I am not a regular movie theater goer and I usually go to the theater to see like a blockbuster action movie with great special effects. It is worth the experience. I wouldn't go to see (for example) a drama or romance movie. Here are my pros and cons of my experience at the theater. IMAX THEATRE. We saw the Odyssey premiere and the experience was excellent. Highly recommended for the extra price. The visual and sound effects were incredible. The seating was very comfortable too. Unlike the past, all the theater patrons are very quiet and well behaved. MOVIE PREVIEWS AND ADVERTISING: This is one of the reasons I don't go to the theater regularly. They make you sit there and watch 30 minutes of advertisements and previews before your movie actually starts. Very frustrating. CONSESSIONS: The new kiosk / checkout system is much better than the old days of waiting on the ridiculous lines. You pre-pay your order and pick it up within minutes which is so much better. The downfall is the prices are absolutely outrageous. Like attending a professional sports venue. I figure they have to make money somehow. We bought a popcorn and one soda and it was $22. Totally absurd. Next time I'm going to avoid the concessions. RESTROOMS: They were sufficient, but they could use a little extra maintenance and cleaning. GENERAL: The general atmosphere , comfort and entertainment experience of this theater is very good. I will return here in the future if another movie comes along that meets my interest. read more

My family and I saw an IMAX movie on Monday morning. The ticket buying experience online was easy. I also purchased popcorn and drinks when I bought my tickets. The drink cups and popcorn was ready ahead of time. I like that the guests can put butter on their popcorn themselves. I also love the self-services drink machines. The IMAX experience was excellent. The picture was sharp and the sound was amazing. I typically go to another theater brand in my hometown. Their main theater, no an IMAX, is the same size, but the picture quality is not as good. The recliner seats were just okay. They weren't heated and they were not adjustable. Also, my three year old niece had to stand up to see over the seats in front of her. read more

Haven't been to this location in years and it just looked amazing seeing it with fresh eyes. Upon walking in its claw machines, an air hockey table and Photo Booth on either side which is nice for anyone while wait to a movie. They have kiosks to buy tickets and food which is nice if you don't really feel like talking to people and want to get straight to the movies. The reclining seat are spacious and very comfortable I must say. Why do we keep doing this- going to AMC White Marsh is always disappointing. 5/24/26- Mandalorian IMAX with laser. 1:00pm showing Where are the lasers??? Where is the IMAX screen??? When I Google theater #5 it says it's a standard theater. So we're we ripped off for higher priced tickets and watched a normal movie??? "With Laser" to me means there will be lasers in the movie....false advertising, unless you add an " R in circle trademark". It was not what I know as an IMAX screen at all. read more

Food and service was great but the restroom was disgusting! Toilets not flushed and poo on the toilet seats. Smell was horrible. When the movie started and the air started to flow the staleness of the air was not pleasant. My nose is sensitive to smell and this was not pleasant. I finally left my husband to get fresh air. Came here to see the new F1 movie, but the last time I was here was to see Sinners. I'm personally not used to driving far to go to a nice theatre, but I don't like a lot of the theatres in the inner city. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of this one either, but it's as close to "nice" as I can get. First off, the reviews about the theatre being dirty are true. There is always popcorn on the ground, long waits for concession pickup, and the bathrooms are not up to par. This place feels close to being abandoned, and it doesn't seem like anyone cares to revamp this AMC theatre. Normally, AMCs are a little cleaner and nicer, and since this is in a nice area, I guess I'm just a little confused. Regardless, I'll still come back here, but I do cringe every time I walk in because I feel like I could have a much better experience if they just care more about this place. and yes the seats break often but the staff will accommodate that if you communicate with them your seat is broken. read more

The actual theater itself was nice, watching a movie with the reclining chairs. Everything else was dirty. I feel like they are probably understaffed and the people who come here are careless. It's gross how people will leave cans in toilets or even hair on a counter. If they can, they need to hire more people on weekends or have better staff. I'm not sure why the lines for food/drinks took forever. If they are understaffed, they shouldn't serve food that will take long, such as chicken fingers. All of the counters were sticky. The floors were gross. There is a bar with tvs when you're waiting for the movie. But no humans there to serve you. Someone ran over when we sat down. Served us a draft beer with 59% foam for $14.50 plus tax and tip. We ordered food on a kiosk and waited. Then we waited in line to pick it up. The counter was sticky. No humans helped us. We waited for a snack. To have cups handed to us and then got our own drinks. You pay extra for a slurpy. But you ge it yourself so. We saw others paying for sodas and getting slurpeys. We paid extra for IMAX and that was a mistake. The chairs were doubled up from what we are used to. You could not recline and if someone had to walk by you, you had to stand up and let them by. read more

However, this means the row in front of you, with its head rest protruding over the bannister, will block your view at the bottom of the screen. First time in the area checking out THE COLOR PURPLE MOVIE. I'm gonna say my whole interaction was digital.... I ordered my tickets online, walked in i waited for assistance at the concession counter till I noticed the machines right in front of me to order your movie treats. I made it into the theater room and was happy to see that it wasn't crowded, I did choose a matinee. The chairs were nice, big and comfortable. This theater has really gone down hill. The concession area is a hot mess. Getting your food can take 5 minutes or a half hour, whether it's popcorn or just a fountain soda. If you get a fountain soda, good luck finding a machine that will disperse soda and not soda water. The theaters themselves have been dirty the last several times I've been there. The trash cans outside of the theaters are filled to the brim so you either have to pile your trash on top of an already overflowing trash can or walk around the building looking for an empty trash can. A positive is that the employees who take your tickets are always super nice. Just wish they kept this theater cleaner!! read more

Ive been going to White Marsh AMC for years, but last night was beyond disappointing. I bought two Stranger Things 5 premiere tickets for January 1st at 8 PM and ended up losing almost $80 due to two food/beverage vouchers not working which was already a disappointment but then I decided to order a food pre-order placed at 8:40 PM which that was never ready when i e left the movie the movie around 11 PM even though all I ordered were two large drinks and cookies. On top of that, an employee brushed it off by saying "You should have ordered it earlier because they were busy." With a complete attitude towards the customer as if this wasn't a AMC or management issue. The rising prices, ridiculous wait times, and seats that don't even recline half the time, it's just not worth it anymore. This is my go-to AMC, and honestly, it's one of the better ones I've been to. It's an AMC, I kind of expect it to be average, but this particular location has never disappointed me. My husband and I are A list members and come here a couple of times a month. To be fair, we normally see early showings (10 am/11am), and it's always been uneventful. No disruptive audience members or anything that goes wrong. The couple of movies we have seen in the evening, there has been police security there. The Dolby atmos theater is getting a little worn down but still comfortable. The IMAX theater is new and clean. Anytime we've gotten food here, it's always been fairly quick. The staff and service are fine. They scan your ticket or hand you your food, and they get the job done. We've never had an issue. Whenever the projector isn't turned on or they forget to turn off the lights, it normally gets resolved pretty quickly. The bathrooms are eh, but you can always find a somewhat clean stall. And I've never had to wait. All in all, I'm glad this is our go to AMC's. There are some much worse ones (looking at you AMC Empire 25 in Times Square), and I think we lucked out. read more

The entire movie experience is terrible. The food ordering system is a complete mess. It took us over 35 minutes to get a simple bag of popcorn-- making us late to the movie. Not only that, the popcorn was incredibly stale. The theater is disgustingly dirty and the lights were ON for the movie. We left within a few minutes. As an AMC A-list member I have much higher expectations for a movie experience and I will likely cancel my AMC membership after this ordeal. read more

Where do I begin???? There was a time where this theatre was a pretty good theatre but over the years it has really gone down. The theatre is un- kept, trash consisting of popcorn, napkins, and other stuff is on the floors at any given time. The concession stand is an absolute nightmare. Everyone waiting on a concession order is just bunched up waiting for their order number to be called of which could take anywhere from 5-10 minutes to over 30minutes to receive your order including a single popcorn and or drink. The staff working the concession stand had no customer service skills whatsoever! The bar was open with no bartender. The manager was bartering if which took him over 20minutes to come to the bar to service anyone because he was attempting to multi- task while bartending. His attitude and demeanor was very unwelcoming. The entire establishment is horrid. The only nice staff I encountered was the young lady taking tickets to enter the theater. I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EVER COME TO THIS MOVIE THEATER, EVEN IF THE MOVIE IS FREE!! Everything about this movie screams unprofessional, improperly trained, filthy and un-kept. I have to say that this was the most interesting AMC theater that I've ever been to and I don't mean that in a complimentary way. I immediately noticed that there was not one employee in sight near the entryway of the theater. I only saw two employees checking customer tickets and one handling food orders that were placed electronically. The bathrooms were a world of their own. I literally felt as if I needed a tetanus shot after walking in there. The floor was littered with toilet paper, toilets were a mess and needed all of the cleaning supplies. The movie theater itself was riddled with trash, food and boxes. In other words...junk. It was disappointing to see a AMC theater in this manner. The only reason I am giving this theater two stars is because I throughly enjoyed the Super Mario movie. We purchased tickets believing that the movie we were seeing would be in 3D and it wasn't. The ticket prices were a bit pricey for me to not see Toad jumping out of the screen. The theater had reclining seats and were comfortable. Although, the theater also had sprinkles here and there of trash on the floor. The Dolby sound was intense. Felt like I was on an indoor theme park ride. I am an AMC Ticket Stub Member and I am slowly loosing my patience with this theater. This theater in the last 2 years was being renovated/updated. I am finding it sad that with all the supposed upgrades, things are broken or inaccessible you would think whatever money they spent, things would be in better shape. We came to see F9 in IMAX. I have been dying to see this movie. Last year, I had purchased tickets to see this last year around mid June, close to my birthday, but Corona changed those plans, but we were to be in the theater with the leather reclining seats. To my surprise, we were seated in theater 5, row S, seats 14 and 15. I was a little disgusted after paying $60 for movie combo and tickets to be sit in seats that were tattered, or damaged, as well as the a damaged arm rest/cup holder. The cup holders didn't really hold up the cups. I was afraid of moving in fear of spilling my drink. I managed to keep it 2 stars since for once we had decent customer service at the concession stand, and checking in for the movie. I am debating on whether or not I want to continue my membership or not. You want people to enjoy the movies, do better. I truly understand that financially things have been hard, but I might have to find a new place to watch movies. read more

I've never been out this way, so it was nice going to a new AMC. We went on a Friday night, and it was extremely crowded at the food counter. The bathrooms are located near the check-in desk, and there is a bar as well. I liked the fast kiosk ordering station, but I disliked that when you order what is advertised, it is not what will print out. For example, we ordered the D&D combo, which was two drinks, one pizza, and one popcorn. What printed on the recipe was just 1x drink, 1x pop corn, and 1x pizza. We were able to discuss that and got our correct order. Many special memorable were sold out, but that is not AMC fault. We just came too late. They ask you to self scan at the front entrance if you pay online, so when you get to the main area where the movies are, they let you just go in. We were confused. I think in terms of other local Baltimore AMC theaters, it's better than Owings Mills and Security Blvd for sure...but Columbia has it beat. White Marsh has a bit of a shit show when it comes to concessions sometimes. I find the Dolby theater to be glitchy often. We came and luckily were the only ones in the theater we were in. 20 minutes into the movie a bunch of children came in talking super loud, shining their flash lights, hitting each other, and hopping over seats. After deciding $30 wasn't worth watching children making a movie theatre their playground we decided to speak to a staff member. After huffing and puffing they gave us tickets to come back. Today was the day we decided to come back. We came and got popcorn and two drinks. The popcorn was cold and stale. $9 for stale and cold popcorn? I think not. Myself and three others asked for new popcorn. The drink fountains had almost every drink option unavailable and there were no lids or straws. We went to this location yesterday and it was the worst experience ever. Whoever designed this movie theater should rethink how this process works because it was a doozie. Most of the machines were having problems therefore we went to one by the customer service desk and that one ended up working. When we got the popcorn, water and drinks, the popcorn was not fresh. People were everywhere! There was no organization of who was placing an order, who was waiting for an order or who was just standing around. Once we finally got to our theater and sat down, I noticed there was no AC and we were all fanning ourselves because it was so hot in there. I will not visit this location again, so please find another theater that has better services. read more

this is my home theatre as it's close to "home" and I have an amc a-list membership. so needless to say, I go often. well tonight confirmed why I'll continue to go - the staff! more importantly Andrew, the manager! he is always so kind and polite as my friend and I are repeat customers, but tonight when we complained about some unruly kids that were being obnoxiously intrusive to our movie, they took our complaint seriously and warned the kids several times, babysat them to monitor their behavior and then eventually asked them to leave. The actual movie experience was fine. It's a theater with a big screen and a loud sound system. But whoever designed the concession stand and set the staffing levels is an idiot. This multiplex has 16 theaters, but there's only enough room for a few workers to heat up and deliver food to the counter. I only saw three of them working on the day I went, and they looked miserable. The wait to get food was 20 minutes. There are plenty of decent screens in the Baltimore metro area, and they won't make you wait that long to get popcorn and a drink. I'm going somewhere else next time. read more

Went to a Thursday "preview" showtime of 'Deadpool & Wolverine.' Almost every Coke Freestyle machine was out of Coke! 3 of the 6 ICEE spouts never became frozen enough to pour into a cup. There isn't a single human being at a cash register to order concessions. It's just lame touchscreens. Trash cans were overflowing with garbage. The bathrooms were a wreck. This was THE BIGGEST OPENING of the year and the management and staff of AMC White Marsh failed in every possible aspect. read more

The air conditioning in the theater was broke and they didn't inform us - it's 95F outside and about 85F in the theater. Our seats were broken and would not recline. And the quality of the projector was horrible. What a joke of a theater. read more

The Good: Firstly, the cinema was clean and spacious. The workers behind the counters, after ordering from a Kiosk, was able to get my popcorn and icee cup within a few minutes. The movie screen and the sound of auditorium 4, which was the Dolby Cinema experience, were both of great quality. The Bad: Reclining seats was one of the main reasons I came to this cinema; however, though they have them, there is not enough room between the rows to properly facilitate using them and having a comforting seating experience because any time anyone passes by, you have to force your legs towards your torso. I have had to accommodate multiple people walking by. There was a total of four times I had to do this. Also, when you utilize the reclining feature, the front row divider impedes upon your viewing experience. And the previews went on for nearly thirty minutes. I love previews before a movie, but not thirty minutes worth. By the time the previews were over, I was exhausted. I felt I had seen the previews to every movie from now until 2025. Lastly, the concession stand line took a good amount of time to get through. Judgment: Overall, this experience was just fine. read more

So we came here to watch Mortal Kombat on Saturday 4.24.2021. I preordered the tickets / chose the seats ahead of time and thank goodness I did. I had the option to preorder the food and drinks too, but only if I'm a Stubs reward member (I am not). So the 4 kiddos really wanted to see this movie - the 2 adults didn't really care either way. So anyways, we got there about 430 (movie started at 445) so we could order snacks and drinks. Well apparently we should have gotten there much earlier because it took 30 minutes, no joke, for 2 large popcorns, an order of curly fries, M&M's, and 6 fountain drinks (which, mind you, you fill up yourself. They just give you the cups, lids, and straws.) So since the kids were really hyped to see the movie but we could tell the food / drink situation was gonna take a while, I took the kids to their seats around 4:55 so they wouldn't miss any of the movie (at that point it was still just previews). Came back out to offer an extra hand with the food and drinks, and still waited another 5-10 minutes. And then the fountain drink dispensers - there were 3 of them but only 1 was working. As the 2 of us were on our way into the theater, we overheard a guy saying he missed a good portion of his movie, which started at 3:30, because he waited 50 minutes for his food. Hopefully they let him see a later one or refunded him. When we finally got to our seats, we had missed maybe about 5 minutes of the movie so it wasn't a huge deal. Still annoying though. I mean, it's a Saturday. Maybe have more than 2-3 associates handling the food and drink area. read more

She was into the computer the entire time. I had to go to another employee and he caught her attention. Then she seemed like she was irritated to do her job.
