I've scoured Google and Yelp for a few days and decided that I absolutely wanted to go with him because he had all good reviews, shows his cuts and styles on Instagram, and is booked for months out. Because of this, it's best to schedule a haircut online with him -- you'll be able to find last-minute openings. John is patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He's there to give you a haircut, but he's also there to spread some knowledge. He showed me how he was cutting my hair and why he was doing it. His consultation was also very helpful, especially because I didn't know anything about hair and how to style it. I wanted to change the way my hair looked in both style and color, and John was there to give feedback and what he thought was in my best interest. I felt like he should have charged for his consultation because he spent a GOOD amount of time providing advice and feedback, time that's worth money, especially when I was his last client for the day and it was getting late. Because he didn't charge extra for consultation, I provided a good tip. What I wish beforehand, which isn't really John's fault, is how to enter the building. It was late, so the door was locked -- luckily, there was someone who let me in. If you ever encounter this situation, just text John and he'll come open the door for you! Overall, I believe I am a permanent client of John's. My husband loves my hair and believes that John did a really good job, especially for the price you're paying. I highly recommend John!

I got tired of sitting down in the chair and being asked "what's your number" which I'd never heard before since I was accustomed to barbers and stylist who only used scissors for most of the cut. Vivian took the time, was very personable and she used scissors to even up my thinning hair, rather than electric clippers, plus the scalp and neck massage were great and I've always appreciated getting my hair washed after the final cutting, rather than a talc covered brush to remove the clippings and stop up my nose! When we lived in Prosper I belonged to a couple of men's styling salons (Boardroom, Gent's Place) where I got this level of service, and I don't mind paying for it, but until now I just couldn't find anyone who would take the time to do it right.
