I liked that this location was closest to me and that the pricing was extremely affordable in comparison to some other locations I researched! I should note that this location is in an older house, on the second floor. It was a bit hard to find and the signs were barely visible from the road. That's my only critique. Gretchen was extremely patient, helpful and sweet. She carefully helped me select a chain and charms I was happy with. She gave helpful suggestions but was in no way pushy and very happy to answer questions. I had brought my 7 year old son with me and she even explained the welding process to him as he was interested in that part and let him watch with her safety glasses! She really went above and beyond to make it a fun experience. I liked that nearly all chains are the same pricing--I believe $65 for a gold plated bracelet and $75 for an anklet (I believe the sterling silver were priced a bit less?) Charms are $15 and there was a lot to choose from. She was running a summer special at the time for $140 for an anklet, bracelet and ring which I thought was a great deal! Gretchen explained "the jewelry is as permanent as you'd like it to be" meaning it shouldn't tarnish but you can easily remove it with a pair or scissors or pliers if you decide to. She can reweld it back on you later if you like! I saw one other review say her jewelry tarnished and fell off fairly quickly. Gretchen did say she will reweld any jewelry that falls off. She also had several anklets and bracelets on that she had worn for a while that looked as good as new. I'm optimistic my jewelry will stand up to wear and tear but I'll try to update the review in a few months. I'm already planning a trip back with a girlfriend to get more bracelets added!!

It's a small salon but the inside has the amenities of a big name salon. It was very clean and very inviting (which you wouldn't get with a big name salon).. Walter greeted us immediately and my daughter dove into the Dum Dum lollipops by the entrance while we waited. We saw Megan who was so wonderful. My daughter started crying as she was explaining was she wanted with her hair, because she wasn't sure how it would turn out. She decided she wanted to keep her bangs, so Megan did help with the layers to thin out her hair. Megan was so sweet to my daughter, putting her at ease and asking her questions about her summer so far. Even though it was just a $13 haircut, Megan made us feel like it was a $100 haircut. I was told…read moreyes, so I made the appointment and specifically told them I wanted my old gel nails removed and to do a new full set with one nail being extended. so I went in and the original person who started to take off my nails, decided that she was going to remove the gel that was sitting on top of my nails with another fake nail instead of buffing it off and putting acetone on it like they normally do. I asked what she was doing and was told that as long as it didn't hurt me, I was fine yet I can see the top of my nails being ripped off onto the gel because of the way she was removing it. once I said something, she decided she was no longer doing my nails, so I was passed on to the owner now being the owner. I thought I was in good hands. Well, I thought wrong! he tried to let me know that the powder he wanted to use on my nails was gel when in fact, it was not and they had to show him what gel actually is. He then proceeded to take off my old gel and didn't give me any sort of manicure my cuticles were not pushed back or anything. He put on a layer of no chip clear base before starting the gel! if anyone has ever gotten their nails done, they know that is a big no no and I said something right away. he insisted this was the way to do it so I let him and now it's been two weeks later and the gel has completely fallen off my nail my nail has broken and the no chip base coat is still on my nail. so unless you're going in for a typical manicure or no chip manicure, I probably would not go here.

I started reading up on "Permanent Makeup" with the hope I could find a good artist to help restore my brows with a "natural look". That is when I stumbled upon Kelly's Totally Cool Makeup site. I went in for my consultation feeling nervous--after all, I had never even had a tattoo placed in a hidden spot much less had permanent makeup etched into my face! Once I sat down, explained to Kelly what I was looking for in my brows and she carefully listened, I realized I had found the right "artist". Like an artist, she measured my face, helped me select colors, she spoke to me about shape of my brow and she even PAINTED on the color and shape so I could make the final choice of shape on my own; I appreciated this as it gave me the visual I needed to feel confident that I would end up with what I wanted. I started with a more conservative approach..a lighter color and not as thick at first. I went in 4 weeks later for my "touch up (included in the price) and Kelly added dimension with a deeper color. I loved it. Since that time, two years ago, I went in again recently to add color, dimension and shape. Now at 50, my brows are more beautiful than ever! I am an athlete and fitness instructor who walks around most often with no make up--I run, swim and sweat a lot! And still, most people have NO IDEA my brows are "permanent makeup". She cancelled the first appointment we set up because of something that came up with her son. No problem. When another appointment was set and I got to her salon, she became brisk with me when she saw that what I really needed was a fix to previously tattooed brows that were done with ink that she said was the wrong kind. Since there were no qualifiers to the contest, I had no idea that I would be a problem. At that point, she acted like she wouldn't honor the "free" element to this deal and I told her I was willing to pay for the extra it would take for her to fix my brows. Her work was good but after the initial appointment where she attempted to lift some of the bad color (which I paid her to do), I went in for a second appointment to get the brows colored. Again, I paid her something for doing that. I needed a third appointment (which she indicated I needed) but she no longer returned my calls when I was attempting to set something up. The whole experience left me wondering how she manages to stay in business. She could use a lesson or two in how to treat people.
