We arranged to have our cars moved across the country--reserved more than a month in advance and locked in a price. So far so good. Things started to get sketchy when we contacted the driver the day that he was supposed to have picked up the cars, and he said that he would not be able to be there on the previously arranged day. We contacted Patrick (the broker at AAT) and he promised us a pickup a couple of days later--we were ok with this as long as the timing did not interfere with our flight out. That day came and we were told that the pickup would come by noon, then 3 pm, then 8:30 pm, and then we had to wait until the next morning. Time was running out, and we asked to speak with the manager, who claimed he tried to call us, but we never received that call. We then waited till the following morning--again, we waited till 10 am, then noon, then 3 pm, and then we were finally connected with a driver, who we were able to track and who finally arrived at 9 pm that night. By that time, we were swindled into paying twice what we were quoted, and the broker asked us to pay him several hundred dollars more--directly, as he claimed he had to pay the driver out of his own pocket. I rated two stars because we did end up getting a very competent driver, our cars were delivered ahead of the predicted date (the delivery driver appeared to be legit as well), and it appeared that Patrick went out of his way to get our cars picked up at the very last minute (our flight was the next day), despite the fact that we reserved the service more than a month in advance. The stress that we endured as a result of what appeared to be a very shady operation was inexcusable, as well as the repeated requests to pay them more money. Despite the outcome, the overall experience with this company was not good--they did not instill confidence. If you need reliable car transport, there are plenty of other companies who probably would instill more confidence--based on our experience with the front end office, I'd recommend avoiding this operation. read more

BEWARE! Bait and switch!! Deceptive pricing!!! BEWARE,BEWARE, BEWARE. I was quoted $400 from IN to TX and signed an order invoice and put $150 reservation deposit down. For a week I heard nothing from them. I made a call the day before my scheduled pick up and was told no worries you will hear from us the day of in the morning. 930 am nothing! 1030 am I get a text from the broker, (Mike Archer)yes a broker and I'm not sure that's his real name and I'm not sure if the broker is US based. He stated he is in contact with the driver and he will be in touch shortly. I received a call 30 minutes later to be informed that the driver wants $650 to do the haul. The broker stated he's in negotiation with the driver. Another 30 minutes go by and he calls stating the driver will do it for $500! I said NO! You gave me a signed contract for $400. I called the corporate number and another Indian guy answered and said he's the manager and he knew who I was before I introduced myself, RED-FLAG. Same guy? Same office?? We went around and around on contract, pricing, me getting my $150 refund???? On and on he even said he would split the $100 difference and "I would only pay $450 at delivery." 6/1/26 Ameri Auto Transport should receive mixed to poor customer ratings. As a consumer I would cite severe issues--most notably lowball initial quotes followed by bait-and-switch tactics demanding hundreds or thousands of dollars more to secure a driver. Their bid went from $400 to $1200 to $800 and then to $1000. This company engaged in a clear bait-and-switch the day of scheduled pickup. I was quoted and confirmed an agreed-upon price. On the morning of pickup, they suddenly demanded additional money above the agreed amount. At that point, I had no practical alternatives -- I was scheduled to fly out early the next morning, and rearranging transport on such short notice was impossible. When I refused to pay more than what was agreed, the situation escalated beyond unprofessional. I was left a voicemail containing personal insults, including being called "psycho (they didn't realize they were leaving a voicemail about me to me)That alone should disqualify any business from operating in a customer-facing industry. As with others ; lies consisted of ... my grandmother died, driver is 145 miles away from you.. sent fake photos along the way, truck engine blew up, we can't find another driver, increased price threefold, took three days of bullying by broker, given fake arrival times, said they would make it right on their end, asked for another 50 dollars on top of the final deal. This company is absolutely horrible! After paying a deposit,my wife flew out to Vegas so that she could meet the driver on an agreed upon date to give them the key to the vehicle. It was agreed that the vehicle would be transported Monday and I asked Janice is that date was guaranteed, she said yes and that the driver Dan would contact us by 11:00 a.m. to let us know when to expect him, she even gave us his phone number. By 11:00 the next day we've not heard from Dan so I contacted Janice. She tells me that the driver had other stops and we would be his next pick up on Tuesday after she told me that Monday was guaranteed. So my wife has to extend her hotel room and also change flight arrangements. Again we are told that Vladimir would contact us. Vladimir called us Monday night and assured us that he would be there at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and would call us when he was an hour away. 11:00 the text day, no Vladimir. We called his number he did not answer, I called Amerigo, no answer. When I'm finally able to reach them a gentleman answered and said that Janice was not available and that he's the owner. He tried to tell me that Wednesday they could for sure get the vehicle but I could not and would not trust that, nothing they told me materialized. I asked for my deposit back and after much wrangling it was refunded but what was lost is much time, money, and our vehicle is still out there when we entrusted the transport of our vehicle to these people and the only thing they delivered on is excuses ... horrible company! Ameri Auto Transport LLC - Avoid these bait n switch experts. They transport your car from point A to point B, simple. But, they have mastered, and are actually best at the old "bait n switch". Here's how they work this one: THE BAIT- 1. I call them 4 weeks in advance of pickup to get price and their contract. 2. They quote me $725 to pick up car in Southern California to drop off in New Jersey. 3. I agree and sign contract. I don't hear from them again until the day of scheduled pick up. THE SWITCH- 4. They now tell me that the auto transport vehicle broke down on the way to pick up my car and they now must find a new driver, which may take 3 or 7 or 10 or 30 days...who knows. I say, ok. I'll wait. 5. They then call me back a few minutes later and say they "miraculously just found a driver, but the cost to me now is more than double the original quote". And...since the driver is available and on his way, I must accept their new price or lose my deposit. 6. Of course I object and tell them I will just wait until a driver is available who can honor the contract in place. "JB" at Ameri Auto then says, and this is the best part of the bait n switch they perfected...he says; "did you read the contract?" It says that if their driver is en route, then I lose my deposit. When I first inquired about transporting my granddaughter car from Texas to Iowa they told me they had their own driver and provided excellent customer service. Once I signed with them customer service went out the window Jason/Jacob was so nasty to me shouting when I called to ask questions. Very dishonest, called the day of pick to say driver was unavailable for original price wanted to charge $400 more, I know first hand from this experience what bait and switch actually meant after dealing with this deceitful company. I ended up getting my granddaughter car shipped to her in college 10 days later for $500 dollars more , to top it off they quoted me a $100 cheaper than what driver requested.
