Now Showing!! My sis and I donned our fun popcorn earrings and where ready for the movies! Love the big theater seats and trays in this theater! Walk up to the counter... order food and drinks from their pretty extensive menu... and your grub is delivered to your seat. They have sandwiches, salads, burgers, chicken tender, etc. Along with pretzels, nachos, mozzarella sticks, popcorn and candy, and lots more! They also have mixed drinks (limit 2) and sodas. We had the chicken tender platter which was big enough for two, and we didn't even finish it! Good portions, but the food is mediocre. And of course I ate too much popcorn! The service was fast and friendly...we were told if we wanted anything else to just ask! We came for a matinee, and got out Senior discount so that's a plus for getting old! Lol ;-) We ordered our tickets online which was a breeze. Comfy theater, but it's odd when we walked in theater 8, you have to walk around in front of the screen because the front row is blocked off on one side. The other issue is there's only one restroom for 8 theaters. Huge lines! Add more restrooms! A few upgrades and this could easily be competition for Cinebistro. But Cinebistro's popcorn is waaaay better. These kernels are too salty and the fake butter upsets my tummy. Other than that, I'd come here again! But hold the popcorn!

I came for the eras tour movie. The seats don't recline and there's one cup holder per seat. When we were there for concessions you had to use a kiosk to place your order then serve yourself. It felt very impersonal. Also, some people around us were having trouble and there was no one around to help so we all banded together. Given other options for dine in movies in the area I wouldn't choose this location. The selection of food at your seat isn't as diverse, seats aren't as comfortable, not as fancy. It was good just to go see a movie and get some popcorn, but didn't feel like as much of a special experience as the other local option.

I hate that this is the closest dine in movie to me. This place continues to go downhill although they did do some renovations in the front. They continue to not offer the ability to order from your seat. They give you the food and drinks on paper and in plastic-cheapening the experience as they raise their prices. They had one bartender who was also taking orders and a barely functioning card machine. I got the henny berry bramble I usually get. Two at once actually because they're so good... well not this time. The drink was absolutely disgusting. I hate coconut and that's what it tasted like. I went to take one of them back and ask if he perhaps made the wrong drink and the bartender stated he didn't. I asked if he wanted to taste what he made-ya know with a stirrer- because it's nothing like what I usually get. He refused and told me it's unsanitary to drink after customers and I totally agree. I brought the drink I had not tasted because I ordered two of the same thing. He offered no type of solution to this disgusting drink he made which we had 4 of in total. His attitude and the drink left a really bad taste in my mouth. There's no tray at my seat so that was fun. The chicken tender platter had the smallest pieces of chicken I've seen in a while. The bacon cheese fries were a small portion this visit and lacked the normal amount of cheese. This experience was bad and really tainted date night.

I've been here a few times and I can officially say it's a nice set up, due to COVID you have to grab your own popcorn from the popcorn area so that's not delivered to you which is fine, I actually like having control over how much butter I drench on my popcorn lol. It's not the cleanest of theaters but the self service of choosing your food and drinks on the screen and paying there when you first come in is convenient, and then they bring it to you. The servers are not as attentive as other dine in theatres I've been to, at one point I actually had to knock on the kitchen door just to get someone's attention for a side of ranch, since no one ever came back to check on us. All in all I love any place that will serve food to me in the movie theatre that whole concept can do no wrong in my book. This theatre is not the fanciest, but it's a good time and they have a large menu, so you can get a variety of different food items which I love!

Advice.

I love the Fact that just like cinebistro you can choose seating and there is no rushing to get a "good" seat because you picked your good seat.

This used to be a place where you'd have to wait for a table every time, but now the restaurant is half empty and I see why! When I was ordering my food our server was slightly rude & I was taken aback (but you never want someone to spit in your food so I ignored it lol). As I was ordering my food she repeated my wing order to me as she was typing it in, but she did not acknowledge the fact that I asked for all flats so I said all flats again & her response was an "I heard" under her breath which others at my table noticed the rudeness associated with it as well. The wings visibly looked different but fine, however once I started moving them around, I noticed they were dry & chewy like they were over-fried, but normally when I get them they are moist with a slight char from being grilled even tough they are dry rubbed. The loaded baked potato I was a shock to me..a lot more cheese than potato and it was cold. I'm simply very unsatisfied. I took my food home with me & ended up just throwing it all away. They've still got the best blue cheese though, hope that doesn't change! I've got lots of points to use so I'm going to just try a different location & pray. My two times at Short Pump have been better than the last six-eight months at Midlo.

We were thoughtfully waited on by all the staff. Falcon smash is always my go to beer when I go there and this grilled chicken Parmesan sandwich was amazing. I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.

Today was my first visit to the new location and I came away impressed!…read more The ambiance is great. The service is great. The food is great. I'm so relieved that none of those traits got left behind at the old location! There's usually a wait, but they now offer outside tables for waiting or dining. So that's a plus. And it's worth the wait. There's a new bar, so one can sit there and enjoy a drink or a meal. That's nice. There's a new (I don't know what to call it) "dessert deli"? Where all the cakes and pastries are on display and for sale. So that trapped us on our way out. :-) And there's a dedicated door for take-out only, so if you order ahead you don't need to swim upstream of the other waiting diners to get in and grab your food, Here's something really innovative: Their parking lot is on the small side. But they are adjacent to acres of parking in the shopping center. So they run a golf cart in a loop, picking up and dropping off diners who park in the satellite lot. Wow! That's service. The restaurant business is tough. And endless number of ways to fail. But the Brick House Diner is doing everything right! PS: In a time when restaurant prices seem to be out of control, BHD is doing a great job keeping prices as low as they can. For the meal I had, I've paid 10 to 25% more at other, similar venues. So, hats off to BHD for cost control!

Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

Food was great. Drinks were great. Service? Garbage. The order of how they ran things? Terrible…read more This is the second time I've been here now. Both on a holiday of sorts- this past time being Mother's Day. We had come in around 10:45am so we could get seated for lunch a little earlier than their lunch crowds would appear. They gave us an estimated wait time of 15 minutes. That being said- we waited 45 minutes to be seated. They were 'transferring' from breakfast to lunch (never heard of a restaurant doing that before) and did not seat anybody within that 45 minutes. They had people coming in and getting added to their list, gave them 15-30 minute wait times but then proceeded to not seat anyone else that arrived until way past the timeframes given. Once it hit 11:30 they decided to start seating everyone. And I mean everyone. They definitely did not spread out the timing of the seating so the servers they had were overwhelmed. As someone who has previous experience in the restaurant industry I know this backs up both the kitchen and the servers when doing this. So that being said- we waited for a long time at the end of our meal for the server to check in on us, give us boxes, and provide our check. I will NEVER be going back, I don't care how good their food was. The service was garbage. The manager had given us a coupon for our 'next visit' but I am not going to waste my time. Please choose other spots for your Italian food options. This one is NOT the way to go.
