We had a horrible experience trying to find a reputable transportation company to transport a 17,000 pound truck from Arizona to Oklahoma that we had just purchased. I signed up on a site to get quotes, did not notice sellers DOT number was still visible, which allowed transport companies to look up dot number and obtain companies name and phone number, transport companies started contacting the seller to arrange pick up, outside of the site I was using to get bids, misleading the seller as if they were the hired transport company. This made the process more stressful, and caused confusion with the seller. Quotes I received on the website ranged from $2600-$3300.00 to transport the truck. Pick up window averaged up to 7 days after transport as booked. Each company that responded, I checked their reviews on BBB/google, their business registration on Secretary of State in the state they were located, and checked the operating status on FMCSA site. I was surprised to see horrible reviews on BBB, and some unprofessional responses from the companies and some brokerages/transport companies had no authorization status on FMCSA I happened to come across Amerifreight on google by accident! I checked BBB (4.8 rating), S.O.S (active/in compliance) and FMCSA (authorized brokerage). I was interested in speaking with them; they had the best history by far on BBB, authority on FMCSA. I called and spoke with Lisa Henderson. She was the most informative agent I spoke with, very upfront about what her company does and what to expect during the process. They only use companies with 4.5 star rating, they vet each company before they are assigned. She reassured me that she would be with me through the entire process, from arranging transport, pick up, and delivery. After I signed up with Amerifreight, with in a couple of hours Lisa had found a transport company, that could pick up the truck the following day (12/6/23) eta arrival 12/7/2023 for $1415.00, requiring a $315 deposit at time of booking, and remainder paid to transport company. Due to shady transport companies bothering the seller, Lisa went a step further and arranged for seller to contact transport company to arrange pick up time to ensure the truck was released to the correct company. After seller made contact with transport company set up pick up time at noon on 12/6/2023. I immediately received an update, the driver reached out and introduced himself. When driver showed up to load the truck he called me to confirm last 6 digits of vin to ensure correct truck was being loaded. I inquired about ETA a couple hours later for following day, attempt to arrange for someone to be at the shop, driver responded promptly eta 1-2pm, would let me know better eta in the morning. First thing the next morning I received an update transport would arrive around 2:00pm, which ended up being the time of arrival. Truck was unloaded quickly, no issues, guy was nice, professional, thorough at the time of drop off. Lisa kept her word and checked in randomly to ensure we had no concerns during transport! I'm very pleased with my experience with Amerifreight and transport company. They worked together, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great!

We shipped our car from Michigan to Washington State using Ameri-Freight. (***We initially signed up with Rapid Auto Shipping about 2 weeks before and their Rep. Ed Hunt assured us that the price would not increase from what he quoted. He gave that assurance several times leading up to our pickup date. On the day the car was to be picked up Rapid Auto Shipping tried to extort another $400 out of us saying there was a problem with the initial carrier.) We then contacted Ameri-Freight, spoke with Robyn, and our car was on the carrier that same day! The price was great and Robyn's communication skills were excellent! She's a true professional in her field. The car arrived on-time (5 days) and it was a great experience! (Especially after all the stress with other brokers that preceded our hiring Ameri-Freight. Thanks Robyn!!!

Let me start out I'm not one to give reviews I understand some companies have bad days. This company had a bad month, IT was a experience. They say that you can track your car you cannot track your car you have to call the driver and he never answered or returned V.M u back he doesn't return any of your phone calls your voicemails the company doesn't know where the vehicle is at all during the trip. included my message to MELEAH AND SY MORGAN HE GOES BY BOTH NAMES. If I COULD LEAVE NEGATIVE ZERO I WOULD. If you're in the military do not use this service they will rip you off they will not come through on what they promised. Be prepared to have an extra $1,000 to be comfortable on hand they will lowball you so in the end they will raise it at least $800 so add that to whatever they quoted you it will go up at the last minute on the day before you ship your car you will be stuck with no other choice than to use them that's how they operate please read carefully this whole message I know it's long but again I don't review this needed to be said. As we spoke earlier on the phone Sy communicated in the beginning my car would be picked up on the 2nd and delivered on the 13th all up until the 1st that was the plan later on the 1st after I got off work called Sy to confirm, he told me that it would be pick up on the 6th delivered on the 13th, the car was picked up on the 6th the day that I left, the car should have been in transit at the same time it stayed at a lot in Riverside for about a week, the car is GPS so I saw this until the battery died on the GPS somewhere about Phoenix that would have been on Tuesday. The driver never returned any of my phone calls or my texts I was told that I could call in at any time to check on the whereabouts of my vehicle that didn't happen you guys didn't know you guys had to call the driver who in fact didn't return your phone calls or your text messages or return any of your voicemails that you left him or any of my voicemails that I left him. The car was supposed to be delivered on the 16th I called on the 16th nobody could get a hold of the driver I called on the 17th nobody could get a hold of the driver I was informed on the 17th that the driver had a 48-hour grace period nobody told me that. On the third day, past the 48 hour grace period the driver contacted me told me that he could not deliver the vehicle to my address which was communicated to me by SY that would be not a problem, the driver said meet me at the food Lion 10 miles down the road I was supposed to start work that day was my first day of work with a loss of 224.00.I had to call my boss and let him know that I wouldn't be in because the driver failed to follow his contract. The price initially was supposed to be 1,157 I believe at the last minute the price went up about $600 to about 1,800 and some change it was the last day I couldn't make any other arrangements with any other carriers it would take too long to get the quotes and to book something so I had to pay the extra to get the car shipped Sy knew that. I was starting like I said a new job the car was supposed to be here. I feel like I have been ripped off I feel like I was told what your customer service representative felt I needed to hear at the time to close the deal now hindsight 20/20 I hope you can make this right considering all the things I've just mentioned in this email. I'm a retired veteran and I do not mind going to all who will listen and preaching to never use your company to transport their vehicle Base to Base or anywhere in this country you have a chance to make this right I would appreciate somewhat of compensation for my inconvenience. People should be worried about using this company. I did my research too you guys seemed legit but all your tactics you used in the end says otherwise. Thanks again. Mr. Traylor read more

I had a great experience with AmeriFreight transport. I had a car transported from CA to Ok. The price was decent, customer service was very informative and answered all my questions. They connected me with a great transporter that was in communication with me directly, he was on time for pick up and delivery. The rig looked nice, well taken care of and the driver was friendly and took great care of my car and all the belongings inside. I will definitely use this service again and recommend to anyone needing an auto transporter. read more

Would give one star if I could. In all my history of making big purchases online (including international) I have never been asked by a company to "upload a photo of my credit card front and back to verify I won't charge them back." When asked about the reason why, I got "oh don't worry the email is sent through military grade encryption." If I didn't use a credit card they would accept cash or western union transfer only which in both cases doesn't protect the buyer. In what case does a company have to try so hard to not get charge-backs? They also quoted me two times the amount they initially quoted me, just an unprofessional business all around. read more

Don't use! Unless of course you want to find out 1 day prior to the last period of time in a 4 day window that no carrier is sourced, and the person working your file has left the company. Add to the chaos that AmeriFreight doesn't contact you and let you know about the change of customer service agent until you personally call and ask what the deal is! I understand things happen and employees plans change. If I'm about to pay over $1,000 for a service, I would expect the company to be open and communicate with the customer--not the customer having to dig up information. read more

Great experience! Especially with my main man Cosmo. He was very attentive and kept me updated through the whole process. He found the perfect carrier for me and was always there if I needed him. You definitely won't regret going with Amerifreight, and especially if you're lucky enough to be helped by Cosmo. Did I mention Cosmo was outstanding? read more

Best car shipping experience! I have shipped my car before and AmeriFreight exceeded my expectations. I will 100% be using them again if I need to ship a car. My car was delivered before schedule (woohoo!) and there were no issues. The car was delivered in the same condition it was picked up in. Baylee Ivey was my Customer Service Agent and she was so informative- not only did she contact the carrier when I thought i needed to change my pickup location/ person, but she was sure to follow up and reach out to see how my experience was. You can tell she cares about her clients! Thanks AmeriFreight for making this process so easy! (1502065972-PX) read more

They stopped taking my calls when the rig that had my vehicle on it broke down. Totally irresponsible. Do not expect anything from this company once you give them their cut ($350). Absolutely terrible experience. read more

Millie, at AmeriFreight, helped me figure out the best way to go, as far as, timing and to my budget. She got me a quote, from a trucking company, within 24 hours and the company called the day before pickup and was on time, the next day. The driver was courteous and friendly. My vehicle was delivered ahead of schedule and I could not be happier. Ask about the trucking company that is doing the bidding. Make sure it is one AmeriFreight has had good experience with and recommends. Be safe, buy the additional insurance. The open carrier trailers, cause the vehicles to get pretty dirty, especially during winter so don't be surprised. read more

Contacted Amerifreight and was greeted by Lecia. She explained everything perfectly. I was contacted by the carrier days before I wanted the car picked up. The carrier said he could come 2 days early, so I agreed. The carrier was excellent in communications and showed up on time. The car was delivered 4 days later from Southern California to Northern Washington. The car was delivered to the front door! The driver was courteous and professional. Amerifreight gets 5 stars! All the reviews that I read that helped me decide on them were all true. I will use them again. Thanks for a great experience! read more

Amerifright quoted me less than $1,100 to ship my car from California to Massachusetts. After a week of trying to find a company that would take the job, they came back with a quote of around $1,700 including insurance. This ends up putting them at a higher rate than virtually every other reputable quote I received. Part of the reason for this seems to be that they take a larger cut than most brokers. I did a fair bit of research into different brokers and was impressed at AmeriFreight's ratings online. Then I found out in the contract for listing the car that every customer is required to submit a review. This explains their high marks as most businesses have lower ratings than actual customer perception due to the fact that happy customers are less likely to review than unhappy ones. As such, Amerifreight's stellar reviews are likely over-inflated compared to competitors that do not require all customers to rate them. read more

Complaint Details My vehicle was picked up on on November 28th at 7:20pm. On this date the broker who we were speaking to was Melissa Dossett told us to have the vehicle ready by 3pm that it would be picked up. 3pm came around and we heard nothing for anyone and were trying to contact the company. Hours later after trying to contact the carrier multiple times not sure if there was going to be a pickup. We then received a call from the driver late at night when it was dark. My husband was told to drive the car onto the ramp of this trailer and had to get down off the ramp himself which seemed really risky. Communication up until this point was horrendous. They took our $350 deposit and then just left us in the dark. The remainder $2000 needed to be paid in cash upon drop off of the vehicle. We were told that there was a guarantee our vehicle would be dropped off on the 1st or 2nd of December in Virginia. The pick up was in Redding California to Virginia Beach. On Thursday the 1st we received a notification that the vehicle would be arriving on friday the 2nd and with little regard the company went dark and didn't notify us again until friday saying that the driver was stuck in Nebraska. That didn't make sense if we received an update the day prior that it would arrive tomorrow because thats more than a days travel. When we reached out to Melissa Dossett her response was "Our Job is Done" when we were trying to see how she would make this right. That was the last we heard from her. This company hasn't held to its core values that as a business they care about more than just the car. (Photo attached) We were nothing but a transaction nothing was relational at all. To add to it the driver took our car straight through the tree branches(Photos attached) and scratched the side of the car right in front of us as he pulled away. Desired Outcome/Settlement Desired Settlement: Refund None Provided From the Business on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 To Whom It May Concern, We have reviewed Ms. Vega's complaint, and while she is a point of contact for pick up for one of our customers, we have no contract with her, nor is she our customer. We consider the details of our customers' orders to be of a confidential nature. With this in mind, we are unable to respond to the claims made in this complaint, as it would require going into the contractual details of an order for a separate person. Ms. Vega's complaints are unwarranted, and we kindly ask that you please dismiss them. Should you need any further information, please feel free to contact me directly. Kailee Lanterman Quality Assurance Manager AmeriFreight, Inc. 417 Dividend Dr, D Peachtree City, GA 30269 860-269-6322 k.lanterman@amerifreight.net From the Consumer on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 This contract is under halee Fleming. If you look at the email you sent us in the images on the email it says Ashley Vega as well. Then it has Melissa information/signature at the bottom. So I am not sure why we are acting like I don't exist. I have all the evidence and more. The vehicle that was picked up is Ashley Vegas. Ashley vega signed with the driver and company upon pickup of the vehicle hence the photos and order number. We can either file another complaint through halee Fleming or we can stop acting like Ashley Vegas vehicle wasn't picked up. Halee Fleming will file a complaint if we don't settle this now. She's reached out to Melissa as well as I and this company has poor communication and still hasn't done what they said they would. We can either settle this on this complaint or we will settle it on Halee Fleming's? Seems like you guys are stalling and it's really unprofessional. We will leave a review with all photos on every platform if this is how it's going to be. I will update this review once there is a solution. Pay attention folks! They are known for this! They have a 50/50 track record almost. It's not worth it! Update December 17th: they finally refunded the$315 deposit but our damages far exceed that. They reached out to the driver Anton V. Who doesn't speak English and he said he will not refund. Next will be small claims court. I will keep you updated. read more

Lecia kicked butt and saved me a few hundred dollars! So....I did what everyone does and shopped around. I also made the mistake of posting my request through a website that sells your information to every single transport company. DO NOT DO THAT. I was bombarded with texts and calls for a week straight at all hours of the day. Some brokers would say other people are scamming me and it all just seemed so sleazy. After all the trouble I decided it would be worth a few extra dollars to have a reputable company handle this for me. I am so glad I chose AmeriFreight because once my driver left with my truck, he tried to strong-arm me and tell me it was overweight. This is a super shady tactic these drivers can use because they have your vehicle hostage and you can't really argue with them. I called Lecia right away who handled my work order from the very beginning. She got the driver on the phone with me and mediated the issue of these false weight claims. After an hour the drivers boss/dispatch called Lecia and said they would "waive" the overweight fee because they give them so much business. So I really appreciate Lecia taking my word for it and being trustworthy and understanding. I weighed my truck before I sent it out so there is absolutely no possibility it was over weight unless the guy thought it was a VW Beetle. Thanks Lecia!! read more

In 10/2024 I used them to transport a Honda CR-V from my home in Houston, TX to my son's home in Albuquerque, NM. They quoted me a price of $660. I accepted the price and I received a call same day from Ameri Freight and they said the Car Hauler would pickup the car the next day. In a couple of hours I received a call from the Car Hauler and said he would pick it up the next day at 11am and deliver it to Albuquerque the next day. That's exactly what they did. It was delivered the next day about 2pm NM time. I couldn't believe it was so fast. I just found them online and they were highly rated online. Car Hauler called me the next day for an update when he was two hours out of Albuquerque and told me that he would deliver the car in two hours. Car Hauler charge $660 which was exactly the price they quoted. I would certainly recommend them. 800 mile delivery. Much better than driving 2 long days and spending 2 nights in hotel and flying back home. Very Highly Recommend 5+ Stars. read more

Definitely not a credible company. Their quotes are low balled in order to suck you in and then they wait until the last minute with some ridiculous offer that they are hoping you can't refuse. Dont waste your time or money and go to a more reputable car broker. They might give you a higher quote but at least it's accurate and on time. read more
DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. They are unbelievably unprofessional. I got a quote online and was immediately bombarded with emails, asking me to call them. Great, I was expecting above average customer service when I called. From my experience, I recommend that everyone stay away from them. I am busy with work all week. Today was the only day I had off during their normal business hours, so I tried to call them, over 7 times. I tried calling Whitney Galloway, my agent in the emails I had received, (678 number in attached picture), which always went straight to her voicemail. I'd then call the front desk number included in the emails. The first time I called, the front desk person realized that Whitney was my agent, so she told me she'd check to see if Whitney was available, and after 2 minutes, got back to me and said, she'd transfer me to Whitney now who should pick up. That went straight to voicemail again. When I immediately called the front desk back, they stopped picking up my calls. I then waited an hour or so, then tried calling Whitney again. When I did, I immediately got a text from her (see picture), saying that she was unavailable to take my call at the moment and telling me to text or email and she'd call me back. I waited 5 hours. No call, text, nor email. I then called the front desk and the person told me, Whitney was OFF TODAY and WOULD RETURN TO WORK TOMORROW. Something doesn't add up here. If she were off work, she would have told me so in the text herself. Also, the front desk person in the morning would have also told me that, instead of trying to transfer me to her after checking with her for a few minutes. So I told this front desk person in the evening (either Jesse or Bobby - information I received from calling a different corporate number and talking to another staff tonight) to get me another agent who was currently available to talk to me, because I don't want to work with Whitney anymore. She said, OK let me check...then guess what, she transferred me to Whitney again, and of course, voicemail. I tried calling back immediately to see what's going on, and they deliberately did not pick up the phone (which was why I looked up a different corporate number to call.) Unbelievable. I understand if a business is busy or short-staffed or whatnot, but do not repeatedly lie, transfer me to the person when I had asked for someone else, then many times would not pick up after I immediately called back because they didn't want to come up with an excuse for what had just happened. Can't imagine what their shipping experience would be like, when I couldn't even get a rational, professional person to talk about a simple quote. read more

Samantha is super helpful, responsive, and friendly! She made the experience seamless and was always there to help during the entire process. She even gave me her direct number and made sure all my questions were answered in a timely manner. I didn't need to contact the carrier myself since Samantha took care of everything. Don't use this company. I paid more to have my car picked up on a specific day and they came the next day. Thankfully my sister was available when they came to get the car. Otherwise, I would have had to reschedule my flight and probably pay more for a last minute booking. I asked for only a $200 refund since the service provided was their standard service, but they wouldn't budge even after I file a complaint with the BBB. I had it in writing from the agent that the pick up was for a specific day, I showed it to them and they said the standard language of the contract provided no guarantees. They refused to show me the contract. Go with Montway if you need to ship a vehicle. They warned me about companies making false promises and overcharging, and they were right. read more

First of all, the business of shipping a car is completely stressful and last minute. I believe it is the same no matter which company you use. It is pretty much the wild west and the role of these companies is to make sure the driving companies honor their commitments and contracted price etc. I hopefully will never have to do this again, we will see! I decided to use Amerifreight for my auto transport. Again things were determined very last minute causing a good deal of stress (I think this is the same with all of them). Initially I ran into some issues with the driver trying to charge me extra money on top of the agreed upon price. I am giving them 5 stars because Bonnie Censullo and the management team went to work quickly and made sure the original agreed upon price was honored. Bonnie was excellent! They went above and beyond to make sure my car was delivered safely at the agreed upon price. In the end, the car was safely delivered, the timeframe was met by the drivers, and no extra charges were requested. The drivers were very polite on delivery, which I am assuming was the result of the conversation they had with Amerifreight. Overall, my car was delivered from New Jersey to Phoenix on-time and with no damages, so I am happy! read more
Had an amazing experience. I was so nervous about my cross country move from California to Virginia but everything turned out perfect and the driver was absolutely amazing. So many issues. First, they start you at one price to lure you in, then they say nahh it'll be just a bit more. Then, 300 plus more and you have yourself a driver. Not just any driver, one that doesn't have a BOL, arrives a day late without any communication, and picked up a car that was supposed to be run/start, but without a BoL, no proof of that. The company told me they picked it up one day, the delivery people said they picked it up the following day. All I get are apologies. I don't care how sorry you are. I expect compensation when your company miscommunicates, and hires inept/possibly illegal drivers. I won't tell anyone to use this company. Absolutely terrible experience. read more

We had a good experience with this company. We got a call within the week connecting us with a shipper who was ready to pick up our car the next day. We had good communication with the shipper and picked up the car in good shape. All went well. My only complaint was that the actual cost was several hundred more than estimated cost to ship. We went with this company because we had seen good reviews and the price was better than another company we were considering. Just be cautious of the estimate. read more

Received initial quote, but was shocked when a new quote was 50% higher just two days later. As a first-time customer, this left a bad impression and I will not be doing business with this company read more
If you want to may $500 more than your quote price to have your car delivered 2 days late by a driver who does not communicate, scuffs your car, dirties the interior, and is probably on drugs then book with Amerifreight. I was quoted $800 something to bring my car from TX to CA. Because of the price I signed to have Amerifreight post my car. I was quoted over $1200 total but took the offer anyways. A day before the car is supposed to be picked up, the driver/dispatcher does not reach out to me. I call and text multiple times and finally a dispatcher responds the day my car is scheduled for pickup to tell me that he will be there sometime "this afternoon". The afternoon rolls around, no communication, I have to reach out again to see when he is arriving only to be told that he will actually arrive sometime the next day. The next day rolls around, still not given an accurate range of time. The driver is coming from Houston to Austin in the morning and somehow it takes him until 9PM to pick up my car. The whole day no-one is communicating with me and I have to constantly reach out to the dispatcher and driver to get some kind of information. When he arrives he is unprofessional, in flip flops, it's just a truck with a trailer attached to the back and says my car will be delivered Friday which is in 2 days. Friday rolls around, and when I ask about my car he says it will actually arrive Saturday. Saturday rolls around and I have to again reach out to get an update on my car and I am told that it will arrive by 9am on Sunday. At 9:40AM on Sunday I had no contact from him or the dispatcher-not a call or text. I text him and he says he is outside of my place. I go outside of my place and he is nowhere to be found. He then says he is still on the way. 30 minutes later I call him and he says he is at my place and I tell them that I don't see him and he says that he is at an iHop nearby and will drive my car over. I would have preferred him not to drive my car but I was so fed up at this point. He arrives and the front of my car is scuffed. He says he has "no idea" how that happened. The interior of my car is white and his hands are black with dirt and he had somehow touched and dirtied my front and passenger seats. He was frankly filthy all over and his behavior was extremely unprofessional, and it seemed like he was on drugs. Now I have to deal with filing an insurance claim and having my car fixed. I also have to have the interior cleaned. The tire pressure was also low on all of my tires- this could have been a coincidence but I am hoping that they don't have a leak from his handling of it. I just got more air in the tires and will know in about a week if my tires are ruined. I am also ordering a report for my Tesla to check the exact mileage on my car in the span he had my car because I would not be surprised if delays were caused by him stopping, doing drugs and going on joy rides in my Tesla. read more

At first seemed promising, but the moment you inquire more, the bait and switch becomes apparent and they failed to mention it. I for one have no problem spending money if it's worth it, but when I get a quote go from 800 to 1200 in a day AFTER several phone calls and emails on my part because they failed to contact me back after putting my car up for bid, and had to drop it all. In addition to this, I have a feeling they sell your email and number info because to this day we've been spammed. read more

I didn't have any of the issues that some of the reviewers posted. I spoke to Richard' Roach, my Amerifreight representative, and he negotiated a very fair price competitive with all other companies. The price locked in and never changed. He also managed my entire car transport from the SF Bay Area to Denver. He kept in close communication with the trucking company. When the car was delayed by 48 hours on the delivery side, he made sure that they stepped up and delivered earlier. Richard acted as my agent and made the process seamless for me. Got a quote through AmeriFreight that was competitive for shipping a vehicle from Georgia to California. After about six days or so, they secured a carrier, they then asked me to process a payment to them for $350. Suddenly, the price had jumped by $350. There was no mention of the price changing upward. It was a bait and switch at the last minute. After I complained, the rep explained that the price was increased, but ONLY after I made an issue of it. They tried to slip the pricing through without me noticing. This appears to be their normal business model - provide an unrealistically low quote to win the "job" and then jack it up at the last minute to increase profits. Not a great way to do business. read more

I recently moved from Ohio to Arizona and needed to move my brand new car with me. I wasn't interested in driving it across the country so I decided to look for a transportation service and found AmeriFreight. Sam from dispatch helped me in understanding what I should expect with my shipment. I was very pleased with the moving process. I was kept up-to-date as my vehicle was transported to my final destination.Ovi, my driver, was polite, efficient and had a great sense of humor. I definitely trusted him with the transportation of my most prized possession. I found the price I was quoted to be very competitive and was happy with the end to end process. The next time I need my car moved, I'll be sure to ask AmeriFreight. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. Quoted $1000, charged us $1,400 and then charged us an extra $200 for weight and they were 2 days late. Driver of the car was extremely nasty. Will never use them again. UPDATE ON MY REVIEW: he returned the car to me with the car and engine broken. I have pictures showing the car having no issues before and after when all the lights where on and there was damage to my windshield all the driver would say is it's not my fault. read more

I never used them.. I was given a quote of $870 to ship a car from New Jersey to Florida.. in writing! I called to place the order and was then told $1,300. Apparently this is common in the car shipping industry, as many of the companies are "middlemen/brokers" If it's that common then DON'T give quotes, give a range, and if I call within a few days and the price has changed by 10% or so,no problem, but 50%!!! read more

These people will quote you 1100 and the. Tell you pay 1900 plus pay them 350. Total rip off. The girl Brandy Dejesus actually hung up on me when I asked why the rate was more than twice the quote. They practice the old school bait and switch in hopes your desperate. Do your self a favor and deal with a honest and professional company, not them... wasn't even going to write a review until I woke up to the same quite from them in a new email. I unsubscribed and asked to not deal with ya'll please stop scumbags. read more

Don't even call these people for a quote. They will give you what appears to be a bargain quote, then jack up the prices just as you're about to sign the deal. Here's how it happened to me: - I put in an online quote request to ship my car from New Jersey to California. It came about to about $1100, INCLUDING the broker fee. - When a sales agent (Cosmo Emeott) called me, he insisted that that rate wasn't actually doable because it's "high season" and I should expect to pay about $1500. This was still lower than quotes that I received elsewhere for around $1600, so I moved forward. - A few days later he calls me and tells me he has a carrier and it will cost me about $1500. Great! Sign me up. - Only as he's about to process my credit card and sign the deal does he tell me that the price doesn't include the broker fee, and that it would actually come out to over $1800! - So in the matter of a few days we went from $1100 to $1800+, a 64% increase in price. I canceled the order. Don't waste your time like I did! read more

Scam! Run away! I got a quote from AmeriFreight on May 14, 2021 for $764. I get a call 1 week later, for a "carrier bid" of $1345. This is confusing. Almost DOUBLE the cost of the what I was quoted?! I was told by Jesse Hester that if I'm not in a pinch, I should wait for a lower bid. I waited and the next quote was $100 more at $1445. I asked to speak with a supervisor. A woman named Brady explained that during Covid these carriers weren't making money, so now they are recovering their costs by taking more money from the customer. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she said that he would tell me the same thing, but if I needed to "vent", then I can go ahead and speak with the supervisor, Richard. Really? It doesn't sound like the care at all about the moral issue here of lying to people about the cost. They made more excuses. They explained that the carriers can charge whatever they want. Then, why bother giving people false quotes? These people are thieves. I spoke with Richard and he said he would TRY to get me a carrier for $1, 078 (still more than the $764 that was quoted), but I got a rate that was slightly lower than that elsewhere (guaranteed--no one would have to TRY to get that rate). The other company I found has better relationships with carriers and was able to book directly. No waiting for a "bid". I ended up canceling my order and booking with another company that booked the carrier immediately. They don't use quotes to mislead people. They just tell you what the best carrier rates are, when pickup would be and they booked it. Save yourself time and money by going somewhere else. read more

For people new to long haul car transportation, it's important to understand that AmeriFreight is a broker, not a carrier. In other words... as a broker, they pair you with companies (the carriers) who can ship your car for you for as cheap as possible. The price you pay with them directly is basically your brokerage fee. What you pay the carrier directly is the cost of the service of actually delivering your car to the desired destination. For whatever reason, I didn't fully understand this as I was going through the process. So what I paid AmeriFreight was a 33% fee on top of the delivery costs. Knowing what I know now, I would have done my own research and found reputable carriers who could do the delivery job and book with them directly. If I did, I would've saved $400. My rep was very communicative and diligent. There were times where I felt rushed to act and rushed to pay to secure a spot on a truck that stressed me out. The carrier did a 5-star job on the delivery. I'm giving AmeriFreight 3-stars because they could really do a better job at explaining their business model and pricing structure upfront. This is more of a rating of the company, not towards my rep, who as mentioned was very communicative and diligent. read more

I researched online, as I always do first when entering new territory. As a result, I then called AmeriFreight. Lecia assisted me in understanding what would be involved in shipping my car to my Mom in Maine, who needed a car within the next couple weeks. Lecia answered questions honestly about what would be involved, and I was confident in dealing with AmeriFreight. We confirmed some things by email and finished setting things up for her to search for a truck to transport my car. Lecia called me about a day later and had located a driver, but I was not able to get my car to the pickup location that soon. Lecia understood that and said she would keep looking for the next opportunity. Lecia called me again in a couple more days just to keep in touch and confirm she was still looking for a driver for us. Things had changed some at my end, and I told her there was a chance I wouldn't be shipping my car after all if we ended up buying a car for my Mom from someplace nearby to her. I told Lecia maybe she should put my request on hold until we figured things out. Lecia was very understanding and said to let her know when I wanted to reactivate my request. After several days, we determined my car was still going to be the best way of meeting their needs, so I called Lecia, and she picked up right where we left off and began looking again. The very next evening, on behalf of Lecia, George from AmeriFreight, called me with an offer to ship my car the next morning. The pickup and dropoff locations I had given for each end of the shipment would involve some travel for us but I had figured these would be fairly easy to access with a large truck and trailer. George told me right away that the driver's fee was a little more than their initial estimate of shipping costs, so I needed to decide if I wanted to do it or not. I considered the increase and asked if we could negotiate any closer delivery points to the pickup and dropoff locations I had originally chosen. I said I would be willing to pay the extra amount if the driver would pick up my car very close to my home and also deliver right to my Mom's home in Maine, since their current car had gotten very untrustworthy, even for short distances. This would save them and me together, almost 60 miles of driving to meet the truck, plus another driver and vehicle to get each of us to or from those locations. George called the driver, made our offer, and the driver agreed. We had a deal, I signed the contract and sent a scanned copy to George by email, and he provided the contact number of the driver so we could communicate directly as needed. The driver, DR Transport, called me and we arranged for pickup right from my home the next morning by 11AM and delivery right to my Mom's home sometime the following day. WOW. DR Transport's driver and an assistant came at 11am, took pictures and filled out a form noting some minor paint damage on my car (at 15 years old, with over 200,000 miles, it was in good shape for its years, but it wasn't "mint condition") and then they loaded it up on a single vehicle trailer. It was getting individual service all the way to Maine! I rested easy and was confident that AmeriFreight had done their homework and DR Transport would take good care of things. The driver and assistant were super nice guys and comfortable to deal with. They delivered the car to my Mom's home the next day, almost exactly when they had expected to arrive. The car was unloaded and inspected by both parties, payment was made, forms signed and provided to my Mom, and the whole process was finished. I admit that my greatest concerns had to do with letting a car I've trusted for so long be put in the hands of total strangers and go off down the highway. But honestly, by dealing with AmeriFreight, my concerns were alleviated and I rested easy about it. They handled my private information responsibly, put in time searching (TWICE,) located a responsible driver, informed me of everything I would need to do, cautioned me about things I shouldn't do, and didn't just disappear once I had paid my deposit and shipped my car, instead following up after the fact to make sure all was well. And to think, I was seriously thinking of driving all the way to Maine myself and then flying home. I would have lost a few days time and work, probably some sleep, and added another 900 miles on the car, not to mention leaving some family and home responsibilities to others to others during my absence. I give AmeriFreight and DR Transport A+ marks and if I have to ship again, I'll just call AmeriFreight, have them check with DR Transport first, and then just relax and then let them set it up for me. This was WAY easier than I would have thought read more

Ok, So the first thing you need to know is how this business works. There are truckers throughout the US who make regular runs. Depending on how busy they are and the location of your vehicle, THAT ...and only that is what sets your price. There are a ton of brokers who post the opportunity (your request for pickup and delivery). The truckers all scan the same posts and then choose the cars they pickup based on the price you are willing to pay and if it fits their route. One day a truck might go cross country for $1,200, the next week if the same trucker is busy, it might cost you $1,800. The brokers have absolutely no say on what the truckers will take. It is 100% the decision of the trucker. Brokers who offer less prices are just trying to get you locked in and then up the price. If by the unlikely chance there is a truck who is willing to take their lower price, then you possibly would get that rate. That's a dice throw and you don't want to end up with a guy in a pickup truck with a shoddy car trailer hauling your late model luxury car. If not, you will wait as long as it takes for you to get a legit truck to take your offer, or, as they all do, the broker will call you back after a few days and tell you that you have to pay more. So what makes Sam at AmeriFreight better than everyone else?..because she is an honest woman who gave it to me straight from the start. I had plenty of time with this car, so we initially posted the offer relatively cheap. Sam was completely honest with me on how we might get lucky but if we didn't get a quality taker on the price within a few days, we may have to up our offer. Sam was awesome with her communication and was willing to discuss options at any time. After 4 days, we decided to raise our offer slightly. Mind you, she could have come back with a higher number than we ultimately offered and guaranteed her comission but instead she was looking out for my best interest and upped it a little at a time. So after a week we put out a slightly higher number and got a taker within a few days. Mind you, everything is flexible when you are trying to get the best price, so unless you want to pay top dollar, which will pretty much get you your car EXACTLY when you want it, then you have to be flexible. They picked up the car the next day and said the trip from Fresno CA to CT would be around 7 days. Turns out the car was picked up by a local hauler who brought it to Southern CA for the long haul truckers. It sat there for a few days but then a wonderful guy named Steve and his wife picked it up. The dispatcher co-ordinated the pickup and Steve and I talked two days before delivery to schedule an exact pickup location and time. The car ended up taking around 10 days from the initial Fresno, CA pickup point Fairfield, CT drop off, but having good communication made the whole thing go like clockwork. My suggestion is to save yourself a lot of headaches and go with the AmeriFreight company. Be sure to ask for Sam and her team. Tell them you read this review and want the straight story. Then take their advice when they give it to you. FYI, they don't take their commission until your car is scheduled for pickup! Most of the negative reviews in this business are because of the hustle the brokers give you and you always feel like you are being lied to and upsold. This was a great experience. Last, Don't believe any reviews you read other than on Yelp. All of the others are untruthful paid reviews that the companies put up themselves. Check the difference between their reviews and Yelp's and you'll find the truth. And don't pay attention to the cry baby's who don't understand this business and complain about things they didn't ask about or clarify on their own. Jon read more

We moved from Utah to New Hampshire for employment. I was certain that I was not going to drive my family and cars across the country given that I only had a short window between terminating one job and beginning the next. I sought out all methods of having our two cars transported to New Hampshire. Doing web searches, talking with friends and colleagues, I quickly became discouraged. There was no guidance and it seemed that many companies turned out to be frauds. I read that companies were paying to have positive reviews posted, others were fakes and some simply outsourced the job to un-knowledgeable third parties. I became so distraught that I looked into rail transport and other means. However, none of these were available to our destination. I began making calls and receiving quotes from many companies online. I finally stumbled on AmeriFreight via the BBB. I sent them an email and actually received a call from a PERSON, Graham. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He helped me understand the process of auto transport and clearly explained his role in the process. He made no false promises and I felt that I was speaking to a real, honest person. That, along with the reviews I read, made me contract with AmeriFreight. Graham clearly explained to me the different options for shipping my cars: covered or not, closer pick-up times and protection/insurance options. He worked with me on my tight moving schedule and we agreed on a pick-up window. Well in advance to that window, he found me Green Way LLC Transport, who agreed to move our two cars. I have a small SUV and a passenger car. Green Way was on the spot in communication and professionalism. All along the way, Graham from AmeriFreight kept in touch and ensured that my communication and interaction with Green Way was on target. The day prior to pick up, we actually had to change the pick up location by 30 miles. There was no problem in contacting AmeriFreight and Green Way short notice and they agreed to meet us at a new location. The pick up went smooth, professional and was right on time. Along the transport, we kept in touch with the carrier and with AmeriFreight. No issues. Our cars arrived right on the day promised. We actually were not able to pick up the cars on the delivery day and AmeriFreight and the carrier arranged for our cars to be stored for two more days. For pick-up, we were again accommodated beyond the call of duty, having the storage person come out and meet us to hand over our cars two hours after their closing time. In summary, I am simply amazed by the professionalism, honesty and overall accomplishment of AmeriFreight, and Graham specifically. Our cars were dealt with perfectly, we were accommodated beyond the call of duty and there were absolutely no surprises or issues. There was no damage to the cars, delivery was on time, communication was honest and professional. We were always aware where the cars were, could always get with touch with AmeriFreight and the Carrier, and had absolute peace of mind while our cars were under way. Price was very reasonable and right on par with other quotes. Our final price even included two days of storage after arrival on location. I highly recommend AmeriFreight and only wish it would have been easier to find our about them in the first place. I hope that my review will help convince you of using them for your transport needs. I would be happy to answer any questions. read more

AmeriFreight was recommended by a friend who had good luck with them. This was not my case. They put me in contact with Aztrans, my carrier, and the whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. AmeriFreight first tried to tell me that the cost of my shipment would be $100 more than the quote that I received online -- something that my friend also experienced. However, after haggling with them (which I would have preferred NOT to do) they agreed to honor the online quote. Regarding shipping, I was originally told that the car would be picked up on a particular date. However, last minute, that date was moved several days earlier. This wasn't horrible, but it was inconvenient. Then the real problems began. I repeatedly told AmeriFeright that I would not arrive at my destination until later that month. They told me that the carrier would keep my car at their lot and that all I had to do was PAY for a cab to go pick it up. I thought this service was supposed to be easy? Door-to-door? Why should I take the time and pay the additional money to pickup my car 15 miles away? Thus, AmeriFreight agreed that the car could be kept at the carrier's lot ("for free" they said, trying to make me feel privileged) until my date of arrival. Unfortunately, the day I arrived at my destination, I soon found that one of the Aztrans drivers was keeping my car at his HOUSE and that the keys to my car were IN his house. This meant that I could not pickup my car even if I wanted to pay for a cab. Further, the driver was out of town for the week and I would therefore not be able to receive my car until his return. Managing without a car for a week meant that I had several additional expenses which I now had to pay for out of pocket. Both AmeriFreight and Aztrans refused any sort of discount given the late delivery, unprofessional treatment, and additional out of pocket expenses. Finally, after filling up my car with gas for the first time since receiving it, I noticed that the gas flap releasing mechanism was broken (the metal inside was bent, was being used to keep the flap attached to the car, and additional pieces of metal inside the flab were broken off entirely). Since I didn't fill up WITHIN 48 hrs of receiving the car, the insurance coverage that I purchased through AmeriFreight is totally worthless. Overall, a bad experience. I would not do it again. Unprofessional all around. Try your luck elsewhere. read more

In the past five years, I've had cars shipped from the East Coast to the West Coast, and from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California. I never had a very bad experience but a few times there were inconvenient delays without good reason, some surly customer service, and none of the service providers ever stood out a being notably superior to the others. When it came time to select a transport company to ship my car across country to my mother, I wanted to be certain I hired a company with a great reputation for delivering upon promises, providing outstanding customer servie and support, and charging reasonable rates with no hidden fees. After a few research sessions, a few conversations with various providers, and soliciting a handful of quotes, I settled upon AmeriFreight, a company with which I had not worked before. From my initial electronic communications and phone calls with Jessica Ferris, I knew I had made the best choice. She is the consummate professional, direct and honest, and always quite courteous. The quote she sent me was accurate and honored throughout. No hidden or surprise charges here. Throughout the whole experience, she called or wrote to update me and check in on me, connected me with the local driver who was also very courteous, and she ensured things revolved around my schedule, not theirs. Jessica and AmeriFreight knew how important this particular shipment was to me because it is a gift for my mother and I wanted it to arrive on time in exactly the condition I shipped it, and equally important I wanted anyone who contacted my Mom to be polite, helpful, and kind. Jessica ensured all those goals were met. My Mom told me this morning that the car arrived exactly as the driver promised and he was very nice to her. I had sent my Mom over a dozen photos of the car taken the day it was picked up, and she said it's in exactly the same condition. The first estimate I got from Jessica was it will be picked up on either May 6 or 7 and arrive 10 days later. It was picked up on May 6 and arrived on May 10. Jessica sent me a note, too, to let me know it had arrived and to ask if everything was okay. Yes, Jessica, it certainly is! Next time I need to ship a car, and every time after that, I will hire AmeriFreight again and that is due in large part to Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, in all sincerity for taking care of something very important to me. YOU ARE TRULY WONDERFUL!!! read more

I needed to ship my 2015 Honda CR-V from Virginia to California by Jan 6, 2016. In the beginning of Nov 2015, Graham gave me an estimated quote of $830. I found this price was much lower than other auto-shipping company, so I paid the deposit $290 and they started to find the driver for me. Until the middle of December, I still haven't heard anything from Graham and I began to worry if they really could get me a driver before Jan 6, 2016. So I called Graham and he promoised that I would be his top priority. He indeed fulfilled his promise and found a driver for me (CAA transport) within one week after I called him. The driver asked $950 for delivery fee, so now the total cost would be $290 + $950 = $1240, which was much higher than the original estimation ($830) from Graham. I was not sure if this "price suddently jumped" was normal in this business or I was being tricked. Frankly speaking, the price of $1240 actually lied in the range from the quote of other auot-shipping companies ($1200 ~ $1300), so I did not see what kind of advantage I would gain if I kept going with AmeriFreight. However, I was in a hurry to get the car shipped so I still accepted their offer. The pick up date was set to be Dec 25, 2015 and they said the car would arrive in California before Jan 6, 2016. However, I told them in the beginning the car had to be delivered after Jan 6, 2016. Otherwise, I could not get my car in person (my flight was Jan 6, 2016). Fortunately, they checked with CAA transport and CAA transport agreed to hold my car and wait for my arival. The CAA transport did deliver my car on time on Jan 7th, 2016 and finally I felt relieved after getting my car. To conclude, I think AmeriFreight did get the job done in time. However, I do have the following suggestions for them. 1. Avoid "the final price suddently jumping so high compared to the original quote" 2. Pay more attention to the customer's requests in the beginning. Do not let the customer to remind you. 3. Keep interacting with the early-booked customers with emails or phone calls to let them know you did not forget them, especially when the pick up date is approaching. I look forward to seeing AmeriFreight becoming a 5-star rating company and shine in the future! read more

TL, DR: AmeriFreight is awesome, and I will use them forever. So here's the thing: I ship cars that I really care about cross-country every three years. I'm not a collector, nor a dealer, nor a broker. I'm a US Army Soldier with a wife and teenaged daughters. Every two-to-three years, my duty station changes, and we have to get our small fleet of vehicles from one state to another. So I have a lot of experience with car shippers, but, unlike a business that does it professionally, I care passionately about the cars I load on the truck. They're not for some buyer at the destination, they are _my_ cars, and I want them to arrive quickly and in great condition, because I and my family will be driving them. They're like old friends to us. AmeriFreight is, hands-down, the best and most professional car shipper I have retained. Their paperwork is simple and self-explanatory, their prices are reasonable, and they do exactly what they say they will do: move your car quickly and safely from origin to destination. What I really, really love about them, though, and what has made me a customer for life, is their ability to communicate with the customer. AmeriFreight kept me informed at every stage of the transaction. Their e-mails arrived promptly, they kept to their communication schedule (if they told me they'd get back to me the next day, they got back to me the next day), they made sure I knew who I was talking to and why when my case was referred from one employee to another, and, miracle of miracles, when I called them, a real human being answered the phone, demonstrated familiarity with my shipment, and ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. The driver showed up at exactly the right spot, bang on time, and treated my car with respect and care as he unloaded it from the truck. He was scrupulous about the post-shipping inspection, and gave me a receipt without prompting. The entire process went smoothly, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. The next time I ship one of my cars (and there certainly will be a next time, alas), I'm calling AmeriFreight. They're offering me a $50.00 discount to post this review, but I would've done it anyway. With customer service this good, they deserve to prosper. read more

You know how broker's talk your ear off and promise you the world when all you want is a reasonable estimate and whether they will be a good match for your service need? Then I'd recommend calling Sinclair at Amerifreight. I called this company because they were toward the top of the list for long distance car transport. I had the luck of Sinclair picking up when I called. He was friendly and indormative but not overtly so, like those saccharine brokers who coddle you and are sunshine and roses but walk away before the ink has even dried on the contract. We had to ship two cars, but on seperate dates. I explained my situation to him about how the date for shipping my car was flexible but the other vehicle had to be guaranteed on a certain day. He was quick to understand the situation and explained the process from start to finish and once I understood the process, we worked out an arrangement that suited my cars needs and requirements and also took a huge weight off my shoulders. Sinclair went above and beyond to find me the best driver and accommodations I required. After updating me on an offer, I declined and he was intuitive enough to know not to reach out if the offer was not close to my price range. Since we are moving, time is 9f the essence and he did not waste any by calling unnecessarily, and went the extra mile to explain my situation to the driver so they would accommodate my pickup time and date and also got the driver to agree to a lower price. All of this was taken care of and all I had to do was eaign a few documents and have a couple pleasant phone callswith Sinclair. Once he obtained a a reputable driver, she texted me instantly and took things from there. My car arrived on time and in great condition. Sinclair called me occasionally to give me updates on the status of my vehicle, which was very much appreciated,. He calmed me down the first time we spoke and I'm a bit of a control freak so for me to put my trust.in him to handle 95% of the situation, is no easy feat. He was always reassuring when I had questions or concerns. I wish I found him earlier so I didn't have to deal with the stress of pre shipping jitters. Thanks for everything Sinclair, truly. read more

Thank you Jordan, Thank you AmeriFrieght! First, incentive or not to post a review doesn't mean the review has to positive, just honest. I am honestly happy and satisfied with my entire experience working with AmeriFrieght. I had anxiety just thinking about the logistics of getting my car from California to Connecticut. My car is very important to me as it is with most folks. I started surfing the net and became overwhelmed with all the companies that transport vehicles. I asked people I knew to try and get "word of mouth" referrals. Got a few with low BBB ratings. Back to the net. Called around and got some quotes. Some were too low (made me nervous, as it should), some too high. Time was running out for my dead line for my transportation needs. Studied theTransport Review site one last time and decided to call Jordan. Very pleasant to work with. So glad I trust my "gut"! A+ BBB rating. Any negative review was handled. Price was fair. All questions answered. Jordan was very patient, professional and courteous. The gentleman who drove the truck was very nice and professional. Needless to say it was smooth sailing or should I say rolling all the way... They did everything they said they would. The timing, the tracking, the constant communication. I am very happy that I can recommend a good solid transport co. to others. That they will be able to rest assured as I was. read more

We started the car transport process back in May with another company. My dad wanted my son to have my mom's 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. Dad lived in Pennsylvania, we are in Arizona. Being 82 years young, my dad wanted an honest company who stood behind their work, was on time, and showed up when they said they would show. With that said, we contracted with a company to move the car in June. The car was ready June 23, 2014. The business we first contracted with prided itself for its quick turnover (1-7 days, not the industy standard of 7-14 days). I was thrilled. Our quote was affordable (but as I later learned not competitive), so our car sat. Trying to call the company was fruitless; lots of left messages on answering machines. A total lack of communication and how the car transport business works. Totally unprofessional. My father became increasingly frustrated as well waiting on a driver to pick up the car. So with that, I called another company. They were vey nice, and they explained the car transport system to me. It was refreshing. I decided to network through the BBB (Better Business Bureau). AmeriFreight was right up there on their recommended companies. Right from the start, Ali Miller explained the entire process, apologized for other companies nasty business practices, and told me what I needed to do to have AmeriFreight move my vehicle. She posted my quote, got an interested driver (Thanks BEST and Hector!!), coordinated the car move, and kept me posted on every aspect of that move. I knew when the vehicle would be picked up, what my dad needed to do, and when the car might be delivered. Ali helped me contact the driver and the company, and it all ended up great. The car took 6 days to travel from Pennsylvania to Arizona. The driver Hector could not have been nicer to my dad and I. If you want a great experience with a company who care about how they did and what you thought, give AmeriFreight a call. Thank you, thank you Ali Miller. Our family is so very appreciative. read more

My parents moved back to the US from overseas and they needed their vehicle shipped from western NY to Texas. I have never transported a vehicle before and know absolutely nothing about how the industry works. I, like everyone else, submitted a request to a couple sites and was inundated with quotes, phone calls, and texts that ranged from $600 to $3,000. Without knowing much, I jotted down some numbers and called a couple carriers back in the hopes of learning something. I ended up not trusting anyone I spoke to because info was all over the place. I was more confused than when I started. Then I found the Transport Reviews website. I joined, ran a quick search, and decided to make phone calls to the top 5 rated companies. AmeriFreight came in way under everyone else cost wise. I was very skeptical at first because the rate was so darn low, so I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised at how professional it is. It has loads of good information for the novice such as myself. I took a shot, called and got hooked up with Brett. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and emails. I did go ahead and make those other 4 phone calls. Only one other company was as pleasant to deal with, but their rate was $500 more for the exact same service. So, I booked using the J-tracker feeling rather proud of myself. About 5 days later, Brett called and they already had a carrier. The rate was $200 higher than originally quoted, but I was not surprised as it is spelled out clearly in the confirmation email that rates can be re-negotiated depending on the carrier but they will be confirmed prior to pick up. Having said that, even at the higher rate, AmerFreight was STILL cheaper than anyone else by at least $300!!! The vehicle arrived 8 days later in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to use AmerFreight again. Kudos for being a different breed of auto transporter in what is seemingly a dog pile of mutts. read more

Robin L. Classy company moves classic truck! This was my first experience hiring a shipper to move a vehicle. I was very concerned after reading horror stories on the internet about bad shipping companies. I was most certainly concerned since I was shipping a 1971 Chevy C-10 Pick-up in original condition from the West coast to the East coast. After searching Google for a few weeks I settled on Amerifreight for their quick response to my quote request, price, and positive reviews. Jessica was my contact and she answered all questions and responded promptly via phone and email. In fact even one day I sent an email to Jessica and I received an "out of office" message back. I called the office and they said she was out sick that day, but she still responded to my email within a couple of hours. Now that is dedication! Back to moving the truck, I selected the economy package to save money. Jessica stated it may take 5 to 7 days before the truck would be scheduled to be picked up and the truck was picked up on day 7! Even though the Memorial Day holiday was in the middle, the truck was loaded for delivery as promised. I was very pleasantly surprised, when the truck made its journey successfully from San Diego, California to Newark, Delaware in just 4 days. No damage on the truck. The driver, Nazarius from New Empire Brothers called me called various time to keep me up to date of when he would be delivering the truck. Since he was arriving late night, he gave us options of where and when he could deliver the truck. The truck was pretty dirty, but I expected that because I went with the Open Transport. I found out that Nazarius had to move my truck on the transport during the journey and had to jumpstart it, but he did not charge me extra for that. An all-around great experience... I'd use Amerifreight again. read more

It is very important to understand the system that Amerifreight uses prior to shipping with them. Amerifreight does not ship directly, they are merely a middle man service to link you up with direct shippers. This means that they can't have direct control over the quality or timing of the shipping process. They do, however, attempt to do so by ensuring that all shippers are insured (which is good), as I had one back out because they didn't want to produce those documents. The price you get quoted first will likely not be what you pay in the end, especially if you pick a longer timeframe and cheaper option. You are given a couple of options/timeframes or "packages", and the shippers sort of "bid" on them. They likely know they can get more, so expect to pay $100-400 more than the lowest quote. If you pay the highest rate from the getgo, you can probably get a fast shipment, otherwise if you try to save money it may take time and not be on your most desired schedule. That being said, mine took longer and was more expensive than expected. The shipper did not show up on the first day, and arrived a little later than expected for delivery as well. The car, however, was in good shape (it was a classic car, so this was very important to me), and in the end that is what mattered more than the time to me, in this particular instance. If I needed the car faster it would have been more frustrating. The Amerifreight staff seem great and very helpful and responsive. Just understand that you will pay more than your initial quote, there are VERY HIGH credit card fees in addition to that charge, and that Amerifreight doesn't ship it themselves. In summary, their service feels slightly misleading, but in the end work out-- just at a higher price, in my case about $200+$100 credit card fees. read more

I recently relocated from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and my new employer was going to pay for the move. However, the local moving company who was contracted with my employer was unwilling to discount the price for shipping my 2002 Hyundai Elantra. That meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a portion of the move. After putting a large down payment on a new house in Philly, I didn't have the extra cash on hand to do that. So, after reading numerous laudatory reviews of AmeriFreight online, I spoke to Jessica, who gave me a quote of $495 for economy, open-truck shipping. Jessica also explained that there was an option to allow carriers to bid up to $200 more, if time was of the essence, which it was for me. Within an hour of speaking with Jessica, who was very professional and fully explained what to expect with the bidding & shipping process, we had a carrier bid for $650. That was still very acceptable because it was about HALF as much as the original moving company had quoted me. The carrier was IKA Group LLC, and my contact person was a friendly gentleman named Eldari. Both Jessica and Eldari were consistently available by phone, text, and/or email throughout the shipping process. Because the carrier beat me on the way up to Philly, I had to go meet Eldari in Bensalem, PA (15 miles outside of Philly) to pick up my Hyundai in the "yard." The yard was very dusty and dirty, because of high-traffic tractor trailors using dirt roads and dirt parking lots, but my car started fine and did not appear to be damaged during shipping. In sum, if you want to save hundreds of dollars by avoiding the inflated prices of name-brand, contracted movers, then do what I did...CALL JESSICA at AmeriFreight! Phone Direct: 678-608-0557. I have never shipped a car before so I didn't know what to do. I put a request online for quotes and I was immediately inundated with a barrage of quotes. Ameri-Freight was actually one of the first. I decided to check the top shipping companies by Google and according to the BBB, AmeriFreight was in the top 5. So I called them up. I actually needed to ship out the car fairly quickly as I was going to be taking a new job in California within 10 days. AmeriFreight said the earliest would be the 24th with 7-8 days shipping. So, I figured I'd rent a car for a couple days. Well, after submitting my deposit, a couple hours later I received a call about picking up my car on the 21st and that it would be there on the 26th when I arrived. I met the transporter at the local grocery store parking lot, he loaded the car, and it was in LA when I arrived. I plan to use AmeriFreight again when my wife moves to LA in a month. The one thing I was not expecting was that I would need to pay the auto transporter in cash the day of pickup. I thought I would pay the money to AmeriFreight and then they would pay the auto transporter. Nope. To me, this raised red flags. I don't know if that's because of my upbringing in this generation that just uses credit cards all the time or something else. It would have been nice to have been told this initially before I started the payment process. However, I did some more research after the fact and auto transporters do only take cash or money order as standard practice. My worries were eliminated. I ended up paying with a money order. I arrived in LA, picked up my car after some problems with the auto transporter (they gave me the wrong address), and I am now driving my beautiful Orange Challenger around LA. I will use again. read more

This is a review for AmeriFreight and Erica who works there (order No. 1501708008-JC). First I have to say the whole Auto Transport in general is a very "scummy" industry. Too many rip-off brokers saying they will do something for you and end up just stealing your deposit. And the too many transport companies that say they will be there and either cancel on you or not show up at all without notice. Also, any quote you receive is the least amount you will pay and not the most likely amount you will end of paying. So after reading many reviews I decided to go with AmeriFreight. I got my quote (least amount, which AmeriFreight was upfront about) and we were off and running. Erica and AmeriFreight started doing their thing and after telling her the date parameters (pickup & arrival) I needed to work with the fun started. There were a couple of small missteps along the way which were caused by the transport companies having issues, not AmeriFreight, but finally we were able to get everything done on time and the whole pickup & delivery couldn't have gone more smoothly. Erica updated my file with notes, which any of her other co-workers could inform me about when I called and Erica was unavailable. I appreciated that. I ended up paying about $100 more than my least amount original quote and I'm actually glad I did. I'm guessing I ended up with one of the best, most reliable transport companies in the business getting my car from South Florida to North Georgia in less than 24 hours. I ended up paying 180 (credit card) to AmeriFreight after they had the job scheduled and 455 (cash) to the transport company when they showed up with the car. Thanks Erica and AmeriFreight. read more

Journey of myCamery from San Diego to Portland, OR, overall its good. My Car had to move from San Diego to Portland, OR when I contacted Amerifright, Graham told me the fact that they are a brokerage company for vehicle transportation and they link up actual carrier and me for this movement. I was told that there is a carrier available either next day or the 2days from now and the delivery would require a minimum of 3-4 days for 1600 miles distance. As I need car for 2 more days, but I thought the car would be in portland by the time I reach there I have chosen to get my car picked next days and it will be 3 days by the time in portland to pick my car. The car was picked by CSA Auto carrier at 1AM the next day by Garik (driver) we quickly finished the paper work and he said car will be delivered to me in portland in 3-4 days. I reached portland on third days and took a rental car for 2 days just in case if myCamery is delayed. I was contacted Garik after 3day regarding the delivery time and he said he is stuck with some other car delivery and he will be there in 5-6 hrs on 4th day. And I called him on 5th days again and he said he will be there by afternoon that day and I was hopeful I can return my car as I took it for 2days. However the car was delivered to me in the evening at 10PM on 5th day in good shape. It was dusty due to rain as told by Garik but it was in same shape as it was picked. Though I had to pay for my rental car an extra day of rent. I was glad that car reached me in 5days as it is in same condition. So overall I give them a Good rating for this satisfactory service. read more

Very good experience overall. Ali Miller was great to work with. She was friendly and helpful each time I spoke with her on the phone. It took more than 15 days for her to find a carrier but she contacted me within that time and kept me posted. She changed the pick-up location to a larger city nearby which worked because she found a carrier shortly afterwards. It took approximately three weeks. The cost to transport my truck came to more than the original quote but was within the average cost from other quotes that I had received. The truck had to be driven to a location different from the address it was located at. A little inconvenient as I had to have family members coordinate with the carrier and drive the vehicle to where the carrier wanted to meet since I had already left the area. All-in-all the pickup went well. The carrier delivered the truck in six days which was sooner than I had expected. The truck arrived fine, no damage. The only thing to mention was it had oil on the top and right side of the truck. Not sure if it came from the vehicle above it during transport, but thats what it appeared to look like. It took a little scrubbing but I was able to clean it off and the truck looks fine. I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to anyone looking to transport a vehicle. Just keep in mind they are a broker and not the company who actually hauls your vehicle, but they do appear to be selective in the carriers they use. I would definitely use them again if I had to transport another vehicle. read more

I got so lucky. I had no idea where to start as this was our first time having a car shipped cross country. I searched the internet and AmeriFreight's name kept popping up as the best company to use. I read the 5 star reviews and decided to try the company. I couldn't have been any luckier picking AmeriFreight. They were incredibly responsive right from the start. They assigned me a personal consultant and he answered every one of my thousand and one questions. He was very patient and thorough. He informed me of the entire process and helped me plan out the move. Even though we were in different time zones, someone was always available to answer my questions. They gave me an official quote (it was very competitive compared to the 3 others I called) and amazingly the final cost was lower than the quote. We ran into trouble since the car was in a gated community both upon pickup and delivery (I didn't think about the truck not being to get in and out of the gate) but they helped us through every aspect of this snafu. The car arrived without a scratch and sooner than we had expected. We are thrilled with the service and professionalism of this company. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and use them again if we ever need them. I highly recommend that you speak to AmeriFreight! Our order number was 1501599105-XH if you need to verify that we are truly customers. The company followed up with us afterwards to make sure all our needs were met. Very impressive! read more

This company is AWFUL. I would never recommend to anyone. I was quoted $1125 for a trip from NH to GA which was far more than the three other carriers I spoke with. I chose to go with another company that charged me $300 less and was nothing but pleasant. When I explained my situation to them they said this company AmeriFreight is known for price gouging and bad business practice. Shocker. When I told AmeriFreight I was going to use a different company they told to me they would be keeping my $225 deposit even though they were not rendering any services. I explained to them that over a month ago I decided against using them and would be going with a less expensive carrier and was confused as to why they had even posted my vehicle when I was contracted with another carrier. The manager never got on the phone and their customer service rep Samantha Smith hung up on me when I said I would be forced to dispute with my bank. Clearly the sales reps make a commission and are not looking out for the customers best interest, just their own pockets. I have NEVER heard of a company keeping such a large deposit when they have done nothing for you, or explained that this is their business practice. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. My bank has assured me that this will be taken care of but would have been a heck of a lot easier to have had AmeriFreight do right by me and just refund my deposit in the first place. read more
