I used to have a membership here years ago and loved the quality of the lashes. A few months ago decided to sign up for another membership and was very disappointed by almost every set I got. The first girl I had was really good and my lashes stayed until my next appointment but then she either quit or got fired. Tried 3 different lash techs after that and had issues with either them putting 3 clusters on one of my lashes which is very painful or the lashes were not staying on and my eyes would be bare after two weeks. Wish this place could be consistent like it used to be. read more

I went in for a full set of lash extensions and clearly requested a natural look, staying I wanted the end result to look similar to the application of a good mascara with added length and volume. I specifically stated I did not want a heavy, "caterpillar/strip" appearance. I had scheduled for hybrid to assist with the volume; when doing lash extensions previously I always had hybrid and was able to achieve the look that I was requesting. When the first technician (Justine/senior) finished, the result was exactly what I said I did not want. The lashes were thick, dense, and formed a heavy band across my eyelid. I expressed that I was unhappy. After I expressed for the second time that "I hated the outcome" Justine said she would talk with her manager to see what they could do. When she returned she said she would remove the cluster lashes and add more singles to create the look I had described. At this time I decided to pull up an image to ensure that we were on the same page. Prior to finding an example on my own, Justine then showed me an image that was EXACTLY what I wanted - obviously she understood the assignment from the get go... Justine said that instead of her completing the fix that her trainer would take care of me. When I went into the trainer's (Adri/Master) I asked if Justine had shown her the image - she had not so Adri had to leave the room to ask for image. When she returned she said that she did not have time to remove all the clusters, which is what I was told the original fix would be. Because of this she said that she would not be able to achieve the look I was going for. I expressed my dissatisfaction at this time and her response was that the only way that we would be able to achieve outlook was to do full removal and redo the lashes completely and she did not have time to do that as she had another client coming in. At no time was it offered that I could reschedule and come in to get this completed. My option was take the "fix" as it was being offered or leave with the lashes I specifically stated I did not want. Upon completion I was still not satisfied which I did express. In addition to the aesthetics of the lashes, the following issues were present: Multiple extensions were placed too close to or touching the eyelid, rather than sitting slightly off the skin. There was visible dark adhesive/residue along the lash line, suggesting excessive glue or poor isolation. Several fans appeared clumped together at the base instead of being cleanly separated onto individual natural lashes. The inner corner placement was uneven and crowded, with some lashes angled sideways or downward rather than lifting uniformly. Overall, the set looked heavy and congested rather than natural or mascara-like, which was the opposite of what I requested. All of the above also contributed to discomfort; the extensions getting stuck to my lower lashes, and the adhesive scratching my eyelid and corner of my eyes, resulting in excessing itching and eye watering. I contacted the studio a few days after the service and spoke with Assistant Manager Serena, who said the manager, Megan, would call me the next day. I did not receive a call and had to follow up myself and was told that Megan will call me back due to her being in a meeting. When Megan eventually called she stated that the lashes had already been "fixed" and that ownership would not approve transferring the fix to another location. The only option offered was to return to the San Antonio studio in person; I told Megan when I was physically at the studio that I was moving to Kansas City and all my fills would be completed there so she was aware when calling me back that I was unable to physically go back into the store. After multiple emails and phone calls, Megan finally agreed to put a credit in my account for removal of the lashes stating "We take client concerns very seriously and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention." I also want to add that she used the fact that they applied a $65 credit to not charge me for the clusters. $65 are for the mega volume which I never asked for. I actually had told Justine that I did not want to do the $65 option and wanted the $45 option for regular volume. Overall, the experience was horrible, lacked any level of appropriate communication, the fix was rushed and still did not meet my satisfaction, and with the lash removal what they're doing by myself or going to the studio (which I had plead for), I wasted my money on extensions that I don't get to enjoy. read more

I am extremely frustrated. I've been going to Amazing Lash since they first opened in San Antonio. The convenience of their many locations and being grandfathered into their old pricing for my monthly fee has kept me loyal. However, this might no longer be enough, and it's probably time to end the membership. I constantly pay for Mega Volumes to keep my lashes looking full, with a monthly fill and a mini fill on the 10th day to maintain their fullness. Given the current pricing and quality of their products, I would never recommend Amazing Lash. On July 18th, I went for my one-hour fill (paid out of pocket) and paid extra for Mega Volume 9D. By Tuesday morning, a chunk of lashes from my left eye fell out, though thankfully not my natural lashes. After brushing them, another four or so fell out. I called the office that morning, and the receptionist said I could come in for a mini fill but at my expense. I told her I've spent too much money for my lashes to fall out like this. She said she'd speak to the manager and have her call me. I received a call the next day, though I don't remember if it was from the manager. They said they'd cover my mini fill and Mega Volumes. By then, it was already noticeable that one eye had more lashes, so I requested an immediate appointment. They scheduled me for the next day, which was this morning. Last night, I started to feel my lash line itch and suspected something was wrong. During my appointment, the stylist asked if my left eye was bothering me because the lashes were stuck together with excessive glue. I told her I had noticed something was wrong and wondered if she would too. She tried to unstick them and remove as many as she could while still filling the eye as much as possible. She did her best, but the left eye is still not as full as the right. It's not her fault; it seemed she wasn't informed about my situation by the manager. The stylist recommended removing the lashes and starting over at my next appointment because they were so bad. It's frustrating because they'll likely want me to pay for the removal and a new set, even though it's their fault. I have an event on Friday evening and a trip on Saturday. From the 18th, my lashes should have lasted until my originally scheduled mini fill on the 31st. Even more frustrating thinking about the money and time spent, and that I schedule my lash appointments based on events and activities and my eyes are uneven. read more

Their customer service isn't awesome either. Most of the ladies at this location are rude & snobby. I had to come into the store to finally get ahold of a manager about the constant charges even though my membership was "terminated". After I arrived and no manager was present I was guaranteed a phone call within the next 2 days. I waited a week & had to go in AGAIN. Still no manager. I've been coming to this location for quite some time. I have had some pretty bad experiences with lashes only lasting three days (total), to stylists keeping me there, laying still, not blinking, for over an hour and a half++. I learned that you have to request a particular stylist otherwise you just get junk. When I arrived to my appointment they told me that my stylist was stuck in traffic and would not see me that day. I had a special event planned so I really needed the lashes. I went in with an alternate master stylist. She took an hour and 40 minutes for a fill, and kept pinching my eyelids with the tweezers. Very Uncomfortable. When I finally sat up & looked at my completed lashes, one eye was full and long and one eye was sparse and short. Ugh. She said, "no, they are fine". My boyfriend asked me immediately why my eyes looked so different right when I walked in the door. Super disappointed by this location, once again. I have been a "member" for a year. I decided to cancel my membership due to inconsistency and being pregnant, laying down on my back was not going to be feasible anymore. I went in to cancel because they make you come in and fill out a form.... however I still was charged. I was told clearly that filling out this form would end my membership. I was not warned of a 30 day cancellation policy plus when I asked. Plus I had clearly asked the front desk attendant if all was clear and I was not going to be charged. When I called to get this cleared up I'm being told that the manager has to call me back. So it's going to be a fight to get refunded $49.99 membership free that shouldn't have been charged to begin with. I'm telling you be careful and check your credit card statements! Also the staff management staff here have a certain attitude about them that I never liked. Just got off the phone with Analisa the manager. She has always had a smug attitude towards me because I always question their charges. She was very rude and hung up on me twice. I explained to her that if she did not refund me the $49.99 charge I would visit the studio and let the other customers know what I experienced. I explained to her that I am 7 months pregnant and I can't lay on my back for over an hour and that I want to cancel. She said I am cancelled but they won't refund me the charge and I have to come back in to use it. Finally after explaining to her that I would warn every customer what she was saying and how I was being treated... she asked me not to come in and that I was not welcome to come into her studio. Apparently she has refunded me now but I'm still disputing the charge with my credit card company. FYI now it's $59.99 a month membership fee which is just another example of how they increase prices constantly. This is not my first time with getting charged incorrectly and not being warned. When they changed the stylist I was seeing to a master stylist, they charged me $20 more without warning. I was furious because from my experience, there was zero difference between a regular stylist and a master. Just another way they charge you more. Find somewhere else to go! My eyelashes quickly fall off and their appointment times are always limited. You have to go in person to cancel ... it's just a huge scam

So I've been waiting to do this review until I had done more than one service in order to be able to give ample info. I got a full set of lashes about a little over a month ago as well as a mini fill and just got a regular fill yesterday. All my appointments have been with Jessica who's so awesome, very professional and always brings life to my lashes! The first time you go they'll have you speak to a consultant about the look you're waiting, there's a lot of variations of what you can get. I opted for the full, long, volume lashes which I love, if you're looking for something more subtle the consultants can help you achieve this but I feel like just like with hair color or tanning it's a process to get where you want so if it's not exactly what you expected the first time they can adjust it when it's time for the fill. I've seen some reviews on here about people not being happy with their lash loss and I do have to comment that everyone is different when it comes to this, not everyone is going to experience the same kind of lash shedding/growth so fills or retouch experiences will be different for everyone. I also saw comments about the fees which are pretty black and white if you read the contract or just ask prior to services no one here it trying to charge hidden fees. The girls at the front are polite and usually pretty quick at checking in and out. There's only one bathroom to wash your lashes when you arrive so if everyone gets there at the same time for their appointment you'll have to wait a bit to get in there. The one thing I will say is appointments fill up fast so I do recommend booking ahead of time or utilizing the app. Sometimes you'll get lucky with last minute cancellations and be able to book a same day appointment. Overall I would recommend them if you're in the market for lash extensions, I know a lot of people are starting to do them but you have to be cautious with people doing them as a side business because it's a lot harder to regulate their license/health protocols.. with Amazing Lash because they're a franchise I feel like it's a lot safer than a lot of other random places read more

Let me start by saying this location is a clean and professional place; I was very happy during and after my appointment, the only difficulty I had was my inner lashes on my left eye were slanted and the tech just brushed them up and said they are ok. The stayed slanted even after brushing them up. I, however, am not happy with the results less than 2 weeks later. They said the extensions should last 2-3 weeks with proper care then you need a fill, I've been so careful did everything I was told and not even 2 weeks later my right eye has maybe 5 lashes left. I also feel like they were not applied close enough to the lash line but that may be for eye safety. Also know that these are not fancy lashes they are plastic and hard but i know i wasn't paying for mink lashes or anything. I'm very dissatisfied with my lashes now and wouldn't suggest extensions from here unless you want to get a fill every week and a half. read more

I travel really frequently so can't get to a San antonio location too regularly, and they have locations in major cities throughout the US. I had my first service here last week and enjoyed my results. I've been getting compliments left and right. In other reviews I saw some folks indicate they were not impressed with the front desk service. There were two gals upfront when I stopped in. I think one may have been in training but she was so friendly and informative! The consultation was relatively quick and helped me determine exactly which look was best for my wedding weekend. We began the service and it lasted just shy of two hours (this is typical for your first full set). I did get antsy at the end but the results are amazing. I love waking up in the morning and not having to do a slick of mascara just to look alive. PLUS wearing these to my wedding ensured that I was not crying mascara all down my face during the ceremony. I didn't love that they tried to sell their membership at the end of the service but I do know this to be typical of many salons offering similar services. If lashes made more sense for my lifestyle I probably would keep up with them. However, I just needed them for this one event and for the event it was perfect! read more

I really want to like this place but my first full set with them was kind of a disaster. Dont get me wrong all of the lash girls are nice but all of my lashes fell off within three days of application. THREE DAYS! I've been getting lash extensions for years so Im pretty familiar with the rules and yet somehow 85% of them just fell off. They were falling out in clumps. During my first fill the girl almost didn't continue with my appointment because so many had fallen out. Needless to say I was annoyed because they made me feel like it was my fault. But I let them blame me and attempted my second fill just to make sure. My second time around went better. My lashes have stayed on somewhat longer (7days). Im not sure what kind of glue they use at Amazing Lash but for some reason my lashes don't stay on as long. I find myself needing a fill at 1.5 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks now. I will probably not be going back. I've been to alotttt of lash places because I move a lot and never have I had this issue. I also don't care for the fact that I can never get an appt. The technicians will also kick you out without finishing your lashes if your session takes too long (this happened to me) Maybe if your glue didn't suck the sessions wouldn't take as long. I happened to run into a previous employee from amazing lash outside of the workplace and she told me that she thinks they use crappy glue on purpose so that people have to come back more frequently for fills. Idk if this is true but it certainly matched up with what I experienced. If this review seems a bit dramatic to you I encourage you to read several other bad reviews for this shop. They practically all say the same thing. "Bad adhesive, bad customer service and can never get an appt. I just called The Lash Lounge at the rim and they said they will gladly do a fill even with my current lashes on. Id rather go to a shop that is less busy and does a better job. I'm not really sure what all of the glowing reviews are about. For an event I decided to try out permanent lashes. After seeing the options I decided on the "natural." Apparently their view of "natural" and my view of "natural" are completely different. First off, the process took over 2 hours. Who has time for this on a regular basis?? When I spend two hours somewhere I would hope to at least be offered water. Nope, they don't have anything here. The two hours was this awful pulling and prodding and then any time the glue would get into my eye it would burn. This cannot be good for your eyes. She also didn't show me a mirror at all during the process to ask if it looked okay. So, at the end of the two hours I sit up to find stripper lashes that are referred to as "natural." The lashes they placed were way too long, heavy and dark compared to my real lashes. At this point my eyes were so irritated I just wanted to pay and move on. Nope, this is when they start to try to get you to become a "member" where your credit card is charged again in 2 weeks and then recurring monthly fees that may or may not include what you need. Then they tried to sell me a lash brush for $20. Trust me just go to Target and buy an Elf one for $2. They gave me a small pamphlet discussing how to care for the lashes and what products to use. When I got home my eyes were so irritated I had to take a Benadryl. Then the lashes bothered me for days. The girl glued lashes to the interior of my lash line, so when I would close my eyes it was awful. I wanted to get the lashes off, but who knows what kind of chemicals they use to do that, so I will just let them come off by themselves. If you are planning on doing this for a wedding, then do it with plenty of time in advance in case you have an allergic reaction. That could really ruin your event. Or, better yet just book an appointment at the MAC counter where they will put on falsies that don't jack with your real lashes. read more

Being in the hospitality industry, I'm all about warm and friendly, and this studio was quite the opposite. When I came in, the lady at the front handed me a clipboard and said sign. I sat down and filled out my paperwork and waited about 15 minutes for my stylist to come and get me. When she (who will not be named) walked in, I immediately felt uncomfortable. She was not friendly, didn't make eye contact, didn't even shake my hand or introduce herself. I understand we live in San Antonio and its hot outside and most businesses like to keep it cold inside, but when I walked into the room, I immediately felt like I was in Antarctica. I was in sweats and a t-shirt, and basically shook the whole time. My toes were going numb because of how cold they were. I was so uncomfortable from that, but also, the table. The table literally looked like it was from a doctor's office and she had me lay off the table with my neck three inches from the table so my head would be at an angle. You would think that if they are doing this for 1-2 hours they would want their customers in a comfortable position. The lady that did my eyelashes did not speak to me once unless it was to move, to a more uncomfortable position, or that she would be right back. I am a very friendly person and I love talking with my stylist to learn more about them. There were a few times that I almost just told her to stop so I could leave. I was so unhappy and so uncomfortable. It has been 3 days since my application, and a whole chunk of eyelashes have already come off. This was not the first time I've gotten lashes, so I know how to take care of them and keep them in good shape. This review may seem a tad dramatic, but I'm just trying to warn the customers and the people new to the area about this studio. I usually see master stylist Linda and because she is fabulous at what she does and super sweet, I planned never to go to anyone else. Due to my own scheduling conflict, I was booked ~28 hrs in advance with junior stylist Giuliana (spelling?) and was pleasantly surprised with the fantastic job she did. I had multiple lashes that were grown out from the root that were turning over and driving me crazy--she went above and beyond to remove those and replace them in such a short amount of time I wouldn't have believed it, had I known what she was having to do! She was very attentive and accommodating of my comfort during the whole procedure but did not cause me pain at all. My eyes are SUPER sensitive to watering and involuntarily shed one tear from one eye, and she was very kind to wipe it up and make sure I was comfortable. While I will remain loyal to Linda after a few months as her client, I would recommend Giuliana to anyone and everyone whether they are new to lash extensions or not! read more

I don't really have anything against the actual lash techs, so far they've all been amazing, great techniques, kind and helpful with suggestions. They're not pushy to up sell anything, great advice on keeping my lashes healthy. But the company itself blows my mind, charging a monthly minimum of $60 for fills, which only pertains to the absolute lowest costing fill, (single extensions) Any sort of volume (aka 3 OR 6-D, no between or mixing) is another charge, getting a stylist on Sunday is another up charge. So essentially I'm paying 100$+ for a fill? That I'm more or less forced into paying because I initially bought volume, and in order to keep that up without looking ridiculous, I get added charges? I don't think San Antonio is saturated with lash techs yet, but I'm sure they will be. Maybe I just don't know the area well enough yet, it just seems ridiculous for pricing and product. Ugh I just had the worst experience. I've been coming here for months, and have had some nice experiences and some not-so-nice ones. Tonight takes the cake. I had a 6:50 appointment, but I thought it was at 7. I arrived at 7:03. When I got there, I said hi I'm checking in and the desk lady said, "your appt WAS for 6:50. I just called you to tell you that." The message that she had left as I was walking in the door let me know that I "missed" my appointment and they were still going to charge me full price. I'm not sure in what universe an appointment for a paid service is considered missed (but still entitled for full pay) after 10 minutes (or even 20) but apparently this young lady thought otherwise. Knowing that the cancellation policy meant I'd have to pay anyway, I wasn't about to leave. She reluctantly told me to go wash my lashes. I suppose the girl actually doing my lashes was also scandalized by my lateness, and gave me a look when she came to get me. Then she took me back and got started. She didn't ask even one question about how my lashes were holding up or how I wanted them done. Not even one question and barely spoke any words at all. I assume this was my "punishment" for showing up 10 minutes late. She finished up 5 minutes BEFORE my appointment should have been done, so I guess it's okay for them to shave off a few minutes when it's convenient. I work long hours as an executive for a nonprofit to be able to afford this small luxury, and the last thing I need is to be treated like dirt when I show up "late" because I've got other demands on my time. This is one nice thing I do for myself, and there is no reason for this to be anything other than a pampering experience. I can only assume that they were ready to pack it in early after it seemed I might not show, and were disappointed that I ruined their plans by showing up to MY appointment. In fact, I HOPE that's what it was, because I cant imagine them behaving in this way as a matter of course. There are some genuinely nice people working here, so it's a shame that 2 people can be so nasty that it ruins all the other experiences. read more

If you want your lashes done here, you have to ask questions. Ask lots of questions, because they aren't going to inform you. Every time I have gotten my lashes done, it's very little communication and they want to get it done ASAP, as I'm sure they have a schedule to adhere to. They don't tell you anything about after care unless you ask, but will try to sell you everything without an explanation on how to use the tools. Definitely mediocre, but good location. read more

Aisha is the best! She is very thoughtful and always caters to what I am wanting at that particular appointment. She pays special attention to the care of my eyes since she knows they are sensitive. She's truly a lash artist. Professional, considerate, and lovely! Cindy is also wonderful. One time I accidentally butt dialed the salon and she called me back to see what I needed. Very sweet and great to talk to while I'm waiting for Aisha. There have been a few problems with not having blankets, paper towels, running behind, etc. It would also be nice if there was another bathroom or separate sink to wash the lashes. I do have friends that have had horror stories in terms of scheduling and billing - luckily I haven't had to deal with that. Overall, very positive experiences! read more

Well, let me start out by saying the stylist that did my lashes she had only been there for two months. Which made my feel a bit uncomfortable! Considering this was my first time getting lashes. I am kind of upset next day which was Tuesday two lashes have already fallen out. I did try to reach out to this location yesterday, and kept being placed on hold. I am hoping when I return for refills for my lashes I am treated better, also put with a master stylist. read more
