    Lamb chops (special)

We came by on a Friday night and the place was PACKED. There was no host so everyone who had a reservation was squished into a corner waiting to check in. They had a bunch of reservations for the same time so it was a little stressful to get seated in the correct order. We had the octopus, veal and lamp chops. The octopus was good but fried instead of grilled, so a bit heavy for an app. The veal and lamb were both delicious! We will definitely return during non peak hours.

For my birthday, I wanted to try Amelia's but was too tired to dine in so I decided to do takeout. Let me tell y'all something! The chicken parmesan is NOTHING to play with! Calling and placing the pickup order was seamless. The gentlemen who took my order was efficient and friendly! While I was waiting for my food one of the servers asked what brought me in and I told him it was my birthday but with the weather, I decided to do takeout as a compromise. I love the ambiance of the restaurant but the customer service and the food sold me. I will be back to actually dine there. I would love to try more items on their menu!

Having just moved to Cambridge, I'm constantly trying to try new food spots and we stumbled here for lunch . It is a small spot with wooden interior and cozy with good music: Zimmer90 - Feel Myself was an example and that added a star to review possibly. Started with arancini leading to the lobster ravioli which was surprisingly one of the better ones I've had. Will be back.

We went to Amelia's Trattoria for a more intimate graduation dinner for a party of 6. The restaurant space is cozy with a rustic appearance and outdoor dining is available. The menu is very similar to Sulmona and we had a second chance to try the other dishes we were deciding on the other night such as calamari, arancini, pastas, and desserts. It was such a wonderful meal. The servers are so warm and wonderful, especially Mohammed! This restaurant is a great option for people with a nut allergy since most of the dishes are made without peanuts and tree nuts.

I really enjoyed my dinner Ambiance is warm. Great place for a small group dinner I didn't go with pasta this time and went with the veal with mozzarella cheese and prosciutto. Amazingly good

One Saturday afternoon we spontaneously decided that we wanted to eat here for dinner. Thankfully there were still tables available on OpenTable to make a reservation. Once we showed up I realized that making a reservation was a good idea because the restaurant was packed. Throughout our meal I noticed other customers waiting by the door for a table. Two of us split the grilled octopus ($22), bolognese ($32), and veal saltimbocca ($35). They also gave us a small portion of bread with a savory bean dip. The bread was on the denser side but still very flavorful. The grilled octopus came on a bed of sauteed vegetables with a generous portion of a spicy aioli. The vegetables were fresh and lightly salted. The grilled octopus had a very crispy outside which made it taste more fried than grilled. While it was tasty, I was hoping for something more smoky. I don't think I've ever had a bolognese with a creamy sauce base, but the bolognese was delicious! The pasta was perfectly al dente and the shape of the pasta allowed each noodle to cling to the sauce. The sauce was creamy and meaty. I would order this again. I wasn't a big fan of the veal saltimbocca. The veal was tender, but underseasoned so it did not taste like much. The mushrooms and sauce were tasty, but unfortunately the sauce was too thin to cling to anything. I would not have minded if the vegetables were cooked softer. We chose to have some wine with our meal but I noticed other customers ordering cocktails which looked very interesting. I would try their cocktails the next time I come here.

I went here for dinner with my Dad on a Saturday and we went about 30 minutes after they opened! We were seated immediately, so if you plan to go I would definitely try to get there early. It did end up getting sort of packed over time. So if you want a quieter dining experience, coming when they open might be a good option! The service was great! I love when servers have great and authentic things to say about the dishes on the menu! I got the Linguine alla Vongole & it was really good! I can say that the clams were a tad bit "fishy", but that is expected. The flavor was good and slightly tangy, but not in a bad way! I also love that this dish didn't make me feel heavy afterwards. I also had two glasses of Rosé and it was delicious and strong! I'd definitely come here again so I have the opportunity to try some other things on the menu, it was hard to choose!

Came here for an early Friday dinner and we were one of only two to three parties for almost the entire duration of the meal. This wasn't a bad thing, just made the ambiance quiet and a bit more intimate. We came with a reservation and were seated quite quickly. Our server took our orders pretty fast and the food came out relatively soon after so that made the experience pleasant. The calamari and salad were good starters. Nothing out of this world, but decent quality for a good price. The free bread was also nice, although a little too cold for my liking and hard to chew. The pastas were pretty solid. Well-cooked, good flavor, and plenty to eat; I had enough for leftovers and took some home for lunch the next day. Really delicious! The dessert was okay - honestly a little overpriced, but still tasted good. I'd recommend getting a sweet treat elsewhere though as the size was pretty disappointing. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this spot for dinner again. Thanks, Amelia's!

So good y'all. We had an amazing dinner here. Do make a reservation. It fills up fast. We started out with the daily arancini which was really good. For my entree I got the spaghetti with the clams. It was really good with a little bit of heat. I loved it. Spaghetti tasted so fresh. My sister got the veal and said hers was great too. Free bread for the table came with this amazing spread. Sooo good. I also had an Italian mule. Fantastic!! We loved it here. The staff were super nice. We were well taken care of! I look forward to another visit next time I'm in town.

awesome cozy itialian spot. food was great and came out quickly. friendly and helpful staff.

Really charming spot with a cute vibe and terrace. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. They even brought out a complimentary appetizer of bread with an incredible sauce several times, which was a great touch. Both pastas I tried were delicious, especially the clam pasta and the bolognese. I'd definitely come back! Top restaurant in Cambridge!

Romantic little Italian restaurant on the outskirts of Kendall square and on the border of Area IV. You definitely need a reservation especially if trying to dine on a weekend. We arrived at 8:00 pm with reservation and was promptly seated indoors at our reserved spot in an otherwise full house. The restaurant itself is quite cozy so it can feel a little loud when packed. Once seated we were served water and complimentary bread and some kind of homemade tomato-based dip. Let me tell you, the bread which I think was a homemade focaccia and the special tomato mystery dip were out of this world. Probably my favorite part of this evening. Aside from the complimentary bread, we got the truffle fries to start, wild mushroom pappardelle, and the regular homemade spaghetti without meatballs - all split between 2 people. The fries themselves were mediocre as they were rather thin and kind of floppy, but they had the most wonderful truffle aroma that really stuck to your senses when eating. The pastas were both excellent quality and you can tell the pappardelle had this hand-pulled texture to it reminiscent of asian-style hand pulled noodles. The spaghetti sauce was really tasty and full-bodied but felt there wasn't enough spaghetti in ratio with the amount of sauce. The pappardelle was also delicious and the mushrooms paired wonderfully well with the parmesan but it was a little too drenched in olive oil for our taste. The food is a little on the pricier side but the dishes were so tasty and had such incredible balance and comprehension that it's all worth. tldr; romantic Italian restaurant in a quiet area between Kendall and Central that serves some of the tastiest Italian pasta that is well worth the price.

We split the mushroom pizza, the warm olives, the octopus, and the burrata. I tend not to express myself using superlatives, but everything was just plain outstanding. Flavorful, spicy olives, melt in your mouth burrata with prosciutto and apple relish, well balanced spicy octopus (chili aioli and Aleppo pepper) with bacon, grapes and either crispy prosciutto or bacon. The pizza was rich but not overly cheesy, and the mushroom mix and sauteed spinach was balanced with chewy crust and a rich olive oil base. We were planning on eating more, but decided to quit while we were ahead and have the chocolate hazelnut cake for dessert. Somehow, the cake was delivered accidentally to the table next to ours, and not only was another piece brought out to us as soon as we let the server know, but they gave us a generous portion of the tiramisu to make up for the mistake. Both desserts were of comparable quality to the rest of the meal, and they disappeared quickly. For the quality and quantity of the food, the meal was an excellent value. It is a little noisy in the room, with music and hard surfaces, but despite that, we were able to talk without raising our voices, and the service was a gracious team effort. The deliciousness of the food offset the background noise - once the food came (extremely quickly), we were so absorbed in eating and savoring it that it faded and was not annoying. Based on this experience, I would consider coming here on my next visit. Keep up the good work.

The pizza had black truffle pate and prosciutto while the carbonara was typical except for the burrata cream and black truffle pearls on top. The pizza was SPECTACULAR. The crust was perfectly airy and charred. In terms of toppings, everything was well balanced. The truffle flavor was STRONG in the best way ever. I was scared the salty prosciutto combined with it would be overkill but everything came together beautifully. The pasta was creamy and also well balanced. What does Shaina order at this venue after a decade? My personal favorite: Puttanesca with homemade fusilli. Why? Because despite living in a region of Greater Boston where Italian restaurants are fruitful, people don't serve Puttanesca! Literally can't find it in the four Italian restaurants near my south shore home. Only other place that I can order this same dish is Vinny's at Night in Somerville. Folks love their fra diavolo, but Puttanesca gives that same heat with the bonus of salty kalamata, capers, and a touch of anchovies melted in. And, guess what? Tasted the same as it had 13 years ago. Amazing! Don't get me wrong, they have many more offerings that I've been dying to try. There's pizza, garlic bread with and without cheese, mini arancini; they have sandwiches, too. They even have four (or maybe it was 5) options for risotto.
