They are a sales broker with zero trucks, not a carrier. I was simply moving 5 hours away. I signed a binding written estimate for $3,800 and paid a $1,900 deposit via wire transfer. Just two weeks after taking my deposit, they called back claiming I "needed more space" and demanded the price be raised to $13,000 for the truck. Before any services were performed, they broke the contract and refused to return my funds. When I disputed the transaction, they sent aggressive legal threats to intimidate me. Formal fraud complaints are filed with the FMCSA, Texas AG, Wyoming AG, and the CFPB. Avoid them at all costs.

When you call Stewart, they take no responsibility and the payout is only 65 cents per pound. Figure, if your $700 jewelry case weighs 50 pounds then Stewart only pays 32.50 when they break it. What a racket. Only use these guys if you can watch the whole process. I don't think they are worthy of trust outside your line of sight.
