I loved this theater when it was a Cinetopia-so lux and high end. Now that it is an AMC my experiences have been a hit or miss. The smaller living room theaters are very well worn, with most ottomans having rips and large tears on it. All of the upholstered chairs need a good professional cleaning. My daughter has been a A-list member for several years and she purchased our family of 5 tickets the day after Thanksgiving. She chose seats 3-8 row D. When we checked in on the kiosks at the entrance it printed out different seat and row numbers. We sat in the seats we originally chose. A couple came in looking confused, and asked us what movie we were watching. The also had issues with what theater and seats they were in. Three other families had the same issue and there was a lot of seat shuffling. One family got really frustrated and asked the staff to figure it out but no help. Regardless we all watched the movie - no issues with the actual showing. Just as an FYI no one checked our tickets upon entering. The staff was non-existent.

    This is a theatre.

Oh my gosh. Where to start.... The seats are incredibly old, uncomfortable, and even sometimes, broken. The movies are TOO loud, talk about sound immersion, you can't even hear yourself swallow. Soda machine does NOT have working ice. Two sodas... you'll never guess... $15. Yeah. $15. The theatre me and my longtime lover were in smelled awful, created an overwhelming sense of nausea in the theatre.

Went to the single showing of The Abyss special edition tonight. First off, buying tickets at the concession desk is weird and feels like a cheap way to sell food. I'd rather buy from an automated kiosk like they have at Bridgeport. Also this system would be awful during busy season and child X can't decide what candy or drink they want as they quickly achieve pre-diabetes status. Meanwhile all you want to do is get tickets and move. Dumb! Also, every single worker there had no idea what The Abyss was. Yes I'm sure they were all 18-25 years old but guys... are you not fans of film? Sad. Got a poster. Movie was fun to see huge. Sound was ok. Not crazy like the Star Wars special edition trilogy work was in 1997. Theaters was 60-70% full by start. Sat in the top row right of center. Dude next to me ate a giant popcorn and drink and was fading in and out sleepytime style. Then he took his poster and rolled it up like it was a weapon super tight and kept rolling it so it made a noise. His phone went off midway with a bad ring tone and he struggled to turn it off. To my left 5 seats away was some old greyhaired lady that kept checking her phone every 15 minutes and would sit forward so you could see it from many seats away. Ugh. People suck. Turn your phones off goddammit or stay home!

Love this theater, it has a bar and restaurant in case you want to have dinner first then enjoy your movie. Theater is always clean, I just wish this place had reclining seats. Staff is always friendly and helpful. There's also other things to go after or before your movies, there's ice cream shops, boba, pho etc. Highly recommend.

Was so much better when it was Cinetopia. The food is awful and the facilities are dated and crappy.

The movie was so loud. Inside the theater it was dirty and very hot. The food was below average, I say stick with the better theaters.

They're really trying to turn this place around. I like the food and I'm definitely going back for the Feb 11th Black History Month showing.

Everything else is consistently great -- I just hope the glassware issue can be addressed.

There's an old woman who works the bar, I think her name is sherry, who consistently has provided me poor service. Poor attitude, long wait times, rude comments. But as soon as my husband arrives she is nice as pie to him. It's very apparent that she doesn't like other women. Saturday night 12/21/25 I went in to meet friends. I got there first, walked up to the bar to order a drink as my friends haven't arrived yet. Waited. Waited. Waited. A younger brunette walked over with a clear frown on her face and curtly told me she'd be with me in a minute. Fine no problem. Waited. Waited. Waited. My husband comes in we then sit down at a table. We wait some more. Bartenders have not come out from behind the bar still. 30 minutes later my friend arrived, we went back up to the bar to order a drink. The younger brunette proceeded to fill the water container with ice right in front of us rather than taking our order. When we ask if we can order a drink the older bartender snaps at us and tells us if we want better service we can go somewhere else and that they are too busy. Mind you there's maybe 20 other people in this bar at the time. Once we are finally able to order a drink, 45 minutes later, we drink our drinks, I close out and go home. Come to find out our friends got charged for the drinks we already paid for! We have been loyal customers for a long time, we're respectful, we're not rowdy and we always tip well. In return for years of business we get treated disrespectfully and overcharged. Unfortunately I just don't want to go back here anymore after the way I've been treated not only Saturday night but the many times the old bartender sherry has been rude in the past. And I've have advised my neighbors to steer clear for these same reasons.

For the past few months or possibly more, there is a server/closing-manager (male Caucasian, glasses, ponytail) who only reluctantly provides the HH menu. About two months ago, I asked when HH started, and he said in 7 minutes (i.e., it was 9:53pm). I asked how much I'd save on the beer I was contemplating if I waited for 7 minutes, and he said a dollar or two, so I told him I'd wait until then to place my order. It seemed like a pretty light day, yet he took a full 20+ minutes to come take our order -- it felt like he was punishing me. Last night, it was 10:10pm and I asked if there was a HH menu. He said "not yet." I thought he meant that they hadn't yet been published, but when I went to the bar to say hi to someone I know, I saw a HH menu already on the bar. I'd already ordered off the regular menu, and chose to not change to something on the HH hour just to avoid the conflict. I have no idea what is inspiring this behavior. Perhaps people who order off HH menus don't tip well? In any case, this new HH attitude has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for Fireside. Which is sad since it still has a great tap list and menu.

Friday, we decided to get takeout and were near progress ridge, and decided to pop into the shopping center to see if anything sounded good. Alas, there's a new wing stop so just husband was sold. So I thought finally, let's try this Thai place! Got my obligatory pumpkin curry and beef, and mango sticky rice. Both were very good. The curry, very flavorful, albeit in need of a little salt, but that's ok - we don't eat a lot of salt and takeout sometimes doesn't feel so great because it has a lot. The mango sticky rice - good, black rice a little al dente for me but a-ok. Fast forward to today - on my way home from a nail appointment and my husband and I are texting about dinner plans and he asks where are you - I say progress ridge, and he says what do you want? I said maybe Thai but I know you don't want that- want wing stop? Sure enough he looks at the website and says I want to try the Khao Soi and the sweet potato appetizer. What?! This guy has never once had Thai with me in 19 years! So, I decided to try something different and got the massaman curry, and the pad se ew noodles as well with shrimp. So I ordered everything pretty sure he wouldn't like it (but I would) and Khao Yai folks - HE LOVED IT. For me, never tried that kind of curry and may never get anything else.... Sooooooo delicious, roti, amazing. Pad se ew noodles - great. Didn't need them but they'll make a great lunch or second dinner. All in all I am doing a happy dance because we found a good, reasonable Thai place - and the cherry on top - my husband loves it too!
