Because he was injured and had to deal with medications and another vehicle the next day, he couldn't get to the tow yard until the following day. I live out of town, so I called and offered to pay over the phone to get his truck released so storage fees wouldn't keep adding up. They refused and insisted he had to come in person to sign. By the time we were able to pay, they charged $625 for a 3-mile tow and one day of storage, plus another $111 to move the truck to another location, bringing the total to over $730 for about 10 miles of towing. My father lives on Social Security and had just been in an accident. We hoped they would show a little understanding, but they did not. In my opinion, these charges were excessive.
