He's a very kind, knowledgeable & experienced general dentist and one of the few who takes Medicaid (at least this was the case in 2017). So when I came in with sudden toothache pain, he took me as a walk-in. He only charged a nominal fee for the X-ray & to explain what was the problem. He does other services like bonding, veneers, mercury filings replacement, dentures among many other things. I would go see him first before any other dentist for fixing chipped/broken teeth as I suspect most other places charge astronomical prices (based on my research thus far).

I had been going to a *rich* dentist in River Forest for years. I'd go to the dentist and it'd take…read morean hour for me and an hour for my son. My wife has been going to this dentist for a few years. One day I noticed that it only takes her and my daughter like 45 minutes total. So I decided to give her dentistry a try. First, I was happy to be able to get a Saturday appointment. Secondly, they were able to get my 11 year old's teeth spotless! That's a feat within itself. Third, including fresh X-ray's, I was in and out of the chair in about 20 minutes. He praised me for having pearly whites! Last, because of my insurance and their pricing structure, I wouldn't have to pay anything for a standard cleaning (I always had a co-pay at my rich dentist)! * The only *minor* complaint is I think they should provide glasses for all cleanings. I did bring this up to them. They assured me that they do provide glasses for specialty work. I suggested at least offering for all. Kids would think its cool. The equipment wasn't super new, but it wasn't super old either- which is to say it didn't squeak or fall apart! Lol. It didn't bother me at all. To conclude, I'll be coming back.

I have been a patient for several years and decided on this dentistry due to the reviews I read. I…read moredo not see Dr. Turnwold much since Leah has been taking care of my teeth 3 times a year. Extremely professional and thorough. Facilities are top notch and clean. Never sat in the waiting room because she was always on time. There has been several reviews stating the lack of transparency on pricing. Well, I have been around for quite awhile and never saw dentists nor any doctors or other medical professionals with a price list or menu of their procedures... novel idea though... Nothing is free kiddos! When it come to my eyes, teeth or my general health, I do not care what it costs as long as it can be prevented and fixed. You do not go to a 5 star restaurant thinking you get a discount or able to use a coupon? If this dentistry was a restaurant, they would have a couple Michelin stars...

Not the Same Practice Anymore…read more We used to love coming to this office when it was run by Dr. Turnwald and his team. My kids actually enjoyed going to the dentist, and the entire staff was fantastic. About a year ago, I was having tooth pain and called to set up an appointment, and I was pleasantly surprised to get in the same day. However, when I showed up, I found out the entire old staff and Dr. Turnwald had left, and the practice had been sold to a new doctor--without any notice. Even the text and email confirmations still had the old dentist's name, so it was pretty frustrating to show up and find an entirely new staff and doctor. While the new staff was nice and the doctor was okay, the whole experience felt off-putting since I booked the appointment thinking it was still my family's trusted dentist. I also really missed my old hygienist, who always made visits easy for my kids. Honestly, had they been more upfront about the change when I called, it might not have left such a sour taste in my mouth. But now, I drive 30 minutes out of my way to see Dr. Black, where she has her own practice, and it's worth it for the care we receive. Most of the positive Yelp reviews here are for the old practice under Dr. Turnwald, and it says a lot that the entire staff left when he did. We've since followed Dr. Black to new office, and our family is much happier for it.

But I was told ur appointment is for cleaning , I was surprised because I had 3 months ago, I got done again the girl Maggie she did my cleaning as very harsh I told her everything gentle she said she is removing plaque, but in fact she scratching cement of my Lover Bridge on left side she broke the seal and chipped my one Crown of upper front Dr Anthony-was there he knows I could feel the chipped. Couple weeks went by I was eating on my left side bridge I had no Idea that at cleaning Maggie loosened the bridge and month 1-2 bridge got so loose it came out with Root canal. I was so upset. I I needed extraction of 2 back tooth. On May 11 Dr Anthony did the Surgery, it was sedated so no pain then Tuesday it started pain all night I could I could not sleep because of pain ,then on Wednesday May 13 th I went back to Royal dental different Dr Was there he gave me Amoxillin 500 For7 day 3 capsule a day. Still had pain every day I was calling to Royal, pain was bad then Friday they said u can go to our Burridge office Dr Stanlyis there on Saturdayi took Uber and went to Royal at Burridge, Dr Stanley did X-ray and did 2nd surgery on same Tooth's I had before. He sedate the tooth still I felt pain he sedate again I was so uncomfortable I could not breath so he gave me Iv,s surgery got done he found Thar a piece of tooth was left with first surgery so it was causing pain . Now I finished the Amoxillin500 asDr directed , then I went to Dr Troy an he checked how I am healing Surgery. At there office Dirrea started it was reaction on Strong Antibiotic some how I got home and Dirrea got worse I was Vomitting and Direaa some time , so I called 911 and went to Hospital stayed there 2-3 days. My upper partial was done so I neede lower partial Dr Anthony adjusted 4-5 times but still I can not eat anything except soft food can not chew it hurts. My town is chipped because of cleaning I told Dr Anthony to fix it but he said it has to be replaced I said it should be done. O charge to me he said u have talk to owner Dr Peter Troy'an my Dental Insurance has all been depleted. I want to talk to Dr Troyan but phone is not given to me by Staff could not find his business card. Wrote him a letter asking to fix my Crown Free and help me with Hospital bills and my pain and suffering I went through Hell . I never had this kind of experience in my life before. I Told I think DR Patterson give me Zpack Antibiotic because I can not tolerate strong but he said no it is better . Staff is good Dr Anthony is good but not very well qualified. The ahygenic Meggy who did my cleaning was worse she did not see the difference between sealed cement or plaque she was not qualified I Suffered so much after cleaning , I do not know they did cleaning after 3 months it should be done after six months. Seems like it is All business No care for patient. Everyone told me ot to go back but I thought they are working with Insurance so let's finish my treatment. They have to fix my Down upper front fix or replace my lower Par UAL so I could eat without pain. I Hope to hear from them soon .
