Sadly this place is not too helpful. I tried to cancel my membership and not only would they not... but they charged me again. Before all of this it took 3 stylists before one actually did a good job and my lashes didn't fall off the next day... I moved over an hour away and the studio here was not any better which is why I ultimately wanted to cancel. My lashes never looked good nor stayed minus when I was with the one stylist who was amazing. If she ever goes out on her own I would follow her. Officially addicted to lash extensions and I have ALS Deerbrook to thank! When I first arrived at my appointment, I was warmly greeted by Courtney and within minutes, I was laying down in a pristine room snuggled under a blanket. Yulissa helped me decide on the "cute" style and because I was getting ready for a trip to Vegas, I opted to get the 6D volume lashes which are a MUST! I have pretty much no natural lashes of my own, so I really needed the extra volume and fluffiness. The appointment was painless and I stopped in my tracks when the time flew by and I was handed a mirror. I seriously couldn't believe my eyes! The lashes looked so natural and I was instantly in love. Fast-forward to today.... I purposely waited three weeks after my appointment because I wanted to make sure the lashes held up. I had an appointment today and I woke up feeling really sick, with a slight fever. I have been a member for six months, I always tip well, and have never had any issues with being late or canceling my appointments. Well, today I had to cancel my appointment. I did not want to run the risk of being contagious or spreading my sickness either. They are going to charge me 50% of the service. They said I could rebook, but they would still have to charge you that amount. I find it extremely frustrating. Even though yes we know that a same-day cancellation is 50% of the service, how, as clients, are we supposed to anticipate getting sick or emergencies that come up? If I could rate zero stars I would. They are very rude. They will treat you rude, over talk you, and hang up on you. They have no sense of customer service. It takes a lot to get me upset and they were literally being as rude as possible to get me to react. They will literally over talk you and then accuse you of over talking them. Then they will use it as an accuse to hang up. I was simply calling in to make sure I wouldn't be doubled charged for a membership as I paid cash due to me losing my card. I didn't even get a chance to give them my card or even offer as she instantly got frustrated that I was understanding her. To get me off the phone she accuses me of over talking and uses that as an excuse to hang up. I call back only to get a hostile assistant manager who then proceeded to misguide me on how I could make a formal complaint on the previous employee. At this point I just tried calling to cancel my appointment so the girl didn't have to hold up on me till 6pm. Only to be met with more hostility and rude comments. I couldn't even get two words in. I had to talk fast when requesting to cancel my appointment because I felt like I couldn't even be able to get a sentence out. I will no go back. I hope there phone calls are recorded and their owner sees this and listens to how rude they are. I mean there is no missing attitude in every word. I even tried waiting a minute after they talked and as soon as I would talk they go back to accusing me of talking over them and would use that as an excuse to hang up. So if like the run around and people getting mad at you because they don't understand why your really calling in. Then this is the match for you. One day while waiting, I had a coughing spell and asked the ladies at the front desk for water. They said they didn't have any and didn't seem to care what was going on with me. They are terrible!! They have zero compassion and their management staff is awful!! I went into the hospital recently and that was the same day I had a lash refill appointment. They charged me 50% of my lash credit because they marked me as a no show!! Really?! I was in the hospital!! They said I should've called 24 hours in advance!!I was like really? Courtney one of the managers @ the Humble location was the nastiest and rudest person I have ever encountered. I made an appointment @ 9:30!a.m. however an emergency arose with my daughter and I needed to reschedule for the next available day. Things do happen it's called life however Mz. Courtney told me she would charge me an entire credit to reschedule. I could have understood half but an entire credit to reschedule and I gave you a three hour window to accept another client. Getting my lashes done at this studio and then the Katy studio was possibly one of my most awkward and frustrating experiences to date. I debated writing a review further contributing to this time suck, but I read reviews and I know I would appreciate an honest review that saved me time. TL:DR-- go to a private technician, avoid this studio chain. I called and made an appointment over the phone and the young lady asked for my credit card. I asked: "is this for a charge?" She said: "no, it's just to hold your place!" With no further need for an explanation,I gave her my credit card number and made my appointment. I made an early-morning appointment and was on my way when I got a phonecall that went to voicemail. On the voicemail, I was rudely informed that because I didn't make my appointment time, my credit card was going to be charged for a no-show fee. Have you ever been contacted for debt that isn't yours? That is what the following phone call felt like. I promptly called back, was for the first time informed of a fee and then worked to straighten things out with the person on the phone, but now I felt really uncomfortable. Pampering wasn't on the agenda, this was suddenly a chore. I showed up for my "new" appointment time and waited much like you do you at the doctors office. The worst part, was probably during the wait. Several customers were not happy with either their billing cycles or their lashes. I sat and waited in the lobby for roughly 40 minutes and during that time it felt like my parents were fighting. It was awkward, I felt like I shouldn't be listening, I don't believe the front desk handled anything professionally as they openly discussed customers with other customers and then complained to each other...and even to me while I was waiting in the lobby. It was the worst part of high school all over again and I was paying for it? When the technician came out, I was relieved to go back into the room. The technician was nice and it was quiet. This was probably the least stressful part of the ordeal, until the technician kept struggling with the lashes saying that she couldn't get anything to stick. I want to assume that it was me, that it was because I have some kind of weird alien complexion or weird eyelashes, but I sincerely believe this was due to the experience level of the technician. After she finished, we looked in the mirror check things and I left. Two hours later lashes began to fall out; I was at work, so I looked like a crazy person with lashes on my cheek and spaces in my lashes. I started to feel weird and like I should have them removed immediately, so I gave the studio a call. Unfortunately, they didn't have time within the next few days and I would have to go to another studio. I called the Katy studio, explained what happened and made an appointment to come in. The same thing over again, I waited for 40 minutes in the lobby, trying to get back to work, but not wanting to look like a crazy person. The girl in the lobby hounded me about signing up for a membership, even after I told her the reason why I was here is because I probably would not choose to do this again. Finally the technician came out and we went back. The technician said that whoever did the lashes before did not know what they were doing and it was obvious even to me the way this technician did the lashes was completely different from the first time. This technician was wonderful and was really trying to do me a favor and even went into the next appointment time. The only reason I knew is because the front desk clerk came back maybe five or six times to tell her to her to "hurry up". It was stressful, but I was glad I finally had someone who knew what they were doing. When I went to go and check out with the clerk, she charged me the full price for lashes even though she scheduled me for what was called a "touchup" when I called and initially wanted them removed. Frustrated and upset, I just paid the money and left. Looking back I probably should have stood my ground, but unlike the lash crew, I have to manage my time appropriately. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Go to a private technician. If you are in the north Houston area, there are several in The Woodlands that are absolutely wonderful and you do not have to deal with any of this craziness. Not mentioned in this review story are the several phone calls I had to make to both studios to try and get them to work together and to get a refund. It was agreed upon that I would get a refund and it would be of no charge to me. To add insult to injury they said they would do that and I didn't hear anything for a few weeks. Then I got a phone message that said they would gladly give me a free application of lashes. It was a moment of truth, was I seriously that crazy that I would sign up for all of this again? I don't remember the woman's name with whom I had my consultation but she was very nice. We had talked about how I normally wear my false lashes and I had told her I usually go for very thick and dramatic, so I chose the Gorgeous option. After an hour and a half of getting them done she handed me a mirror and honestly I wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. They look very natural, meaning not full at all. Honestly it looks like I'm wearing mascara and that's not what she and I talked about. The lady's lashes at the reception desk looked fuller and long than mine were. She did a good job don't get me wrong it's just that if what I asked for isn't what I got then what was the point of a consultation in the first place? I went in on Wednesday for a refill appt. Thursday i noticed my lashes were thin. Then i had some irritation and my eyes turned bloodshot red and fuzzy vision. I went back thinking i didn't receive the complimentary brushes so i may need to just brush . I went back to get the brushes. Later that day i noticed they were just falling when i blink and would tangle my natural bottom lashes. Then i thought about the experience, the lashes weren't fanned for drying or a second go through for loose lashes. I was told i was done and sent on my way. Dont get me wrong, sweet young lady who did them but my eyes are irritated and look like i was winking at people. I called today and they took me in. Young lady tried to fix as much as she could in the time allowed. They were better, but saw several flaws from the previous work. Some lashes had to be plucked, cut, and hanging for dear life. I told her i think some of the adhesive i believe was what was getting under my lids. Low and behold it was while i was there. I literally have to rub and rub and let my eyes water to get the fragments out of my under i lids. The job looks better. But I believe the uncomfort is from the previous tech. I hope this clears up before my job interview on Monday. I appreciate that they took me today but i cant leave home in fear of constantly rubbing my eyes while driving and the discomfort. read more
