Wow seems like they keep removing my review even after getting threatened to take it down because it's ruining business for them. Well I'm not going to lie that eyebrow color didn't take first time with thick thick scabs then go again and she keeps saying your going to remove review right and I will do lip. I said no thank god because I might of looked like a clown because the eyeliner she then did all gone!!!! I think by having me come back I pay her more money because I first had Groupon and Tammy was texting with me and knew I had Groupon and I get there she shows me list I said no I have Groupon. I was not going to write this review because I received a full refund for the microblading service I paid for and Manni reassured me the mistakes she made would fade. The mistakes never faded. March 16 2020 I got my eyebrows microbladed by Manni. She took a phone call while performing the service and had an intense conversation with someone stressing about Coronavirus while digging into my right eyebrow in the same spot over and over again. Let me back up, I came to Manni with perfect microbladed eyebrows. I just dyed my hair from blonde to brown and wanted them darker. I told her follow my current brow shape, just darken then. This is not hard. I didn't want any reshaping or eyebrow mapping, just a darker color to match my new dark hair. So Now, July 5 2020, the mistake she made on my right eyebrow is still clearly visible and full of textured scars. Her technique, bedside manner and professionalism are unacceptable. She tries to be really nice, but semi-permanent makeup is on your face! A technician should take that seriously. This is not a professional business. I came here once using a groupon for eyelash extensions. The owner texted me 1 hours before my appointment asking me to come at a different time. When I got there the previous client was in the room still. Manny (the owner) did not change the bedding, nor bothered to even move the blanket and pillows the previous client used. I didn't see her take out new tools, I also didn't see any type of way for her to clean her tools. The "salon" is very dirty and unorganized. I am so lucky I didn't catch some type of disease. Not only did I find this place disgusting but my eyelashes looked horrible. They were put on crooked, when I pointed it out she was unable to fix them and said it was okay. The eyelash extensions started to fall out after 1 hour and continued to fall out. I was not picking at the eyelashes, they were just falling out on their own. After my appointment I looked more into the salon because I was shocked about how filthy it was. This salon does not have updated license. The manager or owner Manny was unprofessional and her so called salon is very dirty. Do not buy the Groupon because it is cheap. It is not worth getting an infection. They should not be doing microblading!!! So the first problem is the woman seemed to be confused about my appointment and acted as if I didn't schedule it. I took the day off of work for this so I wasn't having it. She had to have her sister drop off the equipment so it was a 35 min wait for her to finish with her current client and then it was another hour before she could start my eyebrows waiting for the equipment. I was shocked when I walked in the room. It was the size of my walk in closet. She even tripped on me once as she's was taking pics of my brows before the microblading as I sat in the chair. There was no ventilation and it was myself, her, and her sister I was shocked it was allowed to be open at that stage of the pandemic. The place is a building with offices, hers seems to be like a closet in this office building. She then tells me to do a different service like microblading but shading, showed me pics and I said no, it doesn't look natural. Asked her to show me pics of her microblading but kept showing me pics of this shading technique. I had purchased a Groupon and stated this shading service, everyone requests from her and it would be $35 more. I didn't want to but she wouldn't let up after like the third no from me I finally said yes. I wanted to cry when I first saw my brows. I looked like Count Dracula. Very thick and very dark and arched. When I told her how I felt she said that it's always dark like that in the beginning and in six weeks to come pay her $60 and she'll fix them, wtf! I've gotten my eyebrows micro-bladed before and looked nothing like this horror! I can't leave the house without glasses or a cap! Worst of all my eyebrows got infected went to the doctors today and it's so bad my real eyebrow hairs are gone in some areas too! Her sister ended up doing my lashes for a Groupon I purchase the same day, and those turned out ok. But already falling off. My sister I haven't seen in fives years is coming from out of state next week and I won't be able to to take pics with her because I look like a monster. She even charged me an extra $5 for the cream to put on my eyebrows! Groupon refunded the cost of the eyebrows but I'm not getting back the $40 she made me pay there Ontop of the tip I gave them (although I shouldn't of tipped at all) and I have to look like a monster for who knows how long! Two experiences here for two difference services. Brazilian wax was good although scheduling was a bit tricky - they mainly correspond over text and aren't consistent about replying. Eyelash extensions look fine but many have already fallen out and it's only been 15 hours since they were done. I've had extensions before at many places, know and follow the proper after care regimen and this has never happened before. Not sure if it's the adhesive they use, the service provider doing something wrong or what. But after my last lash job @ eurolux which survived fully intact for like a full month and the last ones didn't fall off for 2.5 months (!) this is sh*t work in comparison. Against the advice of one of my peer nurses I work with who got an infection after going to this place I purchased a groupon. I thought maybe it was a rare thing regarding infection since I have been getting lash extensions for two years from a different location and have never had a problem. I called once to try to make an appointment and was asked my groupon number. I didn't have it with me since I have never needed a groupon number to make an appointment with other purchases. I was then told repeatedly I could pay her directly and the same price as groupon......well I already purchased the groupon, why in the world would I want to pay a second time? So I was told to call back with the groupon number, and I called back with in a few minutes and gave her the groupon number and then was told "thank you" and she abruptly hung up. Ummmm I was trying to make an appointment! So I called A THIRD time and it went directly to voice mail. If it is this difficult just to make an appointment, forget about it. I asked Groupon for my money back. I would rather pay a lash salon full price then play games simply trying to make an appointment. I am glad I did, since many of the reviews state the lashes fell out quickly. I went to a salon in Naperville in which it took 3-4 weeks for the lashes to fall out. I was trying to find somewhere closer to home, but I will gladly go back to Naperville. As an update, Groupon gave me my money back and they told me it usually takes up to three days, but based on my experience they would refund it to me in 24 hours. Manny was the rudest lady ever. she was over and hour late for the appointment. my eyelashes looked terrible and immediately fell off in clusters taking my real ones with. she snatched my money out of my hand at the end of my appointment and said she will count it. The place was a little hard to find (it's upstairs from the street) and the room was super tiny, like you have to squeeze through a partially open door to get in. The room itself is very cozy and cute. Also as an FYI - the whole process of getting lash extensions is a little uncomfortable: stings, eyelids pulsing, weird prickly feeling. Terrible business. Around 12 PM on Sunday, July 15, I tried to make a same day appointment for lashes. The lady told me they had a 6pm appointment available. I agreed to take the appointment until she told me I had to make a deposit using a credit card because people would not show up. I understood, but still wasn't willing to give my credit card information so I told her that I would call back and if the appointment was still available, I'd come. TWO hours later at 2:30pm, I received a text confirming a 6pm appointment. I cancelled at 3:45pm as I was at my confirmed lash appointment (done without a credit card). DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO LOSE YOUR REAL LASHES!!!! I had some-what nice lashes that were pretty thick and had some regular length... I went to get my lashes done by Tammy in December and followed all of the instructions when it came to taking care of my lashes. I was careful with them and did not pull or tug, and allowed them to fall out on their own. While they were falling out, some/ majority of my real lashes went with them. After most of them have fallen out, my lashes are now brittle, thin, short, and barely noticeable. It is now February and there are still a few lashes stuck to my eyes and will not come out. It was the most painful experience with the lashes being on top of my skin instead of a cm away, making them poke me like crazy. I did say it hurt and I was told my skin is sensitive.
