls and receiving quotes from many companies online. I finally stumbled on AmeriFreight via the BBB. I sent them an email and actually received a call from a PERSON, Graham. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He helped me understand the process of auto transport and clearly explained his role in the process. He made no false promises and I felt that I was speaking to a real, honest person. That, along with the reviews I read, made me contract with AmeriFreight. Graham clearly explained to me the different options for shipping my cars: covered or not, closer pick-up times and protection/insurance options. He worked with me on my tight moving schedule and we agreed on a pick-up window. Well in advance to that window, he found me Green Way LLC Transport, who agreed to move our two cars. I have a small SUV and a passenger car. Green Way was on the spot in communication and professionalism. All along the way, Graham from AmeriFreight kept in touch and ensured that my communication and interaction with Green Way was on target. The day prior to pick up, we actually had to change the pick up location by 30 miles. There was no problem in contacting AmeriFreight and Green Way short notice and they agreed to meet us at a new location. The pick up went smooth, professional and was right on time. Along the transport, we kept in touch with the carrier and with AmeriFreight. No issues. Our cars arrived right on the day promised. We actually were not able to pick up the cars on the delivery day and AmeriFreight and the carrier arranged for our cars to be stored for two more days. For pick-up, we were again accommodated beyond the call of duty, having the storage person come out and meet us to hand over our cars two hours after their closing time. In summary, I am simply amazed by the professionalism, honesty and overall accomplishment of AmeriFreight, and Graham specifically. Our cars were dealt with perfectly, we were accommodated beyond the call of duty and there were absolutely no surprises or issues. There was no damage to the cars, delivery was on time, communication was honest and professional. We were always aware where the cars were, could always get with touch with AmeriFreight and the Carrier, and had absolute peace of mind while our cars were under way. Price was very reasonable and right on par with other quotes. Our final price even included two days of storage after arrival on location. I highly recommend AmeriFreight and only wish it would have been easier to find our about them in the first place. I hope that my review will help convince you of using them for your transport needs. I would be happy to answer any questions. read more

AmeriFreight was recommended by a friend who had good luck with them. This was not my case. They put me in contact with Aztrans, my carrier, and the whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. AmeriFreight first tried to tell me that the cost of my shipment would be $100 more than the quote that I received online -- something that my friend also experienced. However, after haggling with them (which I would have preferred NOT to do) they agreed to honor the online quote. Regarding shipping, I was originally told that the car would be picked up on a particular date. However, last minute, that date was moved several days earlier. This wasn't horrible, but it was inconvenient. Then the real problems began. I repeatedly told AmeriFeright that I would not arrive at my destination until later that month. They told me that the carrier would keep my car at their lot and that all I had to do was PAY for a cab to go pick it up. I thought this service was supposed to be easy? Door-to-door? Why should I take the time and pay the additional money to pickup my car 15 miles away? Thus, AmeriFreight agreed that the car could be kept at the carrier's lot ("for free" they said, trying to make me feel privileged) until my date of arrival. Unfortunately, the day I arrived at my destination, I soon found that one of the Aztrans drivers was keeping my car at his HOUSE and that the keys to my car were IN his house. This meant that I could not pickup my car even if I wanted to pay for a cab. Further, the driver was out of town for the week and I would therefore not be able to receive my car until his return. Managing without a car for a week meant that I had several additional expenses which I now had to pay for out of pocket. Both AmeriFreight and Aztrans refused any sort of discount given the late delivery, unprofessional treatment, and additional out of pocket expenses. Finally, after filling up my car with gas for the first time since receiving it, I noticed that the gas flap releasing mechanism was broken (the metal inside was bent, was being used to keep the flap attached to the car, and additional pieces of metal inside the flab were broken off entirely). Since I didn't fill up WITHIN 48 hrs of receiving the car, the insurance coverage that I purchased through AmeriFreight is totally worthless. Overall, a bad experience. I would not do it again. Unprofessional all around. Try your luck elsewhere. read more

In the past five years, I've had cars shipped from the East Coast to the West Coast, and from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California. I never had a very bad experience but a few times there were inconvenient delays without good reason, some surly customer service, and none of the service providers ever stood out a being notably superior to the others. When it came time to select a transport company to ship my car across country to my mother, I wanted to be certain I hired a company with a great reputation for delivering upon promises, providing outstanding customer servie and support, and charging reasonable rates with no hidden fees. After a few research sessions, a few conversations with various providers, and soliciting a handful of quotes, I settled upon AmeriFreight, a company with which I had not worked before. From my initial electronic communications and phone calls with Jessica Ferris, I knew I had made the best choice. She is the consummate professional, direct and honest, and always quite courteous. The quote she sent me was accurate and honored throughout. No hidden or surprise charges here. Throughout the whole experience, she called or wrote to update me and check in on me, connected me with the local driver who was also very courteous, and she ensured things revolved around my schedule, not theirs. Jessica and AmeriFreight knew how important this particular shipment was to me because it is a gift for my mother and I wanted it to arrive on time in exactly the condition I shipped it, and equally important I wanted anyone who contacted my Mom to be polite, helpful, and kind. Jessica ensured all those goals were met. My Mom told me this morning that the car arrived exactly as the driver promised and he was very nice to her. I had sent my Mom over a dozen photos of the car taken the day it was picked up, and she said it's in exactly the same condition. The first estimate I got from Jessica was it will be picked up on either May 6 or 7 and arrive 10 days later. It was picked up on May 6 and arrived on May 10. Jessica sent me a note, too, to let me know it had arrived and to ask if everything was okay. Yes, Jessica, it certainly is! Next time I need to ship a car, and every time after that, I will hire AmeriFreight again and that is due in large part to Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, in all sincerity for taking care of something very important to me. YOU ARE TRULY WONDERFUL!!! read more

I needed to ship my 2015 Honda CR-V from Virginia to California by Jan 6, 2016. In the beginning of Nov 2015, Graham gave me an estimated quote of $830. I found this price was much lower than other auto-shipping company, so I paid the deposit $290 and they started to find the driver for me. Until the middle of December, I still haven't heard anything from Graham and I began to worry if they really could get me a driver before Jan 6, 2016. So I called Graham and he promoised that I would be his top priority. He indeed fulfilled his promise and found a driver for me (CAA transport) within one week after I called him. The driver asked $950 for delivery fee, so now the total cost would be $290 + $950 = $1240, which was much higher than the original estimation ($830) from Graham. I was not sure if this "price suddently jumped" was normal in this business or I was being tricked. Frankly speaking, the price of $1240 actually lied in the range from the quote of other auot-shipping companies ($1200 ~ $1300), so I did not see what kind of advantage I would gain if I kept going with AmeriFreight. However, I was in a hurry to get the car shipped so I still accepted their offer. The pick up date was set to be Dec 25, 2015 and they said the car would arrive in California before Jan 6, 2016. However, I told them in the beginning the car had to be delivered after Jan 6, 2016. Otherwise, I could not get my car in person (my flight was Jan 6, 2016). Fortunately, they checked with CAA transport and CAA transport agreed to hold my car and wait for my arival. The CAA transport did deliver my car on time on Jan 7th, 2016 and finally I felt relieved after getting my car. To conclude, I think AmeriFreight did get the job done in time. However, I do have the following suggestions for them. 1. Avoid "the final price suddently jumping so high compared to the original quote" 2. Pay more attention to the customer's requests in the beginning. Do not let the customer to remind you. 3. Keep interacting with the early-booked customers with emails or phone calls to let them know you did not forget them, especially when the pick up date is approaching. I look forward to seeing AmeriFreight becoming a 5-star rating company and shine in the future! read more

TL, DR: AmeriFreight is awesome, and I will use them forever. So here's the thing: I ship cars that I really care about cross-country every three years. I'm not a collector, nor a dealer, nor a broker. I'm a US Army Soldier with a wife and teenaged daughters. Every two-to-three years, my duty station changes, and we have to get our small fleet of vehicles from one state to another. So I have a lot of experience with car shippers, but, unlike a business that does it professionally, I care passionately about the cars I load on the truck. They're not for some buyer at the destination, they are _my_ cars, and I want them to arrive quickly and in great condition, because I and my family will be driving them. They're like old friends to us. AmeriFreight is, hands-down, the best and most professional car shipper I have retained. Their paperwork is simple and self-explanatory, their prices are reasonable, and they do exactly what they say they will do: move your car quickly and safely from origin to destination. What I really, really love about them, though, and what has made me a customer for life, is their ability to communicate with the customer. AmeriFreight kept me informed at every stage of the transaction. Their e-mails arrived promptly, they kept to their communication schedule (if they told me they'd get back to me the next day, they got back to me the next day), they made sure I knew who I was talking to and why when my case was referred from one employee to another, and, miracle of miracles, when I called them, a real human being answered the phone, demonstrated familiarity with my shipment, and ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. The driver showed up at exactly the right spot, bang on time, and treated my car with respect and care as he unloaded it from the truck. He was scrupulous about the post-shipping inspection, and gave me a receipt without prompting. The entire process went smoothly, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. The next time I ship one of my cars (and there certainly will be a next time, alas), I'm calling AmeriFreight. They're offering me a $50.00 discount to post this review, but I would've done it anyway. With customer service this good, they deserve to prosper. read more

You know how broker's talk your ear off and promise you the world when all you want is a reasonable estimate and whether they will be a good match for your service need? Then I'd recommend calling Sinclair at Amerifreight. I called this company because they were toward the top of the list for long distance car transport. I had the luck of Sinclair picking up when I called. He was friendly and indormative but not overtly so, like those saccharine brokers who coddle you and are sunshine and roses but walk away before the ink has even dried on the contract. We had to ship two cars, but on seperate dates. I explained my situation to him about how the date for shipping my car was flexible but the other vehicle had to be guaranteed on a certain day. He was quick to understand the situation and explained the process from start to finish and once I understood the process, we worked out an arrangement that suited my cars needs and requirements and also took a huge weight off my shoulders. Sinclair went above and beyond to find me the best driver and accommodations I required. After updating me on an offer, I declined and he was intuitive enough to know not to reach out if the offer was not close to my price range. Since we are moving, time is 9f the essence and he did not waste any by calling unnecessarily, and went the extra mile to explain my situation to the driver so they would accommodate my pickup time and date and also got the driver to agree to a lower price. All of this was taken care of and all I had to do was eaign a few documents and have a couple pleasant phone callswith Sinclair. Once he obtained a a reputable driver, she texted me instantly and took things from there. My car arrived on time and in great condition. Sinclair called me occasionally to give me updates on the status of my vehicle, which was very much appreciated,. He calmed me down the first time we spoke and I'm a bit of a control freak so for me to put my trust.in him to handle 95% of the situation, is no easy feat. He was always reassuring when I had questions or concerns. I wish I found him earlier so I didn't have to deal with the stress of pre shipping jitters. Thanks for everything Sinclair, truly. read more

Thank you Jordan, Thank you AmeriFrieght! First, incentive or not to post a review doesn't mean the review has to positive, just honest. I am honestly happy and satisfied with my entire experience working with AmeriFrieght. I had anxiety just thinking about the logistics of getting my car from California to Connecticut. My car is very important to me as it is with most folks. I started surfing the net and became overwhelmed with all the companies that transport vehicles. I asked people I knew to try and get "word of mouth" referrals. Got a few with low BBB ratings. Back to the net. Called around and got some quotes. Some were too low (made me nervous, as it should), some too high. Time was running out for my dead line for my transportation needs. Studied theTransport Review site one last time and decided to call Jordan. Very pleasant to work with. So glad I trust my "gut"! A+ BBB rating. Any negative review was handled. Price was fair. All questions answered. Jordan was very patient, professional and courteous. The gentleman who drove the truck was very nice and professional. Needless to say it was smooth sailing or should I say rolling all the way... They did everything they said they would. The timing, the tracking, the constant communication. I am very happy that I can recommend a good solid transport co. to others. That they will be able to rest assured as I was. read more

We started the car transport process back in May with another company. My dad wanted my son to have my mom's 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. Dad lived in Pennsylvania, we are in Arizona. Being 82 years young, my dad wanted an honest company who stood behind their work, was on time, and showed up when they said they would show. With that said, we contracted with a company to move the car in June. The car was ready June 23, 2014. The business we first contracted with prided itself for its quick turnover (1-7 days, not the industy standard of 7-14 days). I was thrilled. Our quote was affordable (but as I later learned not competitive), so our car sat. Trying to call the company was fruitless; lots of left messages on answering machines. A total lack of communication and how the car transport business works. Totally unprofessional. My father became increasingly frustrated as well waiting on a driver to pick up the car. So with that, I called another company. They were vey nice, and they explained the car transport system to me. It was refreshing. I decided to network through the BBB (Better Business Bureau). AmeriFreight was right up there on their recommended companies. Right from the start, Ali Miller explained the entire process, apologized for other companies nasty business practices, and told me what I needed to do to have AmeriFreight move my vehicle. She posted my quote, got an interested driver (Thanks BEST and Hector!!), coordinated the car move, and kept me posted on every aspect of that move. I knew when the vehicle would be picked up, what my dad needed to do, and when the car might be delivered. Ali helped me contact the driver and the company, and it all ended up great. The car took 6 days to travel from Pennsylvania to Arizona. The driver Hector could not have been nicer to my dad and I. If you want a great experience with a company who care about how they did and what you thought, give AmeriFreight a call. Thank you, thank you Ali Miller. Our family is so very appreciative. read more

My parents moved back to the US from overseas and they needed their vehicle shipped from western NY to Texas. I have never transported a vehicle before and know absolutely nothing about how the industry works. I, like everyone else, submitted a request to a couple sites and was inundated with quotes, phone calls, and texts that ranged from $600 to $3,000. Without knowing much, I jotted down some numbers and called a couple carriers back in the hopes of learning something. I ended up not trusting anyone I spoke to because info was all over the place. I was more confused than when I started. Then I found the Transport Reviews website. I joined, ran a quick search, and decided to make phone calls to the top 5 rated companies. AmeriFreight came in way under everyone else cost wise. I was very skeptical at first because the rate was so darn low, so I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised at how professional it is. It has loads of good information for the novice such as myself. I took a shot, called and got hooked up with Brett. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and emails. I did go ahead and make those other 4 phone calls. Only one other company was as pleasant to deal with, but their rate was $500 more for the exact same service. So, I booked using the J-tracker feeling rather proud of myself. About 5 days later, Brett called and they already had a carrier. The rate was $200 higher than originally quoted, but I was not surprised as it is spelled out clearly in the confirmation email that rates can be re-negotiated depending on the carrier but they will be confirmed prior to pick up. Having said that, even at the higher rate, AmerFreight was STILL cheaper than anyone else by at least $300!!! The vehicle arrived 8 days later in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to use AmerFreight again. Kudos for being a different breed of auto transporter in what is seemingly a dog pile of mutts. read more

Robin L. Classy company moves classic truck! This was my first experience hiring a shipper to move a vehicle. I was very concerned after reading horror stories on the internet about bad shipping companies. I was most certainly concerned since I was shipping a 1971 Chevy C-10 Pick-up in original condition from the West coast to the East coast. After searching Google for a few weeks I settled on Amerifreight for their quick response to my quote request, price, and positive reviews. Jessica was my contact and she answered all questions and responded promptly via phone and email. In fact even one day I sent an email to Jessica and I received an "out of office" message back. I called the office and they said she was out sick that day, but she still responded to my email within a couple of hours. Now that is dedication! Back to moving the truck, I selected the economy package to save money. Jessica stated it may take 5 to 7 days before the truck would be scheduled to be picked up and the truck was picked up on day 7! Even though the Memorial Day holiday was in the middle, the truck was loaded for delivery as promised. I was very pleasantly surprised, when the truck made its journey successfully from San Diego, California to Newark, Delaware in just 4 days. No damage on the truck. The driver, Nazarius from New Empire Brothers called me called various time to keep me up to date of when he would be delivering the truck. Since he was arriving late night, he gave us options of where and when he could deliver the truck. The truck was pretty dirty, but I expected that because I went with the Open Transport. I found out that Nazarius had to move my truck on the transport during the journey and had to jumpstart it, but he did not charge me extra for that. An all-around great experience... I'd use Amerifreight again. read more

It is very important to understand the system that Amerifreight uses prior to shipping with them. Amerifreight does not ship directly, they are merely a middle man service to link you up with direct shippers. This means that they can't have direct control over the quality or timing of the shipping process. They do, however, attempt to do so by ensuring that all shippers are insured (which is good), as I had one back out because they didn't want to produce those documents. The price you get quoted first will likely not be what you pay in the end, especially if you pick a longer timeframe and cheaper option. You are given a couple of options/timeframes or "packages", and the shippers sort of "bid" on them. They likely know they can get more, so expect to pay $100-400 more than the lowest quote. If you pay the highest rate from the getgo, you can probably get a fast shipment, otherwise if you try to save money it may take time and not be on your most desired schedule. That being said, mine took longer and was more expensive than expected. The shipper did not show up on the first day, and arrived a little later than expected for delivery as well. The car, however, was in good shape (it was a classic car, so this was very important to me), and in the end that is what mattered more than the time to me, in this particular instance. If I needed the car faster it would have been more frustrating. The Amerifreight staff seem great and very helpful and responsive. Just understand that you will pay more than your initial quote, there are VERY HIGH credit card fees in addition to that charge, and that Amerifreight doesn't ship it themselves. In summary, their service feels slightly misleading, but in the end work out-- just at a higher price, in my case about $200+$100 credit card fees. read more

I recently relocated from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and my new employer was going to pay for the move. However, the local moving company who was contracted with my employer was unwilling to discount the price for shipping my 2002 Hyundai Elantra. That meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a portion of the move. After putting a large down payment on a new house in Philly, I didn't have the extra cash on hand to do that. So, after reading numerous laudatory reviews of AmeriFreight online, I spoke to Jessica, who gave me a quote of $495 for economy, open-truck shipping. Jessica also explained that there was an option to allow carriers to bid up to $200 more, if time was of the essence, which it was for me. Within an hour of speaking with Jessica, who was very professional and fully explained what to expect with the bidding & shipping process, we had a carrier bid for $650. That was still very acceptable because it was about HALF as much as the original moving company had quoted me. The carrier was IKA Group LLC, and my contact person was a friendly gentleman named Eldari. Both Jessica and Eldari were consistently available by phone, text, and/or email throughout the shipping process. Because the carrier beat me on the way up to Philly, I had to go meet Eldari in Bensalem, PA (15 miles outside of Philly) to pick up my Hyundai in the "yard." The yard was very dusty and dirty, because of high-traffic tractor trailors using dirt roads and dirt parking lots, but my car started fine and did not appear to be damaged during shipping. In sum, if you want to save hundreds of dollars by avoiding the inflated prices of name-brand, contracted movers, then do what I did...CALL JESSICA at AmeriFreight! Phone Direct: 678-608-0557. I have never shipped a car before so I didn't know what to do. I put a request online for quotes and I was immediately inundated with a barrage of quotes. Ameri-Freight was actually one of the first. I decided to check the top shipping companies by Google and according to the BBB, AmeriFreight was in the top 5. So I called them up. I actually needed to ship out the car fairly quickly as I was going to be taking a new job in California within 10 days. AmeriFreight said the earliest would be the 24th with 7-8 days shipping. So, I figured I'd rent a car for a couple days. Well, after submitting my deposit, a couple hours later I received a call about picking up my car on the 21st and that it would be there on the 26th when I arrived. I met the transporter at the local grocery store parking lot, he loaded the car, and it was in LA when I arrived. I plan to use AmeriFreight again when my wife moves to LA in a month. The one thing I was not expecting was that I would need to pay the auto transporter in cash the day of pickup. I thought I would pay the money to AmeriFreight and then they would pay the auto transporter. Nope. To me, this raised red flags. I don't know if that's because of my upbringing in this generation that just uses credit cards all the time or something else. It would have been nice to have been told this initially before I started the payment process. However, I did some more research after the fact and auto transporters do only take cash or money order as standard practice. My worries were eliminated. I ended up paying with a money order. I arrived in LA, picked up my car after some problems with the auto transporter (they gave me the wrong address), and I am now driving my beautiful Orange Challenger around LA. I will use again. read more

This is a review for AmeriFreight and Erica who works there (order No. 1501708008-JC). First I have to say the whole Auto Transport in general is a very "scummy" industry. Too many rip-off brokers saying they will do something for you and end up just stealing your deposit. And the too many transport companies that say they will be there and either cancel on you or not show up at all without notice. Also, any quote you receive is the least amount you will pay and not the most likely amount you will end of paying. So after reading many reviews I decided to go with AmeriFreight. I got my quote (least amount, which AmeriFreight was upfront about) and we were off and running. Erica and AmeriFreight started doing their thing and after telling her the date parameters (pickup & arrival) I needed to work with the fun started. There were a couple of small missteps along the way which were caused by the transport companies having issues, not AmeriFreight, but finally we were able to get everything done on time and the whole pickup & delivery couldn't have gone more smoothly. Erica updated my file with notes, which any of her other co-workers could inform me about when I called and Erica was unavailable. I appreciated that. I ended up paying about $100 more than my least amount original quote and I'm actually glad I did. I'm guessing I ended up with one of the best, most reliable transport companies in the business getting my car from South Florida to North Georgia in less than 24 hours. I ended up paying 180 (credit card) to AmeriFreight after they had the job scheduled and 455 (cash) to the transport company when they showed up with the car. Thanks Erica and AmeriFreight. read more

Journey of myCamery from San Diego to Portland, OR, overall its good. My Car had to move from San Diego to Portland, OR when I contacted Amerifright, Graham told me the fact that they are a brokerage company for vehicle transportation and they link up actual carrier and me for this movement. I was told that there is a carrier available either next day or the 2days from now and the delivery would require a minimum of 3-4 days for 1600 miles distance. As I need car for 2 more days, but I thought the car would be in portland by the time I reach there I have chosen to get my car picked next days and it will be 3 days by the time in portland to pick my car. The car was picked by CSA Auto carrier at 1AM the next day by Garik (driver) we quickly finished the paper work and he said car will be delivered to me in portland in 3-4 days. I reached portland on third days and took a rental car for 2 days just in case if myCamery is delayed. I was contacted Garik after 3day regarding the delivery time and he said he is stuck with some other car delivery and he will be there in 5-6 hrs on 4th day. And I called him on 5th days again and he said he will be there by afternoon that day and I was hopeful I can return my car as I took it for 2days. However the car was delivered to me in the evening at 10PM on 5th day in good shape. It was dusty due to rain as told by Garik but it was in same shape as it was picked. Though I had to pay for my rental car an extra day of rent. I was glad that car reached me in 5days as it is in same condition. So overall I give them a Good rating for this satisfactory service. read more

Very good experience overall. Ali Miller was great to work with. She was friendly and helpful each time I spoke with her on the phone. It took more than 15 days for her to find a carrier but she contacted me within that time and kept me posted. She changed the pick-up location to a larger city nearby which worked because she found a carrier shortly afterwards. It took approximately three weeks. The cost to transport my truck came to more than the original quote but was within the average cost from other quotes that I had received. The truck had to be driven to a location different from the address it was located at. A little inconvenient as I had to have family members coordinate with the carrier and drive the vehicle to where the carrier wanted to meet since I had already left the area. All-in-all the pickup went well. The carrier delivered the truck in six days which was sooner than I had expected. The truck arrived fine, no damage. The only thing to mention was it had oil on the top and right side of the truck. Not sure if it came from the vehicle above it during transport, but thats what it appeared to look like. It took a little scrubbing but I was able to clean it off and the truck looks fine. I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to anyone looking to transport a vehicle. Just keep in mind they are a broker and not the company who actually hauls your vehicle, but they do appear to be selective in the carriers they use. I would definitely use them again if I had to transport another vehicle. read more

I got so lucky. I had no idea where to start as this was our first time having a car shipped cross country. I searched the internet and AmeriFreight's name kept popping up as the best company to use. I read the 5 star reviews and decided to try the company. I couldn't have been any luckier picking AmeriFreight. They were incredibly responsive right from the start. They assigned me a personal consultant and he answered every one of my thousand and one questions. He was very patient and thorough. He informed me of the entire process and helped me plan out the move. Even though we were in different time zones, someone was always available to answer my questions. They gave me an official quote (it was very competitive compared to the 3 others I called) and amazingly the final cost was lower than the quote. We ran into trouble since the car was in a gated community both upon pickup and delivery (I didn't think about the truck not being to get in and out of the gate) but they helped us through every aspect of this snafu. The car arrived without a scratch and sooner than we had expected. We are thrilled with the service and professionalism of this company. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and use them again if we ever need them. I highly recommend that you speak to AmeriFreight! Our order number was 1501599105-XH if you need to verify that we are truly customers. The company followed up with us afterwards to make sure all our needs were met. Very impressive! read more

This company is AWFUL. I would never recommend to anyone. I was quoted $1125 for a trip from NH to GA which was far more than the three other carriers I spoke with. I chose to go with another company that charged me $300 less and was nothing but pleasant. When I explained my situation to them they said this company AmeriFreight is known for price gouging and bad business practice. Shocker. When I told AmeriFreight I was going to use a different company they told to me they would be keeping my $225 deposit even though they were not rendering any services. I explained to them that over a month ago I decided against using them and would be going with a less expensive carrier and was confused as to why they had even posted my vehicle when I was contracted with another carrier. The manager never got on the phone and their customer service rep Samantha Smith hung up on me when I said I would be forced to dispute with my bank. Clearly the sales reps make a commission and are not looking out for the customers best interest, just their own pockets. I have NEVER heard of a company keeping such a large deposit when they have done nothing for you, or explained that this is their business practice. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. My bank has assured me that this will be taken care of but would have been a heck of a lot easier to have had AmeriFreight do right by me and just refund my deposit in the first place. read more
