Only good if you are looking for a temporary lash boost. I have been getting my lashes done at a salon in the city for about two years and the most glaring difference is in the quality/strength of the lashes. I gave my lashes a break and was sucked in by the $80 full lash set vs $250 typical cost. I figured I'd check it out - and could have my regular place continue with the fills if I didn't like it. Here's my breakdown: 1. I asked what brand of lashes was used. I used Novalah, Xtreme is another popular brand. These are two of the top brands. The front desk was unable to give me a specific brand they used. I thought that was odd. 2. Application - it wasn't bad. There's a lot of 'song and dance' crap they do that probably isn't needed. I've never; in two years; needed my lashes cleansed, misted, sealed, or fanned. It is two hours for a full set - and I was extremely bored as my stylist did not talk to me much. Granted, this is not required, but it helps when you are stuck in one place, eyes closed for two hours. 3. When I got home and really looked at them I was rather disappointed. I had gotten the "Glamorous" style. This is described as "longer, thicker lashes" on the website. They were not much longer or fuller than my normal lashes. And there were more than a few askew. The thickness of the lashes was also disappointing. There is not any sturdiness to them. I'm not surprised there are multiple reviews saying they fall out easily. All in all - if you are looking for an inexpensive first try of extensions this is a good option. If it's a long term experience you are looking for, I'd suggest a salon that advertises the brand of lashes they use. This makes a big difference to the longevity of wear. read more

The NAPERVILLE location is where you need to go if your looking for good service. I've been a loyal client for years and every time I've gone to the Geneva one I've had nothing but issues. Not only with my eye lashes falling out after one week but with the customer service. For example I had my eyelashes done last week and my right eye half of them fell out and they look singed at the ends, I called and talked to Sarah one of the managers and she told me I had to pay $40 for a mini touch up. Mind out I pay $60 a month sometimes twice a month. Bc It was 8 days ago and not 7, the manager (Sarah) did nothing to help me out what so ever and was extremely rude. The customer service is extremely professional in Naperville and they seem to be organized and polite. Moral of this is that I get it sometimes they don't stay perfectly but what kind of business makes you may another $40 a week later on top of the $60 on top of tipping them. It's a joke. I love Andrea and think she worth the upcharge for being a master technician. I have very sensitive eyes and get very uncomfortable with my eyes getting taped. I used to have a membership pre-pandemic at the Streeterville location. I have since moved and decided it was a good time to become a member again. I was wary at first because I had never been to this location, but it's been clean, professional, and a great experience each time! I have now seen Fatima twice, and she has now been promoted to master stylist. She's patient, kind, and my lashes have turned out SO pretty each time (and quite honestly I'm picky about my lashes). I have very very sensitive eyes, the tape in general sometimes bothers my eyes when closed, but she is so patient and is able to work with it. --The following is a letter I submitted to the corporate office on February 26, 2023: Greetings, I had a membership to the Amazing Lash Studio, Geneva, IL from November (possibly October) 2022 to February 16, 2023. When I approached the counter to checkout after my 4:30pm appointment on February 16, 2023, the employee informed me that I did not owe anything since my membership covered the service, but she told me I owed $25.00 for the mascara. I did not really know what she was talking about, but I thought maybe she thought I received an upgrade involving mascara. I touched my lashes and explained that my stylist did not use mascara on my lashes. The employee said the $25.00 was for the mascara I took. Still confused, I told her that I do not need any mascara. She then said that she has me on camera/video taking the mascara. I told her that she does not have me on camera because I did take anything. She went on to say that her "boss" saw me on camera and that they are "down" one mascara in their inventory. I continued to say that I did not take a mascara. I then noticed a security guard standing off to the side, near door. I looked back and forth between the two of them and offered for them to look though all of my belongings. I insisted the that security guard look through my coat, I dumped out the contents of my purse, and took off my boots to show them that I did not have the item in question in my possession. After it was settled that I did not steal from the store, I had the employee add gratuity to my card on file. I told the employee that in light of what has occurred I do not want to be charged $25.00 for the mascara and I want my membership canceled. She agreed to not charge me for the mascara and she pleasantly canceled my membership. I had been a paying and tipping customer at this store since Fall 2022 and had a membership to the studio. This employee made the outrageous accusation of theft and produced no evidence of such an act. She alluded to a video/camera and made mention of a "boss", but made no point of showing me this "video" and did not produce a "boss". Her comment about the inventory being "down" one mascara seemed like it was a lie. I was offered no apology, I was not offered to speak to an owner or manager, and this employee seemed indifferent when I asked for my membership to be canceled. I would appreciate a response from the company regarding how poorly I was treated. Yours truly, Justine L. It has been a week since I contacted customer service regarding this incident, and I have not yet heard from the studio owner. What would be a reasonable wait time for a response? Justine Catella -I have yet to hear from corporate or the Geneva studio. The Studio Owner's response is untrue. I never used the bathroom, I never had a mascara in my possession, etc. I was never even alone in the store in any area of the store. I don't understand why she is lying-maybe the employee is telling her these untruths to protect herself-maybe the employee stole the mascara, which does not make sense, but it's a possibility I guess. I don't know. Really all that needed to occur was some sort of acknowledgement that a mistake was made on their part or some sort of apology for the misunderstanding. Being accused of stealing is highly offensive. I probably would not have even cancelled my membership if an honest mistake made and a brief apology was offered. Even if the studio owner called me like the corporate office said she was going to do, I would not even I posted my experience. Now the situation has been exacerbated by the studio owner's false account of the situation. I will say that the actual services I received were great and so was my stylist; I was all set to book, my next appointment that day. Received a gift certificate from my husband and kids for Amazing Lash Studio for Mother's Day 2021. Finally made an appointment last week and was a little shocked to be told they needed a credit card to book when I told them I was using a gift card. If I or my husband was aware of their policies I don't believe I would have ever given them business, but they already had my gift card value so had to give the info. Once I arrived for my appointment aprox. 5 minutes early I was given 3 sheets of personal information to fill out! Wow!!!! Was taken to the back and everything aside from basic lash application was an additional cost. Went with the classic lash. Once application procedure started the stylist began coughing and sneezing making me uncomfortable, aside from Covid I'm just not interested in any cold/flu/illness. As the procedure went on she sniffled, sneezed and coughed continuously, at one point even commenting "it must be allergies" . After an hour application time ( which I expected ) I had to pee so bad. I told the stylist so. She commented "ok, well I have another client in 5 minutes, just look in the bathroom mirror and see how you like them". I definitely felt unimportant. Amazing lash in Geneva, got full set of lashes,, I went to this location 5 times(?) and saw 4 different techs I THINK it was,, i kept going back and trying again because I had Paid for the membership for a couple months and canceled when I realized I was not going to keep going here. The first tech (Alexis) that did them was AMAZING and lasted for about 4.5 weeks.. then i went back for next appt and Alexis was gone so a new girl did them, a full set again and she was so fast the appt only took 45 minutes and they lasted for about a week and a half, maybe... The Next 3 girls the full sets of lashes lasted a little over a week and then the last appt. i went in on day 1 got the full set, day 2 noticed a couple lashes on my shirt but I had a very short business trip and had to go out of town for a couple of days, day 3 more fallen lashes, by day 4 Im looking in the mirror and I have 1 lash left on my left eye and a few on my right, but I have a collection of them that had just fallen off on my shirt,arm ,leg, countertop, etc,,, day 5 traveling home, knowing i will call them in the morning to get them fixed, day 6 i called and I guess i needed to pay the 100.00+ for a new set since I waited past 5 days to get back in.. the ladies said they only guarantee the work for 5 days after that it's on me,I should have come back sooner.. so basically u can be sure to get SOME lashes for 5 days. Not sure if it is just the geneva location or all amazing lashes but saying they only expects them to stay on for 5 days is crazy, I'm not paying that much with or without the membership price for 5 days of lashes or in my case about 2 or 3 days worth cause after the 4th day it looked ridiculous. If I could, it would be -zero stars. I cancelled my membership right away. I came in for a full set and was charged 89. They seemed to look good so I agreed on trying the membership. My next fill was terrible. To begin with the room looked disgusting. It had overflowing garbage and there was black marks on the wall. I did not feel like the room was cleaned and ready to go just for me. Taking a closer look at them the same day I noticed that they were not placed anywhere near the lash line. They were half way down my actual lashes. I called them right away and they said they could see me the next day but said it would pretty much be a rushed appointment if there were to be something wrong with them. That was annoying already! I came in and I waited for a different "certified and professional" lash girl. She definitely did say there were done incorrectly and she does not know why. "That it happens" and shrugged her shoulders. She said she did not have time to fix all of them but she would do what she could. I expected someone to apologize for the inconvenience or at least acknowledge the situation. Instead I walked out and was asked you good now? Ummm... I guess? I called couple days later to cancel my membership. Today I went to VK lashes in Arlington Heights and she said my eyelashes were one of the worst she'd ever seen. They did not look like individual lashes. They looked like Walmart tabs. And were all glued and clumped together on my lashes. It was so infuriating to have been told that. Here we take our time and waste our money and trust people to do a really good job and get what you pay for. And it results in frustration and really crappy work! I get compliments on my eyelashes all the time!! The lashes are convenient because I'm not a fan of applying fake lashes everyday and I just like to keep my makeup simple. I wake up with my full, gorgeous lashes and I just apply some foundation and blush. The front desk staff are super sweet and welcoming. The eyelash techs are also friendly and do a well job most of the time. However, some (not all) need to better customer welcome the client. I just feel like "another one" sometimes. The waiting room looks cute and elegant. They have a fuzzy blanket if you'd like to lay down with it. They also put a roller thing below your knees so you are not over stretching your back. The music is relaxing most of the time, although I got service with no music at all before. I honestly don't mind waiting 24 hours after my refill to not get my lashes wet. It's not difficult. Lashes definitely looked great! The service was amazing and I felt comfortable through out the whole procedure (2hrs). Only a few things..... It's hard not to wash your eyes for 2 days. They fall out quickly if you don't let them set for the full 48hrs.... I had a hard time with that. No make up, no face washing :( After that they were great! Once they did fall out I could most definitely tell my eye lashes were not as full as they used to be. It is also very expensive to keep up with and get fills. I feel like this is a wedding occasion or big vacation type of salon visit. It's alright. Cheaper than other places. I've had the 6D glamour style lashes transition fill for 3 days now and I'm already getting quite a bit of fallout - none of which with my natural lash attached to those pieces which tell me those pieces didn't have enough glue on them to begin with. Also, my stylist got some glue in my hair which I didn't find out about until I got home which sucked but whatever. But my lashes look nice. I just home they'll last longer compared to the initial application like I was told they would but so far, some concern. read more

The only reason I am giving this review one star is because of the nasty experience I just had with Drea. The salon and rest of the staff are wonderful! I DO NOT recommend you go to Drea ever! This was my first fill for my first set of lashes ever and had some worries. I noticed that my lashes appeared broken which I later learned from the friendly front staff that mascara could do. I have been adding mascara to the tips of my lashes towards the end to fill them out while I awaited my fill. My fault I completely accept that and learned now that I should not do that. The friendly front door staff and helpful manager Monica told me to talk to Drea before I made a decision to take off the lashes. So I did. I went into the room with Drea and asked her to look at my lashes to see if they were damaged. She immediately started giving me an attitude about putting mascara on and stated that could cause them to break. Again, I said you know what your right from now on I know not to do that when they look sparse. I layed down and she asked if I removed all the mascara. I said yes and I used the makeup remover pads that the store sells. She told me she does not recommend those and "if I had it my way they would be taken off the shelf". Great knowing the techs don't recommend the product. She started looking at my lashes and noticed mascara residue. She said " I hope I'm just seeing things and I pray to God this isn't residue, although I think it is. I pray I'm just seeing things". I was in shock with her attitude. I asked her if I should run to the bathroom to remove it (they have two bottles of makeup remover in the bathrooms for moments like this). While placing the gel pads on my face she stated "No, I'm just going to apply the lashes wherever they will stick". Looking back its my fault for not stopping her there. She blatantly was telling me she was going to put them on poorly. I sat there somewhat shocked by her response and just shut my mouth and let her do my fill. At the end I looked at them and noticed she did not fill my lashes completely. I asked her to please go back and fill them. Again, I got an attitude. "Well, it's probably from the mascara residue". I responded "I asked you if I should wash my face again before starting". She got defensive and finally decided to take a closer look. After looking at my lashes she agreed some spots were missed. She agreed to go back and fill them, but at that point I just walked out. If she noticed residue she should have let me wash my lashes before the application. Or have me reschedule if they won't be applied correctly. I do not understand why she wouldn't let me go wash my face if she knew it would make it difficult for her to apply the lashes. I asked to talk to the manager immediately. Monica the manager on site was amazing. She asked me to sit down in her office to explain what happened. I explained my concerns about Drea refusing to let me wash off the residue, her attitude, and her poor fill job. She explained to me different options to resolve the issue and kept a professional warm demeanor through the experience. I want to thank Monica and the front desk for making this negative experience into a positive one. Monica did offer a complimentary correction session from the areas Drea missed. I am not ready to give up on the studio yet, but be warned DO NOT GO TO DREA if you want a pleasant experience. The application process itself is actually very relaxing, Drea just made it tension filled and negative. read more

This lady studio is very clean and professional looking, and also offers good customer service. However, within less than 5 hours of my lash application I had fallout from my lashes. While my lashes looked beautiful and full at first, they fell out rapidly and I found the overall experience not worth the money, even with the first time discount. The staff here and at the Naperville location are very friendly and helpful. I truly feel like they care about you walking out of the studio happy and excited about your lash experience. I like that they call and remind me when my monthly membership goes through because it gives me a nudge to schedule my next appointment. The flexibility to go to any location with my membership is nice too. They're prompt and do a good job in a short amount of time. Very disappointed. It's a good idea, but needs more professionalism. They use super glue so close to your eye and when your eyes tear and burn they just shove you out and say it will go away. Too rushed. I was willing to see out the year on my contract though. At first I would have given this place 5 stars because the girl I had gone two quite a few times (Drea) was magnificent and my lashes looked great! However, one time I wasn't able to get into her because of her booked schedule so I went to another girl. The next day my lash line looked a little irritated and red but it went away a few days later. I went back to that same girl (again because of Drea being booked) and I told her my eyes got a little irritated. She didn't say much but just wrote it down. The following day after that appointment my eyelids were once again red, irritated and itchy. This last visit I decided to try a different girl, AGAIN because Drea was booked, thinking I'd be fine because this has never happened to me and in general I don't have any allergies to speak of. I went to this new girl and again told her my issue with my last fill and she said nothing but wrote it down. I woke up the next morning with my eyes SO PUFFY I COULD BARELY OPEN THEM. The worst was I was waking up to catch a flight and had no time to for ALS to open up and for me to complain or ask questions about what was going on. I called yesterday not only to cancel my next appointment but to quite my membership. They won't cancel until I come in and sign which is ridiculous!!! I wear contacts and got incredibly freaked out and what was happening with my eyes when I've never had an issue before. The receptionist on the phone asked me if I had tried there "sensitive lash glue" that they offer. I TOLD HER I WAS NEVER OFFERED THAT even after the two times of bringing up sensitivity issues!! Amongst these situations I've encountered inconsistent practices every time I visit someone new there. I don't know if their tools don't get cleaned well enough or what but I won't go back and have told quite a few people about my experience. The girls aren't knowledgable about what to do or how this could of happened which baffled me and made me even more angry. More training needs to be done at these places and the management needs to look over thier girls more to make sure they are all doing the same thing and in the right way. HANDS DOWN WORST EXPERIENCE. I just made a yelp to write how bad my experience was. Yesterday was my first time getting lashes. I came home and looked in the mirror and saw that from one of my eyes the lashes fell off and were on my cheek. This was not even two hours after I had them done. Woke up and they were even worse. Came in today to get them fixed, the manager was upfront and did not apologize when I was clearly upset. Not only was the service terrible but the manager did not care at all. I will make sure that all of my friends, facebook friends, co-workers everyone know not to come to this location. I thought people go here to get beautiful lashes and I spent over $100 dollars and am highly upset!!!!!!!!!!! No one offered any apologies, discounts, nothing. I'm completely sick to my stomach because I was already so nervous to get them done because it's so expensive but how badly they came out and how I was treated. Because of this, I will most likely never get my lashes done again. I should have listened to all of the other bad reviews before I came in. I have never got eyelash extensions and I requested to book an appointment online the night before and they called me the next day to set up an appointment. The lobby is cute and clean and the receptionist was kind. When I first got in, I checked in, just had to sign a few things. After that I waited only a few minutes and was greeted by Sandra. Sandra led me back to the room where she would apply the lashes. She asked me if I had looked at the styles at all and asked me what I wanted. I chose the style, gorgeous and decided to focus on length over volume. Sandra was so awesome, we had great conversation and she made me feel comfortable. She did an amazing job on my lashes. I would recommend her to anyone, she's just lovely! Two hours flew by. Loved my first experience here. read more
