I don't know if it's a curse of just lazy bad service of Spring St on this side of town ... From the Optum Healthcare across the street to the McDonalds across the other side and to this Amazon Fresh ... a trifecta of terrible service on this street continues I've never been to an Amazon Fresh, so low key was excited to go in. I place a small order on Amazon to pick up in store. Although it wasn't on the way home, it wasn't too far from my work place so I figured I'd go check out the place while picking up the order. On the app I checked in to notify I was on my way. Once arrived it prompted that to meet at customer service area. Once I entered place was pretty quiet and not busy at all, but looked organized and clean. Didn't see to many employees around with one cashier working with no line. I made my way to the customer service area, with one person ahead of me making returns. I briefly waiting before my turn... I walked up to counter and said "hello" and "how are you? to the staff member before mentioning I'm was here to pick up an order...NOT ONE WORD WAS SAID TO ME. Sure I'll let not saying hello back is fine, but no eye contact no acknowledgment of order information...NOTHING. I'd get more interaction speaking to a brick wall. Kind of get me all riled up again just thinking about it. Yes it was that bad, if your thinking about my experience. This was my first visit like I said so I wasn't 100% sure on the process, I showed the employee my phone and I even asked him, I can TELL you my order number? Again not a word. He walked around came back and ... Let the Heaven Gates open! He spoke! ... In and unsatisfied tone "Let me see the order number." He walked around and I saw he found my bag with my order and the icing on the cake just threw it on the counter and walked off. Not a - Here you go - Thank you - nothing at all. I walked off kind of bad mood thinking oh I can wait to write a review on this guy/store haha. I even got a have goodnight from the lone cashier as I passed by him as I exited so that saved this review being a one star. My issue is the reservation slots you place your order 6-7 hours ahead and when the pick up time is nearing they text you saying your order is late. Trying to get a time.or a hold of someone at the store it is hard as it prompts you to the 1800 number. It is better to do your own purchase because pick up time for busy people never works out. First time ever here, didn't even know about this place. It was a bit overwhelming when we walked in but Joanna quickly came to.our rescue and walked us through how the Dash Cart worked. Joanna had amazing customer service, as she walked us through the cart instructions she'd make sure we understood before she moved on to the next step, very friendly and polite, if it hadn't been for her we probably would have been standing there awhile. The store is huge, lots of room.not crowded at all. Have plenty of room to move about. Plenty of associates roaming around working and willing to help if you need it. Grocery selection was pretty impressive. Great prices on some item but some things were a bit higher priced than i expected, some items i went in for had a higher price tag than some.of the competitors but with the technology that's put into the store I can see why some items have a higher price tag. We found some Blue Diamond Smokehouse almonds (big bag) for $2.58, normally almost $9.00. We grabbed 2 bags and not every bag scanned at the same price so we called for.Joannas help thinking maybe we did something wrong, she was puzzled at well. Eva came over to assist and again was puzzled as to why the price difference, she reconciled things for us, customer service here is amazing. This was my favorite place to go for their salad and hot bar. I drive past Ralphs, Sprouts,Vons and Stater Brothers to get here. Recently they changed their hours on the hot bar and it is closed from 2:00 - 4:00pm. Today I was there at 5:10pm. No hot bar. I asked an employee and his response was "Not working." This is not a reason but an excuse. Just like there wass no califlower on the salad bar but there was plenty in the produce section. Went to Amazon Fresh this past Sunday for our weekly grocery shopping, and it was close to 8 p.m. Good thing we went a little late in the day, because the store was not crowded at all. A nice shopper gifted me a $10 off coupon in the store. Thank you, kind lady. I will make a point to look homely in my flip flops during future shopping trips. DASH SMART CARTS. These were corralled inside the store and not with the regular carts. If you want a dash cart, go inside. My sister and I did not know, so we grabbed whatever was outside. Standard carts, mini carts, and kiddie carts are also available. PRODUCE. Produce section was not well stocked. Prices were not the cheapest, nor were the quality the best. I want to attribute that to the hour we visited the store, but then again, being this location just opened about two weeks ago, you would expect it to be consistently well stocked. I just grabbed the mixed spring salad that would last me the week. The price was $4.99, like Vons, Pavilion, or Ralphs. MEAT COUNTER. Not much of a selection. I want to say, it even lacked what a basic meat counter would have. Stater Bros has got so much more going on with their meat counter than this Amazon Fresh location. The attendant was attentive, and said he could not ground pork for me. :-| Well, there goes my idea of making savory pork banh bao. No pre-packaged ground pork either. You would think a service counter would be able to ground the pork loin they had on display. DELI. Who could resist pizza? Just had to try it. Cheaper than Costco, but definitely falls short in quality. It was a full 18" pizza, but the crust was weird/lop-sided, meaning some parts had crust while the other half resembled a thin crust pizza. I ordered a half/half custom pizza--half pep and half supreme. Dough was chewy, and probably was not cooked all the way. Sauce did not have a robust taste. Seemed to lack all the Italian herbs that usually shines through the acidity. Maybe new kids learning how to cook pizza??? I'll try their pizza again another day. I went in with higher expectations. Prices for some things were great, like their store brand items (Happy Belly and WholeFoods 365 brand), but for the most part, their regular prices were not too far from your regular grocery store. For this particular trip, Amazon Fresh definitely was not as stocked as my regular grocery store--Pavilion and Vons. Seriously, I took the last sweet cream and caramel macchiato International Delight coffee creamer. I also took the last Oscar Mayer sub kit and one of the last few Fage 2% yogurts (because they were completely out of non-fat and 1%). What I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE were the selections of pre-packaged marinated proteins and side dishes in the refrigerated section, near the deli. This reminds me of the old Fresh and Easy, which did not survive the American market. Amazon brought back the grab and go concept for the busy working individual. Y'all making life fresh and easy, but under the Amazon name. Not even mad at ya! Because of this specific concept, I will be returning. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Very strange experience. The atmosphere is sort of what I would expect of a dystopian future where AI overlords are in control. People here are barely polite to indifferent. The selection is so-so. I was going to give it a 3 star rating for "meh", but during self checkout I accidentally hit two bags instead of the one I had used. I tried editing my cart, but that triggered one of the employees to walk over. I was greeted by "what is it now". I didn't realize I had interacted with this guy lurking around the self checkouts. When I explained I accidentally hit two bags instead of one, he stated to himself "ten cents" as if he disapproved of my interrupting his glaring. Had I known trying to edit my cart would have attracted his attention, I would have just moved on. I did say thank you to be friendly thinking maybe he's just having a bad day. I'm so mad to be Dumbfounded when I can no longer find my cart with the groceries I have picked. Left it for a moment to grab a pizza, lo & behold, my cart & stuff is no longer to be found! I love Amazon fresh and their pizza.. but not from here. This location has the most inconsistent pizza. Some days the pizza is undercooked, other days the dough is way more thick than usual, and still undercooked. Other days the pizza has a full dump of cheese on it. To use the Amazon shopping cart, you have to download the Amazon shopping app. The Amazon cart is super advanced. It takes pictures of the items you are putting into the cart and logs it in the smart screen. Each item you put in, it gives you the subtotal. If you decide to take items out, it'll subtracts and cross it out from the list on the smart screen. The cart limits bulky items but it is super cool to use. The items are your everyday food necessities. Some products are a bit more expensive than other supermarkets though. I like that there are hot foods and deli foods. The pizza is $1.79 per slice. The slice is pretty bit similar to Costco slices. The sushi was descent. There are signs on the floor to show the direction people have to walk along. read more

I stopped in to return several items purchased from Amazon online and was pleasantly surprised to discover a full scale grocery store that is Amazon Fresh. As a spoiled Bristol Farms, Lazy Acres, and Whole Foods lover, my attention was quickly caught by the soup and salad bar. You better believe it I loaded up a large container of some high quality New England clam chowder and another large box with a custom built salad for several days of work sustenance! I picked up some fresh salmon sushi with a delicious miso-sesame glaze that I inhaled on my drive to work. Additionally, I scored some stocking stuffers for my family, found several allergy-friendly fun food options for one of my daughters, and even brought home some fun to have pantry and deli items in preparation for Christmas! The 5 employees I interacted with in-store were excellent--all friendly, cheerful, and helpful! I will definitely be returning to this Amazon Fresh grocery store often! This Amazon store has two managers that have completely different information from each other. The first manager I spoke to, informed me that the two bone roast that was advertised on sale sold out on the first day, but to come back the next morning because he will be getting a shipment on Sunday morning. I arrived at 8:15 to pick up the roast but I am told by an employee the shipment is coming in late around 11:00 a.m., I decided to speak to the store manager to confirm the information given. Spoke to Nicolette, and she informed me that, she knows for a fact that they will not have the roast available today nor any time soon, because she received two cases and once they were sold out, they will likely not get anymore. What I find strange is that both managers as well as the other employees, all had different explanations. My recommendation to Amazon Corporate is to make sure all employees get the same information. At other major grocery stores, the store manager will offer a comparable discount with another similar product or a coupon to compensate you for your wasted time and trouble. Also, they have no way to find the product you are looking for at another nearby Amazon Grocery Store. When you come to this store make sure you layer or wear a jacket because it's a freezing inside!!! read more

First off, our cashier, Tamika, was AMAZING! She went above and beyond, just an absolutely lovely human! She made our experience memorable, which is hard to do while just shopping for groceries! The entire staff is friendly and helpful every time I have been here, friendly in a sincere way that doesn't feel forced like some other markets I go to. The store is clean and the produce deals are pretty epic with prime, and about those $10 dollar coupons though! I love that it can be a one stop shop, especially if I'm returning an Amazon order or just getting essentials. Anybody who gripes about them not having a great selection, go to the supermarket then and pay more for everything else. If I want a specialty item, I go here first and stop at Vons or TJ's on my way home, but Amazon fresh is always my first stop. It's NOT a supermarket, which is why I love it. This was my first experience at an Amazon Fresh location. Very cool! I feel like you could get easily get carried away. Once you sync your amazon account to your literal shopping cart-you're ready to start. As you move through the aisles, the cart has a screen to let you know the items nearby. Cameras on the shopping cart seem to scan the items you place in your cart. There were a few times the camera/scanner didn't catch the item so we Had to try again. There are plenty of employees to assist. Most are packaged items in bags for pickup. The store is big and very tidy. Some of the prices are reasonable and some items are expensive. There's a salad bar/hot food area also. Parking is plentiful and angled-which i like. Would definitely return! read more

Ribs for Sunday. Yay, I'm cooking them with our smoker. I needed a few extra items for our family dinner tonight and so I ordered them on Amazon Fresh and set for a pickup from 9am-10am. Guess what?!?!? I got it on time. Hahaha. It was easy and all those workers are extremely nice. All employees were friendly and willing to help. I have spinal compression and a young lady helped me grab a trolley so I can take it all to my car. As for the store itself, it's lovely. Clean, easily labeled and has fresh produce. Easy return for Amazon goodies; otherwise, decently stocked produce and interesting grocery store. I stopped by during food fest too and was able to get a free tote bag. Score! I usually come here for the "for sale" items, I've seen some tilapia on sale here, and sometimes have been able to find Whole30 compliant coconut milk. All in all, I'll come here for a few items, but typically will go to Bargain Outlet next door for more of a good deal. Not a bad little store though! read more

Probably the best deal in this joint is the 15 cent banana. Nonetheless I like going to this location for its other options. Like any other Fresh store, this location is nicely spaced out, clean, and organized. Other than that one time when an employee couldn't care less about helping me, all my other interactions with the staff have been positive. Accidentally walked out of the store with the dash cart, which I did not know you couldn't take to your car (kind of defeats the purpose of a cart but whatever). The security person came running outside and started yelling at me, accusing me of purposefully trying to forcefully break the cart (I was not). I told him in a calm voice that he didn't need to get so upset, I didn't know you couldn't take them outside. He screamed "WELL NOW YOU DO!!!!" at the top of his lungs. He then jerked the cart out of my hands and dragged it into the store, shoving it over by the hand baskets. Then he yelled "YOU COULD HAVE JUST USED ONE OF THESE!!!" I had had enough by then, so I said (calmly) "Well, these don't have barcode scanners on them and I wanted to try them. You can keep your judgment to yourself." His head exploded and he basically chased me out of the store, staying inches from me, screaming at me that I needed to know "the protocol." Dude, I don't know who you're mad at, but it's not me.
