Breakfast burrito
Tracy R.

Great açaí bowls, mediocre other breakfast food. If you're looking for an açaí bowl, this is the place to be! I came here on a Wednesday morning, food was out quickly. - Açaí (organic) bowl: 5/5. This was the star of my order, the açaí was sweet and flavorful but not in an artificial way, and the granola and fruit added nice textures and dimension to the bowl. Strawberries were sweet and yummy. -Breakfast burrito with a tomato tortilla (added bacon): 3/5. The burrito was quite sizable and full of potatoes, eggs, and cheese. There was a bit too much cheese and the burrito felt unbalanced, there's was no salsa, sauce, or "wow" factor that brought the burrito home for me. But if you're looking for something to fill you up, it's pretty good. -Granola smoothie: 1/5. I got this smoothie on a recommendation of a staff member, but I didn't like it at all. The blended granola gave the smoothie a grainy texture, and the strawberry or banana flavors weren't very distinct. It just kinda tasted... blah. Avoid this one. This is a small place, so not very many sitting chairs. The ambiance was friendly and welcoming, playing some Hawaiian tunes and cool vibes. Will be coming back for the açaí bowls for sure.

Guava shake

Nice spot to get your smoothie fix. The workers are nice and quick to make your order. I got the vita mango and guava shake. Both were super smooth and creamy, but tasted a bit similar. They were both enjoyable though so I can't complain. I saw another customer get the acai bowl, which looked massive and delish! I'd definitely opt to get that next time. While this isn't the most modern of places, it has a bright and homey feel to it which makes me wanna come back despite these not being the best smoothies I've had!

Overall a cute shop and a good place to stop for lunch. SERVICE: they seemed to be understaffed so it took about 20 minutes to get our food, but we weren't in a rush so we didn't mind. they gave us a giant cup of granola when i just asked for extra granola - so nice FOOD: pretty average acai bowls. the breakfast burrito was so big for just $4.95. can't beat those prices. wish that the outdoor dining tables were more clean, but other than that, i had a good experience.

Açaí bowl with coconut, chia seeds, & honey added

Over this past weekend I found myself craving an açaí bowl. In the past, I have enjoyed the açaí primo bowl at Jamba Juice, but I wanted to continue pursuing my goal to personally seek out small business alternatives. Amazon Juices was a fantastic find. I was greeted kindly by Hannah, the lovely cashier who helped me this Sunday. I informed her that I had never been there before, and she answered my many questions considerately. I definitely wanted to try their açaí bowl, but was between the two sizes they offer. Hannah pointed out the minuscule price difference, which led me to go with the 24oz, and I'm very happy I did. I requested that honey, chia seeds, & coconut be added. It was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of that bowl. The amount of granola that the bowl comes with was very generous, and the same goes for all the toppings I asked for. Without the toppings I ordered, the price was about the same as the açaí bowl at Jamba juice, except you'll get a higher quantity of better quality ingredients here. My only complaint - No goji berries! I think you guys could really benefit from adding that as a topping option. I know I'd order it.

Dragon fruit smoothie bowl

I have been wanting to try Amazon Juices for a long time. I was craving a smoothie bowl so I decided to try it out. First off, the decor is so fun and cute! Also the employees are very kind and helpful. I ordered the dragon fruit smoothie bowl for $9.75. I thought it was a little pricy at first, but when I saw the size and toppings on the bowl I had no regrets. The smoothie was bright and delicious. The fruit was super fresh. It was very nice and refreshing on a hot day. Overall, Amazon Juices is definitely worth the money. This is definitely going to be a new regular spot for me!

Breakfast sandwich with bacon and avocado

I've been here a couple of times now, I've tried their acaí bowl, their granola smoothie, all of their empanadas(spinach and cheese one is my favorite), their breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, and banana smoothie(so so good!) It has ALL been delicious. Their portions are very fair for the price. If you're looking for a delicious smoothie, something filling and tasty. This is the spot to go!

I was REALLY craving an acai bowl as an afternoon pick-me-up and this hit the spot! I got their smaller sized acai bowl and it was ready in about 5 minutes. Friendly service and an overall pleasant experience. They have a huge range of other menu options that totally appeal to me, which include smoothies, juices, and actual meals (plates, tacos, burritos). Free parking around the corner in a lot that looks like it's for the condo building next door.

Gluten-free avocado toast & very berry smoothie. Yum!
Bree G.

This place is awesome. I have a banana allergy which has made smoothie/acai experiences in the past difficult. This place always rinses their blenders before they make my smoothies and I have never had an issue. I really appreciate when businesses choose to be compassionate about something like that. They also carry many gluten-free food options! I would recommend their avocado toast. Totally satisfying!

We ordered the turkey sandwich, which had very fresh ingredients, clam chowder: warm and stands out among local competition Cheese bread, bagel and breakfast bagel: warm, soft and crispy. As far as the service goes, if you want small talk you'll get small talk, if not then the owner gets straight to work making the food and delivers it very fast, as well as managing many other orders. I don't visit this location enough, and the owner is also very active in the community. If you are ever in the village and looking for a quick, affordable, and delicious bite this is the spot to go to.

Food: 5 stars. Service: 3 stars…read more The food was excellent and made the visit worthwhile. The staff, however, came across as a bit cold and unfriendly. I get that it's beach time and things move at a different pace, but being a little nicer to customers and visitors would make a big difference. Hopefully next time the service will be as good as the food. EDITED - Saturday, June 20, 2026 I'm updating my review after reading the owner's response. First, I want to clarify that the response appears to be a copy-and-paste message aimed at people leaving negative reviews. If you had actually read my original review, you would have noticed that I never complained about the food, the wait time, prices, staffing, or anything related to the quality of the business itself. In fact, I enjoyed the food and had no issue waiting. I visited on a Thursday, and the café wasn't packed. The owner was clearly working hard, and I respect that. However, when I walked in and said hello, I was completely ignored. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no sense that my business was appreciated. That was the only reason I left a 3-star review in the first place. The response talks about staffing shortages, minimum wage, food costs, and the challenges of running a small business. I understand all of that. Running a business is difficult. But those challenges don't really address the point I was making. A simple "Hi," "Welcome," or even a quick smile costs nothing and goes a long way. I also don't think customers should be made to feel responsible for business challenges such as labor costs or rent. Those are realities of ownership that every business owner has to navigate. That said, after thinking about it, I'm changing my review from 3 stars to 5 stars because the food was genuinely good, and I do support small businesses. My hope is simply that future customers are greeted with a little more warmth and appreciation when they walk through the door. One final thought: when someone leaves a critical review, it may be worth responding directly to their experience rather than posting a generic response. Sometimes there's valuable feedback hidden inside reviews that aren't really about the food at all. I wish you and your business success, and I genuinely hope you continue serving great food for years to come.

The parking lot was completely packed, but luck was on our side and spots started opening up in a flash. Oh my goodness, it was my first time visiting, and I was completely blown away! There were cases upon cases of spectacular prepared foods, ranging from chilled delights to piping-hot comfort dishes. You can grab a table to dine right in the cafe or have everything packed up to take home. Pro tip: grab your number first, and while you wait for it to be called, go explore all the incredible offerings! The selection is endless--you'll wander past vibrant cold salads and sandwiches before moving on to the hot food station, which is brimming with soups, pastas, and cozy casseroles. My party went all out and ordered the chicken salad, a hearty beef barley soup, the Gorgonzola spinach pasta, and a polenta salad. Every single bite was just delicious! Don't forget to scope out the refrigerated grab-and-go section too. It is loaded with ready-to-heat masterpieces like lasagna, enchiladas, and meatloaf that looked absolutely amazing. Honestly, the price points are so great that if I lived just a little bit closer, I might never turn on my own stove again! Saving the absolute best for last: The Bakery! This is easily the happiest corner of the entire cafe. Since it's the Halloween season, the cupcakes and cookies were spookily decorated with the cutest bats and pumpkins galore. They had a spectacular lineup of at least four to six different styles of cookies, cakes, and pies. As a serious connoisseur of berry pies, I treated myself to a slice of the Marionberry pie and savored every single heavenly bite. They also had breathtakingly decorated whole cakes ready for purchase that looked like total works of art. Even with the gloomy weather outside, this place brought all the warmth and brightness!

Chaos when you enter. The only communication is barked through a microphone. Whereupon you raise your hand as if it's a privilege to mill about and spend this much on what is sub-par food. My $2 deviled egg was quite crusted on the top from sitting too long and utterly ordinary. Nevertheless, I ate it because I was starving. It was the best of what I ordered. The Italian ficelle was VERY greasy and not tasty, not balanced, not good. I used to like their jambon version but this wasn't good. A quarter of the way through I won't eat the rest. Decent baguette isn't worth an unpleasant and imbalanced filling. I'm hoping the pate will be better. Otherwise I've just wasted nearly $30 including tip (for what service I'm not sure) on a meal that I won't eat even a quarter of. Want salt and pepper? Good luck. Need a knife? Maybe you'll get a fork after asking. Yay me. Need a napkin? Go all the way down to the coffee area. Really--I am profoundly unimpressed and feel ripped off. This was not quality food or a pleasant experience. I'm going elsewhere to get a decent meal because I'm really hungry and don't want to eat what I got here. Not a great look.

The meat had a subtle smokey flavor and the roasted peppers were almost tangy, but it sort of melted away into the richness of the mayo and turkey. It was tasty, but the chimichurri really "wowed" me. I don't think I'd order the Hot Bird next time, but I'd drop the $14+tip on the chimichurri again in a heartbeat.

Since it was an off-time, I also had the whole patio to myself. I ordered the Garden Gimlet (which I finally learned with a hard G, like "gift"). The drink arrived ice-cold (which hit especially well on such a hot day in Capitola) with a balance of punchy fresh lime juice, delicately herbed syrup, and the classic botanical sophistication of gin. The drink also comes with a decorative edible flower. I don't know my flowers too well but of the two different flowers I had in the two gimlets I ordered, both had a very subtle licorice flavor (nothing at all close to jäger) and an herbaceous quality. Pro-tip: dip the flower in the drink for an even more complex experience. The drinks and the ambiance were both excellent but the service took the experience to the next level. I had the pleasure of being served by Erik, who is normally the bartender but was also my server today. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and served a consistent and delicious drink each of my rounds.
