We had a magical meal here. My mom, wife, and our 3 year old son were looking for something in the middle of nowhere and found Ambrasa. We started with the chef's choice starters. The best gazpacho I've ever had (creamy, with a spicy kick), an amazing beef carpaccio, and unbelievable mussels cooked in the local specialty: sparkling cava.
Then came the main courses. Beef, Pork and Fish, all cooked simply but beautifully with a lot of rich flavor.
The best thing, though, was the service. Very attentive and charming father and son (mom and sister were in the back cooking). Great view, though it was so dark we could barely see.
we chose the casual outdoor patio. More formal seating is inside. There was nobody there at this early hour on a holiday, so our son ran around and was indulged by the owners.
Oh, and it was cheap. full meals for 3 and a bottle of their most expensive Cava for 100 euros.
After days stuck in tourism-focused places it was nice to come somehwere that didn't even English menus (Or, for that matter, Spanish). Only Catalan. read more
