Despite the difficult work Ames honored the quote. They did a good job on the hitch and wiring so I decided to get the U-haul trailer from them. They had the trailer ready on time and hooked it up for me. They even flipped the hitch for free so I had a few more inches of clearance. Since I was leaving town they could have screwed me but did not. They also do auto repair and I wish I had knew about them while living in Casper. Warning to anyone in the Casper, WY area stay very far away from Second Wind Performance they will…read morecompletely rip you off and their technicians are beyond incompetent. We were warned to stay away from them the day we took it in from someone else they had screwed over for thousands and we should have listened. We took our vehicle to them for a simple leak down test on one cylinder which they did incorrectly but since it was a simple test we took the risk regrettably. In the aftermath checking with other shops in town we found out that they charge literally twice as much as every other shop in town. When you talk to their management they will completely lie multiple times to save their own rear end and will take zero accountability for their wrongs and will put zero effort into making things right. They will also give you assumptions instead of true diagnostics in order to try and scam you out of more money. If you want your vehicle properly taken care of and for a fair price, then do not ever go to this sorry excuse for a shop and do your homework on their pricing. I will be taking my truck back apart this weekend to find out what they put back together incorrectly since it is now running worse than when we dropped it off. When I first purchased it, I went to another shop for a tune-up and fluid change, assuming the job was done properly. Little did I know, the fluid flush never happened. Thankfully, these guys caught the issue during a visit and showed me in person just how badly my coolant needed to be flushed. Prior to this ball joint replacement i had NO performance issues what's so ever. This was evidently a result of their service. This was a serious and sudden shift especially since a ball joint replacement (suspension work) SHOULD NOT cause engine trouble directly. I would not recommend this location.
