My husband stayed here on a business trip, he does not recommend this hotel at all. After traveling and work all day he came to the hotel room to Discover his room not up to standards. First there was spider webs all around the room with bugs in the webs. Second when he tried to lock the door he discovered it would not lock. Upon investigation he found that the hotel had put the deadbolt in but never cut the hole for the deadbolt to slid into to lock. After that he tried to take a shower only to find there was no hot water, and when he went to the front desk there was no one there. There was a sign for people to ring the door bell. He rang the door bell and waited and no one ever showed up. After that he returned to his room to try to get some sleep. He woke up in the early morning to turn the ac on to find out it wasn't working. That was the final straw for my husband so he slept in his truck. The next morning my husband went to the front desk to inform them about the things wrong in the room to once again find no one at the desk. Once again he rang the bell and still no one show up. For my husband that was the last straw he and 5 other co-workers all checked out and stayed at a different hotel.

Sawing logs until 5 minutes before we leave, it's good to be 4.

We stayed here for one night on our return trip from Yellowstone National Park to Oregon. On our…read moreway to Yellowstone we had stayed at a ramshackle motel seven miles north in Bliss, and I knew we had to find something better for our return trip. This was maybe $50 more than the dingy Bliss motel, and 100% worth it. The owners live on property and seem to put a lot of love and care into it. I really liked their yard decor; it think it helps make the place feel more comfortable for people of all walks of life. We stayed in the Hemingway cabin, which was just perfect for us as a solo couple. Everything was clean, including linens and bedding. The shower worked well. I appreciated the decor that emphasized the Hemingway theme, although I might suggest an accent color wall could jazz the place up a bit. Perhaps the wall behind the refrigerator. Speaking of, we were happy to find the standard amenities like microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. It was quite warm during our stay and, although an older unit, we found the AC to work well. The bed was comfy and we both slept really soundly! There is one lodge area with several rooms, and then the cabins scattered around the property. Although there were other guests using the common areas, we never felt crowded or like we were forced to interact due to layout. We enjoyed a couple friendly chats with other guests. We had dinner on our front deck and enjoyed the creek babbling away alongside us. The creek setting was AMAZING. Having just driven through endless miles of cow farms on Highway 30, we weren't prepared for this idyllic setting we landed in. I mean... stunning. Being from Western Oregon we're spoiled by scenery, so I don't say that lightly. We had a long drive ahead and I very much wish we had been able to spend more time here. Only two minor things to mention. First, this is very near the highway so if you want to sleep with windows open, you can expect some highway noise. It was not something that impacted our stay to any degree. Second, the entire entrance and parking areas are filled with round rock instead of gravel, which made my Toyota Corolla slip around like crazy. My boyfriend was puzzled by the choice. It's certainly nowhere near a deal breaker, just a minor annoyance. Area observations: The town of Hagerman just south has pretty sparse amenities, depending on what your typical travel style is. Bliss, the town to the north, is not much more than a truck stop with fast food. Highway 30 isn't really scenic at all unless you're right near the gorge area. And the entirety of Southern Idaho smells like cows...it can be better or worse depending on conditions, but it's there. We didn't have time to explore the area, but the Hagerman Fossil Beds sound cool and there's parks and natural areas to explore along there.

Nice hotel In Mountain Home Id. Young lady at the desk (Chloe I think) was very nice and helpful…read more Room is very nice considering the low cost!

This appears to be a fairly new building. The facility is clean. We arrived 15 minutes before check…read morein and our room wasn't ready but the gal at the front desk moved things around and got us a room. So that's a plus. However, I was very surprised when we started unpacking and found there were very few outlets in the room; FOUR to be precise and two of those were at the desk area, one of which was occupied by the clock radio. One side of the bed had NO outlets. Period. In this day and age with cell phones, tablets, iWatches, CPAP machines it is IMPERATIVE that there be an abundance of outlets. We both wear CPAP at night and that isn't an option. So I headed out to the desk to see if they could supply me with an extension cord. Fortunately they had ONE. That was it. Otherwise I was told "there's a Super Walmart down the road". Anyway, we're all set up for the night. And the room IS clean. There isn't a lot here in Mountain Home as far as hotels and they are all on the spendy side seeing as this isn't a resort. $150 a night is the most we've spent on our return trip and this is nearly 2x what I paid for a room last night and it HAD outlets at the bedside. Did I mention it was clean? At least it had that going for it. And it's right next door to The Wingery, a great restaurant!
