However, as we pulled up, the store was closed and they had a tent up taking orders. I did find out this store is not a franchise but under the corporate umbrella.

The BEST all-around meal we've EVER had... and we are hard core foodies! Chef Melissa is professional and truly an expert in the kitchen mixing wonderful flavors and textures to make the meal outstanding. Working with Chef Melissa was super easy before we arrived to the island. I communicated with her via email with her responses to all emails easily within the hour. She is VERY attentive to her customers and communicates very clearly her needs and expectations on coming into the home to cook. I cannot wait to hire her again to cook for us the next time we're in the area! You will NOT be disappointed! Trust her and she will create the most exquisite menu around!

Instead of being open to the feedback, the response was immediately defensive. When we spoke, I was also surprised by how expensive the pricing was. While everyone is free to charge what they believe their services are worth, customer service should still be professional and welcoming. Unfortunately, I was met with an attitude from the very beginning of our conversation, which made the entire interaction uncomfortable. Because of that experience, I decided not to book. My family has hired private chefs for every vacation we've taken in Florida, and we've always had wonderful experiences. First impressions matter, and this one left me feeling completely turned off before we even had a chance to discuss the menu or the event.

Chef Mike's meals provided us with nutritious, great tasting meals, already prepared and easy for last minute dinners. Just what we needed. We were a little concerned about the cost to begin with, but we were pretty sure we were already spending as much if not more on our meals. We were right on this point, and it turns out that for us, using 941Organics actually saves us money. Then, this summer, we ended up taking a break due to vacations, life issues etc that didn't lend itself to a regular meal schedule. It soon became apparent that we spent FAR more money without Chef Mike's meals due to our tendency to make last minute dinner decisions, eating out too much, and the added expense at the grocery store, etc). But the reason I decided to review Chef Mike's service today is because now that we have re-instated his service, we are so pleased! I really enjoy all the variety he's now offering (smoothies, sides, different sized meals), but more than anything - the food is so good! I just had his miso soup and I swear it is the best miso I've ever had! I'm not exaggerating! Same with the tortilla soup, as well as the other meals we've had recently. Fresh, flavorful and I know Chef Mike is sourcing his ingredients from all the right places. It's like being able to eat out at great restaurants but paying far less. Not to mention the convenience and knowing the food is well-sourced. So, just wanted to say thanks Chef Mike and we are happy to be back!

This truly was so much more than anticipated. I had no idea how this worked. About a week before the show, each person received an email of the character they would be at the dinner. Overall, it was a nice time. We did a private buy out so it was only our group of 18. For the price the Pineapple Kitchen fell a little short. Since it was our private group and my birthday I requested a chocolate peanutbutter cake as dessert. I offered to bring my own in, Jenny (the owner) said their pastry chef could make it for us. Great, it's my favorite and it is my birthday after all. We got carrot cake instead. Jenny, apologized about the mix up but didn't offer anything to off set the disappointment for me, she did say she wouldn't charge us for the cake but the dessert was included with our $90/per person and she never mentioned an up charge for a custom dessert request. She could have cared less that my birthday dessert was a disappointment. They also double booked us so we were asked to push our 6:30 dinner to either 4:30pm or 8pm. I had the mahi wasn't palatable IMO, but the chicken was excellent (I had a bite of my friends). The dressing on the salad was okay; I wouldn't get it again. The serving and bartending staff were amazing and made up for the issues I had with the food. Overall, I wouldn't go back for the food but would go back for the experience and time with my friends.
