I stopped by this place looking to buy some Shiseido cosmetics. The owner, Linda, was very helpful in helping me pick out the right shade for me in a foundation that I was interested in buying. I sat down and she tried a couple of different shades on me and advised me on which one matched my skin tone the best. I wanted to buy a new lipstick as well and I was trying to pick between several shades so she let me try some of them on and gave me her opinion on which one was the best to go with. I also got a new blush shade and it is in a pink shade that looks very nice and natural on me. Linda has great advice when it comes to cosmetics and I am so glad that I stopped by the store. In addition to selling cosmetics here they also do facial services. I have had them do services on me here before, I really enjoyed it and I plan on going back sometime for some more. This place does not have an overly "fancy" appearance, but they are professional, friendly, CLEAN, highly skilled, and gave me one of the best 90-min facial for under $100. You cannot find that anywhere in Boston or the surrounding area. My gal, Mindy was very sweet and did a fabulous job. She gave me her best recommendation without trying to "sell". I went to Linda's store this July by chance. I was immediately impressed with Linda's professionalism and sincerity. I've had bad allergy on my face especially around my eyes over the last two years and my dermatologist's tests and prescription did not help much. My eyelids were often red and puffy, and the wrinkles around my eyes got much worse and I was terrified by how I could age overnight due to allergy. Linda and Mina are very knowledgeable and have introduced me to skincare products and facial services that completely changed my situation. In only a couple of months, the winkles around my eyes are not so visible now that I feel very confident with the way my skin looks. I'm 43 and people think I'm in my early 30s. I don't have to wear as much foundation. The skincare products keep my skin moisturized and firm. Mina also gives me a facial spa monthly. She has worked in the beauty industry for 10+ years and is very experienced and knowledgeable. She keeps my skin very clean and healthy. This review is based on full body massage. The masseuse came out to take me in after I came in the front door. She automatically spoke to me in doitMandarin. I replied in English that I don't speak Mandarin. Then she was asking if I know Cantonese. Ok, fine.. I'll manage with my half-ass Chinese. The whole ordeal went thru in cantonese where parts of the conversation led me to say that I don't know how to answer you in Chinese. I managed to have her understand that I want full body and deep tissue by pointing in her binder. She was not strong enough to perform deep tissue. Yes, I did ask her to go deeper but she wasn't strong enough. So ya, my knots are still there. Part way thru my massage, she had to excuse herself to pick up the phone that was ringing. Seriously? Great way to lose the mood. The massage bed wasn't that comfie either. There wasn't much cushion so my boobs were squished uncomfortably as I was laying on my tummy. The bed did not have a heating system either so at some points I was chilled. Maybe I should not be comparing this to luxe spa. Well then, I was expecting a full body massage to be a full body massage. What I got was back shoulders, back, arm, back thigh, calf. I was not even flipped over on my back. Hands, feet, head, front side is not part of full body massage. She is nice; but not professional. She brought me to the "changing room" and said that I probably have had massages before so I know what to do. I was like, I had massages before but it's at American spa. I was never brought into a changing room for a massage. duh! In short, she didn't do a good job explaining what/how she wanted me to change into. read more

I have a facial package here where I get 10 facials for about $70 each and two free microdermabrasion services. I recently went in for my third facial and got the microdermabrasion. I love Doris, although I had another woman previously and she's also great. The most painful part is the extraction but it's painful anywhere and beauty is pain! Your pores look smaller and improved afterwards so it's worth it. I look forward to the massaging, which sometimes puts me to sleep. I love the products that they use, Shiseido, and feel as if my skin was just rejuvenated and years taken off my skin. I love how my skin feels after the microdermabrasion, i got some blood clots underneath my skin by the eye area but that happens sometimes with the service as it's abrasive. To reiterate, i love the massaging technique and the effective extraction. There's plenty of parking, the changing room provides slippers, you get a room to yourself, the ladies are friendly and there's a ton of shisheido products to purchase, if you can swing the prices. LOVE LOVE LOVE and it's so worth it to get the package. read more

i agree with the previous reviewer. if you can't speak Cantonese you better know what to order! i went in to inquire about an eye treatment - like they do at Elizabeth grady. For the cost of an eye treatment i got a one hour facial massage and an amazing eye treatment. i also got a little back rub which i think is part of their style. i looked much younger when i walked out of there, so i am going back! LOL. glad to hear not to ask for a massage because i am going back for the same treatment i got before and was considering one. no frills. no warm and fuzzy here. just assembly line facial treatments done well. read more
