I started reading up on "Permanent Makeup" with the hope I could find a good artist to help restore my brows with a "natural look". That is when I stumbled upon Kelly's Totally Cool Makeup site. I went in for my consultation feeling nervous--after all, I had never even had a tattoo placed in a hidden spot much less had permanent makeup etched into my face! Once I sat down, explained to Kelly what I was looking for in my brows and she carefully listened, I realized I had found the right "artist". Like an artist, she measured my face, helped me select colors, she spoke to me about shape of my brow and she even PAINTED on the color and shape so I could make the final choice of shape on my own; I appreciated this as it gave me the visual I needed to feel confident that I would end up with what I wanted. I started with a more conservative approach..a lighter color and not as thick at first. I went in 4 weeks later for my "touch up (included in the price) and Kelly added dimension with a deeper color. I loved it. Since that time, two years ago, I went in again recently to add color, dimension and shape. Now at 50, my brows are more beautiful than ever! I am an athlete and fitness instructor who walks around most often with no make up--I run, swim and sweat a lot! And still, most people have NO IDEA my brows are "permanent makeup". She cancelled the first appointment we set up because of something that came up with her son. No problem. When another appointment was set and I got to her salon, she became brisk with me when she saw that what I really needed was a fix to previously tattooed brows that were done with ink that she said was the wrong kind. Since there were no qualifiers to the contest, I had no idea that I would be a problem. At that point, she acted like she wouldn't honor the "free" element to this deal and I told her I was willing to pay for the extra it would take for her to fix my brows. Her work was good but after the initial appointment where she attempted to lift some of the bad color (which I paid her to do), I went in for a second appointment to get the brows colored. Again, I paid her something for doing that. I needed a third appointment (which she indicated I needed) but she no longer returned my calls when I was attempting to set something up. The whole experience left me wondering how she manages to stay in business. She could use a lesson or two in how to treat people.

I used to be a plucker but ever since going to her, i will never go back to attempting to do my own eyebrows because they will NEVER look as good as when she does them. I also go to her for my spray tans (tanning beds are BAD people) and i have the driest skin EVER and she nails it every time. My tan lasts 12 days without even a smidge of it fading off before the 12 days are up! They always look like a natural glow rather than Snooki circa 2009. Her tans are also so CHEAP compared to other places and she offers $30 Thursdays! Lastly, I recently stood up in a wedding and the bride hired Kelly to do everyone's makeup- every single bridesmaid was obsessed with how they looked.
