Worst mistake I've made having come here. I was told to bring my car in a few days after I called so they can order the parts and get them by the time I brought it in. The day after I took the car in for a head gasket replacement, I called for a status update and was told the parts didn't come in til that day. I brought the car in on a Monday and the parts weren't there til Tuesday and "should be ready" Wednesday afternoon. I called on Thursday morning and was told the last of the parts had only just arrived and the car "should be ready" by Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon, I was told that it "should be ready" Saturday.
On Saturday, I was told the head was warped and they were leveling it, so it "should definitely be ready" Monday afternoon. Monday afternoon, I was told that it wasn't ready yet and it "should certainly be ready" Tuesday afternoon. Here I am on Tuesday afternoon, being told that there are only a couple things left to do and it "should be ready" by tonight.
Tomorrow, I am going over there and picking up the car whether it's ready or not. If it isn't ready, I will have it towed to a more competent mechanic and Master Mechanic will not see one red cent of my money. In fact, even if it is ready tomorrow morning (which I doubt), there is no way on Earth I will pay the quoted price. Because of their ineptitude, what should have been a 9 hour job has turned into 9 days!!! In the meantime, I have had to bum rides, take taxis, and almost get suspended at work for being late thanks to late taxi service. The worst part is I had to be out of my apartment today and needed the truck to move with. Good thing I didn't have to move out of state.
Do NOT make the same mistake I made. Do NOT go to Master Mechanic under ANY circumstances. read more
