Last year we bought hardwood floor from them for our Kitchen--A couple of weeks ago an Appliance Repair Guy scratched our floor and I wanted to see if we could repair the floor instead of changing the whole thing--I called Carlos there and he was very nice and said our floor was discontinued but he had a couple of boxes that we could come get them--He said that since our floor was a year old the boards might not match if that was the case he would return them for us--We went to the store and they loaded the boxes in my car. The boxes were very old and not in good shape and were slightly opened on the ends of the boxes--We unloaded them and waited for the contractor--When the contractor arrived of course he pulled one board out of each box to make sure there were no stains on the Maple Wood--Once they pulled these couple boards out it was discovered that they were severely damaged and the color of these the boards in these boxes were different than what I have on my floor--I immediately texted Carlos and he texted me to bring the 2 boxes back for a full refund--I still have the text message on my phone---He was very nice and said no problem. When I arrived at the store, the employee at the Counter was extremely rude and immediately started talking down to me as if I was a student in her classroom--I nicely explained the issue and showed her the text message from Carlos and she started talking to me down again and said well I am not taking them back! I was flabbergasted! I have never seen any retailer act like this! Home Depot, Lowe's, etc would never act like this--She brought our her Manager Quinn and she told him to back her up even though she was wrong and of course, that is exactly what he did---They made no attempt to resolve this or make me feel good as a customer who put my trust in them as a customer---Didn't even offer a store credit--Just kept lecturing me how he would lose money!!! Especially after I had spent thousands of dollars with them last year! On top of it! They kept the Merchandise and made no attempt to give it back to us before we left the store!! Now, it will have to go to the Credit Card as a dispute but can you guys believe all this for a lousy $300?? How petty they were/are! I will never go back to these guys and I wanted to give all of you a heads-up!

A hugely better experience compared to big box stores where it's hard to find help, aisles feel cluttered, and the process is tedious. We've been to this Burlingame location a bunch of times over the past couple years, taken and returned a bunch of samples, and purchased flooring and tile. Lots of affordable options and styles. Conveniently off 101 and efficient to shop here, which we are thankful for as remodeling is usually time-intensive.

My experience…read morewith Tez Marble has been a months-long nightmare of incompetence, turnover, and blatant theft of $8,500. The issues began in July 2025 when I requested a quote from a saleswoman, Beyza, for 5-7 slabs and 2,000 sq. ft. of hardwood. It took her over a month to simply respond to an inquiry, causing them to lose the flooring portion of my business immediately. Against my better judgment, I moved forward with the slab purchase through a different salesman, Julio. We purchased 5 slabs, yet Julio accidentally charged us for 7, an overcharge of roughly $8,500. What followed was a masterclass in poor customer service: The Refund Delay: Julio dragged his feet for two months on the refund, only for us to find out he no longer worked at the company. Management Failure: I escalated the issue to Sam, the manager. He promised to process the refund immediately. Sam also made additional promises of delivering the slab the following day, but failed to do so. The Current Status: It is now February 2026--seven months after the initial contact and months after the overcharge--and we still have not received our money. Tez Marble has stopped responding and has made no effort to call or explain why they are still holding onto $8,500 of our money. They have been completely radio-silent while essentially "stealing" from a customer. Beautiful stone is not worth the risk of losing thousands of dollars to a company that clearly lacks the internal infrastructure or integrity to handle basic financial transactions. One of the owner's sons helped us, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He provided a field tile sample and told us about their other locations where we could look at remnants for the three countertops we needed fabricated. He also mentioned that if we chose to have Tez handle the fabrication, they would include the remnant at no additional charge. We followed his advice and went to the Oakland Tez Marble location. There, we found a small cracked remnant that could work for one of our counters and possibly the small wet bar countertop too. The staff member in Oakland was also initially helpful -- he had the piece moved so we could get a better look and even spent time online helping lay out designs for two of the counters. At this point, we were feeling good about our decision and excited to move forward. Unfortunately, everything fell apart after that. Both the Burlingame and Oakland stores completely ghosted us. I have sent four emails and left multiple voicemail messages for both locations requesting follow-up, asking about the status of the fabrication, and trying to schedule the final measurement before cutting. Weeks have gone by with absolutely no response from anyone. As someone who works in customer service, I am genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. It's disappointing and frankly baffling that a business could operate this way and expect to retain customers or maintain a positive reputation. What started as a promising experience has turned into a major frustration. I cannot recommend Tez Marble based on how they treated us once we were ready to move forward.
