4 orders and nothing but problems every order. Delivery times are 36-48 hours from time of order. They have a 2 hour delivery window that turns into 3 because their orders are always delivered late. Customer service is in a foreign Country so mix ups and order issues can't be fixed quickly. They canceled an order because they were so late the order would have been delivered after 11PM at night and the rescheduled new order for 36 hours later, so order was received 4 days after the order was placed. They have about a 10 percent substitution rate and rarely pick decent substitutions so 3 hour window becomes about a 4.5 hour order window because you have to start monitoring your order 90 minutes till first listed delivery availability. Just an awful process with lack of customer service or accountability. I'll never place another order again. read more

I love the products here and the employees are truly amazing. The problem is this place notoriously has empty shelves. It doesn't matter what day or time you go. I personally have gone 5 weeks in a row and have never successfully completed a shopping trip. I have been realistic knowing not every store will have everything in stock but when i haven't been able to complete a minimum of 50% percent of my list this store has completely failed and that is the only thing consistent. Empty shelves of BASIC products. It was nice to have a new market , unfortunately this market isn't serious as they've been open a while now and have done nothing but alienate their client base with these annoyances and inconvenience. Amazon usually is pretty good at business so it really is an anomaly they failed at this location . Don't waste your time coming here , they don't care about your time . read more

I have shopped Amazon Fresh Fontana twice now and each time I have walked out frustrated. At the check stand, they have the standard debit/credit card machine to pay, but you CANNOT pay with a debit card. This is ridiculous. The cashier simply says, 'oh we don't take debit cards" you can only pay with the Amazon app using your Prime account. I will not shop in the store again. read more

My first visit in the store was today 09/22/24 and I very disappointed. I wanted a small clam chowder and there were no small cups in the dispenser. I proceeded to ask a young African American girl about the cups and she was non responsive. A second time she was asked and she said there were no cups. She never took the time to look. At 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning, the dispenser should be stocked. After the 4th time I had to tell her listen to what I am saying and had to call her on it and then she began to look and lo and behold there were cups. Her attitude was unprofessional and not warming to customers whom are welcoming a new business in the community. This staff member needed Customer service training. I did purchase the soup. Very disappointed when I got home and it was watery as well as appeared to be can soup. AMAZON FRESH You gotta do better. You have lost a customer in me. The greeter at the entrance was excellent. I can't shop in grocery stores like I used to this is a very convenient service to offer. They are always right on time when I need them.

I decided to give this place a try and went with my wife. She was trying unsuccessfully to link her phone to the cart a few feet from the greeter. He just stood there a blank stare on his face as my wife struggled. I decided not to wait for her and walked around aimlessly looking for what I needed. Meanwhile there was a group of about 15 new hires looking at a video also a few feet from my wife. Now the smart thing for the trainer (I guess that's what you call the person who pressed the "play" button on the video) to do would have been to take this opportunity to take some recruits over to my struggling wife to train them in how to help a customer in distress. No such luck. After a few laps around the store trying to find what I needed we ended up leaving empty handed. Maybe they'll improve, but I'm not going back to find out! read more

I've been here two times just to return something I purchased on Amazon. I like the self service kiosk here for returns because the store has been empty when I go. It beats having to wait in line at The UPS store where I would normally do my Amazon returns. This morning, 10/11/24, I went in the store to do a return and had no problems with doing that. On my way out, I saw some Halloween candy that was on sale and priced lower than the sale happening at Target. I picked up a couple of bags and headed to the self check out line. I entered my Amazon phone number at the register and began scanning the bags. One of them scanned fine but the other bag "could not be found" according to the machine. I stopped and looked around and waived down a staff member down an aisle. I don't know why, but the staff member looked afraid and seemed shy to help. Maybe she was new. Anyway, I just looked for someone else instead because I was kind of in a hurry. Another staff member, who looked like a supervisor, tried to assist. He said he had to cancel my cart and redo the checking process, but then he couldn't find his badge to process the cancellation. Once he did, he asked me if I remembered the price of the candy bag. I said, "no" so it took more time for him to look it up. At this point, I felt the whole process took way too long for buying 2 bags of candy at the self checkout with no one else in line. It wasn't worth it to me, and told the worker never mind. He did apologize. What prompted me to write this review was not really my experience with checking out, but because of the greeter at the front door. I presume she was a greeter and not security because she wasn't wearing a security uniform. I noticed her when I walked in and she didn't say anything. There was no "Welcome," or "Hello," and there wasn't a "Goodbye," or "Thank you for coming." So, why do you have a person standing there saying nothing? If she had, I may have not felt a need to write this review. Other than to do Amazon returns, I don't know that I would return and shop here. read more

I visited the store on Thanksgiving morning for a few last minute items. The shelves had a sale item but there were none out. I asked the employee named Alex for help. He was stocking another aisle but came over to help. He checked stock with his scanner and went to the back to find me two cases of Baja Blast. I made a visit here yesterday evening just to see how it was . First impression was reminded me of the old Fresh and easy market or Walmart neighbor hood market. I asked the greeter if you need the Amazon app to enter she said no. Ok I then head to get a full size pizza and none was available. You have to ask them to make you a whole pizza to go. Whole pizza was advertised as 6.99 and when you get there its 9.99. Fine ok. I head to find frosting and all the frosting is prices @ 4.19- 5.00 dollars are you kidding me?? Wasnt impressed at all anyone can visit this store I thought it was for Amazon prime members only but nope its not. Also wasted my time trying to get the app and didnt even need it to check out Lol. Would I visit here again probly not! Overpriced and nothing special in my humble opinion! Pizza was awful too! read more

I was really disappointed with all the hype with this Amazon Fresh we had purchased some fruit with strawberries and they weren't sweet at all. I guess I was expecting more there was no good deals to me it was a lot higher than Stater Brothers better deals at Stater Brothers. Also I'm highly disappointed my mother was in mine for the grand opening and she was standing there nobody helped her about receiving a number to get the $100 gift card I guess they thought she was waiting for somebody and people were telling her to move which I'm really really mad about she nobody went up and asked if she needed any help from the Amazon employees so I'm really upset about that I don't think that's right that people push elderly behind. I just wanna say that on the opening day Amazon fresh had promised that the first hundred people would receive $100 for waiting in line for the grand opening of this new store and I was very disappointed in this multimillion dollar company when they gave me five lousy dollars on a gift card and a lousy plushy banana toy for my daughter for waiting for over 4 hours and being number 51 in line, please give a multimillion dollar company like this treats their customers like this I'd rather go to my business somewhere else like Ralphs, which is right across the bridge from this location at least they're honest and don't deceive their customers. The one star is only for Kaitlyn in the Amazon return section of the store. All of the other associates I passed getting to the return area were nice and greeted me. Kaitlyn completely ignored me and gave me annoyed looks. She wreaked of hating her job. However, everything is overpriced and not to mention, a lot of the items I bought happened to be expired already (i.e. bought a variety box of chips that did not have an expiration date on the outside but the individual bags indicated they were already expired) or expiring within a couple days. Went here for the first time to buy some items needed as it is close by our house .., got couple items , fruits, downy clothe softener , cheese , milk , I thought I saved $10 . When I checked all the items I bought from 3 different grocery stores , Amazon Fresh prices are $1 to $3 dollars more , and when I totaled the price of all the item I got "IF" I bought those from target, stater brothers I saved $26-$22 respectively . So NEVER again . I'm sharing this review for OTHERS to be warned . Please spend your hard earned money wisely . This store has an amazing variety of products. The store is new so, it's sparkling clean and well-stocked. We really didn't need assistance but, no one asked either. There were some employees wandering around but none of them so much as acknowledged us. The prices are typical. Some things are a good deal and some are not. I will never be coming here. The shift manager at the time, Celina, did horrible explaining why I couldn't have scanned the barcode they gave at the return center, that's for $10 off for $40 or more in purchase. She tells me that it's not allowed and the store's gotten in trouble for it. Then she wants me to rat out who were the employees doing it. Yet, they still have (or had) the paper out by the counter for anyone to scan. Then, different assistant manager, Ana, comes and tells me the same and tells me they will request to remove it. Again, simply rip the paper out and problem fix. But no, they felt the need to explain doffeeently. Also, apparently when requesting to speak to a higher up, their supervisor or branch manager DIANA, apparently it's more important for them to finish a call rather then putting it on hold and handle with a customer. It's okay because I made a great complaint to Amazon fresh and expect to see them do further investigation with the issue. And to the supervisor that I couldn't come in touch with because you were too busy on the phone with who knows who, I would suggest hiring better management or someone taking your place that takes customers seriously. Hopefully, I hear back from customer service. In conclusion, this place has allowed false advertising "returning customers..." not "returning item customers" and why request to remove that advertisement when it's so easy to tear off. Came here with my partner on a Sunday night to check out the store and had beer in our cart when we were checking out with the dash cart it said on the screen to present an ID to an associate. The associate then said sorry you can't check out alcohol with the dash cart. That's fine...but why does the screen show an alert when you are walking out saying to show an ID before checkout if alcoholic drinks aren't allowed to be purchased with the dash cart. Anyways that wasn't the only thing that happened, when we went to the register to checkout since we couldn't buy the beer with the dash cart we noticed the price of some produce was higher with the cashier than on the dash cart. My partner then told me when we were leaving the store that the cashiers Fupa was sitting on the scale and making the produce heavier. Obviously my partner didn't want to disclose that to the cashier because that comment would have been awkward and disrespectful. But the cashier was so sweet and she probably didn't notice her Fupa was on the scale. Other than that the store is nice and the employees are sweet. read more

So I've gone to the store a handful of times to now leave a review. Prices are a bit .. pricey but it's worth it for certain products with prime. The store is neat and I love the whole concept of it! The associates are sweet and helpful but I did request a manager one night and the worker asked co workers around to try and solve my question. They seemed hesitant to call for the manager ? I later understood why because she was very rude and walked off. No proper customer service. I recommend going morning time when there are more managers that are very friendly and ready to help me out with a great attitude! The sushi is delicious!
