I was a little hesitant of this place when we pulled into the parking lot. It's not in the best area. However when we went in we were greeted by the nicest woman. She introduced herself to my kids and let them pick where they wanted to sit for their haircut. She was super patient with my 1 year old. He's a wiggler! HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU MEET JUNGLE CUTS!!! My son looks FORWARD to getting a haircut since finding this FUN PLACE!! The play area is so cute and stocked up with enjoyable toys. From the dollhouse to the shopping minis for girls to the train set complete with wooden tracks and tools, a huge dinosaur and more! The play/ waiting area couldn't be cuter, although the female toys do outweigh the boys toys pretty weightily. I've been here twice and always get what I want! We show a pic and VIOLA! Like barber magic! Today we saw a little girl coming out of the chair as we were entering, with the cutest little bob cut and bangs I've ever seen on a child. They really are good at cutting hair. Their patience with your child will blow you away. They carry on full conversations with your children and make them feel welcome- no awkward silences for my visits with Dora today. We have used Jungle Cuts for years with our 5 kids, but I'm not sure we'll be back. The quality has really declined. Today we showed up for our appointments and there was one employee present. She did not greet us and acted annoyed that we were even there interrupting her phone time. She spoke literally no English and acted frustrated that I couldn't understand her repeated Spanish. Very bad experience, and would no longer recommend this once well-run spot. read more

After reading reviews we thought we had found a good place to get our 15 mo son's first haircut. However, our experience was anything but positive. When we arrived our son was asleep. I told the lady who would cut his hair to give us a few minutes to wake him up. She said there was no need as it would be easier since he would not fuss or cry. I figured she knew what she was doing, after all it's a hair salon for kids. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, explained we just wanted a trim and wanted our son to keep his baby look. I also asked for her to only use scissors and no clippers. My husband sat on a chair in the back with our son asleep. She said she would not even have my husband or son wear a cape as to not wake him up. She said she was doing us a favor so we would not see him cry or be scared of the experience. As she started to cut his hair, we did as the lady asked, turned his head around, hold him a certain way, etc. I pointed out it looked like a lot of hair on the floor. She proceeded to say long hair was for girls and she engaged in inappropriate comments about boys looking too much like girls and so on. We let her talk as I was focused on what she was doing. She continued to cut his hair and she eventually pulled out the clippers. Initially, I did not say anything as she was not using them directly on his hair but with a comb. Eventually, she cut the back of his hair, around the ears and side burns with the clippers. When she's done she dusted my son and proceeded to the register. She did not comb his hair or asked us to hold him up to see the final cut. I asked once we went to the register and she ignored the question and said he would give us a First Cut certificate and a bag to put his hair. We payed for the hair cut and since I don't have a comb or anything fix his hair I wait until we get home. Once at home and baby is awake, I brush his hair only to realize his hair is extremely uneven, too short, one side burn is long and then he's missing the other one. After talking with my husband, we decide not to take him back to get his hair cut fixed, as we don't want his hair to be any shorter or further ruined. We are extremely disappointed with the salon, particularly the hair dresser, Sabrina Arroyo. The experience was not positive and all her comments where extremely out of place. We will not be returning to this place. read more

We needed a haircut for our son, last minute and thought we'd try somewhere close to us. Jungle Cuts was AMAZING!!! It had a little area for our son to play while we waited and the themed chairs with steering wheels kept him entertained. It wasn't all rainbows and butterflies because let's be honest, it's a 1year old getting a hair cut... The stylist who took care of us though was so fast, thorough, and worked around us so we could help redirect his attention. She did an incredible job with a moving target!! She was simply fantastic at anticipating all his sudden head-turns and squirms. Before the cut, she went over the best haircut for mini-pirate's hair type and showed us some pictures for examples. I loved the place! Perfect for kids. They have a wide variety of games for kids of all ages. All the ladies are super patient and friendly this is not their first rodeo. My two year old is afraid of getting his hair cut he squirms and moves all over the place, but some how Dora manage for him to stay seated and not move as much as he usually does. I got him a regular haircut nothing to extreme or too fancy and it turned out good enough for a child, next time we go I'll definitely ask for something more detailed and see how that goes since you do pay $18+ per child. These ladies are great! They are really good with kiddos and have a lot of patience. My 2 year old has been there 3 times! Tuesday's are a great deal because it's $5 off the hair cut. Cartoons are on to distract the kids and they get a sucker too. It's fast and quick yet efficient. They make sure to ask if you want it styled a certain way. One time I came home and noticed an area on my son's hair that I didn't like and they fixed his hair with no additional charge even though it was two days later. I originally thought I can live with it BC it was not too bad and his hair grows so fast but I kept staring at it and had to call them back. I had the most wonderful experience here. The price was very reasonable and the inside of the salon was definitely kid friendly. Dora was very fast and friendly and my daughter's hair looked amazing. Even though my daughter is four, this was her first hair cut and Dora put her completely at ease. She got to watch Moana as her hair was cut, which made her really happy. She was a little anxious about having her hair cut for the first time, and I was a little worried that she would be stressed out and fidgety, but after getting to pick out where she was going to sit and what she was going to watch she completely forgot to be anxious about the hair cut! Meh I wasn't impressed. After reading the reviews I thought we were going to be impressed. They did not wash my nieces hair for starters or blow dry it... $20 just to spray her hair down with water & give it a trim... not worth it! Disappointing to say the least as we went to another place last year with my niece that washed her hair, trimmed it & blow dried it. They also painted her nails which was the cherry on top of a great experience & all for $20. Jungle cuts is also not the cleanest looking place on the inside & outside. The kids play area was skeptical looking.... We won't be recommending this place to anyone or coming back! I would say save your money. read more
