I deal with intoxicated people almost daily so it didn't bother me but it was unprofessional. We got through it. When I walked in I saw a dark spot on the floor. Touched it with my toe, it was wet so naturally I get on my hands and knees to smell it. Call me weird, I don't care. Turns out it's dog pee. Cool. Because I got the last room and the employee was drunk I opted not to bother telling him. What else was he gonna do? Flip flops on all night. The room was fine, like I said, I didn't expect much. It was a place to sleep and shower. When I checked out the next morning I told the employee about it. He was more sober and admitted he'd started in the Jack a little early the day before. I told him about the wet pee and he was upset about it. He asked why I didn't tell him and I responded that he gave me the last room and what else was he gonna do? He walked off to go look at the room and said they'd refund me. Still waiting for that refund. Quite the experience.

Allergens in room, Problems with door Someone from…read moremaintenance did examine the door and informed us that he was unable to adjust it. He said it just needed to be pulled shut. When we replied that we were concerned about the housekeeping department not closing the door completely so that it would be locked he said the housekeeping employees had been there for years and that it would not be an problem. Unfortunately, when we returned to our room after sightseeing later during our stay we discovered that housekeeping had not completely closed the door. We were able to enter the room without using our key. This was the second time we found our door was not secured. One employee's response about the door problem was "it's an older hotel"! Our numerous complaints about the door were mostly ignored and not addressed by hotel employees. The severe headaches and breathing problems I experienced only occurred while I was in the room. They began shortly after we were in the room awhile and completely went away after leaving the room. We only used the fireplace a few times for short periods at the beginning of our stay. We discontinued using it because we were afraid it was causing the headaches and breathing problems. There was definitely something in the room causing my headaches. My sister also had issues with her breathing while in the room. Her bed was further away from the fireplace. The manager's response To my complaint was uncaring and inappropriate. Her inference that the headaches and breathing problems were caused by hiking was ridiculous! I do have severe asthma and allergies but did not experience any headaches nor breathing problems while sightseeing (from our car). Hiking was not an option because of recent back and knee procedures. Walking is difficult and that is the reason I requested a room near the elevator when making the reservation. Unfortunately, the room we initially given was at the far end of the hallway. The second room was a few doors closer to the elevator but still quite a long walk for someone with mobility problems. Our complaints about the multiple issues we encountered during our stay were largely ignored. Management was not helpful.

So hunting fishing and hiking is epic. Lots of trail riding too . This Motel is perfect, coffee microwave,hot tub. It doesn't seem right somehow, as I don't live nearby (yet!). I have spent many a blissful night at the in-laws' cabin just a 5-minute walk away, and a good deal of those were also spent catching up on local events while having a beer at the Featherville Saloon. How else am I going to learn of the ever-changing politics of the Water Board, or just how much Lloyd has been driving around on his little gray tractor ("makin' things flat!"). Life in Featherville to me is life without Twitter, Facebook, TV, and radio, and the saloon is the welcome substitute for all of those things. Certainly those things are available here, and the increasing number of huge McCabins being built in the area have all those luxuries, and their inhabitants will undoubtedly soon permanently alter the landscape of Featherville and the saloon. So while you can, enjoy the simple pleasure of hanging out in the no-frills, friendly Featherville Saloon. Shoot some pool, put some money in the jukebox, and enjoy a cheap beer or cocktail while checking in on the latest news.
