Took my mom to a movie and I was surprised at checkout that 2 tickets cost $13- it was a Tuesday! I didn't know about that AMC perk, it's a nice one! This location has ample parking despite being in a busy shopping center. It's clean, the snacks and drinks are always in stock, the seats are comfy, and they offer convenient showtimes compared to nearby AMC theaters. It's nice having a great theater 5 minutes from my mom's house when I'm in town! read more

Came here for the Demon Slayer movie and my friend's husband was able to snag tickets for the sub showing. Middle, front row babey! No hassle, you just walk in and they scan your tickets on your phone. We were going to pick up some free popcorn that we had as a deal on the app. My only issue with this location is how crowded the front lobby portion with the concession was getting. Despite everyone's best effort to distance themselves, some parties were way too huge and it looked like an absolute clusterfuck. Hopefully they can streamline the food ordering process, where perhaps people can mobile order ahead of time and create 3 lines to reduce some of this chaos. It is an older theater tho, so don't expect any reclining chairs. No issue for me though. Honestly one of the few locations that haven't absolutely botched an anime movie showing (coughpuentehillscough) and for that I am impressed. read more

This review is directed specifically at the management team of the facility and not necessarily the theater itself. Manager Sergio is specifically the issue. His lack of professionalism and dismissive attitude was unacceptable in his interactions with not only myself , but with other guests that I witnessed him interacting with. He was manning the snack bar while it was very busy. I'm not sure if he was stressed because of all the crowds , but never the less it's no excuse to treat people in a rude manner. His name is SERGIO. He says he's a manager. If he is, he sure does not act like one. He needs extra training in customer service. He's rude and unprofessional. On Saturday April 12 he took it upon himself to power trip on my 17 year old son, that was watching the family restroom door for me, since a few times people have opened the door on me. He had an EMPTY cup from Chick-fil-A that he was going to throw away. **Note we already had our drinks and popcorn purchased from the theater, with my Mom, who was sitting down with them. SERGIO came out of the office and told my son he couldn't have outside drinks and my son told him he would throw it away and that he was just waiting for me to get out of the restroom. He continued to harass my son about it and called him out to the front counter. Embarrassing my son in front of all the other teenagers and customers staring at him. Luckily my Father and other son were there to get up and see what was going on. My 17 year old son, tried to throw the cup into the trash and it didn't make it and bounced back. So SERGIO decided he wanted to kick my son out and said he was going to have our whole party leave. Keep in mind we come here regularly. My parents are both over 70 years old and he wanted to kick them out too!! Can you believe that?? When I came out and asked him if he scolded my son... His whole tone changed. He helped me troubleshoot the issues I was having, and why I couldn't access my account. Anthony fixed the issue, and my problem was solved! Oh my goodness what a kind, sincere, man Anthony was during our phone call. Once everything was resolved. I asked him his name. He chuckled. I said. " I would like to write a review on yelp." Went on Saturday 9/14/24 to see Beetlejuice in theater number 6. We:be never had a problem before but when we went in the theater was pitch black and no one could see anything. People were using their cell phone flashlights so they wouldn't fall and so that they could find their seat. They finally turn a few lights on right before the previews started. But here's the worst and weirdest part, there were tons of MOTHS!!! We spent the whole movie shooing away moths. It was gross. I hope they take care of it, not sure if it happens in other theaters there. read more

Went on 3/20 to see Mickey 17 with some friends. First of all, they're extremely understaffed and we waited in line for 10 minutes even though there was only one group in front of us. When we finally got up to the ticket booth, we were asked to show our government IDs. Why?? You have to be 17 to see a Rated R movie, and we're 20. Clerk insisted that we had to be 21 to pay for our tickets without explaining further. Extremely unprofessional and useless. read more

I came to see a movie this afternoon, but before the movie my partner and I bought snacks at the concession stand. I ordered a flat bread pizza and went into our theater to get our seats situated. I went back to the concession stand within five minutes, and I stood by the pickup area for over 20 minutes waiting for someone to retrieve my pizza, which happened to be sitting on the shelf behind the counter the whole time. The very same staff member who took my order did not once stop to ask me if I needed help. I was clearly standing by the pickup counter with my receipt in hand. They never called out my order number while I was waiting, either. The employee didn't have to remember my order (even though he had served me barely five minutes beforehand), but he could have certainly taken 10 seconds to stop and ask me what I may have needed. Once I was finally given my pizza I decided that I needed to bring this to the attention of a manager. After a bit I was finally introduced to a manager and he was extremely rude and unsympathetic to my complaints. I was not looking to get any staff in trouble, I merely wanted to tell the manager that I was bothered by having to wait for my food and miss the first 20+ minutes of the film I paid two IMAX tickets to see. The manager I spoke with did not see the issue with his staff being indifferent to help me, and he said he didn't get why I was dissatisfied with the situation. Unfortunately I cannot remember the manager's name, but I was considerably put off by his rudeness and lack of sympathy. All I wanted was to make note of unsatisfactory service and he told me I was wrong for doing so. I do not feel it is my fault for standing by the counter waiting for my food and having no capable employee ask if I needed help. That seems like a failure of basic customer service training that this manager could not take any accountability for and chose to make me feel like an unvalued patron. Even though I had spent $36 in snacks on top of another $30 for tickets. When I asked for a possible refund or free ticket voucher, the manager became even more sarcastic and rude to me. Was he really trying to save a huge corporation like AMC a piece of paper that's good for a $13 ticket? All he had to do was apologize for my inconvenience and make amends, but instead he chose to leave a sour mark on my theater experience. That is, simply put, poor management. Lame this theater is the only amc in the San Gabriel valley not offering $3 summer movies tickets for kids

This is one of the smaller AMC Theaters available in my nearby area. I have used this location a handful of times. When I want to watch a movie, I usually would either choose a branch closer to where I live, or a bigger theater with more comfortable seats and large selection of movies. What I am saying is, this particular spot is neither here nor there. But it still has its place! For instance, if I want to get multiple things done in one visit, this is a great location to choose from! You have many retail shopping options nearby in this Glendora business complex, and there're just as many for food and drink needs. Some of the nearby businesses I use often use include: Best Buy, Bath & Body Works, Wing Stop, Chili's and Ono Hawaiian BBQ. It's entirely possible to shop for some body wash, catch a movie, and then pick up dinner before you even go home! For popular movies that sell out easily, I can usually use this Glendora branch as a backup to get a more desirable seat. I remember coming here for Detective Pikachu just a few years back, because other theaters were (essentially) sold out, (well, no decent seat anyway,) and they ran out of the complimentary trading card packs that come with the movie tickets. Not here! I got a great seat here and I got my free trading card pack! Just recently, I saw Scream 5 (or simply Scream of 2022) here, and my experience was positive. Staff was cordial, theater was pretty vacant on a Friday early afternoon, which is ALWAYS advantageous during an ongoing pandemic, (less people means less infection risk,) and the seats were still comfy enough. I am not a snob for visual and sound, but you judge on your own when you come here. During rush hours, the parking lot, though huge, will be quite crowded. It's accommodating a lot of businesses together after all. So that's another downside; plan accordingly. Overall, 3 stars. Average, but still an integral part of this shopping center. Would love to see it remain in place and stay as an option for me for years and years to come. read more

So disappointed in this theater! One of the reasons, to visit the theater (other than the movie) is the snacks. The refreshing drinks, the yummy buttery popcorn, and all the goodies. But this theater had no carbonated drinks. Nor did they have a sign stating that. You ordered your popcorn and paid for your drink, only to find out after that the drink machine did not work. The kids all wanted icees, but no, they did not get it. They should have warned us the consumer of this. We take our families out to enjoy the full package, but this was just bad. The seats in this theater are not comfortable at all, and squeak so loud when you move. The movie quality was great and so was the sound. I am just so sad this theater ruined the experience for my family, as we had purchased 8 tickets for the new buzz light year movie. read more

I took my family to see Wonka on 12/26/23 Our movie time was 4:40 we arrived at 4:20 allowing us plenty of time to wait in line for concessions and still have time to make it for the movie. The line was so long for concessions and they were completely under staffed . The set up was terrible. They had one line for premier members and one for non premier . The non premier line went by so much faster. The wait for any hot foods was 15+min it was terrible! The women's restroom had no seat covers and almost every stall had not been flushed. I had never seen this theater so bad. We missed the first 15 minutes of our movie even after previews it was very disappointing! I don't think I will return to this location again read more

I don't know who is more rude here at this point, the customers or the employees. The seats are gross, apparently everybody talks during the movie now and leaves all their trash behind. So disappointed. Purchased four tickets for Halloween Ends for tonight and not even half way through the movie everyone in the theater was asked to leave. Apparently the theater was having issues with water supply in the bathroom so management decided to shut the whole theater down. Now we have to contend with rescheduling a time and date to watch the movie, contend with seat selection and sit through the first part of the movie once again. We have been in to this location a few times recently. It is always immaculate and the employees are so kind and friendly. Tonight, we received excellent, above-and-beyond service from Bella (at the front counter in the late afternoon). She helped us sort out a ticket issue, and kindly went out of her way to make sure everything was solved for us. All with a smile and real professionalism. I went in today asking if I can see the seating arrangements for IMAX theater. As a movie goer I usually go to Irvine spectrum for the full IMAX experience (there I already know my regular seats and location in the room that works best for me. I tried going in today. To be able to see what seat numbers and Isles work best for me. Since this is a new theater I was going to explore. Unfortunately, Sadie denied my request to be able to see the inside of the theater to find the correct seating for me. This also helps reduce anxiety for those who are on the spectrum ( going to an area they're familiar with). I explained that I was just going to check the seat number in person because it's hard to tell on the POS (computer screen) Because of that I walked out disappointed. There were no other alternatives she offered and didn't attempt to help in anyway. Let alone the male sitting next to her. Which was also no help. I could have been escorted in and out. I've always had an AMC account since 2019 and always use the premier line- but I didn't know that it was supposed to be for only the PAID account (which I don't have), not the free one I guess? but i've never had an issue with that & NEVER had any employee telling me to not be in the line. it was an honest mistake that I didn't know there was a difference. I was called next & she asked to scan my membership so I happily showed her my barcode. I can tell right away she was hostile from the moment I came up, and immediately goes "you were in the paid account line when you have a free account. I'm gonna need you to get back in the regular line." ?????? I'm all about customer service and treating people with kindness, but this girl took her job way too seriously. I get that she was just doing her job, but she could've told me "for future reference you have to use the regular line instead of this one, but i'll take you this one time" like was it really that hard to just not be so uptight? I didn't budge because why would I want to move to the regular line when i'm already there? I kept telling her but I'm already here. she was looking around to her coworkers for validation it was actually funny cuz they knew she was acting way too serious for something so tiny. Just got through seeing Dune on their IMAX screen. Sound was good. Seats are old style that have a lil flex/slight slight recline and screen is small for IMAX- would recommend driving a lil further to Covina AMC - bigger IMAX screen. As most people know now a days you have to choose your seats. Most the seats chosen are all center seats so it leaves huge spaces on the outside. Would probably make more sense for social distance purposes to leave a space between groups. I've seen a dozen movies at various AMC's in recent months and the theater is never full. read more

My wife and I haven't been to the movies in a while so while Ezra was away, we came for a 10:45 am showing this past Sunday. We reserved our seats online and were the 1st ones in the theater. A grand total of 5 other people came later to watch the theater. I know it wasn't IMAX and these are the fancy seats that recline all the way back but we had a great time. I also noticed that they changed the little gaming area to a bar which will make for an even better experience down the line. read more

Been coming to this AMC location for the past four years. Some family bought houses in the area. We can literally walk to this theater. Before Covid19 this place was busy and always had lines and early 12pm showings. Post covid19, it shows not as busy or much of a demand for movies. Even on the weekends, you'll think it's a Monday and not Friday. Overall staff and AMC has kept this theater up and still looks brand new. Seats are great, sound is awesome, picture on screen is crystal clear. Service and food are still great as ever. Every penny is worth it. If you go to the movies for the theater and food and service this and any AMC Theater is worth it. read more
