I got eyelash extensions here for the first time and am pretty pleased with the results overall! After I checked in, I was taken to the back and placed in my own room to get my lashes done, which was nice because I've been to places where everyone is getting their lashes done in a collective space. However, I will say that the previous place I've been to for lash lifts looked a lot nicer than Amazing Lash Studio. I didn't think it would take 2 hours to get my lashes done, but it does and I probably fell asleep and woke up 4-5 times during that time. Luckily, you get very comfortable and they put a blanket over you. I asked if I needed to remove my contacts for this and was told I didn't have to so I guess that's only really necessary for lash lifts. It wasn't painful at all, except when they removed something from my bottom lash line at the end and you could tell it didn't want to come off. When we were finished, I noticed I couldn't open my left eye all the way, so she had to go back and remove whatever glue they use so I could open my eye and I also noticed some of the black color they put over the glue on my eyelid on that side which I just wiped off later. I really did love the overall look of my lashes! I've gotten many compliments on my lashes and it is nice not having to put on mascara! My right eye was perfect, but I could tell my left eye did not get the same loving because I could see large chunks of the white glue, which began to become less noticeable a few days afterwards. One of the lashes fell out the next day from my left eye which surprised me because I thought they'd stay on a little better. It's been over a week since I got them done and my right eye is still perfection, while my left eye has lost quite a few lashes so I'm getting a little lopsided. I was surprised by all the maintenance these lashes required because I thought they were supposed to make my life easier, but after having them on for a week, I'd probably do it again for a special occasion. read more

I had a 4:00 appointment with Bri. Her immediate negative demeanor indicated she might be having a rough day. Before my appointment I called to inform the salon about a slight delay due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite arriving 9 minutes late, they said it was not a problem and to drive safely. My brother-in-law passed away and we were rushing out of state for his funeral. We had an appointment to get an updated RV registration. They were running behind but I couldn't reschedule. I called the studio as soon as I left the office to share I was running a few minutes late. I fully understand time commitments and respecting appointment start times especially because my prior commitment to an appointment was not respected which made me run few minutes late as well. The receptionist thanked me for calling to give the heads up and said it wasn't a problem. The client before me was still checking out while I waited so I felt better knowing I would have been waiting anyways. After a few minutes and then Bri still setting things up in the room we got started. Bri's pace during the appointment felt slower than usual compared to other techs, and she seemed either frustrated or reserved compared to other stylists. I noticed she moved a lot slower than other appointments before. I immediately noticed Bri came off as either having a flustered day or perhaps she just had a colder personality than the other girls here. Either way, I thought the exchange was pleasant enough, and she started. We sat for a while as she fanned at the end, which was noticeably longer than any other time I've had an appointment. When I sat up I gasped because the outsides of my eyes weren't done and there were noticeable gaps. I mentioned as kindly as I could there were visible spaces. She laughed. Out loud. And then stated, "Ya. You were late. That's all I have time for." I started to panic and said "Wait a second, I don't understand, so what happens now?" And she coldly began tossing items down on her tray and shrugged & said that's "all I get". My eyes welled up with tears panicking that she was leaving me in that state. I technically wasn't even over on time, she finished few minutes before and instead of arguing with me for a minute and dramatically rolling her eyes had she just applied a few more lashes to finish the job she could have fixed the problem. This wasn't a time thing, this was a power struggle. She wasn't even ready when I got there and suddenly she treated me as if I missed half the appointment. If she didn't think she would have time to finish the job, this should have been effectively communicated before she started by explaining I should be aware there would be a chance she'd only make it partially through the job and I would have politely just not had my lashes done at all. Instead she mentioned it wasn't a problem when we started. Feeling shocked, I approached the receptionist to explain the situation. Though understanding, due to time constraints, I couldn't schedule a follow-up before leaving for a funeral the next morning. It was disheartening to experience such treatment from what I thought was a respectable studio. I tried to remain respectful but inquisitive. I walked outside before I said something unprofessional because I wanted to control my emotions despite feeling very triggered and attacked. I realized that in spite of my anger, she was still a person, no one is perfect, and I needed to be the bigger person, and still needed to leave a tip, even if it wouldn't have been as big as I normally left someone. Why did I walk back in? I realized that as dissatisfied as I was with her service I forgot to tip her because I'm not a monster. I immediately I walked back in to listen to her insult me. And I awkwardly stood there waiting for them to notice I was there. Instead of tipping her I confirmed my membership cancelation. Despite this negative encounter with Bri, I want to acknowledge exceptional staff like Roni, who has consistently provided personable, professional, and thorough service in the past. My hope is that the salon invests in employees like Roni who prioritize customer experience, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and a basic pride in her service. My experience was so poor with Bri, I will not return and I'm still upset I unfairly paid for a partial service, after explaining I would not be in town to fix the issue after the next day. Plus my drive is 30 minutes each way and I would not waste another hour in the car. To make matters worse, my right eyelashes came nearly out after the 4th day. I want to emphasize the significance of clear communication and professionalism. I hope this feedback can be helpful for this salon's improvement and for prospective clients evaluating their options knowing it might not be communicated properly that they might just leave you partially done and then cruelly laugh at you. I don't recommend this place due to the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the staff. I was a member in another city and went to rejoin. When I got there I got a "hello" and I replied that I had an appointment . I was handed a small paper cup and was told to go was my lashes. As I walked down the hall I said hello to an employee and she just kept walking. When I came from the restroom and she found that I was her appointment she had a hello for me - they always want a tip! Anyhow, I asked her not to give me long lashes. Of course I left with longer than natural lashes as requested - thanks ;) When I got back to the reception area, there was another customer at the counter, so I browsed the retail corner and picked up a serum (picture serum in my hand) and stood in a spot that seemed to be next in line. So, then the girl at the desk seemed annoyed that I hadn't left yet! Lol So I told her that I hadn't paid yet & I wanted to purchase this (showing serum). So, she told me the cost and it was much more than I recalled so I asked. NOTE: I knew before I asked that she would assume that I couldn't pay the service and she didn't disappoint! :-) So, said girl states (still annoyed although I'm pretty sure that she applied for the job that positioned her to answer these questions) that the price is higher because you're not a member. So, me being me, I asked "so, I used to have a membership, is that not a thing anymore?' Her: "yes, it is." Me: "are you just not offering memberships today?" (This was kind of a hint to her. I have worked for massage envy and had a membership before - you don't get to leave until you join! Lol ) Her: "we are, would you like a membership?" Me: "nope and I don't want the serum either. I booked my first appointment online (it literally says "Thanks for booking your appointment") and they immediately started calling me saying they needed "more information" before they could "secure my booking." Turns out they are demanding a credit card. Why not just ask for the credit card when I book online then? Super shady. Then I came on here and read everyone else's reviews about how shady this place is and how they charge your card without your permission, and I told them to just cancel my appointment. 2nd part of my review. It was too much to post in one, but this place dude. After the storm I called again and I got the same poor treatment from the other manager, not Katie. Like 3 times. How I was not supposed to get charged for anything since I called that very same day. It wasn't my fault their staff doesn't do their job right and didn't give me the adequate information as far as the forms needed to be filled out to cancel. Still had to go out my way to sign and cancel again. I went in today in person to talk to this other manager, not Katie. Very patronizing attitude, not helpful what so ever. Explained all of the above again and she told me she wasn't going to cancel my account until this outstanding balance was paid. I had to go out my way doing all these unnecessary things through my bank because of this establishment. Horrible work, cheap looking beginner lashes, rude staff, nasty management. I got a service from y'all there one time and I thought I wanted to get a membership even though I was not satisfied with my first set in there. After some thought I decided not to go forward with this company. I called right away to cancel my membership and I was told I wasn't going to be charged since I cancelled it right away. I just came to realize I wasn't only charged once but twice the amount of $119.99. Once on the 02/23/22 and then on 03/23/22. I called and was told that a refund had been issued to yet still be waiting on it all. Let me be clear. Brooke, the stylist is incredible. She is amazing at what she does and completes the work in half the time other stylists do, while doing a great job. This place is absolutely ridiculous. From the scheduling to the disrespect staff at the front all the way to the manager. I called and asked to cancel my membership due to giving my lashes a break. I was told I needed to come in and cancel. The following day I did just that. Signed a form and they told me a manager would deactivate my membership. I then got a call from a manager (Mia) who called me 1 week after I filled out that form. She then told me it was deactivated. And that I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED a fee. I would not suggest this studio, their customer service and front desk staff are awful. I was told I had no subscription over the phone in May. I noticed charges on my card this August I called back & they rudely said no one told me I had no subscription they clearly see it, essentially calling me a liar. To cancel this ghost subscription they indicated I needed to come into the store and dispute the charges with my bank because they are not providing a refund. They record their calls! I had a brand new lash set and the girl put so much glue that none fell out for like 3 weeks. She used a sharpie to draw I guess where she was going to put the hairs and I could smell it. Admittedly I've never had a lash extension experience before, but I really enjoyed my first time. The staff is very friendly and professional. I set my appointment up with the store manager Vanessa and she answered all of my questions. I met with my technician Elena and had a discussion about how I wear my makeup and what look I'm trying to achieve. Amazing Lash has 4 different styles to choose from depending on what look you're going for. The whole process took about an hour for a full set. Elena had a great 'bedside manner' and kept me entertained the whole time. It's amazing that someone can do such precision work while keeping up in conversation. I would not recommend this place! I went twice and was disappointed both times. My first visit, my lashes were shedding within a few hours. Plus they didn't honor the advertisement for your first full set, I was charged full price. I called the next day to voice my concerns and all I got was "next time we will use a stronger glue". Got my full set of lashes Tuesday I was sitting in the parking lot when the inner corner lashes came off(these were stuck when I opened my eyes after the application was finished). By Friday more than half came off already. I even bought the cleaning kit they offer you there to take care of them. I am really sad they did not last even a week even after following all instructions I was given. I also did my eyebrows the tech has to do everything thing twice and the patches really small because the wax kept getting hard and unable to work with it because it was so cold. They lied and said my daughter pulled her lashes out... and wouldn't service her because she had less than 50% left. The lashes don't last but a week, maybe!! We tried their recommended lash wash, brush and wear googies in the shower the first 3 days after application, still fall out after a week. And their fills are an hour appointment and look half done and not filled properly, with one eye being filled more than the other eye. I tried numerous techs and they all need to go back to school. I'm sad to post this review because the lash tech and everybody at the salon was genuinely lovely and so kind. I got lash extensions for the first time yesterday, 9/18. When I finished the appointment, I noticed that the eyelashes weren't as full as I had originally wanted and made a note to ask for a fuller look next time. When I got home and had a minute to look at my eyelashes more closely, I was disappointed to see that they looked very uneven with one eye being much fuller than the other eye. I contacted a couple of lash techs at different salons to see if they could fix them, and both told me that my eyelash extensions had been applied incorrectly and would need to be removed completely :( I called Amazing Lash to request a refund, but the girl who answered the phone told me I will have to call back when the manager is in next. Also, I purchased a protective eye mask for sleep while I was there having my lashes done, and when I got home and opened the box, it was empty :( In conclusion, everybody at Amazing Lash was very friendly, but I wasted a good amount of money :( read more

This will be my first yelp review because I'm just so disappointed with this place. I will say though before my previous lash tech left I honestly had no problems. The only thing was that they have canceled more than a couple of times, and I understand that things happen because I too have had to reschedule but it's a full-time routine at this point, and judging by the previous reviews I'm not the only one who is experiencing this...which is sad. Another issue is that the "receptionists" (a handful of them), have this passive-aggressive attitude towards you when they are asked valid questions that they simply can't explain because it's evident they don't know what they are doing. My previous lash tech had done a refill on me right before she left. She offered to do a last full set the following week before she completely left, unfortunately, she left earlier so they called me and we rescheduled but this time it was with a new tech. They scheduled it for about another week out. That appointment was fine. She ended up doing another refill on my lashes and I was supposed to come in 2 weeks later, but they canceled the appointment and moved it. Ok so now we're up to date because on Friday I go in for my appointment and the receptionist checked me in I went to wash my "lashes" (I say that because technically there were none they had all fallen out by now). The tech comes to get me and says "are you here for a refill"? And then walks me back to the front where the receptionist proceeds to pull up my information and tell me I must reschedule because I have less than 50% of my lashes on. I'm standing there in shock because no duh!? I have no lashes because you guys keep rescheduling!? And this is why I had to cancel my membership because what am I paying a monthly fee for plus one "free refill" but I can't even get into the studio twice a month because y'all continue to cancel it? This same receptionist proceeded to question me in front of everyone (The tech, herself, and another associate) if I canceled my membership there with them and I responded yes. she says "How? well you couldn't have because you started your membership in Brownsville and you would have to cancel it at that specific location". Again I'm shocked because that's false information and I have no clue what she's talking about. No surprise though she had the wrong information pulled up... Anyways so they push it back to Sunday and what do you know I'm getting a phone call the day of the appointment from yet another passive-aggressive receptionist trying to reschedule! I'm clearly iterated and expressed my frustrations to get the response in a very sarcastic tone, "Well things happen in life and I'm sorry that they have come up but I can compensate you for the inconvenience on the volumes you get". She also tells me that she can get in for today but it will be at 4:40. I said fine and she hangs up...then calls right back to say she has availability for 2:30 today if I'd like to come in earlier. I simply asked would this be with a master stylist because as a customer I can ask those questions. She proceeds with the attitude to tell me No, and how they only have one master stylist at the location, and how she already told me the master tech wouldn't be in hence why she had to reschedule today. To clarify she didn't tell me they only had one master stylist at the location, my bad I guess I should have known that! Lastly, this last set I got lasted more than 2 hours when usually it is only 1 hour or less. It was by far one of the most uncomfortable experiences for me. My head cramped up so many times. So now I too will be making that extra drive to a different location because this one is not worth it. read more
