My fiance and I hired Monica to plan our destination wedding. From the moment we met her we knew…read moreshe was going to be great. The first meeting was casual at Starbucks. She asked us questions we didn't think about when it came to a destination wedding. She gave us a lot of good info and a lot to think about. We really appreciated her insight and pre-planning advice after the initial meeting. Once we picked the destination she was quick to tell us all the things the resort had to offer. The resort we picked was rather new so there was not a lot of info out there yet, but she made sure to inform us about what she did know and kept us updated as new info came out. When it came down to getting a group contract Monica was awesome. She was quick, explained how the group contract worked and was always communicating with us on how it was going and when deadlines were coming up. During the process we had some friends/family issues with booking their rooms. It was a bit stressful to have to deal with the family/friend issues but she was so helpful and kind in dealing with them. It was nice to have someone with her experience on our side helping us during the stressful times. My new wife and I would highly recommend Monica for all your travel needs. She will be our family travel agent for life!

We had just one hiccup that wasn't her fault, the travel from the air port, they required the document and I didn't print it, so she hurried to email it to me again. He planned our honeymoon and two more Mexico getaways, all at extremely luxurious all-inclusive resorts. Every trip was customized to exactly what we wanted. He even arranged a private driver for our pickup and drop-off, so from the moment we landed, we didn't have to think about a thing. Here's the part that still surprises me. Everything about these trips screamed luxury, but he got us there at an extremely affordable price. You don't usually get both, and with Jonathan, we did every single time. If you want a trip that feels high-end without the high-end price tag, call Jonathan. I'd recommend no one more than him!

This was my second time contacting A Destination Travel. They are a Virtuoso Travel Agency. I…read morehave worked with numerous Virtuoso Agencies and have always been impressed with their excellent customer service. Not so with Destination Travel. I spoke with Paige about a cruise. I provided her with all the information she needed. She was leaving for vacation and said she would get back to me upon her return. That was months ago. Never got back to me at all. This was the identical experience I had with her several years previously. If nothing else, she's consistent! Simply awful customer service! Destination Travel is the worst! In my experience they don't qualify to be a Virtuoso Travel Agency!!

RE: Agent, Wanda Pedersen…read more My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of meeting with Wanda Peterson to arrange our first trip to London. She always made herself available to answer any questions and make the trip smooth and memorable. Another nice touch, she had a letter waiting for us when we arrived at the hotel, wishing us a nice trip. We encountered problems with the transportation agency on the return flight and sent Wanda an e-mail. She immediately jumped into action and stayed on the issue until it was resolved. We have now booked our second trip through her and, as before, she is thorough and she works hard to make the arrangements and get the best deal possible I know with her on our team, we'll have another great trip. Shay planned an absolutely incredible trip to Portugal for my wife, our daughter, and me. From…read morestart to finish, everything was seamless. The hotels were excellent, all private transfers were perfectly coordinated (airport, hotels, trains, etc.), and we never once felt stressed or unsure about logistics. What really stood out was how organized everything was. Our itinerary was extremely clear, easy to access, and thoughtfully planned, which made traveling with a young child so much easier. Every detail was handled, and the entire trip felt effortless on our end. If you're looking for a travel agent who is professional, detail-oriented, and truly makes the experience smooth and enjoyable, Shay is the one. We couldn't be happier and will absolutely use her again for future trips.

Shay planned every detail and helped make this a dream come true for us. She arranged everything from flights, hotels and private transfers to and from everything. She planned all of our tours as well. We met with her and gave her our budget and our preferences and she made everything so seamless and exactly what we wanted. Not only did she go above and beyond with the planning process to make everything smooth and seamless, but when the software glitch that occurred in July 2024, grounded more than 2000 flights, and caused us to have multiple flight cancellations at the start of our trip, she was amazing and spent hours on the phone with us, and her supplier rearranging our hotel stays, transfers and tours multiple times to help us when our trip ended up getting shifted 2 days later. She was up early in the morning and late at night keeping us updated with flight changes and accommodation changes. It was a very stressful situation and without Shay, we would not have known what to do. She stepped in and helped us figure everything out so we were still able to have an amazing trip. I can't recommend her enough! She is knowledgeable, professional, and very efficient. She responds very quickly and adds extra touches, like checking us in for our flights, so we didn't have to worry about it while on vacation. She also provided us with access to an app that had our full travel itinerary including flights, accommodations, tours and reservations all organized into one place that made it so easy for us to find all the trip details quickly and easily. It even updated every time there was a change, which made everything very organized and easy to follow. I will be booking all of my future travel with Shay's Getaways from now on!
