Sad to see this place go. It was my family's go to spot for a quick and easy grocery shopping experience. There was plenty of parking, curbside pick up spots and everything we needed - including a customer service area to do our Amazon returns! They're expected to close on March 13, 2026, and have discounted some of their merch. I'm sure as we approach closer to the date, the larger the discount will be along with the amount of SKUs. Rumor is a Whole Foods will take place of this location. For the budget friendly people, this location will be such a loss as prices at Whole Foods comes at a premium. Going to miss this place, but welcome a Whole Foods any time. Hoping there's a bar and food like the other location on Ventura in Sherman Oaks called Sherman Hops with a wide selection of craft beer but not sure if it's possible because of the footprint. Very clean inside and full of staff restocking on items or preparing for online order pickup. I applaud the store for the variety of some things, such as sauces and seasonings.. But I couldn't find several ingredients I needed to buy, which is unfortunate since I would rather park and go to one store! I couldn't find a specific brand of liquid seasoning, there isn't pork belly, and the seafood section was really only shrimp, frozen fish fillets, and salmon. Only Asian noodles I came across were all Maruchan products. So yeah. I hope there's more products in the future here to really make someone do all their grocery shopping neede here! Parking lot can be very busy on certain times of day but it's a handy lot with different businesses for different needs nearby (bank, coffee, pharmacy, etc). read more

I am absolutely devastated that they are closing. This is our go to neighborhood market and as much as I've loved the Ralph's that was here before, nothing beats this Amazon Fresh and I've been a fan since the day they opened. The employees are friendly and go out of their way to help, from the cleaning lady to the cashiers, to the manager - I've had a very positive experience shopping here and I came here a lot. The store is always clean and well organized and the Amazon drop off was so convenient. The produce is always fresh and well stocked, and the prices could not be beat for the quality. This is the first time I used curbside pickup using Amazon Fresh. It was surprisingly a very simple seamless process. I placed my order on Amazon.com. Then I chose "pickup" instead of "delivery." It automates a timeline guideline when you can pick it up that day which is first thing in the morning. They text you a message that states for you to select the link attached to inform them 10 minutes before you anticipate to arrive. One you arrive at the Amazon Fresh location you pick a "curbside pickup numbered spot from 1-9. Then it tells you that an associate will be out within 5-7 minutes. Late deliveries with no respect for the customers time. I pay an Amazon grocery subscription every month to get 1 hour delivery windows. Tonight I ordered a small order so I put a 2 hour window of 7-9pm and here I am at 9:09pm and the delivery hasn't even left the store. Just received this email as well that my order will now be here some unspecified time before 11:30pm. A while back this used to be a Ralph's store which eventually closed and was dormant for a short while. Yes, you will find most of the things you need here. They also carry a good deal of the 365 brand products of Whole Foods. Maybe I haven't frequented the Fresh stores enough yet but the vibe isn't quite as vibrant, if you know what I mean. The staff is fine yet feels reduced in volume perhaps. I can't put my finger on it but something is missing. Again, it will provide what you are looking for. read more

This place is AMAZING!! I have never seen prices like they have. Progresso Soups at $1.97 or Health Choice Meals at $1.98...these are not temporary prices but consistent. This is now my only grocery store, BECAUSE it is amazing how much money I save here. It has cut my grocery bill almost in 1/2!! Additionally, the employees are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful, the carts are clean and modern and not like out of a dump like most places. Plus parking is easy. What's not to like, I mean LOVE!! I tell everyone about this store, I think my friends think I'm weird at this point, but it is like shopping in circa 1960's prices. I love shopping here! The produce is wonderful, and, while I can't find everything I need, I often find some items that are more difficult to find at other stores. The majority of the people who work there are kind and helpful. As another reviewer commented, I've been unable to find out how to contact the manager, so am leaving this review instead. I had a negative experience the other day while attempting to return an item purchased in the store (not on Amazon). It should've been very simple: I'd inadvertently picked up the wrong type of M&Ms the previous day, so an exchange would have been perfect. The M%Ms were all $3.99, but for whatever reason, Amazon Fresh doesn't do exchanges. Now I'd attempted to return the M&Ms the previous evening on my amazon app. It didn't work, though; I never saw the screen where you pick which payment the money will be returned to, instead getting an error message 2 times in a row. When the gentleman scanned the M&Ms, apparently his computer told him I'd already completed an online return. I explained what happened and this is when things got annoying. He clearly didn't believe me. The issue was that I'd supposedly "chosen" to have our credit card refunded. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT, because it takes too long. As had already told him, I never saw that screen... Just the error message. He then told me he would get his manager who told me I should try returning something else...I'm not sure what that was supposed to prove: when the page came up where you could choose where to put the refund, he got a self-satisfied look on his face that I did not appreciate. Although I haven't returned things to Amazon fresh, I have returned many, many things to Amazon over the years we've been prime members, and the process appears to be very similar. I certainly did not need to be schooled on it by some smug, wet behind the ears "manager". Now I get to wait for the refund to appear in my credit card account. If it doesn't, I'll be back to visit, and I won't be as courteous as the first time. read more

I like this Amazon Fresh location. They are usually not busy, so it's easy to navigate through the store. They don't have as much variety of products as other grocery stores, but they do have good deals. The store is clean and well organized. I also like their hot and cold food bars (when they are full). They charge by the size of containers, not weight, which is a very good deal. Customer service is just okay. Plenty of free parking. Oh and you can return your Amazon packages here. I was very upset while shopping here tonight. I was calling one of the Amazon clerk (male) by the premade sandwiches for help. He literally just ignored me & proceeded to keep on walking away, pretending not to hear me. It was ridiculous. THE WORST! I thought it was RUDE! I've been going to this Amazon for a while so far I believed only 4-5 Amazon clerk that was willing to help on separate occasions. Tonight there was an Amazon clerk who was able to help me even though he was busy on the floor. I really appreciate it. I would like to say thank you to Mark for taking the time to help me. Parking lot is atrocious. Went to get my curbside order and upon even trying to get in the parking lot an 18wheeler is parked, delivering items to the store causing a blockade all the way to the intersection and another one is circling this tiny parking lot. I had to drive around twice because the 18 wheelers block any vision to see where the curbside parking is. Finally find the curbside parking behind the store with 10 spots and every spot is full with no one actually sitting in their car getting curbside. Great. First and last time ordering here. Ok seeing the low ratings, makes perfect sense. The absolute worse Hot Bar in existence. I attempted to eat the Hot Bar 3 times and all 3 time is was disgusting. Most pans empty and dried up, clearly showing it has no attention provided to it. Whom ever is managing this department needs to be terminated. Good thing Gelson's across the street understands the importance of maintaining a Hot Bar. So disappointed with this place and have decided to longer go there. Popped in on a weekday evening and it was very eerie. There are not many people in the store, the selection is very unusual and the vibe is... off. The prices are also astronomical compared to what you could get elsewhere, even with the "special" Amazon fresh discount. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I personally love this Amazon fresh and shop there twice weekly sometimes. They always have coupons plus I get extra discount as a prime member plus 5% cash back since I have an amazon credit card. People are very nice but the store is a mess. And today I went to the Amazon fresh on Topanga Canyon and what a huge difference. That is such a nice store. Why they put a crappy store in Encino, I'm not sure. But the shelves are never filled, it's hard to find What you were looking for, and if you do find what you're looking for they only have one or two or three of each item. The produce is never filled and does not look fresh and good. Flowers never look fresh and are slim pickings. This store's manager needs to go visit the store on Topanga and see what the Encino store should look like. read more

I don't know how to contact the manager directly, so I am leaving a review. I like to get my groceries delivered from this Amazon Fresh super close to me, but consistently I have been disappointed with the quality of the packaging. Multiple times I have had items such as bread and avocados packaged with really heavy items (today it was two 1-3lb bags of potatoes with my bread, and filet mignon steaks with cartons of milk). This seems to be a consistent issue, so I hope someone sees this review and talks to their team about the way they are packing the items. read more

This is a decent Amazon Fresh. It was the first time going to one with this style of checkout. They have the normal cashier route, but they also do the self checkout by just scanning your phone and the store will figure out what you got. The o my problem is it's not 100% accurate so it's a bit of a risk. Other than that though the store was very clean and pretty stocked up. read more

This use to be a Ralph's for many years and then it wasn't:)! It was empty for what seemed like forever! And then boom!!! Amazon Fresh moved in. Unlike the other reviews here, I found the inside very clean, pretty well stocked and checking out with a cashier was easy breezy. My first time here so I needed a little assistance checking out. The lovely cashier walked me through it, confirmed that I wanted to be charged on my Amazon, printed out my receipt and I headed out the door. I found the salad bar full of delicious looking items, the hot bar as well and the pizza counter made my mouth drool. It was fun roaming around the store. Every section was pristine. I personally will return. Highlights: *clean store *plenty of employees on hand *great cold and hot food bars *nice variety of brands *bakery was fully stocked *large dining area *easy payment options. Plenty of free parking available at this location. Bring a sweater or jacket because inside is a bit cold especially for this teeny gal:) read more

High prices, small selection. I don't see the point. I'm an Amazon customer so I'm not hating on them, but the best I can say about this is that it's a failed experiment. The whole deal is you don't need to check out, you just walk out and the system has been watching you with a thousand cameras and figured out what you carried out with you. That's interesting technology that lets Amazon track your every move, but I'm not sure how it benefits shoppers in the end. To enter you either need your Amazon app, which will generate a special QR code, or to sign up with your palm. That's right this store does Palm reading, at least in terms of being able to photograph and recognize your palm. Once you sign up and create an account that links your palm to your credit card you're ready. But I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of biometric data to be shared and despite being a technology person myself I find that a little bit creepy. The store itself used to be a Ralph's so it's big enough to have a large selection and yet oddly it doesn't. A specific example are mozzarella cheese sticks. Here there was one kind to choose from. At the Ralph's down the street there are six different brands to choose from. In the pet aisle, forget about buying a small bag of dog treats because they only have them in 2 lb bags. The yogurt selection was small and each little cup cost $0.40 more than it does at Ralphs. In fact most items are 40 to 60 cents more. Then there's the look and feeling of the store which is quite cold and sterile. Going down the Frozen aisle I wondered if I was in a supermarket or a data center (see photo). The whole design is unfriendly and a bit unpleasant. On the plus side, I saw more human employees working here than any other grocery store so it was easy to ask where to find things, which was necessary because the signage was so poor. Leaving the store with your purchases is very simple, just scan your code, or your palm. Finding out what Amazon charged you is not simple. Unlike their websites which give you receipts instantly, here a receipt takes around 2 hours for your first visit to around 30 minutes after that. I'm not sure why a company that's so digital takes that long to give you a receipt, but that's how it is. I got my receipt about an hour and a half later through my Amazon app. The checkout was accurate. But, after viewing my receipt, it was not listed in my app among my orders, so I couldn't go back and check it if I wanted to. Maybe it will show up later but since the notification came through my app why wouldn't it appear in my orders at the same time? What's up with that? Like I said, this feels more like an experiment than a fully realized supermarket. You can go directly across the street to Gelsons' luxury supermarket where the prices are the same, the selection is much wider, the ambiance is much more pleasant, and there are plenty of ways to check out that don't take much time. So, in the end, I'm not sure what problem Amazon Fresh is solving for the customer. It certainly didn't solve one for me. read more

I've been here a handful of times since it opened, and for a variety of reasons. As of late, I've had returns. Those are processed in the back of the store, on the left side. I haven't had anyone try to check out there, and returns are done in seconds for me. No complaints! A year or so back, I would actually shop here. I'm not crazy about the selection and some of the prepped foods and sushi aren't the best quality. Good place for basics, but prices aren't great. I've ordered from the Amazon app for delivery before when I was in a bind, and service went well. I didn't miss anything. Nothing had to be subbed out. Parking can be a little chaotic and slow, but it's free and generally available. This is the same plaza as See's, Sweetgreens and Starbucks. Amazon Fresh replaced the Ralph's that used to be here.
