I haven't been to a theater in a while and went Monday evening to see The Chosen. I expected the snack prices to be outrageous because they always are, but I like my popcorn with a movie so I got a small. It was disgusting. It was stale, had no flavor at all and was almost impossible to swallow. I feel like at almost $10 for a SMALL popcorn, they could make some fresh popcorn. The AMC Theatre in Bethlehem is a nice and convenient location! They provide most of the trending movies around and usually provide a steady and enjoyable experience. I'm never have to wait to buy tickets, there's always an employee available. The bathrooms are relatively clean, I've had my fair share of nasty encounters. Me and my family have been to this movie theater before. It was a great option in our area and prior to covid it was always clean and air conditioned. This was not the case when we went to the opening of spider-man. It was extremely hot in the theater and it was absolutely filthy. Popcorn and spilled drink was in the theater. The bathrooms were a pure mess and the theater was hot and the seats smell musty. Until they fix these issues we will not be back. It's a shame because prior to covid this was a great theater. read more

There aren't a ton of movie theater options in the immediate area, so "this will do." Nothing special here, just a plain ol' Jane of a movie theater. We purchased our tickets online ahead of time and that process was seamless. When we arrived to the theater, we weren't really sure what was going on. There were a few lines and they were all heading towards concessions? We didn't particularly NEED concessions, but here we were being queued through there in order to get our tickets scanned. Yep, you read that right. There is no ticket taker/scanner. You present to concessions to be told where your movie is playing. Weird, right? Perhaps a very inconvenient way to increase concessions sales? Well, it worked. We ended up getting some popcorn and soda because we had already just waited 10 minutes to get through the line so might as well indulge. They had 4 Coca-Cola Freestyle machines and literally all of them were missing some sort of component. The amount of grayed out selections was frustrating. One machine was missing/out of 5 different colas! Another was out of cherry syrup and 2 colas. Just a let down. So while trying to find a cherry diet coke, I finally gave up so we could find our seats in the theater. No recliners here, but new-ish seats that are more comfortable than the old school ones. They rock back and forth a bit but there's no laying back. The theater was clean and seemed to be well maintained. The bathroom wasn't bad, either. There were zero issues with the actual movie itself, but this isn't a luxury experience like you'll find at other AMC theaters. This is an AMC Classic movie theater for sure. No bells and whistles, just enjoy the slightly cheaper seat and cheapened experience. read more

This theater needs a remodel and recliner seats. It also needs to offer reserved seating. The Lawrenceville AMC is a much better value.

I took my two year old daughter to the Summer Kids' Movie Camp to have her first movie theater experience. They showed Trolls which is one of her favorite movies. It's only $4 each person for ticket and the Kid's Pack which includes popcorn, a drink and a snack (in this case fruit snacks). Brilliant!! I thought I would be normal price, but I was the same! I really appreciate this for so many reasons. The theater was pretty crowded, but the kids were as appropriate as young kids will be in movies. Needless to say, my daughter was so happy and was giving Mommy lots of kisses and hugs during the movie. She loved it, making me one happy Mama!! read more

What an odd movie theater... We came here on a weekend evening and were surprised to find the entire lobby packed from the concession stand all the way to the entrance doors - the line was that long!!?! Turns out that this theater has no separate ticket and concession stand so you wait in the same line for tickets and concessions. Bottom line, you cannot show up here 20-30 minutes before your showing and expect to walk in to buy your ticket and sit down like most theaters. And heck, it wasn't like we came out on a huge premier weekend for Star Wars or Avengers or anything like that!! What's sadly ironic is that there a 3 lines: regular, premier stubs club and online ticket pick-up. All 3 were full so it didn't seem to matter that you ordered your tickets online or joined their premier stubs club program. Not only that, if you ordered online or are a premier member, you can look forward to people in the super long regular line glaring at you as you move past them in your full but still shorter line. The theater itself is old and not anything special. I can imagine that this place stays in business because there's no other real entertainment around. read more

We went to see a movie at 8pm on June 20th. It was not busy and very dirty and messy. They were out of coke products & popcorn all over the lobby floor. The theater had sticky floors and some bathrooms closed for cleaning but no one was cleaning them. read more

Very over priced. Very dark inside. And basically no customers. The place seemed practically abandoned. Only my group and one other in the movie yet all the trash cans were overflowing with trash. $33 for three tickets for pretty basic theater seats. One drink and a popcorn was like $20. I asked about the refillable popcorn bucket. Thinking since this is the theater close to our house we just moved to it may be worth it but $24 is a rip off. We'll definitely make the trip to NCG cinemas in Snellville instead. read more

Garbage dump. Trash all over the floors. Trash bags over the urinals in the restrooms. Lids, napkins, paper towels not stocked. Drink machines are out of ice. This is why I don't go to the movies more often and it's because of the service such as what I experienced yesterday at AMC in Bethlehem, Georgia. Tell me why there were two young ladies at the counter working at around 7 PM, one of them was just sitting there, twiddling her fingers and not offering to help anybody on the line. To add insult to injury, I bought a popcorn bucket for $25, thrilled to see the Little Mermaid yet, no one offered me the commemorative bucket?! It's the details that make the experience. With the outrageous prices during this economy everyone wants the best for their buck. I called today to see if they still have the buckets and they said yes but, they wanted to charge me $25 for another bucket. I just don't understand this kind of service it was opening night for The Little Mermaid 2023. You don't think offering the details of the experience that you are supposed to provide is important? Get it together Bethlehem and hire people who actually want to work! read more

We came on the day after its opening. For a Friday night, it wasn't as busy as I expected. Perhaps not everyone knows about the theater or they don't want to pay the prices. Friday and Saturday shows are $10 and $9.50 for the other days. What happened to matinee and student pricing? Right now, they're offering bargain pricing on Tuesday - $1 popcorn, $1 sodas and cheaper prices for candy. Not sure if that's a permanent thing. I would call ahead to make sure. The layout is a bit different, no ticketing counters up front. You line up for tickets and food/drink in the same line. There were over 10 people working to take our order. We got up to the counter at the movie's start time and our cashier, bless her heart, wasn't going to be thrown off script; so she kept asking us questions about promotions and trying to up sell us. In this theater, you get a popcorn bag and you take it to another counter to get your popcorn. I'm not sure if this is logistically smart. The seats are comfortable and they recline a bit. The stadium angle is steep enough to avoid blocked views. Parking is plentiful. If the ticket prices were better, I'd go here a lot since it shows first-run movies and is a 10 minute drive away. read more

I won't go to any other movie theaters (and it doesn't have to do with the fact that it is right down the road from me)! As far as prices go- it is cheaper than Regal, close to the same as Hamilton Mill. I like the fact that you purchase your movie ticket and food in the same line- as long is the line moves in a half-way decent manner. Also, since you go get your popcorn at a different area it is fresher and you have control over the butter. And who isn't impressed that you can get your own drinks and refills? The theater itself- wow- you can tell this is new digital technology at its best. The space is amazing, the picture image is great and sound system one of the best out there. For the price, seeing a REAL D theater movie is a better deal than IMAX because it is still a big screen but a lot cheaper. I actually hope that this theater stays hidden a little while longer, I feel as though it is my little sanctuary away from Buford and Athens! read more

My husband talked me into going to see a movie, while I am not a big fan of going to the movies as I usually get the rude person who sits behind me kicking my chair or cannot stay quiet through the movie, I opted to go. This was our first time at this movie theater. It was a bit different compared to other theaters we have been to, having to get tickets at the concession stand, but we only had 1 person ahead of us so it wasn't an issue at all. The popcorn was hot and fresh and the size of the cups for soda was impressive. We also liked the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, best soda ever! The seats were comfortable and we were fortunate not to have anyone sitting behind us, so we got to enjoy the movie without any distractions. Reading the other review about getting popcorn, I would imagine they do this on busy days. We did see a popcorn machine and butter machine over by the Freestyle machines, but we had been served our concessions at the counter. Employees were friendly and made us feel welcome. Now if every experience was like this, I would consider going to see a movie more often. read more

Whats up with having to get tickets and concessions at the same time. 20 people in line and 10 minutes later, we are still standing in line for tickets. No kiosk to buy tickets, no tickets only line....it is the slowest, least efficient set up I have ever seen. We left and decided to vote with our wallet. Even if you buy tickets online, you have to wait just like everyone else! Nice theater...too bad you cant get a ticket to actually see a movie within a 10 to 15 minute window. read more

My wife and I finally decided to check this theater out instead of going out to Mall of Georgia for a change. This theater is cheaper than Regal but waiting in line at the concession stand to get tickets immediately starts your visit on the wrong foot. Once we finally got our tickets and into the BigD auditorium, the seats were very nice but the movie never started. Finally, 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, I had to go back to the concession line to let someone know nothing was playing and then we finally got the pre-movie commercials and trailers started. Personally I won't be going back. The price difference isn't enough to overcome the rest. The BigD seats are nice but the overall "BigD experience" didn't seem as good as RPX at Regal and I'd much rather go with RPX or IMAX if I'm spending the money to go out to a theater. read more

Amazing new queue system: all ticket sales go through concessions. Purchased in line: queue up to go through concessions, Premier member: ditto. 30 min wait for both advance ticket sales and Premier (which are usually advance sales as well). Looked like an hour queue for on site sales. So folks who didn't buy concessions or want something else have to wait 30-60 min. to get a candy. Several folks were waiting in the longer queue to get a drink or popcorn (!??!). Anyway, all three queues end next to each other 30 ft. from concession counter and it's a madhouse re: who goes to next available attendant. No one checking ticket stubs (QR codes), no order, crazy and disorganized. We won't be back. read more

we attend this theater mostly in the fall and winter months. Yesterday we were there to see a movie only 2 hours after they opened.......the bathrooms were filthy.....two of the men's rooms haven't been cleaned in days. it was very obvious......wondering if the food areas are kept clean now.... will look around for other theaters in the future.... read more

This theater is outstanding! There are so many amazing deals while also making sure you have an amazing experience. The staff there is positive, and give you a smile when you walk in. There was a particular time I went there, and my wallet had slipped out of my pocket; a staff member helped me look for my wallet until we found it. They have a very caring staff. Don't let the bouncer at the start of the hallway scare you! They are just there to make sure the theater is safe along side making sure you have your tickets. While there are three lines: regular, premium, and online, the lines do move quickly. I would highly suggest going online to buy your tickets though. There is almost no one in that line anytime I want to come in, it takes only a couple of minutes to buy the tickets online and you are registered. All you have to do is pull out your phone and show proof that you bought the tickets, and in you walk. The signs leading to the movie you wish to watch are easy to follow as well. They have big signs that show the room number, helping you get there on time and to make sure you do not get lost since there are so many rooms in one big hallway. The popcorn stands are different from most theaters, since you have to wait in the same line as the tickets, but their deals are the best around. A huge bucket you get to keep and refill anytime, while only paying a small fee. You fill your popcorn at another desk if they are busy, which is a bit odd, but it does help the line move quicker. You also have total control over your butter, if you want butter in the middle instead of just the top, they allow you to do that. It is amazing that they allow you to do that since most theater's make your popcorn for you. The coke machine they have is also amazing; so many selections, so many flavors, so many different brands, and their ice is of a decent size. They also have it now where you can order online; you can pick up what you ordered once you walk in quickly to pick up what you ordered, then moving quickly onto the movie. When you get into the movie theater it has such a nice vibrant atmosphere, the curtains are red giving you a warm feeling. Aside from that there is a lot of room to move and the seating arrangements are nice and spaced out, not only that, they are the most comfortable chairs ever, you literally sink into the chair as if it were a soft bed. The arms are kind of small, you will bump into your neighbor every now and then when you both decide to put your elbows on the arm stands, however when you sit you have two convenient cup holders that hold the items you bought. All of the seats in the theater allow you to see the screen clearly. The screens being huge, it allows you to see every detail in the movie from the colors to the fine details in CGI. Taking all of this into consideration, I will definitely be back. It gives you so much control over what you want, you also get refills whenever you want, popcorn or drinks, and the vibes you get from here are nothing but positive! I only live 10 to 15 minutes away as well, the traffic to get there isn't so bad, so it's very convenient for me. read more

Not very clean. Make sure you don't forget to buy your snacks, because you must have your ticket to purchase more.... otherwise you will have to stand in line and wait for awhile. Nice and clean. The seat are really comfortable as well. Plenty of parking and the concession prices really aren't all that bad for a movie theatre. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is that they don't have a many choices in what is showing. They get one or two of the super popular movies and give them all the time slots.
