Wide variety of sweets, breads and day old to select. Good prices even without my Restaurant.com coupon which made the prices fantastic. The employees were helpful and let me sample items looking for the cookies with the most butter flavor. The interior was certainly original. We left and the group decided that they didn't really like the cupcakes and urged me to go back and get a refund. I called the owner immediately and explained the situation and she informed me that there was no refunds. Even though we had only left a few minutes before. The point of this review is to advise her next victim not to go here. She has 1 negative review yet I still gave her chance and considering she did nothing nor did she lose any money she could have refunded my money. She stated there was no refunds. I found this small business through Facebook and after reading the reviews I decided to take a chance on getting a custom made cake for my sisters baby shower event! I sat down with the owner and booked this cake A month in advanced with pictures and everything to follow and specific directions on the decor. She assured me that she could do this cake. Needless to say when I seen this cake my mouth was floored. It did not have the decor I asked for...the fondant was so sticky and gummy(the exact same consistency of wet gum) she only completed half of the top tier and she did the very top of the cake in cardboard....which we discussed an Eiffel tower made of fondant and to top that off The cake was lopsided. When I contacted her to express my disappointment in the product she was very rude and argumentive. I paid $170.00 for this cake and I asked for a PORTION of my money to be compensated back. Not the full balance because I understand that she had to use product. But she would not agree. Her excuse for this awful cake was that she did not have time....and this cake was given to her a month in advance. When I called her the day of to check the status of the cake at 10a.m...she notified me that she was about to start decorating it. We discussed a 2pm pick up time! My sister was so disappointed and it was very embarrassing to her and to myself. The guest literally picked over the cake that was served and of a 3 tier cake less than half was served! I would never recommend this business to any friend or colleagues. Despite the awful cake she was very warm and friendly to begin with but after expressing my concern all the customer service went out the window. read more
